My boyfriend loves Jim and so do I. We ve seen his Netflix specials and loved them. We were kinda expecting some of those jokes to be used again. They weren t. It was INCREDIBLE. Better than I had hoped (and I was expecting a lot). Every joke was new. He connected with the audience and did some improve too. You have to have a good sense of humor to enjoy him. Best comedy show I ve ever seen.

This was my first time seeing Jefferies and I was not disappointed. He command laughs from the second he walked on stage to the time he walked off. He interacted with the audience directly and appeared to go off on a hilarious tangent for about 15 minutes kicked off my a gentlemen's reaction to a docking joke. If you are familiar with Jefferies' material and are a fan, do not miss an opportunity to see him live! For those that are not familiar, check out his stuff on Netflix or YouTube before you spend the money. He is not for the faint of heart! The venue was adequate, the majority of seating consists of folding chairs laid out on a level floor. Not a lot of elbow room, especially for the larger members of the population.

It's been a long time since I've seen a show at the Showbox, but my husband and I are both fans of Jim Jefferies and were very much looking forward to seeing him. However, the crowd at the showbox was so obnoxious we missed most of his set due to many in the audience talking OVER him. What I heard was great, and Jim clearly is great at improv too since he couldn't complete his set due to the lame douchebag crowd. This will be the last show I see at the Showbox. I hope Jim comes back to the area, but hopefully next time to the Paramount or the Moore or really any eastside venue where there aren't so many pretentious wannabes.

Opening acts were shit. Especially the second comic. Headliner was fabulous, but speaker placement made him hard to hear at times (we were seated on the left-side bar if you were facing the stage). Really appreciated the numbered coaster "system" for early arrivals in the adjoing bar space.

Drove up from Canada to see Jim @ Fine Line Music Cafe (great venue and staff!)... well worth the trip! Not only did he perform for almost 2 full hours, he did not repeat his HBO or internet material. All new, all raunchy and hilarious! He met with anyone who wanted a pic or autograph at the end of the show and was very tolerant of us... hahaha! Thanks for a great evening!

Jim did very little repeat material from his HBO show. Most was brand new and equally brilliant. Never a dull moment. At the end, he sat down and engaged the crowd, took questions and was just as hilarous even though he was flying by the seat of his pants. This guy is quickly making a name for himself as a top-notch comic and for good reason.

Jim's show was amazing. He does one of the best sets of comedy out there for those who love crude humor and aren't offended by jokes that are just stories. Not for the timid and upset and perfect for the young at heart with a sense of humor. He is completely honest and down-to-earth, interacting with the audience by answering their encouraged responses, actually running well past his allotted time just to keep the fun going! He even is cool enough to make up new jokes and laugh at his old ones. He is one of the best and an extremely good night out.
Australian comedian Jim Jeffries played the Trocadero in Philadelphia bringing his irreverant and foul comedy to the stage the minute he took the mic in his hand...and in his other hand, his signature cold beer. For fans like me, who are most familiar with him from his HBO stand up special 'I Swear to God', Jeffries performed beyond expectations. Most of the show saw Jim debuting new material, as well as some of the highlights of the special. Going well beyond the 50 minutes he was contracted for, Jim entertained the crowd for close to 90 minutes...ad libbing and doing crowd work for 15 minutes...Jeffries is up there with the best Ive ever seen live
It was hilarious!!! There were some moments that were may be slightly off and I didn t understand..... but the improve was amazing!!! It s hard to do the things that he did and still be funny. Would go see him again if he ever comes around Chicago!
Jim Jeffries show was super funny. I was laughing out loud almost constantly. So was everyone around me. His humor is a bit crude and vulgar so you can't be the type that offends easily. My husband and I loved the show and will definitely see him again.Plus the Rialto Theatre in Joliet was perfect. Easy to find parking and just about every seat is a good one. If you have a chance to go to the Rialto or to see Jim Jeffries do it. You won't be disappointed.
Opening act was so-so and had his moments. Jefferies had a good set despite not really speaking about the gun issues he is known for. I love his work and have watched his specials so I am familiar with his material. Best thing about him is he always has fresh material.

Jim's humor was too low and too vulgar. Explaining why he likes blind people and dislikes deaf people just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. And that's not to mention his extensive discussion of various human excretions. Other than that, he really made me laugh. My seat in a middle row, next to the mix stage, left me barely able to see the man on the stage, and I had to watch most of the show from the big screens above it. It makes you feel you can watch this at home with the same experience.

I ve listened to him for many years now. I wasn t surprised at the language or topic. Was expecting it. The level of anger and sheer volume of vulgarity surprised me. A bit boring as he focused much of the show on sexual tendencies and himself. Obviously not a fan of political messages in the comedy shows I pay for but thankfully he kept that to a minimum.

We had really high expectations - granted, we were in Thackerville, Oklahoma. The venue, Winstar Casino, was gross (nothing can be done about that, though). His opening act was not very good at all. His routine was just okay. It was obvious he didn't want to be there. He joked about deaf people, blind people, fat people, ugly people, and even uncircumcised people. I'm really not one to be easily offended, and it wasn't that bad....it was just boring. Big disappointment. My husband liked him, though. The guy next to me hated him. Overall, just okay. Not worth the drive, or the money, or the clothes we had to burn afterward because of the casino funk.

The show was amazing, Jim delivered. However, the venue was awful. It was my first experience at the Spreckels Theatre and I did not know where to go so I asked and more than one staff member was annoyed that I asked. After we sat down, we were bothered numerous times DURING the show to see if we were in the right seats. After pulling my ticket out three times, I refused to do so the fourth time as I was missing part of the show. Not to mention that they decided to put the bar at the entrance so you can't get through to the theatre without going through a crowd. So unorganized and dusty. Never again will I go there.

Mr. Jefferies is at once: beyond heavy handed and dark, and painfully vulnerable, endearing and almost drowning in insight. Brilliant, brave, brash--taking swipes at stupid stuff that people do, and with equal enthusiasm--taking swipes at himself. It all ties together as the very relatable human condition and you might not like where he goes...but at some point, if you're honest, you'll realize you've been there, too. So grateful to have stumbled onto this gifted Comic. Other comics I like are : George Carlin, Robin Williams, Damon Wayans, David Spade, Bobcat Goldthwaite, Bob Shaw, Richard Lewis, Lewis Black, Ricky Gervais, Russel Brand, Trae Crowder (and the Liberal Redneck line up-the WellRed crew Drew and Corey), Chris Rock...and Sam Kinneson, God rest his soul...who for some reason this kid puts me in mind of. Power to the Aussies! Don't know if he's a Crow Eater, Top Ender or a Banana Bender but he's good stuff and I look forward to seeing more of him.

The show was wicked awesome. Jim is hysterical. He is able to improvise and become interactive with the audience. And we were able to ring in the new year singing the Cheers theme song and the flintstones theme song with Jim leading the chorus. The venue was rough though. The seating was weird and awkward. We were squished against people we didn't know. Some people had their back to the stage. I'm sue they were just trying to cram as many people in as possible but I probably won't go back to the Wilbur.

Jim Jefferies is a brilliant stand-up comic. His show was hilarious. There were lots of improvised moments as the crowd got more drunk and started yelling out stupid stuff. At one point, he heard a child in the audience. Someone brought their four-year-old and he ripped on them throughout the show. I had a great time and the VIP meet-and-greet photo opportunity was totally worth the money. I will definitely be going to see him again when he's in the area.

I have been a Jim Jefferies fan for years and this was my first chance to see him live. This show brought all new material and classic Jim Jefferies delivery. He is a great story teller and great observationalist. He doesn't care who he offends when stating his point of view and he is right on the mark with his comments whether they be about politics, relationships, sex or any other number of topics. You may not agree with everything he says but will laugh anyway because of the way he tells them.

He was on stage for almost 2 hours and we laughed the entire time! He was totally inapropriate and entertaining!
This was his 2nd show of the night. I do believe he put down a healthy number of adult beverages between shows. This made for a fun rambling show. He can be somewhat offensive yet insightful in his routine. Had some really funny things he said about Trump and took down a heckler with amazing ease and yet seemed to be genuine in giving this guy real life lessons and advice. Was all new material to me. Enjoyed the show and would recommend it to anyone that isn't too uptight in need of a laugh. Chicago theater great old venue and very easy to hear everything without issue. Thanks for the laughs Jim!
I have really enjoyed his previous stand up specials. I bought tickets in March to see his December show. I had plenty of time to get my hopes up too high and be disappointed. I wasn't. He delivered all new material with the same brilliance as before. Opening act was also very entertaining. The entire show was fantastic. The only drawback was; being 5'11 made me too tall for the Wilbur Theater seating.
This was my first time seeing jim live. I'm a fan of his show legit and his comedy specials. He had an opener who was pretty good but kept getting interrupted by the crowd. Once jim came out it was an amazing experience. He told over 2 hours worth of jokes and stories that were all hilarious and involved a lot of smart social commentary. He riffed with the audience quite a bit and it was hard to tell what was a planned part of his act and what was great improvisation on his part. I've seen a lot of live comedy over the years including names like Dave chappelle John Oliver mike birbiglia aziz ansari amy schumer. This might be the best comedy show I've ever been to. Just be aware that his material isn't afraid to cover really controversial issues so if you're sensitive to topics involving religion, politics and gender roles it might not be for you.
I love going to The National; it's hung in there through every economic and physical change a neighborhood can get, and seems like it has come out on top. The staff is unfailingly courteous, acoustics are phenomenal for an older theatre, the place is clean, and the beer is reasonable. Jim Jeffries is a departure from the mid-rated bands they normally host, but I was thrilled when the announcement was made. We had excellent seats, and I was weeping from laughter by the time he finished, almost 90 minutes worth of brilliant tirade. One of the best bits was a spontaneous jab at 4 conspicuously absent front row patrons, who arrived late, and were accused by Jeffries of being stoned. They barely protested, making them the perfect target for his sardonic harangue, and the rest of the house was rolling. Jeffries met, signed autographs, and took photos with every single guest. He is known for his non-stop misogyny, and felt compelled to remind the audience that everything he says is "A JOKE" He shouldn't worry, his jests are hilarious, and us girls can spot a sweetheart when we see one.
Amazing show. Great material and awesome guy. A fire alarm went off in the middle of the show and are up like 30 mins stage time. The amazing part is that throughout the whole thing Jim had the crowd dying of laughter. Inside jokes about the venue, about Jersey and the sound guy and audience made the night. Opening act was out at 9, Jim was out by 9:30 and wasn't off the stage till 11:45. 10/10 would see again.
Jim jefferies is the funniest comedian around for awhile now. Also is the best entertainer in the country. And hands down best bang for the buck... I would see him every weekend.
Jim's performance was brilliant. His opening act was great as well. This is the hardest I've laughed in a long time.

By the time our venue was to start, he was still on stage with the first audience. They had to kick them out for us to get in. He was hilarious with both new and old material as well as interacting with the audience during and after the show. I loved every minute of it. His material on guns has grown and he has stated he's been working on an entire bit revolving around his philosophy on guns and gun owners. I caught the second show he did at the Variety Theatre, GA. He entertained the first show for so long they had to kick the audience out so our show could begin. Naturally by then he's had his fair share of drinks all around and seemed more interested in interacting with the audience which made a more entertaining experience. A few repeat jokes, a bunch of new ones, and he was willing to sign my hat and copies of DVDs post-show. This is the second show of his I have seen and am trying to get to his show in March for the Milwaukee showing as a follow up.

Jim is a great comic with a foul mouth. He doesn't mind talking to the crowd and went for about an hour and 30 minutes even though he was booked for a 45minute set. I got the chance to get in the building early because of a friend with connections and I was literally standing next to Jim at the bar before the doors opened. There's no doubt Jefferies is one of the most gifted contemporary comedians, granted he keeps his material fresh and his signature drunken on-stage delivery. He retains control over the audience despite cultural differences and the occasional ignorant heckler. I would prefer Showbox introduce the main event without the wannabe upstart comedian looking to break out. Maybe it helps if the warm-up is lackluster to say the least. Jim more than made up for it though, and I would go see this guy in Siberia.

Everything I had hoped for. Jim continues to be relevant, controversial, edgy, sincere, inappropriate and most times dead on with his humor. He is a master at story telling, one liners, non sequiturs and improv. Absolutely hilarious...the only thing that kept us from seeing him again a few nights later in Thousand Oaks, is we were already booked. Must see.

Jim Jeffries is the funniest and wittiest guy out there. This was an amazing show and had us in hysterics the whole time.

Jim Jeffries was soooo funny. He was unscripted and spent more time with the audience than I expected - both roasting certain members and elongating the show. The performance was really great!

This was a great show. I was admittedly surprised that this was the venue chosen, but it was a nice place and served its purpose. As for Jim, I was so happy he blasted the audience for being late, because seriously.. having to start almost an hour late because people can't get their crap together and be courteous? You did them a favor Jim. The length of the show was definitely worth the money, and quality was great. It was a good night.

Jim was awesome as well as his opening act. The sound system for a venue of that size was horrible! It did not work with the acoustic's of the theatre. It was loud enough. It wasn't a volume issue, it was a clarity problem, very poor. #disappointing!

It was very hard to understand what Jim was saying. First of all - his accent, and he didn't even speak to the microphone, microphone was always at the level of his waist. People in front of me were smoking weed the whole show, and they were laughing loudly for no reason. So I didn't get 80% of the show.

Worthwhile show, somewhat funny. Good opener. You have to be ready for his kind of comedy. But, if you are a true fan, this is not an issue.

This was my second time seeing Jim Jefferies live, & I have seen all of his specials & his shows, but I have to say this was by far his best performance yet. He always delivers fresh, hilarious material, but this performance was so much more! It was very intimate, ruthless, & witty beyond belief. His banter with the audience, untold stories, & quick wit absolutely made this show my favorite yet.

It was so hilarious. Jim Jefferies started with a Trump skit, and it was so hilarious that I teared up from laughing. His show was a mixture of raw sexual jokes to funny stories and experiences. I'm not usually a fan of vulgar jokes and topics but there was something different in the way he delivered the jokes. The timing was so good that all you can do is just laugh and laugh and laugh some more. I would've given the show 5 stars if not for the couple who brought their two kids at the show and making lots of noise. Who would bring kids to a comedy show where they'll be exposed to vulgar words??!

Jim Jefferies didn't disappoint. He was absolutely hilarious and handled a difficult crowd (noisy, lots of interruptions) very well. Will definitely see him again.
