Lavell Crawford

To those in the know, funnyman Lavell Crawford is one of the hottest rising stars in the biz today. Lavell has just been signed by Comedy Central to Star in and Executive Produce one of their first two multi-camera series for the network along with Will Ferrell's.Lavell gained huge national exposure on NBC's, "Last Comic Standing." Not only did NBC take notice, promptly signing Lavell to a holding deal with the network, but also Comedy Central, offered him his own half-hour standup special, "Comedy Central Presents: Lavell Crawford" which aired in early 2009.

So this night started off VERY badly, I got a speeding ticket on Monroe, it was cold outside AND the show started almost 2 hours LATE! BUT, once it got going I couldn't stop laughing. Lavell Crawford is a FOOL! So happy he's healthier but happier he's still funny. Also LOVED Dominique! Never heard of her before the show but she was just as funny as Lavell. Great show, but PLEASE start promptly next time.

I'm was so happy to hear Lavell was coming I bought our tickets immediately when they went on sell, this dude is hillarious, I will go see him anytime, l loved the show, my husband and I laughed so hard. My laugh box couldn't handle no more after the first half of the show. He did an awesome job. We Love Lavell Crawford, this will be a must have once in a life time DVD.

I love Lavell Crawford his comedy was side splitting Saturday night. The joke that he told about going to Hawaii, and what he thought was an older white man in a Spedo the size of an eye patch, had me laughing so hard I had a cramp in my side, and I was crying. I loved the show. But, what I didn't like about being taped for television was all the preparation for the taping like making us laugh hysterically and clap and scream loudly for the beginning and the end of the show, I thought it was too long and drawn out. I also thought it was unnecessary because Lavell is such a great comedian, he was going to get a standing ovation anyway.

I won t lie, after looking SO forward to seeing Lavelle on the 23rd of October, in St. Louis, my boyfriend and I fought all day before going to see him. I thought about selling our tickets, the last thing I wanted to do was go out, and I was far from being in the mood. However, after arriving, and seeing that I had scored us 3rd row seats, I started to feel a little better, and then the show started!!! It was AMAZING! We laughed, literally, from start to finish. This was only my 2nd comedy show ever, and I truly believe it is going to be almost impossible to top! We left hand in hand, wiping tears from our eyes from laughing so hard!! THANKS LAVELLE!! You helped more than you know!!

Lets start from the beginning., this theater did not open the doors untill 7pm ..The show suppose to started at 7...Finally sat in our seats at 7:45 only to wait till almost 9 for the show to begin..There where no other comedians that came to the stage except for the M.C which made no sense at all since there was no other comedians to introduce..That was very disappointing...This was a taping for a upcoming DVD and what they had us doing before the show was not cool..They had us applause before the show as if he just said something funny..So lame..Some of the jokes that Lavelle told was previous jokes that I already heard him say..I could not understand him at times , his voice gets irratating at times..He was not that funny and some guest was leaving way before the show ended...I expected better since this was a live taping and because STL is his home town..

The Lavell Crawford was great the only thing that I was disappointed about is that it started about a hour and half late. When the host got out on the stage there wasn't even an apologize. I suspect that they lied about the time in order for everyone to be there when the show started. Other than that he was very funny and I recommend that everyone sees Lavell live stand up.

Lavell was awesome as expected! He delivered until late into the evening. Dominique was hilarious too. The Uptown was freakin HOT that night. Need to fix the A/C. I have seen many shows there and never had this problem before.

joe claire was a crack-up. very funny performance--monique was exceptional as well, but lavelle was the man as always keeping the crowd in an uproar. i thought he might use a lot of his old material but not true. he was amazing as he presented a lot of new material that i had not heard. simply amazingly funny. only drawback was the theater was exceptionally hot.

Saw Lavelle in ATL on 2/13/10 with Earthquake and Arnez J. Lavelle was the star of the show and had everyone falling out their seats. I have been liking Lavelle since the Comic View days and am very happy I made it to this show.
