Trisha Yearwood

After a 5+ year touring hiatus, Trisha Yearwood (and her song writer friend Karyn Rochelle) came to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury and didn't disappoint her fans. Singing a medley of her songs, with some Linda Ronstadt tunes thrown in for good measure, Trisha's mini tour of gigs took her through the NJ/NY and CT area and was awesome. Taking Trisha a bit off guard, the Westbury audience was particularly 'interactive' calling out song suggestions - some songs, it seemed, the band (and Trisha herself) had not rehearsed or sang in a long time. During the beginning of "Real Live Woman", Trisha even brought an audience member onto the stage to help her with the words - and 'Amy' sang the song as a duet with Trisha! Amy was amazing and the magic of the moment was certainly appreciated by all in attendance. After the concert, I was within a group of about 15 fans that waited outside her tour bus hoping for a moment with Trisha - but it seemed the call of the road beckoned and she was off to her next show at a casino in CT. THANK YOU for stopping on LI and giving us a real gem of a show, Trisha. Don't be a stranger-come back sooner next time, ya hear!

What a GREAT concert and venue! This was my first event at Mystic Lake, and I will definitely be going back. Trisha was beyond amazing and her personable interaction with the audience made the concert even better!

I loved this concert. Trisha was so entertaining. I usually hate it when a performer wants to talk instead of sing but she was so funny. I enjoyed her when she wasn't singing and even more when she was. One thing I don't understand is why at first pictures were not allowed until someone asked to take Trisha's picture and of course she said yes. But after that there was no stopping the picture taking. So I was able to get some wonderful memorable pics of her.

From beginning to end, Trisha was entertaining. Her voice was flawless, as always, and she was funny and so charmingly personable. Don't miss her on tour if you can possibly avoid it!

She made you feel like she was there as a friend and was singing to you. She is funny between songs and is very down to earth while on stage. Here voice is AWESOME! she also played for an hour and a half. GREAT SHOW!!!

She put on a great show. I loved how she interfaced with the audience and make you feel like she is the kind of person you could just hang out with. When she did the Linda Rondstadt covers, it was like having Linda herself there. Trisha has such a great personality coupled with an awesome voice. Would love to go see her again!

I must say we enjoyed ourselves at the Rialto theatre on Friday I would recommend anyone that hasn't gone there to go check out a show whatever it may be there is not a bad seat in that house. I would go there again in a heartbeat before I head to the city.

She's the girl next door that would play baseball with the guys but you still had a crush on! Hot flashes and duct tape make her even more beautiful! What a great concert! When she mentioned Garth, a lady in the audience squeeled. Trisha looked at her and said thats OK' I'm sleeping with him! She sang all the great songs and talked with the audience like old friends. How can you live without her............ you can't!

The lady that came on before was excellent ! Loved her ! Trisha gave an outstanding show ! What a wonderful person. Such a "real" person. And what a voice. !!!

Very good concert. Trisha was great at all her high and low notes as always. She is also very funny. The Rialto is always a great place to see a concert never a bad seat.

The Rialto Square Theatre was the perfect setting for the evening. It was very intimate and we felt like we were sitting in her living room and she just decided to sing a few songs. Trisha is very down to earth, and made everyone feel comfortable. She spoke to the crowd as if we were long lost friends and she was real!!

Her voice is flawless. I could listen to her for hours. She sang for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

The show was great! She sang for over 1 hour 45 minutes straight. Her renditions of Linda Ronstadt were excellent ! Having front row seats made things even better.

We really enjoyed our first Trisha Yearwood concert. What a beautiful and powerful country voice. She put on a terrific show. She commanded the stage and had a great relationship with her fans who attended.

Wonderful intimate setting...not a crazy show. She is such a warm and talented performer. She doesn't need the flashy "showy " props in her show. It was heartfelt and warm and funny. What a performer..thanks Trisha

Trisha Yearwood's concert felt like a night with a wonderful, kind, fun friend. She sang all types of music and everyone would enjoy it, not just traditional country fans. The musicians on stage sounded great! The entire group worked so hard to make it a great audience experience that you would want to haul them back to your home for drinks.

Trisha was wonderful! Her voice sounded better than ever, and the conversations between her and the audience was intimate and friendly. She definitely nailed the first night of her tour in So Fla-best of luck to her on tour! We love Trisha!!

Wonderful evening. Enjoyed the intimate feeling of the concert. Trisha was such a warm & friendly star. Made you feel as if she knew everyone in the audience.

When 6000 people pay to see you as a performer you should be on time! Trisha showed up 15 mins late, I was very disappointed! If I show up late for work I get fired!

Definitely would go back to see her, she is a great Country singer.

We loved the Trisha Yearwood concert. The venue at Caesars Windsor was fantastic and very comfortable--with great acostics. Trisha Yearwood is a great artist and sang wonderfully. She covered a very wide range of songs--including some that were originally recorded by others--and sounded as good if not better than the originals. She was a great host as well and seemed to enjoy enganging with the audience. I would love to see her again soon!!!

She can sing anything and sound great. She was very warm and personal with the audience.

I am over seventy and have seen many many concerts but never enjoyed a female singers as much as I did tricia's. She has one of the best voices.

My mom and I went to Trisha Yearwood this past Friday, April 11, 2014. She was so personable and sounded just like she did 20 years ago. I had an absolutely great time and would recommend this concert to anyone who loves Trisha Yearwood. The tickets were bought as a last minute idea and I'm glad I did it.

What a wonderful performance from a real genuine person and a great band. Her voice is outstanding, and enjoyed her stories along with her inner action with the audience. No pretense or trying to hide behind flash and hype. Just great singing from the heart.

I have loved listening to Trisha Yearwood for years, but had never seen her live. Her voice is as crisp and lovely as ever. I never knew she was so personable and funny. I took my husband for his birthday, and he said she made his birthday. She is very down to earth and made you feel like a part of the show. Loved hearing about her life experiences and her love for her family, husband , and music. I have never heard anyone sing Linda Ronstadt songs like she did. Incredible preformance without lights and smoke. Just her and the band.

The concert was amazing! The small venue made every seat a great one. Sound was perfect and light effects were not over done. Excellent way to spend a Saturday night. Hope she comes back soon.

She put on a awesome show. That was the first time my wife had ever been to a concert. She had a blast. Again it was awesome.

When I heard Trisha was doing a "just because" tour, I immediately got online to purchase tickets. She is even better live!! I flew from California to Louisiana to attend the concert and she did not disappoint. She sang some of her "classics," some of her not-so-well-known songs, and a few amazing covers. I think she had as much fun as we in the audience did. Trisha is a great performer... and she's hilarious!! If you ever get a chance to see her... do it!! She always gives an outstanding performance.

Trisha's performance was so delightful, so awesome. I mean she is one of the most talented singers around. We have enjoyed her for years and this was a dream come true, no disappointments whatsoever. She was also very entertaining in between songs. The two songs by Linda Ronstadt and one by Gladys Knight were also amazing!

We really enjoyed the show. She shared some very interesting stories about her family and the stories behind the songs she sang. Just enough talking. It was a very pleasant evening.

Enjoyed the songs they did and stories that went with most of them. It was a bit short at less than two hours, but they didn't take any breaks and she did explain that the tour and events were all about what she wanted to do. There were two video screens but the video quality was poor and the camera operator was pretty bad; really jerky movements and couldn't seem to keep her in the frame for any length of time.

Trisha was amazing! She sang all of her hits, a few covers of Linda Rondstadt's songs, and Gladys Knight and the Pips' Midnight Train to Georgia which she did so well - loved that! She was very personable, funny. She talked/told funny stories between songs, which I thought was very entertaining, too. Closing number Over the Rainbow - chill bumps!! Trisha is THE best singer, and I am so glad I got to see her in concert at this venue!

So glad we got to see Tricia in a smaller venue-it allowed her to interact more freely with the audience...which she did often and engagingly. Her voice is better than ever to me, and I have been a fan since she was singing back up vocals. Was thrilled she sang Over the Rainbow- Tricia shouldn't limit herself to just country music. She has one of the great voices of our time

WOW WHAT CAN I SAY IT WAS LIKE SHE WAS SINGING TO US IN HER LIVING ROOM AND GARTH WAS IN THE BACK DOING LAUNDRY SHE ALSO SANG FOR 2 HOURS IF SOME ONE YELL OUT A SONG SHE WOULD SING IT SHE TOLD STORYS ABOUT THE SONGS BEFORE SHE SANG THEM GREAT SHOW A MUST SEE !!

I've seen Trisha several times and I think this concert was the best! Her voice was strong and clear, she spoke of family and friends, told stories behind many of the songs and actually took (happily) requests from the audience. She is so personable, especially in this intimate venue. Treat yourself and go to this show!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooooo glad I made the effort to see Trisha in person! She's very good on her recordings, but WAY better in person! Only regret is I didn't have better seats! I was on the floor but in the very last row. Jumbo screens helped a lot, and her voice certainly carried to the back of the building. Loved her "dancing" and the way she made it personal, with her chatter. I will recommend her live show to everyone. P.S. She NEEDS to release a Linda Ronstadt tribute album!!

My husband and I both enjoyed her show. My husband wondered how many songs she sang. He is a counter and I told him I was surprised he didn't count the songs. She did the right amount of dialog and was quite amusing.

My daughter and I love Trisha! I loved when she sang Linda Ronstadt songs also! We had seen Trisha before in St. Louis at The FOX Theater and she signed autographs for us. We brought the autographed picture and hoped she would sign it again for us, but we were not able to talk to her. She is very sweet and the best voice ever. I would have loved to talk to her again. WE WEREN'T ABLE TO TAKE VIDEOS AND FROM OUR ANGLE PHOTOS WERE IMPOSSIBLE! I HAD HOPED WE COULD GET UP TO TAKE PHOTOS.

Ms Yearwoods concert was an entertaining event bringing back a lot of good memories listening to her music. The band and her vocals were amazing and would travel the 5 hours to hear her again.

The concert venue made the concert personable with Trisha Yearwood. A nice, small grouping instead of an overpowering herd of people. Trisha was fantastic, personable, accommodating, and entertaining. She has a beautiful voice that I would pay a million $ if one of my grandchildren could sing like that. Very enjoyable evening. Choctaw Casino was great and hospitable. Everything went smoothly.

We had a great time. It was easy to get in and out and the show was more than we expected. The length was just right and the song choices were right on.

Trisha sounded amazing, was very funny, and put on an unforgettable show! :)

This was a great concert, Trisha did an awsome job.

The small venue worked out great. Trisha did about 25% talking and 75% singing. This made it seem like a very personal event. She gave a lot of insight to several of the songs she sang. There was no warm up band, just all Trisha for over 1.5 hours. It could have gone on twice as long and it would have felt too short.

This was the first Trisha Yearwood concert I had attended (though I've been a fan for many years) and I was blown away. She mentioned it had been five years since she had last toured and she was better than ever. She has not aged and her voice is stronger than ever! Songs in the two hour set, in no certain order, included: How Do I Live, Walkaway Joe, She's in Love WIth the Boy, The Song Remembers When, An American Girl, Like We Never Had a Broken Heart, Little Hercules, and Over The Rainbow (encore). If the power had gone out after the third song The Song Remembers When, I would have been satisfied. She also performed three Linda Ronstadt songs, including Blue Bayou, When Will I Be Loved, and You're No Good. Singing LR songs is not for the faint of heart but she nailed them. If you get the chance to see her, dont miss it!

Trisha Yearwood was at her best. Very personable. Concert seemed too short, but it was 2 hours. Small, wonderful venue.

My husband and I enjoyed her songs so much and she charmed everyone in the audience with her down to earth audience interaction. We especially enjoyed her response when asked if Garth was gambling in the casino. She said, "He better be home doing the laundry!" Great performance.

Loved the seating except it was tight. Venue was nice and casual. Trisha didn't sing a lot of her hits like I was hoping.

I thought the seats at the Choctaw Event Center would be uncomfortable, but they were fine. This was the first time we were there, but everything went smoothly. Trisha Yearwood sang and talked for about an hour and a half or more. She was quite down to earth and straightforward. She said when she did the last song that was it and they would be leaving which I loved because then you don't have to stand and wait for the entertainer to come back for an encore several times. You really know the show is over. My husband and I both enjoyed her singing and her humor.

Nice small venue with great sound. Loved her music - she's got a great set of pipes. Played for an hour and 45 minutes and did as many hits as she could fit in. She's a very funny lady and that added to the feeling that you actually could know her - that she is a normal person who can really sing.

Trisha still has one of the great voices of any musical genre. Great listening to familiar favorites and new variations of songs from other artists that she did.

Trisha Yearwood wasn't promoting anything. She's touring "just because". It was a great show! She was funny and happy to be there. She shared stories and played many of her old hits, joked about hot flashes and her "Beyoncé fan" (just in case she needed a cool breeze), paid tribute to her idol, Linda Ronstadt, with 3 terrific covers, and sang a beautifully heartfelt version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". You should get out to see her if you can!

THis was the best concert ever. Her voice was so amazing. It was very personalble and intimate.

Trisha announced at the beginning of this concert that this was for her.She had no new cd to promote.She was between tapings of her cooking show.She felt it was time to go out and sing..I understand she is country and casual,but she kept pulling up her pants,apologize for her voice because she was up most of the night talking.She would start a song,stop and then start another.At one point I wondered if she was drunk..People were walking out in the middle of her show...I love her voice and her music.I also love Linda Ronstate but I was there to hear her music.She ended the show with a song Somewhere over the rainbow..I took my daughter to this show for her birthday.We were very disappointed.

This concert was the best that I have been to and I have seen many artists in concert. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was just a relaxing good time. I definitely would see Trisha again in a minute if she came here again. Have been a fan since the beginning and this is the first time to see her in concert. Would definitely recommend to anyone who goes to concerts. This was the best.

Best show I've been too. Still sounds great and personality on stage was wonderful. Would go to see her again. Show was just about her and her music none of that special effects, flashing lights etc, just her great voice and persoality.

WHAT A WONDERFUL CONCERT WITH TRISHA YEARWOOD. NOT ONLY DID HER SONGS BRING BACK MEMORIES, SHE HAS A GREAT RAPPORT WITH THE AUDIENCE, TERRIFIC SENSE OF HUMOR. I WOULD DEFINITELY SEE TRISHA AGAIN.
