What an incredible show! Darlene's voice at 76, remains unbelievable! God has blessed this woman and you can see it, hear it and feel it. Her show is not without superior co-stars as well. Her back up singers and band, ALL get their chance to shine as well and were tremendous. I am so glad I did not miss this treasure of a woman and this show.

At 74, Darlene has one of the most incredible voices still. Her first hour she did songs from her new album. The second hour was all the classics from the Crystals. She had an excellent 8 piece band with 3 back up singers. It was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. She has the energy of a 30 year old! Having a second row seat made it even better.

ms love started out off key, but tone and strength improved in second half of show. Band, esp percussion and organ/piano outstanding. Bringing on her sister was wonderful and she also rocked. Darlene's duet w gentleman in chorus was marred by poor amplification. Also want to note that we had especially rude people seated nearby who were drunk (liquor inn lobby bar) who were allowed to take their drinks to their balcony seats; had to ask them repeatedly to stop loud singing, clapping, cat calling, etc.

This was our second year in a row seeing Darlene Love's "Love for the Holidays" concert. It was non-stop entertainment, singalong, dancing in the aisles, FUN! We will keep going as long as she keeps singing. If you get a chance to see this "Hall of Fame" artist, do it!

WOW! 73 years old. I couldn't believe she would be that good. Look up recent footage on youtube, and if you can catch one of her shows, do it. As for the venue, again, top drawer. Great food and great seats providing you get there when the doors open.

i knew she had a powerhouse voice and have never seen her live before. however i was blown away by every aspect of her performance-vocally moving and very generous personality. she really connects with the audience and everything she does is for her fans. not at dishonest moment. her special guest was her younger sister from the 70's soul group honey cone. she sang her hits and some more and joined her sister for a rockin duet. it was a christmas concert and mercifully she sang few xmas songs but put a great spin on all of them

This is the second year that my boyfriend and I have attended Darlene's Christmas show at Bergen PAC. Again we were amazed at how great she still is, and how well she performs. This year's show was a little different than last year's show which eliminates the boring factor. She still has her voice and it is wonderful to listen to.

It wouldn't seem like Christmas without attending this concert. We go every year and have never been disappointed. We also were invited to attend the taping of her concert last Febrauary and can't wait for the DVD of that to come out - in the Spring, I think. What a talent Darlene Love is - she deserves the honor she just received of being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. See you at the Bergen PAC next December, Darlene!

She is absolutely AMAZING! I felt honored to be at the very first show she performed following her induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She has the energy of someone 1/3 her age, and is gracious and warm. Wish the show could have lasted longer. BB Kings had some beams in the way; we had to find a place to stand where we weren't blocking the sitting people. Her guitarist George Naha is also AMAZING! It's no wonder Darlene brings him back for her Christmas show every year. All in all, the great way to start the Christmas season!

Darlene love delivered a stunning, spirited performance of old faves from her Rock and Roll days as well some Holiday Music. She was on a natural high and it was not difficult to tell, she had the young at heart and the very young jumping to their feet to the rhythms and sounds of those oldies but goodies. She did not disappoint. I only wished the show was longer as we all wanted to hear all her faves but she was animated and honest and said that she would except that she would spend the whole night singing...the audience said that they didn't mind if she did. She belted ever song with such vigor and power that I am not sure she needed a microphone, she was in rare form, for such a diminutive person her voice sure packs quite a punch, sounding even better than the original sounds of yesteryear.

California has its "Old-Chella" and now we have ours. At the beautiful St. George Theatre on the Isle of Staten. John Cafferty was OK. Gary US Bonds was pretty amazing for his age. Darlene Love was truly amazing. Her voice is as clear and powerful as ever. Excellent back-up band (some of whom also helped the opening acts). Good audience interaction too. All in all a most pleasant and enjoyable evening.

Had a great time - La Bamba was sensational and Darlene Love and her back up singers were incredible. Really enjoyed the show. We were sorry it ended! Love the easy Asbury Park accessibility of the Paramount but the sound seemed a bit off. Distorted? Especially during La Bamba.

She still has the gorgeous voice she had in her 20s. We have seen her several times and she does a great show, but she needs to give up trashing Phil Spector and move on. Everyone knows he was a weasel and it just distracts from her performance. It's been more than fifty years...get over it! He got his due.

While DL is always good, she left without an encore and took a long break in a barely 90 minute set. Not sure if there was a problem, but I think it may have been a reaction to a house that was barely more than half full and a fairly low energy audience. This was our 5th time seeing her; now our last.

Darlene Love put on a high-energy fantastic concert at the Parker Playhouse !! She is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who is praised by the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Elton John. Darlene looked and sounded as great as always !! The first half of the concert Darlene sang a lot of songs from her latest CD called "Introducing Darlene Love." Some of those songs that she sang were "Forbidden Nights," "Among the Believers," "Little Liar" (a Joan Jett song), "Painkiller," "Jesus is the Rock (That Keeps Me Rollin')", and many others. I enjoyed all of these. The second half of the concert was my favorite part -- the classics !! Some of these super hits that she sang were "Wait Til My Bobby Gets Home," "Da Doo Ron Ron," "Today I Met The Boy I'm Gonna Marry," "He's Sure The Boy I Love," "He's a Rebel," and more. Darlene got many standing ovations !! Her finale was the great song "River Deep, Mountain High" which was spectacular !! The entire concert was phenomenal !! A great night of music by a legend !! Loved it !!

Darlene Love is a great entertainer who still can deliver after all these years.She,her backup singers and her band were all wonderful. Amusing stories and anecdotes in between songs.She sang tunes from her new album,as well as her classic hits.So glad we saw her this year after missing last year's show. We saw her on Broadway in Hairspray and she has a powerful voice and presence. Parker Playhouse is an intimate setting and the audience can really connect with the performer unlike many of the larger venues.

First I cannot believe that Darlene Love is 74 years old. Her voice is as strong as ever....her body is fierce ...great legs, great arms, great energy! Her back up singers had incredible harmonies......they were fabulous in their own right. Loved hearing the old songs and really enjoyed some of her new ones. Fun! What a powerhouse of a voice! Great rapport with the audience. Loved it when she sang the "Classics" . The first half of her show she sang songs from her new album. She sounded great...but I wasn't interested in hearing them. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in seeing a wonderful performer. Wish she sang more of the oldies, though.

Very disappointing . The first half of the show Ms. Love only did songs from her new album and it felt like she spent the whole time pushing the album . Then there was an intermission and she had her back up singers perform after the intermission. We had to wait a half an hour for her to come back while the back up singers were performing . They were very good but we didn't come to hear them .then two songs had religious undertones as did her verbiage about them, which I found offensive . I didn't come to see anything religious .I think she only three performed 3 oldies, which everybody really wanted to hear more
