Sia

Australian singer, songwriter and performer Sia is as exciting onstage as she is innovative in the studio. In electrifying performances in concert, such as her recent appearance at Coachella, Sia is both a sought-after collaborator and a mesmerizing solo performer. Audiences describe her as "powerful and strong” but with “charisma and charm.” On tour, a ticket to a Sia show is a ticket into a private world of intimate moments, shared dreams, hope and joy seen through the lens of songs like “You’ve Changed” or “Clap Your Hands.

We paid $250 for VIP seats on left side of stage and could not see Sia because she was behind a speaker and a giant pole holding lights blocked most of the dancing. I want my money back.

This was a fantastic show, however, she moved so much toward the back of the stage that if you were sitting to her right, you didn't see her after 3 songs :( But overall the show was amazing. Maddie Ziegler and the other dancers were phenomenal.

So, I have a pleasure of seeing Sia five years ago in New Orleans at the house of blues. It was a tremendous performance, and also during a time. Where she was actually showing her face to her fans. As a huge see a fan, I do understand the reasoning behind the giant hair mask in her face on a regular basis. As a huge fan of music, I also understand the importance of visual artistry in every concert. However, I did not pay good money to question whether or not it was actually Sia performing. The video during her performance lead everyone to believe that it was a live action filming, however this was the first concert that I have actually seen where the performance in front of me was not what was shown on the screens. This means that what was in front of me ok a screen was a pre- recorded version of what I was actually seeing live. By the end of the concert at the viewers are left questioning whether or not it was actually see a performing the entire time, as she actually appears as a cameo make up artist in the concluding video. Quite frankly, the whole show was a load of crap. The music was on point, as it should be because it is a live concert and we paid good money for it to be conducted as such. Quite frankly though, I don't know who this Sia is and her fab base made it apparent that prior to these latest two albums, neither did they. What a disappointment.

Sia was her awesome self and I totally enjoyed the show....but, I blinked - and it was over. For nearly $200 per ticket, an hour and fifteen minutes hardly seemed worth it. While she had two opening acts, I was paying for Sia. Due to the fact that I had to work that day, getting to see the first act, Alunageorge was impossible. While Miguel sounded great and performed well, I really don't know this artist.

Sia is definitely the most interesting concert I've ever been to. The performers were fantastic. The only thing that would have made it better was if Sia would have been in the front corner instead of the back corner. I would've liked to see her sing a little more.

I've been looking forward to seeing her for a long time and i was so excited to finally see her live on tour. She's such a phenomenal talented artist who doesn't get enough recognition. She writes amazing songs and is responsible for a lot of hits that we hear on the radio performed by so many other musicians. With that being said she has a beautiful voice as well and it was just lovely watching her stand there with a microphone and just sing.

I've been to see her once before and I was blown away then. This time was equally as amazing. Not a traditional concert in concept, more like performance art. It was brilliantly executed and masterful. If you appareciate her and her music beyond just the commercial and global success she's rightfully basking in now, you'all immensely appareciate what she's put together for Nostalgic for the Present. AlunaGeorge was fantastic as well Haven't really been a big fan of Miguel'a but he has an amazing voice and range.

I didn't really ever think that I would see Sia in concert, because I just couldn't imagine that she could be that good because of the fact that she hides her face and just stands there, but my 17 year old daughter really loves her and so we decided to get tickets. Let me tell you, she is absolutely inspiring!! She has Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms among other wonderful dancers on tour with her and her show is truly performance art. Sia's voice is just incredible, she opened with "Alive" which was followed by "Diamonds". Absolute goosebumps!! Loved her so much!! Would definitely go see her if you ever get the chance!!

So I was excited to see Sia, as I knew her voice was incredible and she was undoubtedly creative, but never did I expect to LOVE the concert as much as I did. I go to a lot of concerts, but prior to Sia I have only cried during 2( when I was front row at U2, and at the Killers!). Her concert truly took my breath away and left me wishing it never had to end. Seeing her standing there with her famous bow and wig with unbelievably talented dancers making their way around the stage, while she sang with such power and majesty left me in tears. Not only was the live part of the show mesmerizing, but the filmed part projected on the screens was gorgeous and shot with such amazing quality and vision. This concert was unlike anything I have ever seen or been a part of and I truly feel blessed to have been a witness to such an outstanding show.

Sia sounded great as usual. However. All she did was stand and sing, she never moved. Which I guess I was expecting because she isn't even in her own music videos and when she performs on live TV that's all she does as well. So she stands and sings while a few people on stage dance or act out in mime, it was a little too avant guarde for my taste I guess. Honestly it was a pretty boring concert. But everyone seemed to love it . A lot people singing every word to every song. It was a really great atmosphere I felt as well. A lot of nice people at Sia concerts, no one got rowdy. There were no wow moments for me at all. But Sia did her thing, she sounded just like she did on the radio. But u can't see her face due to the wigs so on emotional songs I wanted to see the expression on her face, but no luck. But again, that's how she does all of her televised performances as well so it wasn't a surprise. I guess I was kinda waiting for the end and maybe she would take the wig off and talk to the people who came to the concert, but she never did. However, there was a video at the end of the concert that did show her face, so that was kind cool. I would recommend it, it was a good time.

Sia's voice was amazing and the dancers' performance was very entertaining, but what I can't understand is why she stood all the way in the corner where she was hidden by a stage column. I'm sure most of the people on the right side of the arena couldn't see her. If you look at the left side of my photo, all you can see is the top portion of her hair bow.

Sia's concert was something I will never forget! For an artist to just stand there and express herself through her dancers brought something new to concert world. After reading what seemed to be a mix of good and bad reviews between the opening acts and Sia's performance itself I've discovered that those people simply must not understand her style of art or suffer the misfortune of a closed mind. AlunaGeorge was the first to take the stage. I have never heard of her in my life and I didn't look up any of her songs beforehand but in my mind, I pictured her and a guitar playing a form of indie music. Boy, was I ever wrong. When her first song came on, I was in shock. The beats and bass had me wanting to stand up and dance. Although she had what is considered a "high pitched voice" she knew how to use it and she sounded great. I immediately became a fan. Next up was Miguel. He has a great voice and not all of his songs are bad yet I just cannot get past his arrogant personality. I'll never forget watching the Billboard Music Awards a couple years ago where he attempted to successfully jump from the stage to a platform located in the middle of the crowd. The idiot hit and landed on two girls so hard I remember jumping off the couch in utter shock. He was too worried about looking like the fool he already was that he didn't even bother checking to make sure that they were okay. Going back to his performance, what ticked me off was when he asked everyone to stand and then began chanting "F Donald Trump" I've gotta say, this review is coming from someone who already voted and I'm a lefty at that but I do not condone stupidity whether I'm on the same side or not. There were many, many children at this concert and it was completely uncalled for. I don't know how in the world he partnered with Sia's phenomenal tour. Anyway, moving on. After Miguel finally finished, Sia came on not too long afterwards and she absolutely took my breath away. No, she does not address the audience the way some do. She allows the dancers to tell the story while her beautiful voice fills the entire space. She is so unbelievably talented and I swear her voice got better and better with every song that she sang. I never wanted it to end but after the encore, she thanked us again and again and even laughed that adorable "Sia laugh" before the curtain fell while continuing to thank us. I have been a Sia fan for many years and I remember watching an interview awhile back saying that she was far too shy to ever tour. She's already giving us fans so much and who knows if she will continue touring in upcoming years. I'm so grateful I was able to see her spectacular performance that she put her heart and soul into. To her fans, you will not be disappointed.

Watching Sia was probably the most fun I've had watching someone perform in a while! First of all, her attitude on stage was amazing! You could tell she was having fun, and not doing "just another gig." And, with the artist having fun, so does the audience! Her stage banter may have just been the best I've ever seen, interacting with the public at all times (to the point, it seemed, her band or manager would tell her she was talking too much - which none of us seemed to mind - and should get to the next song). She talked about people she knew where in the audience; about her dress; or anything that came up. And she interacted with the audience like no one I've ever seen. Sia seemed to draw energy and creativity from the comments shouted by the audience, sometimes asking for them. She commented on every item an audience member gave her, making it so much more intimate than usual concerts, despite The Wiltern being fairly big. (Note: She does make very lewd and raunchy - but smart! - jokes. I don't mind at all, so it just made me laugh nonstop.) And, of course, her music's amazing, as good live as on the CD. She performed all favorite, more heavily centered on her latest album, obviously (which is a great album, no no problem here.) And, even on the one or two times she screwed up her own lyrics or key, she'd poke fun of herself, and still make it enjoyable for the audience. And both opening acts, who I knew virtually nothing about - Oh Lord and especially Ximena Sarinana - turned out to be good surprises. Each played for 30 minutes, enough to get to know them while waiting for Sia to come up.

i was more hype on my way to this concert than the actual concert event. i love her music so i was really looking forward to seeing her in concert, but it was kind of a let down. her opener was Miguel and i'm not really a fan of him so i timed it to where i would miss his set (well i was wrong) because my friends and i got there at 8:20ish and he was still performing! He went on till 8:45 and then we waited till 9:30 for Sia to come out. Her set was dull, but i didn't mind because it Sia! At first, I thought it was awesome/tech savvy that they were displaying the live performance on the two side screens and making it look like it was a music video but then I noticed there was a difference and came to find out that the screens were displaying pre-recorded performance =( And then to top that off she sped through her set list, didn't interact with the audience, didn't move from her spot, wasn't shown on the big screen, and only performed like 16 songs. I just felt like listening to her on itunes in my home would've given me the same experience. I know she doesn't like attention/fame/showing her face but still i expected more! =(

SIA WAS INCREDIBLE. She's amazing live -- even better than she is recorded. She was playful and goofy with the crowd throughout the show, interacting with people and even singing a few bars of a song she wrote on tour, classically titled "Pee On You." The setlist was fantastic as well, including the best hits of We Are Born as well as previous classics like "Soon We'll Be Found" and "Breathe Me." The warm-up acts (Ximena Sarinana and Oh Land) were fabulous as well. The set design for all three acts (especially Oh Land) was absolutely entrancing. The point of this review: GO SEE THIS SHOW. JUST DO IT.

I knew going in that Sia herself would "just be singing", but to say that's all there was would be severley inaccurate. For starters, her voice was AMAZING, even better than studio recordings. As far as the show was concerned, I found the dance routines profound, creative, and vastly entertaining. It was a special joy to actually see Maddie Z do her thing. Her talent for her age, is unmatched. I've seen where some people were upset about the pre-recorded screen, but for me that added an extra special touch, and I sure made the concert more enjoyable for people who may not have had the best seats.

The lines were the quickest I've ever been in for a concert. The meet and greet was really more of a photo op .I would be great if was somehow listed BEFORE buying tickets.Aluna George had a minimal setup that forced you to focus on them and it was kind of dark.It felt like more of a movie setting because of the lighting. Miguel's set was the exact opposite.Repeated use of blinding lights that would break the otherwise peaceful imagery scenes. He was high energy if you were watching him but not so much if you heard him.It seemed like his mic was on low the entire time and I couldn't understand why the audio engineers didn't turn it up. Sia's sets used the lights in ways I didn't know were possible. I won't spoil I for you. Sia herself remained stationery but that wasn't a problem. The performance stage for each of her songs had a story that may as well been its own musical ballet.Must see !

I was beside myself that I paid money to see this. Migel screamed 'fuck Donald trump' with children in the crowd. I would never support an artist who brought their political beliefs to an event. I was there for Sia and was sadly disappointed. My husband and I left shortly after 10 because it sounded like she was lip singing. I still love her music but I wouldn't have spent money to just see the girl dance and hear the song exactly how it is on the radio.

I missed Sia the last time she played New York at Terminal 5, which was disappointing. But then this show popped up and it was at a much smaller venue, though the sound isn't the best at Webster Hall, it didn't take away Sia's performance or for that matter, Oh Land's either. The first opener Ximena Sarinan was only alright. She had a good voice but the music was a little boring. In between songs there was a lull and seemed like she didn't know what to say. The second opener was Oh Land. I've never seen this band but they were a great opener for Sia. The whole band was energetic and fun. The music was good, and the lead singer had a great voice. The most fun opener I've seen in a long time. Sia was great, hands down. She was fun, had fun banter in between songs. Simply put she's a magical creature. She took and read everything that was thrown up to her on stage. Someone threw her a ring and she put it on. Sia was very funny about other things that were give to her. One of the stuffed animals that was thrown to her she stunk into the back of her pants, underneath her skirt. Along with a pair of slippers. Later she took them out bc it got too hot. She's quirky as she is talented. She sang a lot of things from her new album and some fave's from her first one. Including a new song she wrote with Nick Valensi from The Strokes. Her voice is powerful live. Reaching the whole venue making it very intimate. It was a great show. The most fun part was meeting her after the show. She was very smiley and warm. just a lovely lady. Great night.

It was terrible. She may as well have not even been there. Frankly, I have no reason to believe she ever was. Just to be clear, I have been a long-time fan of Sia since she played with Zero 7. I've seen here twice previously, in much smaller venues (before she got big), and the shows were FANTASTIC. I paid a good bit of money for what would normally be very good seats right on the floor, and I wish I would have just watched the scenes on YouTube instead. What a waste. I read the reviews and I suppose there is some merit, but nothing that should be unexpected. Sia never claims nor gives any indication she is going to unveil her face, not stand there, or actively interact with the crowds. this is the mystique that is compelling as well as frustrating. She is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians in our generation. Writes her own songs, powerful voice, and dramatic artistic concepts. She is a remarkable mentor and her songs are pure with tattered emotional struggle and triumph. No one should be surprised seeing her at a concert still veiled, standing quite still and with little pomp and circumstance. the visual drama comes from her dancers and props. frankly, I would do just about anything to get to meet her and do wish she'd randomly toss the wig and talk to the audience, but this is Sia. Her way. isn't it quite a testament that people flock to this artist because of her voice? the mystery just makes us more curious and wanting more. this same sort of thing happened back in the 70's with artists that wore face paints and outlandish costumes.......recall Kiss? we were frantic when they were finally revealed from underneath the façade. but Kiss not only sang well, they performed with so much drama and over-the-top stunts. Sia is simplistic and beautifully so. I will take it any way she wants, at anytime. To see her live and be so near such musical greatness.........indescribable.

Show was alright. The problem was waiting 2 hours and 30 minutes for her and her performing for a little over an hour...

I've been a fan of Sia since way before she became known in the US so I was very excited for finally having the chance to see her live. However; the fact that we had to wait for 2 HOURS and 20 MINUTES just for her to come out was very disappointing when she only perfume for 1 HOUR and 20 MINUTES. The 2 opening acts and the breaks were so much longer than her performance time and I really couldn't enjoy it as much when she finally did get on the stage. The sound system wasn't also the greatest as the music was just so loud that with Sia's great live singing, it took me time to actually hear her voice and to realize it really was live singing! Having watched her previous smaller scale performances, I was expecting more of a raw, acoustic performances with a live band but since she only performed her latest releases, that was understandable. I just hate leaving somewhat of a negative comment when I really enjoy her artistry but they really need to make changes to the show.

she sings great live, but nothing different from the album. she does not interact at all, just at the very end when she thanks the crowd. the venue is terrible for this kind of concert/show/music. most of the section view was obstructed by the stage set, so the only way we could see anything was on the screens and the images weren't even live! it was very frustrating.

I just would've liked to see Sia doing something else other than standing motionless at the back the entire show. It might be part of the show, but you would think she would come up, out of the blue, with some extraordinary thing, but no... It was a good presentation though!..

This is my 3rd SIA Concert in 9 years... after hearing the Series Finale, "drive off" song at the end of Six Feet Under (Cable TV Series)... Breathe Me... I fell instantly in LOVE with SIA! She is an amazing talent, an amazing person, spirit and human being. Her songs are beautiful and full of such meaning. My first two concerts of hers were small venues, I stood at the foot of the stage, looking right at her, she even interacted with me, and said... "this one is for you my friend"!!! (I squealed like a 15y/o girl... and I was a 40 y/o man)... LOL Wondering HOW she was going to pull this concert off... I was SO pleasantly surprised! It was a WORK OF ART, visually and audibly a masterpiece! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

sia hid in the back corner of the stage. didn't interact with the audience. i could have watched some of her videos and felt the same as at her concert. it was well done and it was a show. i just paid a lot of money to be down on the floor and instead watched the screens and dancers the whole time...

The show went smoothly, started on time without a hitch. Aluna George did not disappoint, Miguel was very entertaining also (his voice is amazing live too!!!)....last but not least SIA!!!!! The entire show was like a movie, I went through every emotion possible and I wanted to cry when it was over...if I could I would follow the rest of the tour.

I never experienced a concert quite like this one. I was so entertained by Maddie Ziegler and others' dance performances that I wasn't missing Sia herself. She sang beautifully to the side as I was immersed into the emotions of her songs and the interpretative dance. Bravo, Sia!

Although the Artis Sia was amazing... Venue was incredible and staff was even better, I was disappointed with the politics brought into the show. Not because of the opinion of the artist Miguel, but the chanting of F&$@ Trump that was shipped as my three children stood by us. Spreading messages of hate are unappreciated. I will however commend the staff for allowing me to change my seats away from other people with my husband that is a disable veteran. Thank you for understanding that it can be difficult to be in large crowds... While understanding that we still want to make our kids happy!!!! SIA is amazing!

Yes, this show exceeded my expectations. Her voice is on the money. But, I must say, the dancers (Maddie and others) are so energetic it is shaking. The videos have the advantage of editing and retakes - this live show doesn't and their energy it contagious. The costumes and performances made me think how pleased Salvador Dali would be of the future he could not live to see..... None of the dance would work if Sia's music wasn't superior. A highlight is "Titanium" w/ only her voice and a piano (and great acrobatic from the dancers.) Can I see her show again? (PS: Sia is not a cheap concert, but I'd do it again w/o question!)

1st of all, I love the Barclays Center for concerts. I saw Coldplay & Jay Z on New Years a few years back and it was amazing. Miguel was okay, he got a little emotional and political, not my cup of tea but I do like his music. Sia was unbelievable. All of her songs one after the other were fantastic. Great voice, great venue. My 2nd favorite concert, number 1 is Sade.

My girlfriend and I went to the show in Orlando. Miguel opened the night with a powerful set of songs. His band was on point, especially the lead guitarist. My only criticism is, his band shouldn't have been behind screens where they couldn't be seen. I was curious how Sia's live performance would be, seeing how she isn't that keen on being in the spotlight. Sunday night, I was pleasantly surprised! The dancers brought the emotion of Sia's lyrics to life, with visceral movements and facial expressions. The juxtaposition of the two, gave me even more appreciation for Sia's songwriting abilities. Even with the dancers at the forefront of the show, Sia made her presence known from the back of the stage with her non stop anthemic singing. She sang long high notes without all the body theatrics with what appeared like ease. The pace of the set of songs was impressive, one after another not pausing for any real break. For the encore, she performed "The Greatest". This had to be the highlight for most in the audience. Even though the performance was poignant, it was very hopeful and uplifting given the great tragedy. I will always remember this show for how great it was both musically and artistically.

Great show with relaxing choreographed dancing. The dancing was a show in it self. Sia's voice was clear and touching. Between the dancers and the singing, the story of the song was understood better.

This concert could have been perfect if Sia had just started at 8 pm and sung for an hour. The concert was supposed to start at 7 pm (Mohegan Sun Arena in CT, which is 1 1/2 hrs from my home). I had to work early the next morning. According to prior reviews, there were supposed to be 2 opening acts (wasn't interested in seeing them). However, only Miguel opened. He started at 7:50 pm and sang for around 45 minutes. He has a great voice, but his performance was really boring. And like previous reviews had noted, he did his political thing, which clearly did not contain spontaneous thoughts. After he finished, the lights went on and there was nothing to do for the next 45 minutes until Sia began. Maddie Ziegler and the dancing cast were great (an interpretive modern dance performance, I'd say). Sia was generally off to the side with the wig. She sounded fantastic. That's all I needed to see. The first 2 1/2 hours were wasted, and it was a weeknight and I have a job. While I'd see Sia again if she sang alone or with a single opening act and efficient flow between acts, I wouldn't recommend this particular concert.

I thought SIA was great. One of my favorite artist and singer. Fantastic performer I love her. However, Please get ride of Miguel the opening act. Terrible. His style has nothing to do with SIA's style of performance and music. Terrible choice for an opening act. Almost walked out.

I am a huge concert goer, been to countless concerts over the years. I have seen legendary performances by some of the best artist of our times yet for me personally they have all fallen short to SIA. By far the best concert I have ever attended which is ironic considering SIA is known for not wanting to show her face in public which holds true even in her concert performances and regardless of that fact her voice is still center stage and the show that her dancers and performers put on is nothing less then amazing. It was a brilliant masterpiece from start to finish and I didn't want the concert to end. I can not wait to see her again.

Sia stands at the back of the stage and sings and doesn't move for the whole concert. Any other artist who done that would have the most boring concert of all time but not Sia, for 2 reasons. Sia's voice is so powerful and incredible she doesn't need to dance just listening to her sing is an experience in itself. And the second reason was little Maddie Ziegler. She is undoubtedly the greatest dancer of our generation. It's such a weird experience witnessing her dance live. She is unbelievably talented and has such an understanding of what she is doing and how to smash it out of the park it is slightly frightening. Personally I travelled over 4,000 miles to come and see Sia from England and it was worth every mile.

Sia was exactly as expected. Beautiful voice, and a good show. She stands and sings in the corner for most of the show, while one or two of her dancers perform, but anyone who knows Sia's style, knows this is normal for her. I'd go see her again on a different tour but not on the same tour in a different city.

Thought the show was great. I bought the tickets for my wifes birthday. To look at me you would not think I would have freely gone to a show of this musical scene, but was blown away at the talent and powerful voice that she has. I love Sia and most of her songs. Unfortunately, she was standing in the corner with her face covered thru out the whole show. For all I know, it could be anybody, and not her while her recordings were playing. Watching her dancers after two or three song got pretty tiring. Biggest part of a live show is watching your favorite performer perform. Also the breaks between the three acts were beyond excessive. It was a Tuesday night, and I am sure most of the audience, including myself, needed to get up early the next day to go to work or school. This show did not need to be stretched to 4+ hours. This is one of the reasons I am avoiding attending most of the shows Monday thru Thursday.

Her voice is unique and amazing. She's been my favorite female vocalist since I first heard her 15 years ago with Zero 7. This is the first time I've seen her live and she didn't disappoint. The vignette format was a surprise and made for one of the best shows I have ever seen. The production as a whole was outstanding and flawless. Where else are you going to see TV and movie stars participate in a show of this type...it blew me away. Her voice..... Thank you Sia!

Basically a music video that plays on the big screens. At first you think it is video from the stage, but it isn't. She didn't say one word to the audience until the very end and honestly it could have been part of the track that the music came from. She made no mention that she was in Orlando and just said "I love you." I wanted some indication that it was live and not previously recorded. She sounded amazing! I just wonder if it was live since it played along with the video being shown exactly......Love her music, but I won't ever go see her again. ps venue was awesome! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. My sister even mentioned it to me. So welcoming! A+ for them. :)
