i discovered James Bay with a free download from ITunes and the song "Let It Go". I then purchased his album and EPs so I was excited to see this show. the show was sold out which was great , that meant everyone saw what I did in him as performer. He took the stage and tore the house down with his powerful voice and demonstrated some pretty great guitar skills. Everyone sang along to the whole set and were dancing like no one was watching. Great time, great show!

This was the second time I have seen James Bay. I was fortunate to see him at Irving Plaza a few years ago when he was starting out. I didn't know him but thought his songs and acoustical guitar playing was great. Then I saw that he was nominated for a Grammy Award, watched him play on the Grammy Awards show and saw that he was coming to New York. That was it...I had to see him again! I took my nephew and we had a great time.

This show was incredible. From start to finish I had chills up and down my spine. Not only was James Bay amazing live but he had a stellar group open for him. Joseph was absolutely fantastic. They had one guitar and their voices as instruments and it was all they needed. The harmonies, the pace, the sound! It was all perfect. I would love to see them again for a longer set and truly revel in their outstanding vocal and performing abilities. Then there was James. The energy and soul he put into his show, not to mention his flawless voice, made me so sad when the concert had ended. He deserved all the praise for his energetic set which included almost all of his songs. What fan doesn't want to hear all of their favorites by the artist? There was something for everyone and he did not disappoint. Also, the venue was perfect for his sound and style and it was well worth it to have a general admission ticket on the main floor. Even though I didn't stand in the pit area (I was closer to the bar) I could see and hear everything perfectly. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

James Bay was incredible! I was a little worried seeing him at The Fillmore because we had GA and I had not seen a concert there before but one of the best concerts I've been too. The sound was incredible and it felt very intimate in the smaller venue.

He's an incredible performer, has a beautiful & soulful voice. He covered Take Another Piece of My Heart (originally sung by Erma Franklin, A. Franklin's sister) and covered by the great Janis Joplin. But he makes it his own and I would like to have a copy of his rendition which almost was unrecognizable since he slowed down the tempo.

James Bay was amazing playing and singing live! Full of energy, great light effects, amazing guitar playing and even better vocals! The only thing I did not enjoy was that I was on the mezzanine and when he came on stage I got up due to my full excitement and almost nobody else did, which resulted on me getting mad looks and people asking me to sit down! Come on! We're in a concert, I want to enjoy myself! But James Bay was incredible! Definitely recommend to anyone and will see him again live whenever I have the chance!

I went to this concert with two friends and was looking forward to it for a long time since I'm a huge James Bay fan. His opening act came on almost exactly at eight and were very good. Fast forward an hour and James came on around 9:05. From then on the night was unforgettable! He puts on such an amazing performance and is one of those artists that sound even better live!!! He was able to captivate the crowd and interacted with us a lot actually. I was star struck and had such a great time. Truly a great performer and did not disappoint!!!

James Bay was absolutely amazing! It was my second time seeing him & he is a MUST SEE! He is a humble, extremely talented artist. He is a lyrical genius. I highly recommend going to see him if you get the chance. I will go every chance I get, as his voice gives me goose bumps. He knows how to make everyone in the room stop whatever they are doing & listen. James engages the crowd to sing...it is quite remarkable to be in Radio City & have a giant "sing along" with a sold out crowd & no one ever sat down! He gives all he's got & is unforgettable. The sound quality was excellent as well. I have been to many, many concerts in my life & am a music lover, so take it from my experience & I promise you will not be disappointed. Loved the concert! James Bay was energetic, excited, and vocally spot on! What I loved most about this concert was that there was not one swear word uttered! James is a classy act and I would see him again and again. Humble and real and appropriate for all ages. I also loved the band that opened for him, Joseph, 3 sisters that had amazing harmonies. The one girl played guitar, used a foot petal as a drum and sang! Really? I can't chew gum and walk at the same time let alone do all that! James Bay was so happy to be playing at Radio City, he was just taking it in and it was so nice to be part of that1

This was both my first James Bay show and my first concert at Radio City, and I had such a great time. James was energetic and his vocals were even better in person; he and his band had the entire venue captivated from the second they got onstage. The crowd gave off a great vibe, too--the fans around me weren't recording the entire show, they were dancing and singing along. It was amazing, and I would definitely go see him again!

Fun Show! James Bay had great energy sounded fantastic! He involved the crowd and had great guitar solos. My only complaint would be that after about 40 minutes he said he was finished. There was a long period of time where the crowd clapped and chanted. He came back for an encore and played for approximately 20-25 more minutes. So it was a short show. He does only have so many songs available to play, so this is probably why, but I expected a bit longer concert. However, he was amazing at what he did play!

His music is excellent but seeing him perform it live is a whole different level. You can see him give his 110% when performing. His live voice sounds exactly the same when you hear it on your listening device. However, he adds guitar solos to his well known songs that gives more excitement to them and gets the crowd going. You can see his own enjoyment when he shreds his guitar. You won't be disappointed.

I have listened to James Bay since he first came on the scene. I have listened to his CD many times over and really like every song he has done. For that reason, I expected that he would provide a good live performance that I would enjoy. What I didn't expect is that James Bay is apparently one of those rare performers who seem to perform even better live than they do in a studio. What I discovered on Saturday night, was that you cannot really appreciate this artist until you have seen him live. His enthusiasm to perform for his fans combined with his music and voice sounding in some cases better than he does on his CD, has given me a new respect and increased appreciation for James. I am looking forward to his future music and have put him on my list of artists I will attempt to see again.

I tried so hard to enjoy this concert... This guy sounds great on the radio, but, live, didn't even sound like the same singer. He was stiff. The setlist was predictable and did not build any thrill or expectation. Just boring. His 'Scars' performance was especially bad and out of rhythm. Still love the songs, but won't be seeing him live again. :(

I had never been to an event at Hard Rock Live, so I was unsure of what to expect. It's Florida, so of course it stormed right before the show and all of the people going to the event were running across the Universal property trying to stay as dry as possible. The event staff was incredibly nice and the venue itself was wonderful. James Bay puts on a phenomenal show, end of story. He is an extremely passionate performer and it shows in his stage presence. I have never heard a crowd sing along so loudly I lost track of how many times I got goosebumps. Hope to see James perform here again in the future. Would definitely recommend attending this show if you have the chance.

James Bay is a solid musician. It just seemed like he was a bit inexperienced when it came to having good stage presence or concert etiquette. How? Most of his interaction with the crowd was him asking for praise, he didn't introduce his band, and he didn't quite know how to do the standard encore (say "thank you for having me at _____" before the "last song," then walk off stage and come back a few minutes later). It would be better if he had told stories about his songs, the tour, thanked the audience for being there, and introduced his band. His music, however, was very very good. As was the light show. Great performer and musician. It was a good show. Just turned off a little by his ego.

The show was amazing, James Bay is full of energy, you get addicted to his music after seeing him live. Venue is a great small place for an up close experience, don t be fooled by the offer to purchase seats the day of the show if it s a will call event, if you re early enough to be one of the first on line the seats will suck compared to where you can stand, right up against the stage as if you were in a pit. Shows like this are worth standing over 6 hours between waiting in line and watching the performer. I would definitely go back to TLA for future events like this.

JAMES BAY alluded to the fact that the SF Fillmore is a special venue and he has been fortunate to now play there twice. He joins alongside so many famous bands and musicians and performers that have graced the Fillmore stage and it is certainly apparent he belongs amongst them. Supported on stage by some back up musicians and two terrific backup singers, JAMES BAY was without question the focus of everyone in the audience. Changing guitars almost every song....center stage with quite subtle lightling....he was full of charm in delivering a set that included songs from his upcoming album Electric Light but full of his most popular songs from previous. Having seen him previously, his look with his hair cut short certainly gives a different impression. But the talent is so there. And he was charming throughout....often encouraging the sing a longs from the passionate fans in the audience. JAMES BAY will be returning for a full out tour this Fall and I highly recommend those who enjoy his music look to purchase tickets as soon as they can. JAMES BAY is a total rocker with heart!!

I saw James Bay and I was blown away. I think it's incredibly rare for an artist to sound exactly as they do on their recorded tracks, but he did just that. He is an amazing performer, singer, guitarist, etc. You could feel his energy and passion for what he does, and it just made the experience that much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend, and have already seen again at the Hammerstein Ballroom and he did not disappoint.

I had an incredible concert experience on Oct. 7th. James Bay put on the best show I've seen in awhile. The opening act, Joseph, did as well!! I fell in love with them the second they started singing the first song. The last songs the two groups did together was the perfect ending to a great night.

The artist was incredible. So talented, we enjoyed it very much. The venue not so good. The staff at The Pageant were rude this time. You can't bring any minors and expect to have any alcohol. New rules, totally separate sections, can't leave the bar area with a drink, and they were rude about it.

I should begin with saying that this concert was my first experience with Echostage. Thee fact that it was already dark by the time I got out of the house, did not make it easier. Luckily, I happened to make it in time for the shuttle (which comes and goes as it pleases, and the pick-up spot is not marked in any way). The neighborhood around the club seemed really creepy in the dark, also considering the fact that I was by myself. The act itself was pretty enjoyable, James gave a good show despite having lost a friend the night before in the Paris attacks. He has a really nice contact with the audience. I loved his spontaneous guitar intros and solos. Even though I really enjoy his music, I had a feeling like I've been to better concerts. But maybe it's just the nature of this kind of music.

The concert was incredible. Frances got the crowd into it immediately (I somehow knew all of the words to her song when I woke up the next morning) with her huge voice and the incredible Echostage acoustics. Then of course James Bay came on and was amazing. He sang every song that a fan would have hoped for him to sing and he was nothing other than exactly what we expected. It was ridiculous.

Frances kicked off the show with her amazing vocals. All I wanted to do was sing along with her! James Bay then came out and did not disappoint at all. He is even better live! Echostage is a great venue with plenty of standing room and seats if you get tired.

He was amazing!!! I've been to another concert of his this year and he didn't disappoint either time. His opening act was also really great. I just love how humble and gracious he is with his fans. You can tell that he really appreciates us being completely in love with him - which we all are :)

Awesome show. Wish we could have had seats, didn't realize you could reserve some at additional cost. Not obvious when buying tickets. But very talented artists put on a good show. Fun show all around.

I loved the entire concert. I loved that there were only 2 artists so that I didn't have to wait longer for james bay. I was pleasantly surprised that Tor Miller is very good. I drove 5 hours to come see James Bay and I have no regrets. I'd do it again

I was expecting an incredible night of artistry when I walked into the Newport Music Hall to see James Bay. But what I got was even further beyond what I could ever have hoped for. James Bay is a fantastic lyricist, vocalist, and guitarist... But his presence on stage is absolutely unbelievable. He has a contagious passion, joy, and energy that will utterly blow you away. His performance was a full 5 stars, but the crowd unfortunately was a little unruly and took away from the heartfelt moments, for example when he was trying to tell the story behind Scars. Regardless, I've been to many many shows and his is by far one of the most memorable.

James Bay is as incredible live as he is streaming from my speakers. He is full of energy and beautiful music. He had one smaller opener who was awesome (Tor Miller) and then came on and played about two hours. He played all his songs from Chaos and the Calm and just blew me away. He is such a talented musician.

He was the quintessence of perfection and sounded even better in person.I was low key crushing the whole time.He made my first concert experience extraordinary.I love how he took time to say happy birthday to a fan and was joking around with the audience for a while, having them repeat back the notes he sang to them.Longing forward to seeing him again.

James Bay is an absolutely wonderful performer! He gets so into his music and playing his guitar. He gets the audience into the songs, and his voice is just amazing. It's great to watch someone who is so passionate about his music and hear it through his voice. Watching him live adds so much to the experience of listening to his music.

The seats sucked really bad but once James came out on that stage everything was perfection. Everyone ended up standing all together in the front and just singing, crying and just enjoying his performance. Me and my daughter Lana had an incredible time.

By far this was one of the most memorable concerts I've ever been to. James' energy was nothing short of incredible and his band was phenomenal. The lighting, the showmanship, it just all came together for a show I'll never forget. I hadn't been to a concert in about two years and this show cured that fix and then some! It's been three days and I'm still reeling. James is amazing live and if you've got the chance to check him out, do yourself a favor and purchase your ticket ASAP. I'm already anxious for him to come back to NYC so I can see him again.

It's been three days since the concert and I still can't stop thinking about it. James Bay was UNFORGETTABLE. He sounded better live than in studio (which, if you hear his studio recordings, is pretty amazing) and there wasn't a second at the concert where I felt like I wasn't having the time of my life. He played with such an energy and I am so glad I got to be there. I have no doubt he's going to be huge one day, so if you're ever looking for a great concert experience, or even just great music, check him out.
