Suicide Silence

Suicide Silence

Unlike many of their deathcore peers, Suicide Silence has never tempered their pummeling attack with anything but more pummeling. They don’t wink at the audience, they haven’t turned to mind-bending technicality, and they don't throw gimmicks on their sound to sell tickets. This kind of single-minded performance and attention to self-improvement is what has garnered them two Golden God awards for “Most Innovative Band” and “Best New Talent.” Squealing guitars, frequent tempo changes and punishing breakdowns are all driven forward by Mitch Lucker’s increasingly impressive and controlled voice.

The show in its entirety was amazing. The opening act oceano was brutal and within the first two songs I had already been busted open under and above my right eye however that didn't hinder me in any way whatsoever. The energy of both the performing artists and crowd was infectious and kept me going all the way through. Hands down easily one of the best concerts I've ever attended.

Never been to the Reverb before, but after going i found that the sound was not to bad considering the low ceiling, and ok sound system. Not a flying line array deal here, but overall they had the sound dialed in and was better than some shows with top notch equipment that was all out of wack. The bands put on a rather good performance even in the small club, the crowd was good, beers cheap and the venue was only 1/2 hr away, so overall I give it 4 stars.
