Highly fun holiday show for the whole family. All ages will enjoy the jokes, songs, and story. The theater is also nice. Well worth the price of admission. James Snyder as Gus is perfect as the bad guy who both sings and tells funny jokes.

It was a fabulous show! The actors and ensemble were spectacular! The only thing that was in need of adjustment was the sound in the performing arts center; we were up in the Balcony and the sound system didn't seem to be very loud. In fact, it was sometimes hard to hear what the main actors were singing over the ensemble.

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies, so I couldn't wait to see this show. Every single actor was on point, the sets were beautiful, the music was amazing, I wanted to sing along with them. Belle was beautiful, the Beast had an amazing voice and his added temper tantrums were hilarious. Gaston was unforgettable as well as the slightly pervy Lumiere. My friends and I had an amazing time and will definitely go see it again when it comes back to town!

It is hard to believe that this is a high school performance! The production was professional, the players were incredibly talented, and the musicians divine. Other than a few rough mic problems, it was well worth attending! I would recommend buying from the box office- we paid $10.50 more for 2 tickets for the convenience of ordering online!

What a fantastic performance! I love to see teenagers display their talents as they did in Beauty and the Beast. The young people in this play were truly amazing! The kids' commitment to quality is evident. This play was as good as any I have seen at the GR Civic Theater!

I went to two different shows. I took my 4 year old granddaughter to one and my 7 year old grandson to the other one. We all enjoyed it so much. The talent was outstanding. Belle was fantastic! Gaston, Mrs. Potts and Lumineer really stood out as well. But the entire cast was truly outstanding! And the icing on the cake was that all the characters came out to take pictures with the kids. Their kindness towards them made their experience extra special. Thank you to everyone who put this wonderful production together.

I ll start with the pros. The show was VERY entertaining and I would definitely recommend it. They stuck to the Disney storyline very nicely. The singing was absolutely wonderful and the main characters did a great job. The negatives: the costumes, although amusing, could use a little improvement. Chip s head showing in the teacup was just kind of weird. The sound (other than the main characters) needs improvement, could barely hear any dialogue from anyone other than those that had their own mics. We missed a lot of the side conversations, even though they were the only conversations going on at the time. All in all, my wife and I had a great time and enjoyed the show.

Three generations attended the family fun. Always a delight, but not the same village feel as at the Pasadena Playhouse. Missed the elf pictures and only saw Santa in the lobby, as we entered the auditorium. Show was delightful, however when it got dark and the animals came out, twice they scared the toddler. Belle was perfect and the cast very talented.

This is the 4th Chistmas Panto my family and I have seen. It has become part of our annual holiday tradition and I'm happy to say this year's show has redeemed the reason we added it to our list of things to do. The new venue is great, the cast was fantastic, and writing had something for everyone. My tweens actually laughed out loud! Looking forward to next year!

This play was not focused on children but rather adults with all the one-liners they said Panto is for children to get involved . There was very little interaction and instruction by the performers to get the children involved. Last year' s performance of Cinderella was much much better This was a very poor performance for children

The actors and dancers did a wonderful job and for the most part their voices were terrific, but the music chosen for this play and the storyline itself was just too far from the actual play and seemed a bit disjointed. We are big fans of the panto style and have seen several plays and accross the board this was our least favorite.

Amazing cast, AMAZING singing! Loved the way current music is incorporated and the audience participation. Laugh out loud humor. If you have young children, you absolutely have to get a Golden Ticket for them. The kids with a Golden Ticket get to come on stage and be "part of the show." Adorable. Can't wait for next year!

The script sounds made up in the spot. Sort of lethargic and wandering. The costumes have none of the zip and hilarity of years past. The cast is fine but what can they do with a script written in an hour. There is no Christmas element at all- none. It is an absolute standard telling of beauty and the beast but none of the inhabitants of The beast s house are objects. Apparently that would have required new fun costumes. Belle is a fine singer but she comes across as rude and somewhat unpleasant. The song choice this year seems half hearted. I m sad to say I have nothing nice to say and some folks are leaving at intermission. I would have if I didn t have kids who were liking it. But even they missed things like the zany and wild stepsisters from Cinderella. They all agreed no villains equals no fun.

This musical had the feel of being hurriedly put to together. The choreography was weak, the music was pop, the storyline was flimsy. But entertaining it was, especially for girls between the ages of 5 and 11. The lead roles had excellent voices, especially Jonah Platt as the Beast (but he did not have many songs to sing). The comic characters stole the show for me; Jared Gertner as Pierre and Harrison White as Dame Chanel.

I attended this musical with my twelve year-old daughter, and we were both entranced by the production. There was a four year-old girl sitting next to me, dressed in a Belle dress, and she was mesmerized throughout also (not a small feat for preschoolers!). In this particular show, both Maurice and the Beast were played by understudies, but they were fantastic and we would have never known they weren't the every day performers. If you're looking for reviews of the San Jose Center for Performing Arts, then I absolutely recommend the venue too. It's just the right size. We sat in the balcony, 7th row and to the right of center. We had a clear view of the stage and the sound was perfect.

This was a gift for my 8 year old's birthday. She absolutely loved it as we all did! We had front row seats and it was great to see the actors'/actresses' expressions close up like that. And the kids were excited that they got to see the orchestra below us.

I took my 4 year old granddaughter and she was just awed by this musical. The singing was exceptional and the characters were so animated she easillay identified all of them. I am still trying to figure out how they hid "Chip's" body. I highly recommend this production. It will take you into a magical place for a few hours

The singing was incredible, backdrops were beautiful and lots of humor mixed in throughout. Very easy to follow along for my boyfriend who had never seen the movie. Loved every bit of it!

We enjoyed the performance, but this really didn't WOW us. We expect more from a Broadway magnitude production. Actors were good, but not spectacular. Sets were uninspiring. Some nice illusions to make Chip appear as just a head on the tea cart. Puppet work in the opening and wolf scenes was good, but short lived. Overall, a very average (maybe even below average) production.

I was quite disappointed to see that Prince Charming was not charming or handsome. Throughout the whole show, I was hoping the beast would change into a tall, handsome prince. But to my disappointment, he did not. I wish the beast had stayed as the beast. Prince Charming was short and chubby. He also threw a huge tantrum when Belle refused to dine with him the first night. Ugh!!! Overall, the show was good. I just wish the cast for Prince Charming was better looking. Soooo disappointed. :-(

This production was not of the same quality as the original broadway and touring shows. I was disappointed in the flimsy sets, average costumes, removal of songs and scenes (and it still runs 2.5hrs!!), and small average cast. My daughter loved it, but this being her first musical she didn't know better, but I did and I can't believe I was charged broadway prices for a sub-par show.

My 23 year old daughter and I went as a girls day out. We were not disappointed. The music was beautiful, costumes were amazing and I didn't want to blink in case I would miss something. My Wife and I really enjoyed the show. The Acting was great - and the sets were nice for the limited size of the stage at our local theatre. They added some welcome touches of humor throughout which kept things fresh for people familiar with the animated movie. The production was mediocre. I purchased the tickets to celebrate my daughter's (age 6)birthday; she wasn't impressed either. The play was definitely not worth the $150.00 that I paid. There were a few times where we were unable to see the left side of the stage. They were beside the ushers, and they were loud during some scenes. One usher was right behind me yelling at another audience member to not take any pictures of the stage. We have attended local productions at the Northeast Alabama Community College and witnessed spectacular talent.

I've seen this play before, but this was the first time I took my daughter (5) to one. She loved it. It was a lovely play for us to enjoy together. The only downfall were our seats, row B lower balcony...a huge bar above the railing obstructed our view and my daughter had to sit in my lap the whole time in order to be able to see somewhat better. I would've expected better viewing for the ticket price.

After watching 4 Broadway shows this Christmas break in NY (extremely expensive!), this was an interesting experience. Mark C Smith hall is not designed for such shows. People kept coming late, going in and out, an usher for some reason kept getting up every now and then and blocking our view. About the performance itself, it was good. Very colorful and with good production values. As the title of the review states, it caters directly to kids. I found the emotional quotient of the show to have been diluted with emphasis on physical comedy. The prince was all goofy which did not do much for showing his torment, inner conflict or despair. The second half was a not too gentle wrap up of the story and appeared rushed as compared to the somewhat plodding first half.

The quality of the sets and effects, singing and acting were great. But some of the costumes were shockingly skimpy, the level of sexual innuendo was very high, and yet the beginning came off as children's entertainment, it was so silly. I saw a high school production of Beauty and the Beast a few years ago, and frankly, it was much better.
