U.S. Army All-American Bowl

I have been coming to this game every year, since 2008. They FINALLY, FINALLY realized that using multiple ramps onto the field for the autograph session after the game was needed. You used to have ONE ramp for 30,000 people .... yes, it was bananas. The flow of the game, festivities, etc were all top notch again. This was my daughters 1st game and she had a BLAST! She's a big Univ of Miami fan so she got to meet some future Canes out there. GREAT JOB GUYS! SUCCESSFUL EVENT!!!! GO CANES!

The US Army All-American Bowl was a great experience. It gave the city of San Antonio and its supported High School fans a first hand look of the best Future Football Student Athletes across the country. The atmosphere and recongition of other outstanding achievements surely put a stamp on the entire All-American Bowl to include the battle of the bands. Kudos to the US Army for their unwavering support and display of excellence. What an exciting finish to the game!

This is one of my favorite events to attend every year. It not only showcases the talents of some of the Best High Shool football players in the country,It also recognizes our current military men and women and all of us veterans as well...HOOOOOO-RAHHHHHH!!!!

about the same every year. Best part of the event is meeting the kids afterwards. They're very willing of their time and the little ones truly seemed in awe of them. Biggest criticism same as last year: takes too long to get folks down on the field, especially in the north endzone. Still somewhat disorganized, but a modest improvement over last year. Not recommended for casual fans; would recommend more for hardcore FB fans and people interested in seeing/meeting prospective players for "their" university

Great seats and it was great to see the best players in the country. The East team needed a QB I think the East Coaches didnt know Diggs can play QB

Army always puts on a great event and showcases some of the best high school football players from around the nation.

Enjoyed watching game . Was well organized. Lot's of freebies. Booth setups outside of dome were well manned, very informative and people friendly. Crowd was great. A very family orientated event.

Great Game, Awesome Event hope to return next year!

All was good except the typical fan was there to socialize, jump up and down going to the snack bar, restroom or walk the Alamodome with friends while talking on their cell phones and texting rather than watching the pre-game, game or halftime ceremonies. These habits cause the serious fan to have to stand up and down and have their vision and hearing blocked during the very proceedings that we paid and arrived o watch and enjoy.

The talent of the athlete was superb. every athlete selected was the best at their position and played very hard. The great part about the game was the accessibility of the athlete afterwards. The part i disliked was that there was no crowd control on the field afterwards for the autograph session. it was choatic to get malcolm brown's autograph for my son. I saw kids getting pushed around in the midst of everything, not on purpose, but people really didnt show any appropriateness.

OK game; poorly planned. Over 37,000 attendees but not enough gates open on a cold (for san antonio) blustery day. People were forced to walk all away around the venue - on the outside - in order to get in. After the game they announced that fans were welcome to come down on the field for autographs and pictures. Effectively they only opened one staircase down to the field, in one corner of the stadium. Complete bottleneck; complete standstill for fans in the stands; extremely frustrating. Then, to add insult to injury, as soon as the fans got on the field they started snapping off the lights and announced people should make way for the exits. Insulting and amateurish. Bottom line is that they either didn't have enoug staff on hand, or didn't think things through (plan). Finally, for the city of San Antonio, from a San Antonian: there are two times during the year the city is guaranteed to be on TV (an opportunity to show off the city): the AlamoBowl and All-American. why then, invariably, does the city choose to drain the river during one of them?? It's embarrassing for the city. I realize there is no good time to do this mandatory maintenance. But, conventions and tourists typically don't bring camera crews and broadcast trucks with them to beam to the country. // Kudos the kids (players) for taking pictures, signing autographs and answering questions. There are some really good kids out there .... and oh by the way they also play some darn good football.

Awesome event. I've been going with my wife for the last 6 years. This event really showcases the athletes and the Army. Can't wait till next year!

The game itself was wonderful. Parking was bad, and the service at the concession stand was horrible.

It was so cool that I am going to come again next year. I will be bringing a friend with me to this event. The strong zone was crowded but that is to be expected. I had such good seats to see the whole event that I kept the ticket stub to know where I was to attempt to get the same seats.

All in all the kids did a great job. Lots of hustle and good will passed between all the players. Some of the official's calls and the time keeper may have left something to be desired but all in all a good experience.

The game was full of good exciting plays. I liked the TV coverage and the fact that the players are interviewed and declare their college choices during the game.

It was a real delight to see the best high school football players in the country compete in an atmosphere of mutual respect, a hight level of competitiveness and, true sportmanship. The icing on this great event was stong turnout and, support of the men and women of the U.S. Army. It was a humbling experience and a reminder of what these fine soldiers do for us on a daily basis. God Bless Them!!!

The event has grown in popularity since the last time I attended. The atmosphere is always a plus and seeing all the different people representing their respective schools is a blast. The autograph tables at the end of the event is a new feature, or at least was not available to the general public last time I went, and is a major plus for the fans and kids who idolize these athletes. Would attend this event again in a heartbeat.

The US Army All-American Bowl was alot of fun with a very competitive game played by Junior and Senior High School players from around the country. This was my first time attending the event. I and my family had such a great time. We intend to go each year. The AlamoDome was full of family members, bands and footbal fans. If you get the opportunity to go, take the time to make the trip to downtown San Antonio and watch young people excell! P.S. The Army's interactive displays and programs set up outside the AlamoDome were also a plus!

Pregame activities, the game itself, seating and parking were all very convenient.

We had a great time at the game. It was awesome going down on field after game to meet the players. We met four of the Notre Dame recruits and took pictures. Much fun.....

Event was awesome. Seating wasn't great due to my disability. Thank God those sitting next to me were so understanding.

We enjoyed the game. It was my first time to the Army bowl. Went to support our quarterback from Petal, Miississippi, Anthony Alford. Hopefully, this is the start of the future God has planned for him. I love the spirit of the army men. They out cheered the fans.

As a military brat & veteran, It was an awesome event to attend. It was great to be a part of an event representing two joint worlds; football and in honor of service men/women who serve(d) for our country. The ceremonies from Purple heart, veterans, sworn in, Army band, to introduction of Football players being escorted to team was unforgettable my son and I. The outside events by the Sunset Station were fun and educational for kids to experience a bit of United States Army and interest for their future. My son was enlightened, motivated, and amazed how combined two of his interests were.

The low rating comes from the staff not having a clue the boundaries of GA seats. Nor did they have these areas roped off and enough staff to manage them. I sat for almost 30 minutes in the wrong section when I could have gotten a better seat in the appropriate area.

The game was fun and exciting. The best part was at the end of the game they open the gates to get autographs from the new recruits. The only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 star, there was no seating arrangements. All the seats say plaza level, but once you get there, the ushers are pointing you in all different directions. Little secret, get there early, you can get first-row seats, just don't leave for halftime or the ushers will block you from going back.

This was my 5th year in a row and I look forward to this game every year. The event is put on very professionally and is enjoyable and entertaining. Highly recommended if you are a fan of football, especially college football!

Good game, enjoyed watching the All-Americans play.

Last year the kids were able to get autographs from the players and this year they were not. All 5 boys that I brought were greatly disappointed. We are big A&M fans and had wanted autographs from the players that had committed to the school. For the younger boys it is a real big deal to get close to the players who are semi-role models of what they hope to be in high school. Otherwise, the kids enjoyed themselves.

Was a great game at first you thought you know how was going to win but then it changed and at end was a close game had a lot of fun

U.S Army Game was Amazing and i can not wait for the next year game.

The PA System really needs an upgrade, most of the time could not understand the announcements. Know this is a old facility, but needs upgrading, especially the seats, they were very uncomfortable. I will not go to another event because of the seating

Was good to see Vets. honored, we need more of this. Game moved way to Sloooow. Too many time outs. Ref's. were very poor and missed many calls. People were given misinformation on seating. Many were told general admission was in with the assigned seating and had to be moved. Just too many mistakes all around.

The event itself is good, and if you're a fan of football - and especially College Football - this HS All-star game is still the premier event. After the game fans get a chance to meet players on the field. For years this part has been poorly organized and frustrating. This year they decided at some point to create a single file line to access the field...which resulted in a line forming out the door of the Alamodome. There's got to be a better way. As a San Antonio resident, can't explain why the city seemingly closed streets to traffic at random, thereby restricting easy access to Dome parking; sorry. I've been going for past ~8 yrs and it's great to see the kids play and stars of the future. I'd love to see the organizers and city clean up some little things though to make it that much more enjoyable

THE GAME WAS A GOOD DEFENSIVE BATTLE. THE SEATS WERE ON 50-YARD LINE. HOWEVER, I ASKED FOR AISLE SEATS BECAUSE I AM 70 YRS OLD WITH BAD FEET AND KNEES. THERE WAS AN IRON RAILING AT MY SEAT AND I WAS UNABLE TO STRETCH OUT MY LEGS FROM AN EXTREMELY CRAMPED POSITION. I NEVER EVER WANT AISLE TICKETS ON ROW 19, SECTION 112, SEATS 13 AND 14, AT THE 50-YD LINE AGAIN. I WOULD HAVE ENJOYED THE GAME A LOT MORE IF I HAD BEEN COMFORTABLE.

My 9 year old son loves anything Army/military. I didn't know anything about the event but my boss told me about it the day before the game. So I immediately purchased tickets. My son had no idea that we were going. We just got in the car and started driving. He was very surprised and excited when we got there early to see all of the displays and tours outside. The game was really fun to watch, too.

This event was wonderful. We got our seats only a couple of days ahead of time, but they were still good seats. The event was well organized. I especially liked having players announce what college they were going to attend. (even though I was a little disappointed in some of their choices :) )

Took a disabled vet with me and both He and I loved it and enjoyed every moment.

Best Army All American Bowl yet. Young men on the field were skilled, terrific, and even more than most years, were really invested in the outcome of the game. Band was unbelievable - knocked your socks off. Parents of the players in the stands were really supportive of the teams, more so than the performance of their individual player. They also interacted with one another more than in prior years - became a real family event. Credit the U. S. Army with creating this atmosphere. They have worked hard to make this a family-friendly event more than an All-Star game. The players and their families in turn were very impressed and inspired by the fine young men and women of the Army in attendance who serve and protect them 24/7/365. Thank you for this great event. Will look forward to next year.

This was a great event, highly recommended to everyone, I really enjoyed the tent/tables/displays they had outside the dome, before the event took place. If your attempting to get autographs I recommend you get them before the game at the displays, they do have an area/event for autographs after the game.

My husband (who is retired military) took our 5 year old nephew who loves football to this game. Our seats were terrific and we got there to watch the whole pregame show. What a great way to teach a child patriotism and military appreciation. The game was fun and the autograph event afterwards was so fun to watch our nephew talk to the young players and be in awe!! Everyone must go to this event! It will be a tradition going forward in our family.

It was an awesome game and our seats were great. ticket master is the Only way I buy tickets to my favorite events!

This was one of the best trips may family and I have been on. San Antoino is a great city and there was more to see then we had time for. Going back. Overall everything was great the Army was top notch. And the band. OMG !!!!!! Best preformance I have seen from a band all year. Keep up the good work. Army Rocks !!!!!

Good show once again. I enjoyed it all, but the highlight was definitely te All-American Band. They were absolutely fabulous - Five Star*****

Really liked the pregame Army booths and gifts. Game was great; but, shouldn't have run clock out to meet pro game TV deadline. It cheated us out of a strong game ending.

This is an excellent venue and an outstanding atmosphere - combining high school sports and the patriotic theme brought by the Army. That being said, I have been to all but the first of these games held in San Antonio and this was by far the most boring. Both teams struggled to generate offense, with very few exciting plays...and with only three scoring plays total betweent the two teams. Even two extra point kick attempts were blocked! Further adding to the lackluster proceedings on the field, the TV broadcast of the game required the fourth quarter to be cut short, killing any potential for some final drama at the end of the game. BADLY needed improvements for future games: 1. Give the teams more time to prepare for the game. (This year, I believe they had less than a week of practice leading up to the game.) This should enhance the quality of play by these exceptional athletes. 2. Start the game early enough that it is not cut stort by television broadcast or other time constraints - so the players and fans aren't cut short. I'll continue to support this game in the future, but this game deserves to be the best possible and the on-the-field product desperately needs improvement to better showcase what the athletes can really do.

Awesome event. Loved the pregame show and the show outside. What an event. Can't wait until next year. This is our 7th or 8th year. What a show! We were on the west side and the Jumbo tron camera man liked our section. We had 15 people in our party on the front roll. We had some young children with us and they really enjoyed being on the big screen. Thanks for a memorable experience!

My friend and I went together and enjoyed a very good game and will proably go again next year. The program was well organized and enjoyable.

Amazing event. So great to watch the young players, band and to see us honoring our Army soldiers.

My family and I had an amazing time . Love every bit of it !!
