State Fair Classic

Let's face it, the Cotton Bowl is very outdated when compared to the much newer venues where football is played these days but it's a nice intimate stadium! The Texas State Fair that is happening at the same time of the Grambling vs Prairie View game is a great bonus when attending this game.

Apparently my expectations were too high. This was OVERPRICED and not entertaining.

Enjoyed watching the game but the venue was terrible. Attended game at same venue for OU vs Texas game and there was better organization and more security. It ran a lot smoother.

The state fair classic is a wonderful way to spend time at the fair and see beautiful AA tradition unfold. I enjoy the game, the food of course the battle of the bands but also people watching. Take the entire family to see this time honored insitution. You won't be sorry.

Love BCF classic games, this game had a nice turnout, I truly enjoyed myself as expected. Ticketmaster was great about getting tickets to me in a timely fashion and when I misplaced my ticket, I love that Ticketmaster has the option to allow you to change the delivery and print the ticket without a hassle.

Although the crowds were deep like traffic in rush hour Dallas traffic, we had a good time family fun,security was visibly present which made us feel extra safe@

horible experience. I purchase 4 tickets for family gathering but not allow admission. I was directed to multiple Will Call Pick Up & finally arrived to the a will call booth. I was informed that Ticketmaster do have a will call pick up booth at this venue.. The only way in was to repurchase tickets again & cancel with Ticketmaster. Not the best experience. I will not attend this venue again & that really suck since this was my family first time to attempt

Game was fine, the venue was just to crowded and not enough seats in the shade this game should be an evening game, or sell assigned seats! Event fine for younger ppl

All around great time! Grambling's football team and band came to give all they had. We had no dog in the fight and by default, we sat on the Grambling side, which we were glad we did because by default we won all the way around!!

The seats were VERY uncomfortable, the bands SUCKED, the food and drinks are super HIGH, do I really need to say more?

The game was great...but the half time show was the reason I went and it did not disappoint. If you have never seen Grambling and Prarie View, you are missing out! GREAT SHOW AND GREAT TIME!!!

Had a great time except the wrong team won the game.

Although I have lived in Texas all my life and graduated from an HBCU, this was my first time attending the Fair and the Game. I'm assuming the experience as an older adult is much different than as a college student, but I loved it just the same.

The football game was very weak. Felt like I was watching a HS game. Both bands did really well tho! Would recommend if you go to any of the schools playing. Also, the game ticket gets you into the fair for the day.

The seats were awful. They are half of a seat. If the person behind you pushes the back rest up look forward to a day of back and butt pain. A lady in the stands gave herself a manicure during the game, two coats and a clear coat. It was so strong that I had a sinus headache when I left.
