I bought ten tickets to support my nephew. He is a freshman. I've seen him play on tv, this is my first time seeing him play live. I brought my family. It was great we rode a roller coaster of emotions as the lead changed. He won and we saw him after tok picks and congratulated him for his success. We saw Liberty player Essence Carson #17 Guard/Forward. She was friendly and my daughter and nieces are going to attend a few games. Ps Thank you Jared Jefferies , I'm a big knick fan!

The most electrifying experience i have had in my terms of watching sports. i do wish that there were specific designated sections for each team during ticket sales. there were far too many fights and as a syracuse fan i was being harased by michigan state fans. kind of took away from the experience.

Gonzaga is a typical soft left coast team. In no way where they ready for what Villanova gave them defensively. Converesely the zags are awful defensively and if Nova doesn't miss a ton at the rim and shoot poorly at the stripe they would have scored 100 and won by 30. Gonzaga was never a threat after the initial tip. They should stick to their weak conference, Villanova is a national title contender with 2 POY candidates

Good match ups Quality teams, Good classic college basketball, its really good to see Big 12 and Pac 10 teams here in the east so we can gauge how the Bug East teams match up. Garden renovations are looking good

There were two very good basketball games featuring 4 solid Division I schools. So from an event standpoint, it was fine. The atmosphere was a bit weak, mostly because of the small crowd which became even smaller after the first game when most of the Villanova fans chose to leave and that being the closest to a local school, it had the largest fan representation. This made the incessant piped in music all the more intolerable. Also, there were way too many long time outs which dragged out the evening so that the last game did not conclude until shortly before 12AM. I suspect that ESPN commercials added to the duration of time outs. First game should start at 6:15PM which at least would assure ending closer to 11 and allows for people traveling from outside Manhattan the time to get home at a reasonable hour. The partially renovated Garden is nicer (grime has not had time to sink it). Food options are better, but lines appeared very long. Ticket prices were about 20% too high

Four good teams again with a sellout crowd this year. Kansas always travels well and the 'cuse. Well, it's NYC, they always show up at the garden. On top of everything it's for a great cause. Let's get WVU in it next year!

I think Madison Square Garden could do a lot more with the event. I mean people are coming from all over the country to see their college teams play at the world famous MSG, and their only entertainment is to watch audience members dance to worn out songs. They can see that at home. The draw is to see your team in an NBA arena, they should pump up the artistry, the music, and the entertainment.

MSU vs. Syracuse was an excellent game. The Kansas vs. Memphis game was a little less amazing. The crowd wasn't into it as much as the second game.

Jimmy Valvano was an amazing guy who lived life to the fullest, even when he knew that he didn't have long to live. That speech he made at the ESPN awards in 1994 will go down in sports history as one of the greatest motivational performances of all time. To attend an event named for him was truly an honor; to watch Kansas beat Memphis....that was just icing on the cake. Syracuse did themselves proud by beating Michigan State also. It was a great night of college basketball!

The teams that played were loaded with talent. Both games enjoyable. My seats were fine. For a NYC event they were reasonably priced. I wanted better seats and would have paid for them but got shut out by the requirements for early purchase.

The Great thing about the event was the Jimmy V tapped speec at half time . THE WORST PART WAS THE KANSAS FANS SMOKING ON THE STAIRS--and letting the usher know who did not seem to care. So much wrong with this--think about it we are at a basketball classic raising money and awareness for CANCER. also in todays day and age the usher should be a little concerned about smoking in the stairway

What can I say.... for $ 21 two games featuring 4 top 20 teams, three of which were top ten...!!! What an incredible bargain for the college basketball lover. As a Kansas alum the opportunity to see my guys out east was a can't miss event....The only thing that was lacking were the school bands....it kinda took away from the college atmosphere and traditions, I'd have liked that. But overall I'll go to this event every year!

The two games were great!! I love the Jimmy V Classic. The staff was very helpful in finding our seats and there were plenty of concession options. The view from our seats was great but we were in the last row of the section and it was very cold due to some kind of a draft, I was forced to wear my jacket for the entire event. Also, a fight broke out and I was very disappointed in how long it took security to come over and break it up.

Was excited for 20th row until a 6'6 guy sat in front of me ... floor seating is not stadium style so if your short don't sit court side u won't be able to see anything .. the ticket guy found my friends and I different seats a section away only 2 rows behind us that allowed me to see the entire game I paid for .. however I spent $35 extra a ticket to not see

Of course I enjoyed it more because my MD team won, but reasonably priced tickets, good seats, competent staff, well organized, even if UConn fans were a bit obnoxious (before game even started!). Nothing to be ashamed of, not sure ANY team could beat MD when they are playing on all cylinders.

Our seats were great and for a great price. We went for the Maryland/UConn game only. When we got a UVA fan was in one of our seats, but the quickly moved over and said people had been moving around the game before, which I totally understand as most people probably go mainly for one game and not both.

The two games itself were excellent. You had 4 of the top teams in the NCAA playing. The biggest problem was from the seats you could not see the other basket. You also could not see the score board either to see how much time and/or the score.

Heartbreaking as a Pitt alumni to watch two FTs go missed i nthe final second to lose and then to see my bestfriend's alma mater lose to Florida. If I knew this and the snow event I wouldn't have spent 3 1/2 hours through disgusting slow traffic in snow to get to MSG but since we never know, I'll keep coming back if the price is reasonable!!

The no running on the court rule is a good rule. I applaud it. The no firearms allowed inside rule is a good rule. Thank you MSG for stepping up your security. I appreciate it. But I'm wondering why you told me that I couldn't bring Kosher food inside the arena, if you didn't plan on serving kosher food that evening? Rules are fine, and I'm happy to comply, but in this case, your rule served no purpose. I'm not buying non kosher food, simply because that is all you have. I'm going to wait until the game is over. You want to get me for $7 a soda, or $10.50 a beer, find a me. But I can't make exceptions with food. Not because you have a "policy". When I spoke with guest services, I was told to reach out to Mrs.Berner. I'm curious to see if she reads this post, and if she is at all interested in changing the Garden's policy, or at least in this case, changing it so that it at the very least makes sense.

JIMMYVFAN
Let me begin by stating that I am an NC State graduate (Class of 1986). Needless to say Jimmy V holds a special part of my heart. In the Spring of my freshman year the team led by Jim Valvano went on a pretty special ride in the NCAA Tournament as I am sure most all reading this may be aware culminating in a very improbable National Championship. I live in New York now and every year I make a point to attend the Jimmy V Classic at MSG since its inception many years ago. The last couple of years the attendance figures at the games (doubleheader) have gotten ridiculously smaller and smaller, to the point this year of it being pretty disgraceful. I am not sure who is in charge of scheduling the participants in this tournament, but whoever it is they need to take notice if they haven't already done so!!! This year the four schools were University of Missouri, Villanova, University of Washington, and Marquette. On the surface, all four of these programs are decent basketball programs. With two Big East schools involved, Villanova and Marquette, I would have thought they would have a decent fan base at the game. Apparently, I was wrong! The Garden was empty! They need to bring some teams back to this tournament that will fill the arena! Attendence was a joke for this tournament recognizing Jimmy V and a very worthy charity, the V Foundation.
