Ghostface Killah

Ghostface Killah

Ghostface Killah has been burning up the mic with his clever storytelling skills and rapid-fire rhymes since his early days in the legendary hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan. Killah’s intelligent and diverse flows paint vivid portraits of the harsh realities of street life, and his evocative rhymes have made him one of hip-hop’s most acclaimed wordsmiths. In concert he spits his raps with razor-sharp precision while his DJ flips through familiar tracks like “Back Like That”, “Apollo Kids”, and “Cherchez La Ghost” at a breakneck pace. Ticket buyers can try to rap along, but they’ll soon learn that only the acrobatic tongue of Ghostface Killah .

I think this was one of the best shows I have ever been to!! I was able to get very close to the stage and the crowd was exciting, but not dangerous!! The music was very loud, but concerts usually are!! I would recommend getting to this venue early if you want a particular place to watch the show!! Overall great location and event!!

I bought these tickets as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and I think I enjoyed the show more than he did! Since I'm from CA, I don't know his music that well but I do now. That was the most amazing show I've ever seen! I can't wait to go buy all his albums!!!!

Ghostface, Skyzoo and the others basically burried everybody else who says they are hip hop for that moment they were on stage. Crazy energy

ASTOUNDING performance. The local talent was represented with Metrognome rocking the turntables accompanied by a couple of young lyricists. Another Indiana mastermind on the tables (Jeff I hope?) set the pace for the evening slicing in an impressive and obscure variety that would strike any real hip hop fans' fancy. All in all, a sweaty good dancing time with mad lyrics of plenty. Worth every penny B-) \\m/(>.<)\\m/

I call Ghostface Killah a legend because he has been around long enough to be known as just that and he is a master at what he does. Please have him comeback next year. I was very happy to be up close and personal with him because i have followed his music for over 16 years now and still do. He is my favorite out of the Wu Tang Clan and i let him know that and he was appreciative of it. Thanks for letting me reminisce all the songs from his albums and of other members of the Wu family. Colorado loves you man! ONE!

After 15+ years in the game Ghost is as comfortable and confident as possible on the stage. His interaction with the crowd, especially in this intimate setting is what takes his show to the next level. he runs through a crazy deep collection of hits from not just Wu and his solo albums, but also guest spots and ODB material. It's nice to see an artist really enjoying the vibe of a super hype crowd and not just phoning it in. Tony Starks is definately worth the price of admission

This was probably the worst concert I've been to because of the poor sound quality. U coundnt hear any words or music beats. All u could hear was the bass thumping. I'll never go back to this venue because it ruined the performers music for me. Everything was just distorted

I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm a fan of Wu and GFK, Not much of Ghost on stage, more of the band. He didn't perform long at all and overall I thought it was weird.. Like it was odd. Even though I say that, I had a good time because I'm a fan in general.

After making the crowd wait through two and a half hours of openers for what was posted as a 8:30 PM show, Ghost gave the crowd a decent performance. I personally would have preferred more of his old material, but I understand why he'd push the new album. Adrian Younge was surprisingly good. That being said, I wouldn't pay to see him perform again.

Ghostface Killah simply KILLED IT on Thursday night at the Bluebird! He reached the stage a little before 12:30 and the show opened with a nice intro from his new album 12 reasons to die. Adrien Younge laid out the story, taking place in 1967 involving Ghostface Killah and the notorious Deluca Crime Family. Adrien was the narrator/host for the show in addition to being the band leader (played organ and bass guitar along with other sound effects). The Band called "Venice Dawn" (consisting of 2 Guitars, Bass, Drums, Organ, Female vocalist and male vocalist) was warmed up and ready after playing an opening set with Adrien Younge. Ghost then was introduced and went through several songs and skits from 12 reasons to die like "I Declare War", "Revenge is Sweet", "12 Reasons to Die" along with some others and songs from various other albums. Ghost was joined onstage throughout the night by Wu-Tang affiliate Killah Priest. Ghostface and Killah Priest ran though various stages of his career as well as his new material, performing favorites from Enter the 36 Chambers- "Tearz", "Protect Ya Neck"(Ghost did Method Man's Verse and a random fan was pulled from crowd to perform ODBs verse); Ironman- "Fish"; Only Built For Cubin Linx- "Ice Cream", Liquid Swords- "4th Chamber" (With Killah Priest), Pretty Toney Album- "Holla", "Run", and a few other songs as well. In addition Adrien Younge and the crowd performed a verse from ODB's Shimmy Shimmy Ya. Ghostface performed for about 45 mins and then, after a skit where he received a telegram about a meeting he had to attend with the Deluca's at a warehouse, he left the stage for about 10 mins. The band continued to play and Adrien further narrated explaining that Ghostface had been murdered by the Deluca's. Adrien then called upon the crowd to help bring back Ghost and help him to be reborn by chanting as he instructed. Next about 5 young ladies with red hoods and dresses and messed up horror movie type makeup came out with candles and chanted walking onstage and up to the mic. Then Ghost returned from the dead and appeared on stage! He sat on a stool between the hooded girls and read a story from a large book rapping lines from a song. (One of the girls lit the book with a candle to help Ghost read the passages). Then he did a couple more songs before finishing with "Ironman's Theme" and "Mighty Healthy" from the Supreme Clientel album. All in all it was AMAZING! He performed a little over an hour, which I wished was longer but I was only 10 feet from Ghost for most of the show and had a great view standing on a bench right near the stage. The live band with Ghost was awesome and more interesting than using turntables. I love Ghostface old school style with just 2 turntable and a mic but this was really cool to see. Not many people have got to see Ghostface Killah quite like this and I'm glad I'm one! I more than got my money worth for this amazing set! Tickets were only $20 for this show! WOW! Best $20 I ever spent!

True to the game, truth to his name, Ghostface Killah killed the mic at the Sound Academy! It took a long 15 years in the making but it was all worth it. Not only is he an awesome MC, his presence on stage and the way he worked the crowd was incredible. I hope he can come again!

This was the sickest show. I've been a Wu Tang fan since 92 and seen the clan about 10 times. This was the first time I had a chance to see Ghostface without the rest of his crew. I'm from LA so I knew the Roxy was a small place. I got so see Ghostface and Cappadonna and shake their hands. I was with my 18 year old daughter, It was our first concert and one of the best nights of my life. WU 4 Life.

This was One of the wackest shows that I have been to. I think that Ghost is talented, but I felt ripped off after he had Sheek Louch up there like it was his show, then Ghost was on less than 45 minutes doing single verses off of a couple of his songs then the roxy cut on the lights @ 155am ... pretty wack ..... & I considered Ghost one of my favorites...

I really liked watching Ghost Face at Brick by Brick...it was a very intimate setting, very up close and personal. I had my hand on the stage the whole time. Ghost Face was live with it! Raekwon was chillin smoking a blunt behind us and ended up getting on stage too. Cappa Donna was there and jumped into the audience. The energy was incredible! And everyone had a great time!! :)

Man, I know hip-hop shows usually run late and the artists don't get on stage when they are supposed to. But Ghostface, really comin' on after 1am when you're supposed to at midnight, and only playin' for less than an hour, REALLY, REALLY. Now I must say that Ghost sounded great, I just wanted more. The opening acts were not bad, but not the greatest either. All in all, I was there for Ghost and felt a lil let down. Peace, D

I think that the ghostface killah concert 3 days ago in roxy theatre was way too short. it was nice that there was many supporting groups performing before the actual ghostface killah, but when he came on stage just for like half our and he ended i was dissappointed. i couldnt listen to more than half of the songs that i would want to listen that night. well except this, the show was very cool and the other artists did good job too. i would give 3 stars for this concert.

We hurried into the Roxy at 11:12 pm.m since we had just called 45 minutes before and were told by the Roxy staff that Ghostface would be going on at 11:00. To our relief, he hadn't taken the stage yet. After a few minutes of standing around, the curtain went up and there was some hype-manish type guy on stage, asking if we were ready to see Ghostface tonight. We were. But then the hype man launched into a full set and, at the end of his set, told us to get ready for the next opening act. Ghostface finally ended up taking the the stage and killed \u2014 at 1:30 in the morning. The set was totally worth the money. Waiting for him to come on was, however, excruciating. At 2:00 a.m. the lights came on. I don't know why it ended up that way, and maybe it wasn't even the Roxy staff to blame, but I was sincerely annoyed beyond belief with getting told that the artist who I was coming to see would begin performing two and a half hours before he actually did begin. And I don't see what sort of events could have transpired between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. that would have set the show back two and a half hours. For that reason, I was sincerely disappointed with the Roxy staff.

Awesome show... too many opening acts, should of stuck to the main act for the tour and one more opener, it resulted in ghostface having to be shut down half hour early from his set. Other than that it was an awesome show. One thing I can recommend are the openers, make sure the pay to play acts are relevant to the performance at the least to keep us interested through out the show.

The show started off with Ghost rapping "Run". I love that song. I thought Ghost Face, Cappa Don and Raekwon was great. They have such great chemistry on stage. They kept the crowd going with hits after hits. I LOVE IT! Their performance was a couple hours; but I was very happy. They basically did the whole Cuban Link Disc. That was classic!!!!!!!!! Also, they bought out Brand Nubian; I was screaming so loud. Truly this show was Hip-Hop finesse. Classic and GREAT Pioneers!

Ghostface was ready to give a great show but the troc's sound system was horrible. which had him and the crowd upset so the show went downhill after the sound problem wasn't fixed. ad the opening acts had better sound than the main act. i left kinda disappointed.

They were having technical difficulties all night. The entire crowd would stand around for 30 minutes at a time in between acts while they blared some songs from the radio. The opening acts were weak. The second half of the concert, Ghostface just stood there while his posse rapped his songs. The bass was too high, the music too low. Too much yelling in the mic. Would not recommend. I'm a huge Ghostface fan, but woulnd't go back to a concert of his or back to this venue.

Well, I would love to say that it was great seeing Ghostface but it appears he was a phantom because when I left at MIDNIGHT he still hadn't come on. The show was supposed to start at 8 but the first opening act didn't even go on until after ten! We had gotten there at 7:45 and it was standing room only. My boyfriend had to wake up at 5 the next morning for work so when GFK wasn't on by 12 am, we left. Completely unsatisfied and dissapointed. I will never again go to the Paradise to see a show.

The concert was sick man!!!! The only complaint I have of the whole night is that the DJ who played before set was pretty long. But once Sheek came out, the whole crowd started yelling DBBBBBLLLLLOOOOOCCCCCKKKKK! And it was on from there. Ghost killed it. Ending it with the song latest hit was the best move.

Great show. Opening act was commendable (although the audience wasn't as amped about them--but hip hop fans are tough). When Ghost came out though, it was on. He is a great entertainer, and his hype men are good too. All in all, a great show. Can't wait to see him again!!
