Please park in secure parking spaces if you drive. It would have been nice if the employees had listened to their customers rather then talk to each other at food venders.
Orlando city will host the brazilian team Fluminense. Like a soccer fan, I cant not wait to see alive the best team from Brazil and 2 times brazilian champion of the last 3 years...
This was my first Orlando City Game. My wife was a big Soccor fan in the past and i have never follwed that much. We went and had a INCREDABLE time! we had great seats right on the player side close to the South Goal. TIP- For and over the top time try to seat in section 119-121. thats where the "real fans" sit. But don't sit there if you have small children..... they can get a bit rowdy.
I enjoyed the game. My issue is with the seating. When I got to my seat, there were several people already in the area. I was told by those occupying the seats that the entire section was general admission seating. I ended up getting a decent seat, but it was not the one I paid for. Also the seat was near one of the supporter's groups. Several of their songs/cheers included regular use of crude language. If you are planning on bringing a child to one of the games, do not sit in the end zone sections.
Orlando City Soccer was a fun night! the fans all wear red and purple, and the stadium is the perfect venue for this event. A small bit of euro soccer right here in Orlando
We played a man down after our goalie of the year was red-carded and won on penalty kicks. This was the most dramatic sporting event I have ever witnessed in person and pulled on so many emotions. These guys are the real deal!
There have been many events that I have attended at Citrus Cowl, but never have I been to sporting events that were filled with so much passion and enthusiasm for our team. I would recommend that every Central Florida sports fan take the time to attend at least one Orlando City game!
What we have here is where sport is going in Orlando. Orlando City has provided a high level of entertainment for its fans. It's time for more people to come and see what they're missing. A regular season soccer match only takes two hours. Period. And a playoff match where overtime is possible won't take longer than three hours. It won't be extended infinitely by dragged-out timeouts, at-bats or intentional fouls. Don't be fooled by the relatively small score lines. They come to play, and there is very little let-up in the action. As I write this, the Lions are advancing in the playoffs, and they have home-field, so the two possible remaining matches will be here. Give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.
Some of the "B" team players were in and they still crushed Harrisburg City, it's a fun atmosphere and cheap. Hopefully there will be more followers in the future!
Me and my daughter attended the Orlando City vs. Newcastle United (English Premier League) soccer game. It was great event and the best time I have ever had at the Florida Citrus Bowl. The only issue I have is the gate (only one that we were aware of) opened rather late. We got there early to enjoy the atmosphere but had to stand in line for 45 minutes or so. No big deal but it would have been better to be in the stadium during that time.
As a Newcastle United fan living in the US, the chances to see them live are few and far between. So this pre season game in Orlando was a change I couldn't miss. First the good stuff. The match itself went about as I expected with Newcastle looking a little rusty and disorganized against an Orlando side that was in giant killing mood. There where occasional glimpses of an EPL side but it looks like the manager has a long way to go to reorganize the side after the loss of some key players this year. Orlando created numerous chances and finally scored a deserved goal in the 76th minute to win the match. Now the bad stuff. While the Orlando Citrus bowl is a large stadium, it feels like it was put together by a badly run committee and then run by that same group. Parking is poor around the stadium and was not helped by the organizer's pushing car's into only one area at a time until that area was full, then getting everyone to move along to the next area. To be fair the stadium does not look like it's in the best part of town but for a stadium that size the parking was really poor. And then came the queues outside the ticket office and entrance of several thousand people, some of whom where still getting into the game 30 minutes into the first half. Again to be fair this was by far the largest crowd they have ever had before by around 3000-4000 fans but they could have been better prepared knowing the following behind Newcastle United. One final point, I was not impressed by the so called Orlando City fans, who demonstrated their lack of intelligence by throwing streamers onto the pitch around the goal throughout the entire matching causing halts to the game and no doubt annoying the grounds staff who had to continuously clean up. Not to mention to mention their idea of a chant against another team which consisted of the F word followed Newcastle repeated endlessly. Only interspersed with chants of USA, for which I didn't realize this was an international match between countries, I figured it was between to clubs. Oh well, these so called fans crude chants where inappropriate given the number of young children there to watch a local team play an EPL team.
The game was fun and it was nice to see a europe base team and to see there talent. the citrus bowl was so unprepair and under staff for this game is was a shame. i will never go back and if this is how orlando is trying to attract more fans for soccer good luck.
I did not really know what to expect when I went to my first Orlando City game. The whole experience was fantastic and I definitely want to keep going back! First the quality of soccer was much better than I expected. A lot of people might be turned off by watching a "minor league" soccer team, but this USL-Pro side, I thought, held up very well against a middle-tier Premier League team. Very impressed and I could see why they are in first place. The fans are very chill. The general admission section is pretty full, but you still have plenty of space to sit down and just relax and watch the game. The cheering sections are great and provides a good mix of the passion other teams get with the laid backness of minor league sports.
a poor display from orlando especially in the first half, to progress and become a MLS team they would have to greatly improve. they should use the wings more and not crowd the midfield. overall i did enjoy the match
Being from Brazil, I was scheptical going to watch a soccer game in Orlando. Boy, did we have a great time! Great turn out complete with the drums and required yelling, screaming and jumping. My whole family had a great time. Will deffinitely do it again. Go Orlando City!
I highly recommend anyone in the Central Florida area, locals or tourists alike, to catch an Orlando City Soccer Club game if the chance arises. The fan support was incredible, the intensity was surprisingly high, and the atmosphere of it all was superb. I'll gladly return to the Citrus Bowl again to the support the squad. Good times.
It was my first time watching a soccer game and I loved every minute of it. The atmosphere was great. I would recommend it to all my soccer loving friends or for anyone who has never seen a soccer game before.
Atmosphere is great! Watching Orlando City play is something you should witness. Nonstop excitement. Would recomend going with friends, family, neighbors, whoever! Go Lions!!!!!
Been in Orlando over 35 years, huge Magic fan, and this game by far has been the best game, best fans, best crowd EVER.......will continue to support Orlando City as long as I live...so happy I was part of history.....
THE GAME WAS GREAT AT HALF TIME THROW FREE STUFF MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT WAS GETTING FOOD DRINKS NO ONE WAS WALKING AROUND SELLING WATER SODAS DIDNT HAVE TO JUST MAKE IT AVAILABLE BY CONSESSIONS WITH THAT CROWD AND YOU WANT MORE EVENTS IN FUTURE TAKE PRETZELS PEANUTS AND DRINKS IN MORE THAN ONE AREA GET MORE SNACK VARIETY IN HOT SEASONS TO COME SLUSHY FROZEN ALCHOLIC DRINKS
For an inaugural game for Orlando City SC and New York City FC the event was huge, the crowd large, the support even bigger. There was no need to hand out purple cards to all the fans to make the bowl purple, at least 97% of the fans were wearing purple. 62,000 fans coming together for a team says a lot and if it has anything to say about the way the support will be for Orlando City there should be no problems filling the stands in purple for many seasons. The fans showed up, they tailgated outside for many hours before the game, they cheered real loud and supported their team. The fans did everything they could for the team, management, ownership and then some. So, why couldn't the team ownership and/or the committee who runs the Citrus Bowl do their part for the fans? The lines for everything were beyond long and intolerable. Purchasing merchandise inside the D gate was awful, unorganized, and I'm sure the team ownership lost out on so much money. I waited in line for at least 20 minutes just to get in to look at shirts, jerseys, etc. then I went into a different line to pay. The line was so long because there were only 2 people taking money and only one of them could take cards. People were getting so frustrated waiting for at least 45 minutes to pay that they were walking out of the line with the merchandise without paying not only because of the wait but also because the line was unsupervised and meshed in with the rest of the crowd walking around the stadium. Then it came to the issue of getting food. Again, huge lack of employees to accommodate all the fans. The lines were long and only got longer when the teams were not playing. I waited until halftime to get food and was 15-20 people from the counter. I waited in line for 30 minutes and moved maybe 5 people closer. Missing 20 minutes of a 45 minute half with no food is unacceptable to a real football fan. I finally went back to my seat and never spent another penny. I was not the only person waiting at that concession stand that left with no food or drink. This was happening everywhere and all I heard from people was how upset they were that they couldn't get more beer and food. The lines were too long at the concession stands and there were not enough vendors walking the stands. Many people were complaining out loud and saying they were going to bash the stadium about this game on every social media site. Otherwise, the match was good, no matter how many calls the fans thought the referee got wrong...evidence that about 80% of the fan base was an uneducated football fan. We were very impressed by the turnout and enthusiasm and the team that we decided to buy season tickets. My hope is that a lesson will be learned by this match on how to properly care for your fan base...by the next game if not by the time the new stadium opens next season. Good Luck Orlando City SC, can't wait to cheer you on in person at the next home match and see you in your true home next season!
This was a remarkable event. The club played great, and especially in the 90th minute to secure the tie. Go Kaka! The city support was unbelievable. I've been to hundreds of events in and around Orlando for a decade, and never experienced anything like that match. My only issue is with MLS and the fact that there is not any type of tiebreaker, or additional extra time after the second half. This is probably the 'American in me' and wanting to see a winner. I understand the tie, and point system with the tie, but an extra 20 minutes would have been great.
Fantastic and exciting event. There were quirks in the event handling by Citrus Bowl staffers. Given the large crowd and this being the initial game, I could understand there would be some confusion. Our entry gate did not open as scheduled as the ticket checkers were missing. My spouse is disabled but not in a wheelchair. We were purchased general seating tickets. Escalators, elevators and even restrooms are designated to certain tickets, gates, areas or groups. Some employees were understanding and assisted. Others would have her climb a rock wall (unbending) if that was in our path. The nearest restroom to our seats was a long haul through crowds. Along the way there were other inaccessible restrooms designed to certain ticketholders (who knew???).
Amazing atmoshpere, great fans and great weather. Never actually gone to a in season soccer match I would have to say I love it and plan on buying season tickets next so I won't miss any game. Soccer has really grown in this nation and this game really showed how passionate we can be about the beautiful game. I recommend coming to every game to support our Lions.
I was sceptical because I was a season ticket holder for 10 years in France for PSG soccer team and the supporters chanted all game long. I thought it would've been like a Bucs or a Rays game where the fans are nothing but spectators. I was absolutely surprised that the fans were chanting all game long here as well! I already have tickets for the next game and will probably get a season ticket! Best sports event I've ever seen in the US!
You choose a Club not for their success. You choose it , because you feel part of it. This is where my generation begins and my legacy will continue . The rise of the Lion Nation at the Citrus Bowl .
Our overall experience was great - parking, staff, venue - but topping everything was the amazing energy from all the fans inside and outside the stadium, and of course tying the game in the last mixtures certainly helped! We already purchased our tickets for 2 more matches!
Unforgetable ! Orlando city managment knows what they're doing! They took a chance in orlando thinking it may be a viable aoccer town and boy were they right!
The game was awesome! Good organization...the fans spirit was pure joy there...and the players did an amazing job...both NYSC and OCSC 1-1 ...Im glad we went and I am planning to go to more games...Go lions ☺
Great game! Great seats. I think the seating was a little confusing due to the rows only going up to I believe K and we were in row M...All in all, I am in the process of purchasing season passes! The crowd will keep you hyped and the game will keep you on the edge of your seats...that is if you can stay seated! lol
Wow, first ever MLS event. Off the charts with excitement. The fan base and atmosphere is amazing.

A great soccer experience from someone here in the UK who loves football. Amazing state of the art new stadium. Security was world class, takes time getting into the stadium but times are changing. Very enjoyable day out for the family. Travelling to the ground was heavy, Car parking easy (barter) the locals. Getting out beats some EPL teams!! Back on the US192 by 1800 in a restaurant.

Great venue for a soccer match. Avoid the bathrooms and concessions at halftime. You can barely move in the concourse.

There was not a single thing I can complain about for the entire time I was at the camping world stadium for the OC VS D.C. Soccer game. From the pregame to leaving the stadium I had a blast! So much energy and great sportsmanship between the players and the fans. I can't wait for next season!

Overall this was an amazing experience that I would highly recommended. The food and merchandise were outrageously expensive but that's to be expected. The game was great, the facilities nice, the staff helpful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. If you ever get the chance... go.

Best time at a game ever. We got 2 tickets in the supporter section, sang the team cheers, felt the beat of the drums, and became part of the experience! I'll get tickets in this section in the future Can't wait for the next home game!

This was the first match played since the horrible hate crime/terrorist attack in Orlando. The Lions dedicated the game to the victims. There were several touching tributes during the game. The supporter section is awesome. They never sit down or stop chanting the whole time. It was my first game to attend. The prices on drinks and food are typical venue high cost. There wasn't anything special about the food but seeing the game was amazing. Watching on tv is one thing but seeing it up and close changes everything from the players interacting to the sounds of the stadium.
Seats were great! I like this section because it's close to the supporter section, but still allows for a good view of the field. Match was a draw 1-1, but exciting the whole time. I'd recommend you go to a City match if you've never been!
I got these tickets for my boyfriend who always wanted to go to a soccer game and he absolutely loved it. The game was just amazing. It was so fun and the people were so great and friendly. The only thing I wish was a bit different is the food and drink prices. It was $10 for two water bottles which is a bit ridiculous. But other than that it was an amazing experience.
Huge soccer fans from Chicago in the area for the IMG Showcase and had a chance to visit the Citrus Bowl for the game. At the 90 minute mark and down 2-0 many fans headed for the exit. As the stadium was clearing one Orlando City fan told the people leaving that they should stay if they were real fans. It was amazing to watch OC score in the 93rd and 94th minute (added time for stoppage) to tie the game at 2-2.
Seats were great! They were near the supporter section (without actually being in it), and the field view was perfect. The energy of the whole stadium was phenomenal, go to an Orlando City Match if you haven't...
One of the most bizarre games i have ever attended, 2 hours delay 20 minutes action a further delay and still playing at midnight! This Soccer game had the parameters of a cricket match in India during a monsoon! Would i watch an MLS game in Orlando again? You Bet! The atmosphere created by the Orlando City fans was a joy to behold. Who said the Americans cannot teach Europeans anything about Football!
As a Brit coming to watch football/soccer in the MLS we were pleasant!y surprised by the quality of the game. Certainly attacking wise there was some good football, defensively though there needed more work. Of course go see kaka in the flesh was a great draw. It seem the rest of the Orlando team were also there to see him in the f!esh at times! The stadium is excellent and puzzles me why a) they are moving and b) to a smaller ground which. has a capacity much less than the average attendance this season. Made to feel very welcome and the transport links from the city are excellent. Great atmosphere in the ground (European rather than Engliish) with a huge buzz downtown beforehand. In fact I would recommend being downtown about 3-4hrs before to visit some of the pubs and bars to get some of the pre-game atmosphere. Plenty of tailgating as well which looks great!
Loved every second. The whole atmosphere was exciting and great fun. The venue for Orlando City was clean and user friendly. The seats were great and we had a fantastic time.
The game was great..the crowd was incredible and the atmosphere was something i wont forget...but at the end Orlando Lost but I will see another win and I will make sure I am there
Orlando City Soccer is awesome. Everything, the Colors, the symbol, the crowd, kaká... I started with a lot of effort and help from my seat neighbors the Wave! And it went two laps around!
Watched City dominate The Rapids in great seats at The Citrus Bowl One thing to note Sections 133-135 have access to The West Club an indoor ac area with seating bar and a fantastic view across the stadium It came in handy as there was a thunderstorm prior KO pushing game back 30 mins. Seats were excellent and atmosphere was electric for a 23,000 midweek game Worth a visit to see a developing team that could challenger in their first season and also not forgetting seeing the legend that is Kaka
Loved the game, it was delayed 30min because of the weather, but once it got underway it was great. The local fans have really fell in love with the the team, and soccer in general. Most cars going up and down the i4 have an Orlando City badge on them. Great to have a second team to follow as well, I've watched nearly every match this season from the UK and the team have really came on since the first few games, and have been able to find the net and score a few goals! Great view of most of the pitch, (although you can't see the by lines, I don't think you can from any seat because the there's a wall before the first row) the atmosphere was great and the crowd goes mad when Kaka comes over to take a corner. Food/drink is too expensive.
Had a blast beating OCSC in their own stadium. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to travel there to watch their team get a win. Thanks for the 3 points suckers!

Venue passes muster for soccer with excellent sight lines throughout. I recommend only because the point of going is the soccer game. However be warned, very limited food trucks outside the venue and close-in parking doesn't exist. Finally, the walk to the stadium was extremely disappointing...felt like walking through a construction zone. To be top notch this needs to be rectified.

The actual football game was good, however with being a tourist on vacation I had a bag containing tourist items eg; coats due to weather, camera and so on. Although to find out when I got here that we were not allowed to take a bag in although we had not been informed on this via email or when booking the tickets so I had to dispose of my bag in order to attend the game which we had paid for. I was not happy with this as it should be started, and I either had to not attend the match or dispose of the bag.
