Something Rotten! was a riot. Great show all the way around - the songs, the dialogue, the costumes, the choreography! My daughter saw it on broadway and we knew we would go see it if it came closer on tour. Drove down from Maine for the show and we were not disappointed!

I loved this show! The voices were excellent and Shakespeare was special. His stage presence was obvious but his voice could be on the radio tomorrow. The first half was a little slow at times as they developed the characters, but the second half was incredible and I wish I could have watched it over and over. Thanks for a great night! The venue was also excellent. They understand entertainment and did not disappoint.

"Something Rotten" is fun, funny and a joyous sendup of the Elizabethan era. The songs are great, the humor is well-honed and the characters strongly developed. At times, the jokes are a bit over the top, but that's to be expected in a show that goes all out for broad comedy. Even the "groaners" are witty, and probably written to be so. Very family-friendly, diverse cast, and the all-ages audience loved it. It's not Shakespeare- but it is funnier. And - dare I say - it's funnier than "Spamalot?" I doth.

With names like Rob McClure and Adam Pascal in the cast list, you know from the start the show is going to be great, but I was pleasantly surprised with everyone in the cast. This show was so good and funny and all the actors sold their parts. You can tell that everyone puts their all into every performance. It didn't look like a job to them; you could feel their energy in every scene. If I could acknowledge everyone in the cast individually, I would. Bottom line, see the show as soon as you can.

Something Rotten! is so funny! The story is about two brothers, Nick and Nick Bottom, who need money. So they write a play. But nobody likes it because Shakspeare, the Bard, wins over everyone with his writing. The actors are perfect ,the costumes were perfect, the sets were perfect. Everything was amazing.

Already bought the soundtrack. The title is a bit off putting until you realize that it's a play on the line from Hamlet but I'm glad I overcame that and went. One of my favorite musicals of this decade.

Something Rotten is a wonderful show that had me laughing and smiling from the opening number until the curtain call. This show received a standing ovation during Act One for a fabulous production number! It is a little risque but nothing too over the top. If you like Theater you will love this show, if you like Shakespeare you will love this show, and if you like to laugh you will love this show!

We saw the Broadway Tour of Something's Rotten. A very entertaining play and fantastic cast. 50 of the Broadway cast touring with this play. Great theatre, beautiful, historical and very good service. We sat in upper mex are and other than not being able to see some of the facial expressions - you didn't miss anything. Sound and voices were all good. You just gotta to if you're in the area.

This was my first time going to the Orpheum theater and for anyone who hasn t been there, the seating is a little crowded with little leg room, but the show more than makes up for it! The cast was amazing, as soon as we saw Adam Pascal in the cast we knew we needed to go. The musical numbers were hilarious and catchy, and had the audience entertained the entire time! Would definitely recommend!

Full disclosure, I love this show and have seen it 3 times in different cities. It s clever, funny, and well-staged and just entertaining. This time it seems like the cast was clicking perfectly and having a good time. The leads are all amazing and seem to really enjoy the show which makes it that much more fun for the audience. The first half is better than the second (Hard to be the Bard excepted) but that s often the case in musicals. And the first half is soooo good, the second half is forgiven.

This was my first time to the venue and I was beyond wow-ed at the theater! It's gorgeous to say the least, and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Even if you sat in the very last row you still could see the actors facial expressions and didn't have to lean over people to get a clear view. The show itself was amazing and one of the funniest play's i've seen to date! We had the added bonus of seeing Adam Pascal (the original Roger from RENT) as Shakespeare and that was a true treat! Cannot wait to go back and see other shows!

Who doesn't love a musical about musicals?! Bought tickets on a whim the evening before the performance not knowing too much about the show before. After reading the synopsis, I was intrigued. The characters were brought to life by brilliantly talented actors (Adam Pascal is a favorite - but the leads stood on their own). Attending performances at Shea's Buffalo is always a treat, and I look forward to returning for more performances in the future.

We've seen this show before. It's one of our favorites. I love a show that ends with all of us smiling, humming a catchy tune, repeating the funny lines, and glad things resolved well for our protagonists. This show is so clever -- lough out loud funny. Despite having seen it previously, and listening to the soundtrack many times, we keep discovering new depths of subtle wit. Everyone in our party loved it, as has everyone I know who has seen it, either on Broadway or on tour. It's especially enjoyable for the Shakespeare- and musical theatre-literate, but even those with only a slight recollection of high school Shakespeare will get most of the jokes. The Hershey Theatre was a lovely venue, well maintained, beautifully appointed. The décor was something reminiscent of something you'd see at Disney. And the sound mix was especially good. Because the dialogue is fast-paced for this show, it's sometimes easy to lose lines if the sound isn't mixed well -- this was perfect. I wouldn't call the show's content family-friendly. There are some very suggestive elements and some coarse language. Some of that might go over the heads of some younger audience members, but I'd definitely put this in the PG-13 category.

Every part of the play was surprisingly exceptional. We bought tickets for a break in the winter and saw far more of a play than expected. Yes it was corny and "over the top" - but you'd expect some of that after reading the summary. The humor was great - not in your face but easily grasped even when subtle. The set and lighting was far more than I expected. The acting was natural when appropriate and annoying when appropriate. The music subtly included some very familiar show music, but only just enough to make you laugh. A great time.

We enjoyed the show but it can't compare to the Broadway version. All the performers were talented and gave it their all, but in particular it's hard to follow Brian Darcy James as Nick Bottom and Christian Borle as Shakespeare. Still, a very clever and entertaining show. Definitely worth seeing.

Yes, the whole premise was silly, but it was a comedy and made to bring us to laughter. I did not appreciate the sexual innuendos in the show, but the references to other famous Broadway musicals was most entertaining . My husband said he was glad we didn't pay Broadway prices for the show, and perhaps he is right, but overall I have to say that I enjoyed the show.

I m a huge fan of musicals and this show did not disappoint! Little bits of shade and lots of references. I honestly believe I had a smile on my face the entire time. A very original show with a fantastic cast! Loved it so much I m going back to see it again. The Hershey theatre is always a treat and I m happy they upgraded their lights and equipment to be able to bring more diverse shows to the southern central PA area!
