The bands were excellent. A very special treat to enjoy these groups in such a small venue. Seeing them in their glory days, filling arenas and supporting other acts in the '60s (Poco) and the '70s, made this experience very special.

For the price , it was worth it but would have preferred better seats and better sound quality. Fun night even though the audience helped the singer with reaching the keys they couldn't ... (Talking about POCO lead singer especially) . A rush of old memories with all those songs from Ambrosia, Firefall and Poco. Cameraman needs training because when the Sax was playing solo - Camera was on the guitar. Volume of backup singers was louder than the lead singer. Someone was sleeping behind the wheel, you could say

Poco was better than I expected. FirefFall was good, but Ambrosia acted like they didn't want to be there. They played 2 of their hits and some other song that no one knew or could understand the words. Bad ending to what was a great evening. Ambrosia played song like they were hard rock, not soft rock.

Every once in a while you get a very pleasant surprise when you buy tickets for a show! It was with great anticipation that we attended last Friday;s show at the Bears Den in Niagara Falls. Ambrosia played their hearts out...and song after song did not disappoint! n90 minutes of Ambrosia hits...one after another...just loke the doctor ordered!

Ambrosia was one of my favorite groups during the 80's and still is today. They still sound just as good. It was a great concert. They had the audience engaged from beginning to end. After the concert they came out and signed autographs and were very friendly. I took my daughter to the concert, and now she is a fan too.

Ambrosia played as well as they ever have to an obviously appreciative crowd. For a couple of hours, I was able to relive some of my younger days. The crowd gave them several standing ovations during their set. Buffalo has always been a great place for Ambrosia as they have developed a large following and I can't wait until they come back again

Took my fiancee, she liked them "back in the day". Being more of a Heavy Metal rocker myself I was extremely impressed with their performance. Knew more of the tunes than I thought I would. Top notch musicians in every way with a great sound. Check them out if you get the chance.

Ambrosia still can bring it after all these years. After their vocals got a chance to warm up they put together those great harmonies, high end fill ins and soulful ballads that they are known for. I really enjoyed some of their jams and I was reminded how much I like their individual musical skills and how they blend to create a distinct sound all their own. Lots of fun and well worth seeing live!

Solid performance from start to finish. Four part vocal harmonies, seemless transitions between shared lead vocals and great virtuosity on their instruments tackling songs I thought were only achievable in a studio setting. If they were a house band locally I'm sure I'd develop a drinking problem, as I would attend performances like this nightly if given the chance.

Ambrosia was celebrating 41 years together, and from the performance you'd think it was still the 1970's. They delivered sonic perfection and the show had great energy. For me however, the opening act, Frank Viele and the Manhattan Project stole the show. You must see this band. Six guys all true professional musicians playing this awesome funky music complete with a horn section. These guys are definately going to make it big.

When I bought the tickets, I was not fully clued into the the breadth of the members' musicianship. Most lovers of popular music who are in their 40's, 50's and 60's are very familiar with the iconic hits like "BIGGEST PART OF ME." Yet, how many of us "older" listeners are aware of the deep musical intelligence of these seasoned veterans. Some of the numbers they performed reminded this listener of "Yes" depth. Overall, I would go see them again in a second...that's "how much I feel" the joy of creative music from a band called AMBROSIA! They are alive and well!

Ambrosia is still great - complex melodies and great harmony. Coachhouse acoustics are bad and people talk constantly during the sets. Uncomfortable and hot! And two openings acts is ridiculous - they started at 10:30.

They played great and interacted with the crowd even though there was a very poor turnout for the event. I was, however, expecting more of their greatest hits (similar to the last time I saw them) rather than so many of their more obscure songs. Overall, very glad I went. Well worth it!

I was a little disappointed. There was only one original member. The new singer sings okay, but he's not David Pack. The sound system in The National was not good, the loudness of the music kinda overshadowed the singing, or maybe I was too close(second row). The guitarist Rick was hot though.

The Ambrosia 40th Anniversary show at the National Theater, Richmond, was as awesome and wholesome as one could want! The opening act, John Ford Coley, who recently lost his partner England Dan (Seals) to lymphoma, came out as a solo performer... rendering all the hit songs we've come to know and love, interspersed with some rather amusing anecdotes and stories which kept the small but enthusiastic crowd entertained for 45 minutes. For his finale, Mr. Coley brought the Ambrosia band out for his last tune "Light of the World". The only disappointment was that the band didn't play the entire set with him; his songs are so intricately layered, that their power, beauty and harmony were somewhat compromised when performed acoustically. But quite enjoyable nonetheless... Ambrosia returned to the stage 15 minutes later with a 90+ minute set of what I call "progressive pop rock". Their progressive rock roots were showcased with the opener "Nice Nice Very Nice", as well as "Kamikaze", "Life Beyond LA" and the memorable "Time Waits For No One". Top-40 radio fans were also treated to 70s/80s staples such as "How Much I Feel", "You're the Only Woman", and the closing number "Biggest Part of Me"; these songs had the audience singing and clapping......and several couples were dancing nostalgically at their seats. Their ability to morph their sound from commercial pop to Yes-style prog-rock is what made them accessible to the wide audience they enjoyed for the last 40 years. A new album consisting of both styles is presently in the works. Guitarist Rick Cowling (new to the band) stole the show with his Paul McCartney-esque imitation on "Oh Darlin'" and "Magical Mystery Tour". From a distance, Cowling indeed bore a resemblance to the Beatle, and his vocals were just as superb all night, joined by bassist Joe Puerta, who sings most of the band's songs. Keyboardist Chris North spent the night hovering over his Yamaha organ like a mad scientist, supported by the strong percussive work of Burleigh Drummond, and another supporting keyboardist. The highlight of the evening was the informal "meet-&-greet" held in the theater lobby immediately after the show. Within 5 minutes, the band was out signing autographs, posing for photos, sharing stories; these guys were absolutely wonderful to their fans! This writer has attended hundreds of concerts, but this was one of the most intimate and fan-friendly shows I have ever attended. Ambrosia certainly has been true to their name!

John Ford Coley came out and played just about every song off of John & Dan's Greatest Hits, told some great stories, and then Ambrosia joined him on stage for his finale, Love Is The Answer. Then Ambrosia hit the stage, and you would have never known David Pack wasn't there. They've got a guy singing with them (I believe they said it was his 5th gig with them) that can sing his behind off!!! Ambrosia was amazing! They played all of their hits and some new stuff and then played a three -song encore, two of which were Beatles songs! LOVED!!! It was a great night of remembering, reminiscing, and sheer enjoyment.

I was a big fan of Ambrosia way back when (mid 70's) and hoped they still had some magic left today, but that was not the case. Obviously they miss David Pack whose guitar and vocals were a driving force. Today's version of Ambrosia reminds me more of a tribute band. Still good musicians, they worked hard to put forth the best performance possible, but like many older bands just lack the element that once made them so great. Average at best.

We had a great time at this concert! We even got to meet the band afterwards and get pictures taken with them and autographs. Who does that!! Thank you Ambrosia for being so personable! The only recommendation I have is that Ken Stacey should not try so hard to hit all the high notes at the end of "Biggest Part of Me". We felt like it was too much. We will definitely go see them again when they come back!!!

With 3 of the original founding members still together here, the essence of Ambrosia lives on. The three "new" (they've been a part of the band really too long now to still call them "new" I suppose), offer enough diversity and new blood to keep Ambrosia entertaining and relevant. Yeah, we still miss David but after seeing/hearing them now for my 4th time (3rd w/o David), I am enjoying the newer arrangements and presentations of some of their biggest hits along with newer/different material worked into their shows. They connect with the audience and sure look like they are enjoying themselves too! Now if we could have just got rid of the two drunk women behind us (who obviously got free tickets somehow), who would NOT stop talking (LOUD) during the bands performance, with one asking the other early on: "Now what songs do these guys do?" - REALLY???? Luckily we were able to move to 2 vacant seats on other side of aisle away from them, pity those who were stuck around them.

I see many concerts a year and I guess they all can't be great. Ambrosia in my opinion were one of the best vocal bands of all time, if not THE best. Unfortunately they are no longer able to achieve the same. They brought in a younger guy to cover the 'tough' stuff and he just didn't have it. He was more interested in trying to look like Bono. Hat-check, yellow shades-check, jacket-check. Musically still strong. But not vocally.

The show was top quality but the US Cellular sound system made it difficult to hear the bands until the second part of the show... This was a great show... Hotel California started off with a great tribute to The Eagles, followed by Firefall... They sound just as good as they did back in the day. Orleans was good and they reminded us why they're "Still the One..." and did a song doing a tribute to all the artists trying to make it in the music business. Finishing off the evening was Ambrosia and they brought out some new music along with their classics.. All in all, a very enjoyable trip down memory lane.

Ambrosia was great and they continued to play for Player & Stephen Bishop, except Ronn Moss played bass with Player. Player & Stephen Bishop were great to hear for my first time. Vocally Peter & Ronn (Player) still have it after all these years. I have the "Best of Player" so I really enjoyed hearing them. They should have had more hits through the years. Stephen Bishop played his hits and he was very good too! Then the surprise guest was Michael McDonald and his wife. What a surprise!! They were great! Ambrosia hosted the Benefit and did a great job keeping the music flowing. I look forward to hearing them again at the Rose in Pasadena next month.

Ambrosia performed flawlessly, their complex rich sound superb. They backed Player and Stephen Bishop with quality musicianship like the pros they are. Ambrosia gave these two acts added dimension with great harmony on the vocals. After about two hours of nonstop quality music, just when we thought the concert had ended, surprise guest Michael McDonald and his spouse were introduced! What an absolute thrill! Ambrosia blended with Michael on many of his signature songs. He was superb, and has slimmed down noticeably. The finale included all of the performers, and was received with a minutes long standing ovation. This was better than a "bucket list" concert!

It started with Ticket Master not getting me my tickets in time fir the show. The venue was terrible, an old played out dirty casino. They had a terrible sound set up, distorted and unbalanced. The band acted more like a cover band than Ambrosia. The played Stevie Wonder, The Beatles....I actually thought I was going to hear Ambrosia. I think they played a total of 4 or 5 of their own songs and the rest was other artists music. The ticket price was that but I was left a bit dissapointed.

Outstanding concert. Did not expect much but from start to finish it was wonderful. Sound and arrangement excellent. Every member of he band was great and they did not drown out each other or drown out the vocals. The vocal were very good. The 3 big hit songs were good but the others I was not that familiar with were outstanding. They played with such joy and enthusiasm. It was like watching a great private jam session. There were no points where I was board. Fun from start to finish. Also got our moneys worth as they played lots of songs for 2 hours. Small venue was great except for the food which sucks big time.

This show is one of the best we've seen in a while. Ambrosia was great, as were the friends. We would like to see them again.

A wonderful night out with friends at The Paramount to see in concert some artists that we all liked from the good old days. The individual performances were spot on with Peter Beckett putting on an exceptional set and Ambrosia delivering the goods that made us fall in love with them in the first place. We all had smiles from ear to ear and it brought back some fond memories for us to talk about. A really good night out that we all enjoyed.

Been to the Paramount a number of times to see bands like Ambrosia from the 70's and 80's and have never been disappointed. Great time, great venue, great location.

I took a friend to this concert and we had a very nice time. It was a very laid back group, and we were able to sit in a side area and visit when someone sat in front of us and we couldn't see very well. The music was good, the venue was accommodating, and the memories were irreplaceable!!

The show seemed very tired and laser lights kept piercing our eyes. The warm up band was very good though - better than Ambrosia.

Ambrosia was even better than I remember them. They play with heart and soul--every member. The ABSOLUTE highlight of our Las Vegas trip. Even if you're not old school or don't recall their many hits, you will be wowed by this group. One of the best concerts I've ever attended.

Ambrosia was very personable and took the time to talk to every fan and sign autographs for all who wanted. Wonderful ppl who truly care about their fans. Great venue and not a bad seat in the house. However, drinks and food is way overpriced plus they tell you what to tip the server and frankly he didnt deserve that high of a tip. Prices are a rip off and can certainly lower the prices some.

Like Many 70s bands, some of the original members have moved on. In this case, the lead singer missing from the original band is too big of a loss. The harmonies we're nonexistent. It was like watching a cover band do ambrosia songs, except when the band also did some barely recognizable Beatles songs.
