Honestly one of the best overall musicals I have ever seen!! It was like Dr. Suess had come to life! Stefan Karl was amazing as the Grinch, he really needs to be on the big screen!

What a wonderful performance! The entire cast and production looked exactly as if they'd stepped off the pages of Mr. Geisel's timeless book. The music and orchestra were unbelievable! Great job everybody! :-D Can't wait to see it again! --- Sat about 10 rows from the stage on the main floor, the 3 seats left of the left main aisle (101, 103 and 105). Great view except for tall people (well over 6') in front of us; had hard time seeing without constantly craning our necks. Luckily had aisle seat for my 5-y-o son. If it hadn't been for the tall people obstructing our view, I'd have given the seats 5 stars.

Started 30 minutes late, on a school night with a program geared towards kids. Made the night really long for little ones. I thought the Grinch was terrific, but was disappointed in the music. Too much repeat of the same chorus. Didn't keep our little ones' attention.

My husband and I went to this event. Although we do not have any children, the Grinch is great for the kids! Our seats were high so I wasn't able to enjoy the elaborate costumes as much as I would have liked. We loved the musical! It is such a great story and we were very excited to see it!! Highly recommended.

I am 32 years old but this play made me feel 5 all over again. The singing and acting is wonderful in this play. It certainly brought out the kid in me. The costumes were done perfectly, they looked like they jumped from the pages of the book. I love when crowd participation is encouraged. I sang to the top of my lungs! The play was amazing.

Don't go to this show thinking it will be everything the TV "Grinch" is, and more. It's much, much less. Uninspired songs, lots of burp and fart jokes.... it made me wish we'd saved our money and watched the DVD at home. The one saving grace: the tremendously cute little girl who plays the littlest Who.

The performance was pretty good. It reminded me more of the Jim Carey movie than the original. Glad I did not pay full price for the tickets. !!!!! DO NOT BUY PARKING PASS TO THE FOX!!!!!!! They oversold parking passes and there were not spaces. Not only were there no spaces, but the parking garage dead ends, so there were about 25 cars with no space that were backed up in the parking garage. We were stuck with no space to even turn around. They had to get everyone to back out.

It was openning night and I am not sure what the problem was at the Fox theater in Atlanta. The event was delayed by 20 minutes and did not start until 8:20 PM. The Fox opened the doors to the theater at 7PM but would not let anyone in their seats until almost 8 pm. You could hear the cast rehearsing almost until 8PM. Maybe it was openning night jitters. The overcrowding in the consession areas was terrible due to the delay. As for the event itself, the Grinch character was enjoyable but for the remainder of the characters, it was average and not worth the $400.00 I spent on 5 tickets.

The Broadway Across America Production of How The Grinch Stole Christmas was a great show at the fabulous Fox! The set design, the costumes, the orchestra, everything was wonderful. I did find it very unusual that the show started 20 minutes late without any explanation. Normally, I wouldn't mind because just being at the Fox is a real treat, but I took my 10 year old son to see the show on a school night and I was eager to get home asap. I've never known a show to start even 5 minutes late at the Fox - thinks are usually very prompt there.

It was the first performance in Atlanta, so there were some sound/balance issues especially during the first 45 minutes. Often choral ensemble was clearly unbalanced with individual solos lost and individuals sticking out terribly in the opening choruses and some lines were distorted to the point that the line was completely missed. BUT . . . overall the show was wonderfully entertaining and well worth the ticket price and more.

With three children ranging in age from 9 to 3, we are always looking for shows and events that will keep each of them entertained. This Grinch Musical does just that. All three were thoroughly immersed in the entire production and spent a good part of it on the edge of their seats. The cast was spot on and the effects were every high quality - loved the snow falling into the theater! Our family came away from this show feeling thoroughly entertained. And the DPAC lived up, as always, to being a great venue to come to.

I couldn't ask for more support or better seats for my 8 year old grandson. The production was captivating and beautifully done! It's wonderful to have quality performances to take him to. The lowered lights and sound were perfect! Support of the Autism Society volunteers and the quite room was very helpful too. While the facility and musical was great, the experience was lessened due to the behavior of some in attendance. It was not the children but rather the adults, some of whom were visibly and audibly intoxicated, constantly checking their phones, or talking to one another.

Overall I thought the production was good. I sat in the nosebleed section and paid $40 but I would say it was probably worth the $25 seats. Pros: Loved Cindy Lou - she has a phenomenal voice and did such a great job! Loved the older Max - when he sang "Your a Mean One Mr. Grinch" I was awed at how he sounded just like what you hear when you hear the actual song. It blew me away. The Grinch was good as well. Love his interaction with Cindy Lou. Love the refrigerator and how the fireplace actually sucked things into it. Loved how the production got the audience to interact with the singing. Cons: The Grinch costume - It didn't appear that the actor had any thing other than green paint on his face (but that could have been because we were so high up). The puppets - that was a little weird. I've never seen puppets in a production other than the Muppets. I get what they were trying to bring across but it was just weird. It was a good show but probably wouldn't pay to see it again.

A mother and daughter tradition to take in a play once a year! It was our first time going at Christmas time. Our thursday evening Grinch play was so festive, fun and enjoyable. The cast did a great job even had the audience sing the "Your a mean one Mr. Grinch" song, blowing faux snow in to audience and the end shooting streamers in the audience! It was too short as we were enjoying it so much.

Took the kids to see the Grinch at Fox Theater...we had a great experience. The plays does not have intermission...it goes on for 90 minutes straight. This proved to be too much for the adults and most of my row were asleep...the kids were all eyes though! There were not any concessions during the play, so get them before the show starts. The show was really creative in the story telling and the effects were surprisingly well done. The Grinch character was very engaging for the audience and there was some audience participation for the kids. I would recommend to take the kids to see this at least once while they are elementary school aged...

It was pretty good. It added humor and some audience participation. My 4 year old loved it. I wish it had more songs from the actually movie but their songs were good. It was about 1.5 hours long. Could of been a bit shorter. Don't be rude and show up late to the show. We dealt with late comers for the first 20 minutes of the show. So we missed the beginning. I took my daughter and granddaughter (age 7) to this show for a girl's day out. We had so much fun seeing it at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. The show was funny and true to the original with some other modern jokes thrown in. The actor playing the Grinch was wonderful! Loved the costumes of the Whos - just as I pictured it. We got a ticket for the Fox Garage when we purchased our tickets for the show. $15 is a great deal to park in Detroit. However, the lines to get into the garage were long and wound around the block. We would have liked to have been a little earlier but made it in plenty of time. I would suggest that you plan on getting to this venue earlier than you think you should in order to have time to park and get settled. Overall, a great experience!

The show was ok at best, the first half just had too much singing and dancing with the Who's. Our kids are in their teens and none of us enjoyed it that much, I could see little kids would enjoy it though. For adults it would need an adaptation with some more substance.

The play was wonderful. My youngest daughters first time at the Fox. Unfortunately the adults were the problem, arriving late ,moving around during the performance. I just wish the ushers would have closed the doors and stopped seating people as this was a major disruption. Continued to seat people almost to the end. This was not my first play and every play I have been you were expected to be seated by curtain.i do understand this was also for children but again the children were just fine it was the parents. All in all it was worth the 2.5 hour drive to attend. Great Saturday afternoon, money well spent.

We loved the costumes and stage sets. The sound was a bit off. At first I felt like it was prerecorded. It may have been just the sound system. Although a family show and children are expected, a good rule of thumb should be no kids under four years old. If your child is still drinking from a bottle and can not sit through a movie at home, he/she probably can't sit through a show at the theater. It isn't an inexpensive event for anyone.

The Grinch is a classic, I was confused why there wasn t some of the original songs and famous lines I look forward to hearing from The Grinch. They let people in after the show began and this made it VERY distracting to the audience who was there on time for the performance. The lady in front of us was taking pictures with her flash ON and recording with her phone in the air and when we asked her to please stop because it was extremely distracting she used fowl language and gave us the finger! When we got security to help us with the uncomfortable situation, THEY DID NOTHING! Mind you, she had a child on her lap and we also had a young children with us. I m am extremely disappointed and appalled at this situation. A night out our family looked forward for a month turned into a night no one enjoyed.

I thought that the play itself was good - and would certainly recommend it for anyone that has not seen it. The girl that played Cindy Who was amazing. I was however, disappointed in the Fox - I love the theater itself, however, am always amazed at the number of people who arrive to the show late (and then are still seated). Maybe I am old school, but I was always under the impression that I needed to be in my seat when a play was starting - apparently, that is no longer the case. I was also extremely disappointed in the number of people who were on their cell phones, texting, etc., throughout the performance. And also the number of people who talked throughout the performance. Apparently theater etiquette has changed. There certainly are enough ushers working at the Fox that it would seem that some of this could be controlled.

While my children are not diagnosed with autism or other sensory disorder, I am so grateful for a sensory-sensitive show for my kids. Some of the bright lights and loud noises of a non-adjusted show would have overwhelmed them. They didn't notice anything missing (nor did we parents). We were also so incredibly moved by the supportive and attentive community of medical professionals who volunteered before, during, and after the show to make sure it was a wonderful morning for families with special needs. Thank you SO much for doing this show, and we really hope you do more like it in the future. As for the performance of the Grinch itself, it was wonderful. Excellent, talented cast. Obviously this is geared toward a younger audience, but I took my wife to see it with a couple of friends. We are all in our mid 20s. All four of us basically agreed with the performance. The play itself doesn't have a spectactual moment or song. There isn't an especially well done costume or stage design. Not that the songs or design were bad, they were just average for a performance like this. With that said, the play is built to be funny and it delivered fairly well in that regard. Very few of the characters were just purely funny, but their lines and delivery were well done. The two people that play the dog Max are important to the story and add to the humor; however, the entire experience depends almost entirely on the performance of the guy playing the grinch. If he isn't funny, then the play isn't funny and is really dull. Obviously, everyone's definition of funny is a little different, but in our experience the guy playing the grinch was very good and appeared to be really enjoying himself. On a side note, we were fortunate enough to sit at the front where I was able to look down over the orchestra pit. I really enjoyed watching these individuals play their different instruments. These people vary widely with different performances, but the people at our performance were very good and I enjoyed their music a lot. I would recommend this show for anyone with kids as well as adults who enjoy the grinch story and a goofy style comedy/musical.

I try to bring my grandson on many different adventures. Charlie is 12 now, so I was a bit apprehensive bringing him to this show. He was mezmerized with the energy and color of the show and was not too old to think the Grinch was awesome. Thanks ! Allison

We attended as a group of 7, which included 4 adults and 3 children (ages 4, 6, 6). Everyone loved the performance. The sound was super, the Grinch was hilarious and engaging, and the DPAC was delightful as always. The costumes and the sets were just perfect and awesome. The snow that was piped OUTSIDE as you were leaving the venue was an especially nice touch! Highly recommend!

We took our 12 year old and her friend. The musical was comical but not a great storyline. I expected it to be better. The Grinch actor was good!

Beyond my expectations. I first noticed how great the costumes were. The songs were catchy, the scenery outstanding. The actor who played the Grinch was fabulous as was the actor who played old Max. Audience interaction was unique. I loved everything about it.

Awesome show for all ages! My 5 year old sat riveted through the entire performance. Also, the length of the show was perfect--90 minutes with no intermission.

We took our just turned four year old to see this and had to get seat in the top of the balcony on section 9 row M. We had a great view of the stage and while it would have been nice to be closer by all means, we had a great time and he stayed with the play until the end focused. The Grinch interacted with the audience and it really was worth seeing even if the seats were not that close to the stage.

I didn't think my 13 year old could go an hour and a half with out texting or taking a selfie but this show kept her and I captivated entirely. The sets were marvelous and the acting was spot on. The guy who played the Grinch stole the show, he was perfect! A must see for the season
