It was an amazing concert. They played almost every single song off of "I Am Mountain" amd some oldies too. We were lucky to see them in such a small intimate venue. The opening artist was spectacular as well. Every time I've seen them they have blown me away and once again they did just that. Can wait for the next tour/show!

Amongst the mass of cords, guitars. drums and classical instruments (and who knows what else) mangling the dim lit stage arose the precision and prose of the Gungors. Each set was tailored to arouse the deepest emotions, provoking the gammet of tears from exhilaration and jubilation to embarrasmnent and longing. Beyond the field of emotional buzz entered the very spirit of the music, as if from another dimension it entered, the familiar conviction and presence of that which is eternal. This work in progress will be marked as one of the most important gifts to mankind in the new millennium thus far. Gungor is growing up in a fertile substrate of talent that is beyond human effort. You must get on board.

Gungor is one of the most musically diverse bands I've seen, and they didn't disappoint at this concert. There wasn't much to dance to, but if you appreciate their incredibly musical talent, the live show is definitely a treat. Not having seating was definitely a downside, considering Gungor was sometimes more of a "sit down and muse" than a "get up and dance" act. The opening act (Kye Kye) was a great surprise too. The lead singer was charming, their music was great, there was a lot to dance to, and they were a genuinely fun band.

It's always impressive when a band can sound as good live as the album. In this case the experience far exceeded the album recording! Incredible!

Simply Amazing, and incredible performance by some of the most talented musicians I've seen, Ever. But whats more, it was unfettered worship through and through, the lyrics say it, but the performance emanated pure worship of the creator God. A phenomenal evening of being blasted back into our seats as God revealed himself through mesmerizing music. I would recommend this to anyone on the planet.

Amazing concert! Prior to attending, I wasn't overly familiar with Gungor's music outside of "Beautiful Things" and "The Earth is Yours." I love those songs, but expected most of the concert to be songs with a similar sound. Well, I'll never try to put them in a box again! Every song had a different feel, from bluegrass to blues to rock to light, airy and modern. There were several jam sessions where you could just see the musicians on stage having a blast. They had cellos, a violin, a phenomenal keyboardist, drums, a banjo and several other instruments that all blended together for a great sound on every song. The energy was joyful, fun and playful-the band was clearly having a blast and that energy flowed to the audience. Lisa Gungor was fun to watch, bouncing around and grooving to each musician's sound. Michael Gungor was, frankly, perfection. The man can rock and when we left, the first thing my date said was "he's either classically trained or he's just a musical genius." I did not expect him to play the guitar the way he did but he really jammed it up. His voice sounded great and I really just cannot say enough about this concert. They played for a solid 2 hours and it was a blast the entire time. Totally unexpected, fantastic music and a great, great time. If you get the chance to see them, GO!

The word on Gungor is to see them live ... they definitely lived up to the word. Fantastic musicianship, unbelievable sync between musicians, incredibly creative songs, well-thought-out show, and a great venue. The addition of vocal poet Amena Brown was a stroke a genius ... her passion added so much value to the show. As for Michael Gungor, he is simply a phenomenal musician who is equally comfortable playing delicate fingerstyle on a nylon-string or searing blues on a Strat. What a talent. But I must add -- the sound man did him no favors. The instrumental portion of the mix was good, but the vocals were almost non-existent for most of the show. Michael Gungor's lyrics are so profound -- every bit the equal of his musicianship, and the key to his music -- and to render them inaudible is an absolute crime. What a shame because the performance was absolutely stunning. Bottom line: No matter whether you're into Christian music, go see this band. You won't be disappointed. And if prayer is part of your life, pray for a good sound man.

I was not very familiar with Gungor before I attended their concert. I live close to Hollywood most of the year, so I go to a lot of shows- I expected this to be just another pleasant show at a small venue. However, this concert was an experience unlike any concert I have ever attended. The variety and number of instruments that the band uses makes for a wonderfully full and rich live sound. The presence of Amena Brown added much depth to the performance as well. Everyone on stage was enjoying themselves greatly, everyone in the audience was enjoying themselves greatly, and the atmosphere was amazing. It is so refreshing to see such a talented group of musicians making such beautiful music to praise God! I'm becoming a huge fan, and I hope to see them again next time they are in the area!

Phenomenal music. Phenomenal arrangements. This is the future of church music, and it's encouraging to see more thought go into the writing and composing of music for the Church. Fantastic show with incredibly talented musicians.

I can't get over how incredible Gungor is. They have combined so many different styles that shouldn't work together, but it all does. Some of the most beautiful music I've heard in a long time, but they still manage to have a funky, rock groove in there as well. AMAZING!

If you ever get the opportunity to go see this group, do it! With the debut of their newest album Ghost Upon the Earth, it is absolutely amazing to see and hear the symphonic blend come together before you. This group loves their music and have true talent given by and for God. I can't stop playing the recordings I took of them on my phone.

Gungor provides more than just a concert. They are able to present a creative atmosphere that draws you into the music which in turn leads you outside of yourself and into worship of the Eternal One. It's phenomenal. I've seen them live twice now and hope to see them many more times!

This was possibly the best show I've ever attended. Gungor has such a rich, incredible sound live. We could have spent the entire evening just listening! After we got to spend a few minutes meeting both Michael and Lisa who were most gracious and kind in that they not only let us take several pictures, they actually spent a few minutes just hanging out and chatting with everyone. Amazing music, amazing people, amazing message!

The Gungor show was amazing. Loved all of the strings and instrumentation and the vocals were pitch-perfect. The poetry reading integrated with the music was high impact. The video integration was also good. It was how a live show is meant to be. When the guy did the cello solo while also doing beat-box on the microphone ... now that was unique and incredible. Highly recommend you go.

From listening to Gungor's previous albums, I was expecting just a few acoustic guitars. Not at all! Awsome effects and lighting, and a HUGE variety of songs that covered a very wide span of genres. Lots of electronic sounds, mixed with classical type acoustic guitar. Artists switched instruments often and we're rarely in the same spot on the stage as the previous songs, thus showing off their high level of talent.

Gungor was amazing. Great and very talented musicians! I enjyed the comcert very much! While it wasn't a huge, giant flashy concert with lots of lights and effects (like you may see at Muse of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) it was still very good and entertaining and definitely worth the money! Also, I was really surprised on how good the opening musician was. KC Rhoads was pretty awesome as well as Gungor! Over all very good concert.

Gungor no doubt has shifted direction from their previous albums. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I wouldn't put it up there to being the best option either. Gungor has a great time turning their tracks and evolving them live to a almost so much as a jam session. The first 4 songs they played were seamlessly played through. A lot of energy. Great opening. I was ready for them to transition to a mix of their new and old songs, however it turned to lull and primarily a play through of their new album during the middle the of the act. My friends and I just kinda stood there. Compared to the previous shows energy bounced back and forth between Michael and the crowd. A lot more interaction toward the audience. This time it felt much more introspective, which again is something that the new album has made a stance. At times it felt as though Gungor was forcing the act and not genuine. Towards the end of the show they played some of the past favorites which got the crowd going again. Finally, for the encore Michael played 'Beautiful Things' alone that left me wanting more. I asked myself is it done? In conclusion, different feel to that of his previous albums and concerts. Still innovating their musical direction. I miss the glockenspiel and cello.

I've been a very big fan of Gungor since I first heard them in 2011. I went to a concert of theirs last year and, though I really love their music, I didn't enjoy it all that much. Further, it took me a while to really enjoy 'I Am Mountain' as an album. Despite all this, I was incredibly stoked to go to this concert and it did not at all disappoint me. I was amazed and very pleased, and it made me want to go home and listen to the album all over again. In one word: Incredible.

I went with some friends, not really knowing who the band was, but I was not disappointed. The opening act was great, Chris something, and he had traveled from NYC to DC for this concert. He did an excellent job! I also like Gungor too! They played and sang well, and its great that a husband and wife and work and job what they're doing together.

The heart of 'Gungor'... namely, LIsa and Michael Gungor as the creative spark of endgy, messy, explorational music have launched into a new live presentation of their latest work, "I Am Mountain". Last live outing, Gungor was a collective of 14 people playing every instrument known to man (well just about!) and presenting a catalouge of modern alt-folk, alt-rock, classically-edged music. This outing reminds me of what U2 did between Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby; they 'chopped the Tree down' carving out a whole new sound. Gungor is now a 4-some exploring alternative ambiant, keyboard/guitar interplay that channels major edgy artists like Bjork, Fiest, Counting Crows, Sigur Ros, Radiohead... all with a distinctive Gungor approach and unique sound, with an EXCELLENT live execution... brilliantly played, wonderfully punctuated by digi-lights and visual overlays, and expertly delivered. This may be the must-see live tour of 2013.

Gungor holds now the #1 AND the #2 spot in best shows I've ever been to. Their music is intelligent, passionate, skillful, and does a fantastic job and bringing out emotion. As a professional lighting designer, I can't even count the number of concerts I've been to, so when I say they hold the top spots, that's not to be taken lightly.

Pros: The atmosphere was great with standing room only in an oldish theatre. Everyone was friendly and you got to know others while waiting for the show. Gungor does a lot of free style with their music so with the venue it felt more like a living room jam session than just listening to a cd. Cons: The neighborhood was kind of sketchy. I would suggest parking close to the venue. Also the time on the tickets was set an hour before the warm-up act. This is something to keep in mind if you are going to be standing all evening.

Amazing, gifted musicians and artists. Highly recommend seeing them live and can't wait to see them again. The sound balance wasn't the best but I think it's because we were on the balcony almost parallel to the stage so the speakers weren't aimed at us. But regardless, great show, clean venue.

Gungor showed their true colors at the concert. They made it as little about them as possible, directing all the glory to God. They didn't give messages or sermons but just did what they do best - led a time of worship. Through the expertise of the musicians and connectivity to Jesus, the music was perfectly in sync and executed even better than on the recorded versions. It was a powerful night that lasted the perfect amount of time too - not too short to be disappointing and not too long to feel dragged out; enough to make me want more but feel satisfied. One of the best concerts I've been to, and a great venue as well.

Artistic talent (song composition, musical ability) was off the charts! But the presentation of the incredible talent was woefully painful. The blinding floodlights directly in the audience, made it impossible to see the performance. Having to shield my eyes, my ears were then assaulted by the overpowering volume. The instrumentation drowned the lyrics. The purpose of the concert was defeated.
