Millie Jackson delivered the most thoroughly entertaining show I have seen in years. She is a real singer, actress, comedienne, and yes, "rapper," who completely owns her stage. Her trademark growl and vocal delivery are still in tact at 68, sending shivers down the spines of grown men and some women...lol! After 30+ albums, there is no way she can sing all of the fan favorites, but she seamlessly wove the essentials into some of her personal faves, along with liberal dashes of her politically incorrect social commentary. After spending 90 minutes front and center with Millie Jackson, I am going to have to mind my mouth and manners for the next few days. She and that grin of hers are infectious! Most people do not have that much uncensored fun and get paid for it. (By the way, Al Johnson of the Unifics was no slouch as a opening act. He was in great form vocally. Would love to hear him sing "I'm Back For More" with Jean Carne again...at the Howard Theater!)

I didn't realize there were two groups of Dramatics headed up by different leads until I got my tickets; but I can honestly say, I was not disappointed. The Dramatics featuring Willie Ford were wonderful! Those men sang their faces off! They sailed through all the high notes and special parts of songs that we've come to know and love without a hitch So it doesn't matter which group you see, you will definitely get your money's worth. BTW the stars rating is for the venue not the performance.

Been to much better shows even at the Show Place Arena but guess you get what you pay for. Clarence Carter was the only enjoyable part of the show. Millie Jackson's vocabulary turned me off. I came to listen to good soul music not some bar room trash talk. My partner was just as disappointed, falling asleep during the show! The only entertainment most of us saw was a drunk acting a fool in the stands. So very disappointed! Wasn't going to mention this but received a survey and felt I'd want someone to warn me. Be careful and check out who is on the agenda.

The artists did a great job performing. However the sound system was awful. Couldn't hear really well. The staff was constantly adjusting sound.

The concert was not what I expected. The artist did not have the audience fully engaged into their performance.

We attended this event in celebration of our friends Birthday. It was an evening of fun, laughter and entertainment! Latimore stole the show! Other artist including Millie featured re-mix of their BEST HITS and if was hard to recognize them, that was disappointing. Nevertheless, we had a fabulous time!

The location of event at the Horseshoe was good. Seating was good, the viewing on the side walls is an excellent idea gives you a close up view of the entertainers. The entertainment line up was awesome.

Millie Jackson was great! I enjoyed her new tunes & sound. Willie Clayton can sure charm the ladies. Clarence Carter still has soul in him. Peggy Scott Adams, I loved hearing her sweet sounding voice.

Was not worth the money. Only Willie and Clarence sang anything notable, Peggy sang nothing memorable and Millie talked to much.

Great show, great line-up. Wish Clarence Carter had been on stage longer. You could tell that Willie Clayton really enjoys entertaining. Only caught the end of Peggy Scott Adams but, enjoyed her. Millie Jackson (still) has such a great, strong voice. Enjoyable evening.

Millie completely surpassed any doubts I had about her live performances! Millie's voice, sense of humour, and energy are all still there! I kept my gaze on the stage as she sang her songs. Most of them included her legendary raps! She had the audience in a state of laughter with them. When she slowed it down with some of the ballads such as "I , I was moved! I was so glad she included the songs "Keep The Home Fires Buring", "Put Something Down On It", "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Put Something Down It" (Reprise)" nearly exactly as she did on the "Live and Uncensored" album! I would most certainly without a doubt go to see her and her excellent band live again!

I came from France to see Millie in New York. to me Millie is the best entertainer ever. Her shows are a mix of song and comedy where she knows how to make laugh the audience. People are always happy after a Millie Jackson show. From soul to rock she is a real diva on stage. In New York, in the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill, she was absolutly great. With a dynamic energy, she sung some of her best titles. Her 8 musicians are incredible too.

I was so pleased to see Ms. Millie Jackson. She is a wonderful entertainer. Nowadays there are very few people who can really sing. She is an old school great. If you go to see her, she will show you how it's done!

8th annual Atlanta Blues Show 3/3/12 was unforgettable ,everyone was very good, but Ms Millie Jackson was a cold blooded DIVA , keep doing what you Ms Jackson. And I must say you are still looking good! I had to ask my husband why he kept peeking under your dress!! LOL

Millie Jackson was off the hook but she didn't have time to sing a lot. Bobby Bland ran through as many songs as he could with the short time he had and was fabulous. Otis Clay was good for the time he had. However, all that other frontend mess they had, that had nothing to do with the Blues, was a waste of time and I can't say I'd want to go to another concert involving Otis Clay or the UIC Forum.

It was like amature night at the Regal. It STATED LATE. About 8:45 PM. His son's group sang RAP Song. Then some lady started out with GOSPEL Music at a BLUES Concert featuring Mille Jackson. Then another group came out who think they got the Holy Ghost. Finally Otis Clay came out, He was okay. It was his 50th Anniversary in show business. His Family came out, gave him a trophy and some one from Mayor Daley's office read a 2 Page Congraulation to him, THAT WAS VERY LONG. Bobby Bland was great but his mick wasn't very loud. He didn't sing until 10:30 over with at 11PM. Then some lady out of the ordinance sang At last, They had to take the mick from her. Then Millie came out , She was very upset , she talked about the Gospel show etc. We didn't get to hear much singing cause she fused so much. It was OVER About 11:45 PM. TOO Much MONEY FOR ALL THAT>

The show turned out to a variety/talent show for Otis Clay. We thought we were going to see Otis Clay, Bobby Blue Bland and Millie Jackson. Before either one of the three "stars" came on, we were forced to listen to a rap group, a singing cinderella from LA and a gospel group. Otis was honored and honored and honored. Bobby sang about six songs. Millie told a few jokes and song two songs. The show started at 7:00. We did not leave unitl 11:30. I wish I could get my money back. from the promoter.

This was one of the most overblown events that I've attended in a long time. I used to be a musician and I've played in marathon club type events like this. It seems everyone and their mother wants to get on stage and sing. The pairing of V103 DJ's Casper and the legendary Herb Kent as MC's was odd. Where a more polished MC could've filled the dead time more creatively. The V103 dj's were lost and searching for material. This show was to be a celebration of Otis Clay's 50 years in show business. But it started off with about 3 gospel acts??? Gospel acts on a blues show? And with Millie Jackson???? Who is well known for her ..."salty language". And she said it best during her short set. "These muthu pluckers must have forgot I was on the show?" Otis was one of the first headiners to come on. His set was nice but it decended into a talent show at the end when his grand sons took the stage. The great Bobby Bland was next. He is is frail and not looking healty at all. But there is no mistaking that great voice. He should've closed out the show. And then came Ms Millie. She only sang 3 songs, but did a comedy skit that would put many comedianes to shame. But after this 4 hours plus marathon...now I remember why I retired from the west side and south side club circuit!
