This was a lude, crude, and disgusting show. After researching pretty thoroughly, and reading again and again that this show was appropriate family fare, I took my family, which includes a 12 year old boy, to the show. From the very beginning, it was basically gyrating T&A, lude suggestive sexual gestures, scantily clad women with breasts falling out in every direction and singing that was screeching and fuzzy, terrible quality sound. The acting was your standard mediocre over-acting and the plot is thin with the kind of dialogue that a middle school drama club would be embarrassed to deliver. The Killer Queen is expecially raunchy, this was a crappy Vegas-style act at best, what a waste of money, even at half price it was a bad value. Let me be clear as I wish someone out there would have been with me, unless your family viewing includes porn or burlesque, this show is not for your type of family. Granted, Mercury had his not-so-subtle crude side, no doubt, but from all I read this musical was supposed to be a tribute to the great music and instead the music, which still holds up today and is brilliant, took a backseat to the actors' backsides.

This was a fun, engaging, and totally rockin' musical (with an awesomely talented...and hot!...cast). In my opinion, this was one of the better examples of this brand of musical (which is carried on the strength of Queen's catalog and a cast of very talented singers). I would go back and see it again in a heartbeat!

Mama Mia was good, Rock of Ages was great, but We Will Rock You was STUPENDOUS!!! When they weren't singing, they were making you laugh your butt off. It was LOUD and we FELT the music, almost as good as a live rock concert. The poor old folks were complaining that it was too loud and some left during the second song. LOL

Unfortunately, the sound was very off this evening. We could not hear the actors, the music was extremely loud and we couldn't appreciate the music of Queen.

I bought expensive tickets near one of the front speakers and that was a big mistakes. The seats literally shook. And by the end of the first act about 80% of the people in that section had either left or moved. It is a great show and there is no reason for them to have it a 100 db. It makes the whole thing much less enjoyable. You have a great product. Most of the audience was older, and we're now smart enough not to want to be subjected to that much noise.

The show was stolen to me by Scaramouche, but all together it was definitely worth going to. My favorite Queen song "Fat Bottom Girls" was actually my least favorite part of the show unfortunately. The character that performed this number was on a level somewhat below all the others. Never the less, I would recommend it!

Great music as expected from Queen. Some of the singing performances were very good and captured the Queen sound while others were mediocre. It was kind of like Queen music used as show tunes which worked some of the time in the show and at other times did not. The plot was pretty thin. The acting was good and the costuming and sets were good. While the musical selections were very good, can't go wrong with Queen music, the show seemed to drag on and on at times. Recommended if you are a Queen fan and like hearing the songs.

The music was great, but the story telling could have been better. We got there early and got a sneak peak at what songs they were going to play and it sounded promising. It was opening night and they had a technical difficulty, which lead to 2 brief intermissions. Overall I think the actors did a good job at portraying Queen. It was a little over the top at times but other than that I really enjoyed it.

This show was Broadway and then some when it comes to singing and dancing. The two leads in the show were phenomenal to say the least. The plot was dissapointing but worth the price of admission to hear these Queen songs done by some extremely talented voices.

This Musical, akin to rock of ages in the "rocking" category was fantastic. The actors were great, they did Mercury proud. The Music, Comedy, how it nods to the futuristic views of the 80s...even the characters names...its so good. My friend who I went with does not like musicals but loves QUEEN, this is how I got him to go, by the end of the show he was like "Can we get tickets for another showing?!?!?"

The singing was very good, but the acting and "dancing" was terrible. Several of the actors even messed up their lines. In addition, some of the chosen music was horrible (I do not mean any of the songs from/by Queen). With all of the amazing singers who can act and actors who can sing, this show should have been much better. Finally, the technical difficulties that shut the show down for 15 - 20 minutes should have been ironed out before the show ever opened. Ninety dollars per ticket is way too much money to spend for a show as rough as this one.

What a show! Although the band was a bit loud the singers had wonderful voices as did the entire troupe of singers and dancers--- songs never forgotten by anyone! The digital generated background was different and fit the show perfectly! Only part I did not enjoy were the bright lights going off and on into the audience; they were a bit blinding especially for those of us with glasses. It was fun to be able to be a part of the show by singing songs like We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust! It was easy to follow the story line and the characters. We thoroughly enjoyed this show!

I saw the show originally in Philadelphia, January 2014. I loved it so much I purchased tickets for the New Haven show. There was a problem with the sound system, I thought. Way too loud in the first act, and way too much treble. Seemed to improve in the 2nd act. Performances were very good.

We love Queen so, even though we knew nothing about this show, we were ready to love it. Well we did love it and so did everyone else in the audience! It was so much fun. The music, the lighting, the scenery, the costumes, the singing, dancing, acting, the enthusiasm of the talented tireless adorable cast....oh! The involvement of the audience! Again, so much fun! We are youngish senior citizens, but the audience ranged in age from 10 to 80 and everyone was up on their feet singing and cheering by the finale. And the surprise at the end.... fabulous! Love love loved it. BRAVO!

We were expecting some type of story about the rock group Queen. What we saw had absolutely nothing to do with the band. Not so bad, but the producers decided, I guess, to create their own stories that reference some Queen songs (and just about everyone who has ever been in the music business), and set it in some sci-fi, futuristic capsule that had something to do with an internet company called Globalsoft (Microsoft?!). It wasn't clever, it was confusng and silly. What's more, the dialogue was dreadful, the acting bordered on ham, the non-Queen songs were hokey, the sets were cheesy...and the list goes on. The two lead singers have good voices and were wasted on this show. We were embarrassed for everyone involved in the whole production and left at intermission. I don't think we missed anything. And they did do the Bohemian Rhapsody after all.

I really liked all the musical refercences and the story line was cute. Felt the music was a bit shrill in the first half. It was difficult to hear the voices sometimes. Second half they seemed to turn down the volume a bit and it was better. The characters were great, wish the killer queen had a stronger voice though. I would go see it again. Fun time, wish the audience was more involved. The Shubert has a tendency to attract a more sedate crowd.

This play was ok. I was not a fan of all the singers. I felt some over did it and some of the songs just seemed forced. Some songs were done beautifully like Somebody to Love and I Want it All. All the women in the play were wonderful, except I felt the character of Killer Queen over did it. Her voice just did not quite fit the play. The lead male Galileo was ok, I mean he is a great singer, but being the main lead and a representative of Freddie Mercury was not a true match. I thought Sacramuche and Ozzy Ozbourne were great and I enjoyed Britney Spears too. Overall I am happy that I did go and see the play, but it was not exactly what I expected. I would not see this play again. I would see Rock of Ages again.

We saw the national touring company of We Will ROCK You, a musical based on the music of Queen. We saw it at the historic 1920's Warner Theater as a matinée right after brunch across the street at Chef Geoff's which was a great plan! The actors were talented in all skills: singing (even in Freddie Mercury's range), acting and choreography. The band was not in the "pit orchestra" in front of the stage--they occupied a loft above the rear of the stage on scaffolding. Other than a couple brief moments when the radio remote microphones went out, the sound quality was a great way to experience the music of Queen and display the talent of the well-accomplished professional actors. One of the lead parts had a great "radio voice" he used for his dialog and could also sing very well--he made us laugh with his music history references to famous artists of today who were irrelevant in the future of the digital music world of Globenet--music content controlled by a commercial Orwellian dictator. All the acting was believable and the casting was excellent! I was tempted to buy the CDs they had for sale--especially since there was no photography or video allowed. The cast and band received at least 3 standing ovations and played an encore Queen hit song. There were a few "audience participation" songs and we enjoyed the "modern" humor mixed in. There were a few kids in the audience, so the language and sexual innuendo was manageable for about the 10-13+ age group who had no idea who Queen or Freddie was--a bit of an "educational" presentation with a bunch of references back to the beginning of the ROCK era with Elvis Presley on up through Brittney Spears/Madonna humor mixed in to the dialog. Overall we had a great show and would highly recommend if the same touring company comes to a city near you!

They took parts or whole Queen songs and put them together to a story line. This sounds easier to do than it is. Music was great (of course) voices were good (some better than others). The sets were a mix of video and/or normal set stuff. Very cool how they pulled it all together. I would have given this 5 stars if 'Ozzie's' voice was better and if the main singer "Galileo" sounded more like Freddie Mercury. He was great but so much of Queen is really Freddie and his incredible voice. Definitely worth seeing though.

Some of the singing artists were fairly good but otherwise the plot is really dumb, the sets are trite and glitzy but showed a real lack of creativeness. It is a low bar in the theatre. Should never have been produced. And if that is what Ben Elton is about, he should go back to some easy day job. Completely useless loud musical signafying nothing. But love to be in the Warner Theatre......so absolutely beautiful..

The show was great - visually as well as sound-wise. However, they need to ratchet back the volume a little; it almost hurt my ears! All cast members had fantastic voices, and the choreography was super. I am not a long-time Queen fan, but I recognized enough of the songs to thoroughly enjoy it. The weaving together of their songs reminded me of what was done for Mama Mia. There was comedy, too, which was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this show.

Finally saw WWRU after a friend's recommendation who LOVES it, and after writing a story on the lighting back in the early 2000s. I figured, "how bad can it be?" Well, pretty bad apparently. First off, the performers were fantastic, each and every of them. My issue is with, well, everything else. Aside from the structure of the "story" -- a term I used VERY loosely -- the songs weren't propelling the plot AT ALL. And some of the lesser known Queen tunes just weren't that great. Seriously, WWRU makes "Mamma Mia" look like Chekov. I can't believe Ben Elton was involved in this treacle. I enjoy mindless entertainment as much as the next person, but this was just embarrassing.

We saw WWRY in London seven years ago. This story line differed from what we saw but the music, singing and dancing were just as good if not better than we recall. We think this story line had more humor and who doesn't love to laugh. The story line is consistent with today's events and most enjoyable. The character development was well done and the reference to current celebrities was creative and funny. This was a very entertaining, nostalgic evening and definitely worth the time and money. I highly recommend seeing this wonderful performance by these high energy and talented actors and musicians.
