New England Black Wolves

New England Blackwolves should be front and center on your list of great family fun. The game is fast paced and exciting. Scores run fairly high (15-20) or so. This keeps each quarter very exciting. It's basically like hockey but faster and more exciting. Fan engagement stays high and it seems the team really appreciates them. During breaks there are some great side events. The wing eating contest could use a tune up but what that lacks the cheer leaders help add pizazz. Before and after games kids can meet the team and get autographs and take selfies! I think the team really loves the kids enthusiasm. Highly recommend the 4-pack of tickets. It's s great discount in the world of really expensive sports tickets. This actually is an affordable family friendly event!! We have already recommended it to friends and will continue.

Fast paced action. Got to see some excellent lacrosse skills. Crowd was into it. Music played the whole time, which was fun. Had a great time. Already planning on going back.

The event was very fan friendly. Music, games, prizes and a hockey like atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

It was a nail biter. The Black Wolves started okay, but seemed to run out of energy for awhile and the momentum was definitely with the other team. The Black Wolves clawed their way back, coming within one point and then answered several goals that got threw with goals of their own. Finally they went ahead and stayed with the opponent, almost pulling out the win in regulation time, but two attempts fell short. Within a few moments of stealing the ball in overtime, they dramatically scored and won in sudden death overtime! The fans appreciated the team members' actions at the end of the game to show their appreciation for staying with them. Aside from the overly loud music (which nonetheless was presented much more smoothly than it had been at the last game we attended), it was a very exciting and fun experience for both the adults and children attending. We missed the regular emcee, but the announcer did an admirable job covering for him!

Mohegan Sun Arena is a great venue for games, views from all seats are very good. The black wolves lacrosse teams games are fun and action packed. It s like a rock concert with a sports event center stage. We ha e brought different friends each time and they all have had nothing but great things to say about the sport of indoor box lacrosse!

First time seeing major league indoor lacrosse....awesome game, intense action and a lot of fun...looking forward to going again.

Indoor lacrosse is becoming more popular, for a good reason! High energy fun game, great for kids and as a family outing! And they got cheerleaders,too ;-) I plan to purchase a mini-plan next season. Definitely recommended!

This was an excellent, fast passed game. Kept you excited the whole time. Great time for all ages!

We can't wait to go back to a Black Wolves game. Hard hitting, fast action and great music. If you are going to purchase tickets DO NOT purchase tickets in rows C,D or E behind the team benches. The players and coaches will block your view and you have to watch most of the game on the big screen. If you are purchasing tickets for the opposite side of the arena you will be fine. The fist row is level with the top of the protection wall for a great view.

The game was good but the DJ should take music down a notch and not play it constantly. It's good to hear what's going on down on the floor.

The game was great!! The Black Wolves rocked it!! Game had a close score throughout the majority of it but then the Black Wolves just soared in the end\u2026pounding goals after goals! My son loves lacrosse and is a goalie in high school and we couldn't get enough of watching the Black Wolves great teamwork! We also wanted to acknowledge the goalie Kirk with having so many saves! CONGRATS BLACK WOLVES!! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT GAME & SEASON!!

Great night out! Lot's of action with the team. Only thing that I didn't like is that the music was really loud, you couldn't even talk to the person next to you.

I am a former college lax player, and took one of my daughters, who plays lax in High School to the game last week. It was great game, and we had a wonderful time. However, the constant really loud and obnoxious music playing diminished the experience. You can't hear the hits, can't hear the refs, can't hear the players talking to each other on the field. My daughter, who has a pretty good understanding of the game, was constantly asking me what was going on. I think you underestimate the intelligence of your customers by thinking they can't get into the game without the blasting music. This is unfortunate. You make an effort to explain the nuances of the game by running the ticker overhead with explanations of lax terms, and handing out flyers doing the same. People would learn the game really fast if they could see and hear the action on the field. Too bad this is the program.

I am a big lacrosse fan and I have watched the NLL on TV but nothing can compare to seeing this sport live. It is lacrosse played on a field the size of a hockey rink. Music is being played the entire time. The goalies are bigger and padded up but the goals are smaller. The players never stop running, dodging and hitting each other and there are fights and crushing checks. My 9 year old son who plays lacrosse was sold in the first minute of play and after the game he got autographs from players. He met his favorite player at a restaurant in the casino where they mingle and greet fans. We will be back soon.

Loved the game. Great energy. Recommend the refs have a better mic and that you use a t-shirt gun to shoot shirts into the crowd.

Good crowd, fan friendly, good for kids with NO fights. Talented players with the ball, and it moved faster than I have seen at any lacrosse event. Tough to figure out what is a penalty very physical. Organizers made it fun and interesting for all. Good guys won (Black Wolves) 15-11.

The game was amazing! So much fun. Everyone would enjoy it. Mohegan Sun is a complicated facility to navigate. We didn't know where to park and the only lot we could find easily was a 20 min walk from the arena. There were no signs pointing us to the arena until 10 min into the walk. We had to ask the coat check how to get there.

Wow what a game. I am a big hockey and lacrosse fan this is a little bit of both. With the nonstop action and the hockey rules you can't beat it, only made it to a few of the games this season and I am hooked, I am trying to buy my season tickets for next year.

These guys are trying to figure out how to put on an event. It started out so awkward with the emcee...the whole thing was weird and awkward. Music plays the entire time which was annoying to start but the action is so fast not sure what else you could do. The second half was much better and I actually was happy for the emcee when the crowd answered his prompting of "DEFENSE...DEFENSE"...he had been trying all game! my entire family, all lax players, said they would like to return and we are even thinking about season tickets. Action is fast and the quality is great...and the fact that Billy O'Brien could drop gloves at any given moment doesn't hurt either!

What a great and perfectly organized event. I was very impressed with Mohegan Sun and how good the lacrosse was. Black Wolves record does not represent how good they are. Looking forward to the next game as we are now dedicated fans!

Very fast and lots of exciting action! Rules are very much like hockey.

We had a nice family night. The game had us wanting more. This was our second time there. We will go again.

Best thing for Connecticut since we lost the Whalers. Fast pace and non stop action. Very competitive team.Need better marketing to get arena filled for every game. Only negative is the guy on the mic,very annoying. GO WOLVES!!!!!!!!!

The game was great! Non stop action\u2026just wish Black Wolves won! I would've given the event 5 stars but I wasn't aware of fire show in the beginning and we missed the whole start of the event because of snow conditions. We loved the game just wish we were aware of the fire show prior to the start of the event.

Fast paced game, lots of excitement and a great time for people of all ages. The crowd stays involved, never a dull moment and they even give you information about the rules in case you don't know much about the game (like me!). I would totally go again!

The seats and game were wonderful..There was an issue with the buzzer in our end that wasn't wonderful. It was stuck on for several minutes multiple times, taking a bit away from the game.

Action packed! Fast moving!! Loved it!! Worth every cent. Will be going to alot mire games!!

The BoxLAX game was very good, however, the environment was awful!!!! Loud music was played throughout the game and the PA was equally loud. Both were a major distraction. This may be the norm for BoxLAX and/or the Casino but I would discourage anybody that just wanted to watch a Lacrosse game to not do it at Mohegan Sun. My observation is based on attending more than 1000 Lacrosse games over the last 40 years, ranging from High School to College to Pro. This was the only one I ever looked forward to ending.

Arena was very nice. The announcement of goals was very slow, at times 2 goals were scored before the announcement was made which was confusing. There seems to be some work that needs to be done with the cameras and replays. But considering it was the first game in the arena, it was understandable. It also was odd that all the performances were facing in the opposite direction of the seats. Over all it was a great experience. We will definitely be making the trip again.

Great game, fast paced. Affordable family fun. We are going back again for sure.
