Venue was excellent. Seats were great. I will return to watch another UNT football game.

What a great stadium!!! The tickets I purchased on ticketmaster were such great seats!! Will definitely do it again.

seats were exceptional - game was fun - wish someone could have turned of the wind that seemed to be blowing straight from the North Pole to North Texas.

The new UNT stadium is very well layed out with plenty of various vendors and plenty of restrooms. With only a few hiccups (some vendors didn't have enough products for the overwhelming crowd), it was a great game . . . especially since the University of Houston won ;-)

The announcer was WAY WAY WAY too loud. I had to cover my ears. He mispronounced MANY names.

It was an amazing time. We had so much fun and the stadium was beautiful. I can't wait to go back again.

I was a bit surprised because this stadium doesn't feel bigger than Fouts. However, it was very nice and I enjoyed myself. I went for Homecoming 2011 and the Mean Green Eagles WON!!! One thing I missed was the Coca-Cola commercial they always played featuring Mean Joe Green. Other than that: Good game. Nice stadium! GO MEAN GREEN!

We had a great time. The gameday atmosphere was awesome. Tailgators were great. The stadium is amazing and the students and alumni of UNT are fortunate to have such a nice facility to enjoy football games in.

Took my 7 year old son to the game and never saw him have more fun! Great stadium.

Great new stadium. Excellent visability from all locations, nice concourse with variety of concessions all reasonably priced, easy to get to.

The game was good but the stadium was great. Its a big improvement over the old one. Only down side is that the cheap parking is across the highway, spring for the $20 parking so you don't have to walk 3 miles to and from the game.

Great atmosphere while tailgating. Superb facility, but I think the sound guy is hard of hearing as the announcer and the music was louder than any rock concert I've been to in a long, long time.... Would have given 4.5 stars had the sound not been so awful

Only 3 Stars because of sound system loudness, parking, and stadium access logistics. PLUSES: 1) Tail gating and game day atmosphere was great 2) Row spacing, seat width allowance, and riser height are excellent and make for good viewing and seating comfort 3) Good access to concessions MINUSES: 1) Seriously need better parking (closer to the stadium) and road ingress/egress 2) Sound system was way beyond comfort/safe level for people who are sitting south of the 20 yard line. Also way too much unnecessary noise content just to 'fill the air'. Having it so loud also diminishes the band performance since they can't match the sound level that people have gotten accustomed to during the first half. 3) Wireless from the officials kept cutting in and out...usually got one syllable. 4) Only a few of the exit gates were open which made getting out of the stadium much slower than it should have been. Also would have been a real problem in an evacuation. 5) Sections are poorly marked, making it difficult to know which section you were in. 6) Prohibited items include 'Water' but not 'Guns'? Really?

The game against Indiana was a great game, even though we should have won by more than a field goal. We still won and the environment was great. However, the only thing I was disappointed with was the turnout. Only about 21,000 people in attendance when we're playing against a Big 10 team. I hope more people show up for our homecoming game and the stadium looks packed! Apogee is a great stadium and it needs to get packed!

I was at the opening game at Apogee Stadium. What a great venue! As Gil Brandt (former Dallas Cowboys exec) said, "It's a Taj Mahal. It is an unbelievable facility. I think I've been to every college stadium that's ever been built and this is really, really something special." There is a ton of green space around the stadium to tailgate which makes for a great Saturday. If you love football I highly recommend coming to this stadium once and you might keep coming back.

Nice new UNT stadium-Apogee. Great atmosphere with students and fans! Unfortunately, no beer or wine at concessions... Also, had to walk across I-35 to stadium.

The upgrade to the UNT football program I have been waiting 15 years for. It was a great experience.

It was the first game in the new stadium. Awesome! Just took forever to find parking. Missed 1st quarter of the game.

First half of game was competitive, fun to watch. Second half got a little boring, U of H dominated play. UNT made a spark of a comeback right at end of game. Loved seeing new stadium at home of Mean Green. UNT had a lot of spirit! UNT definitely needs to organize parking better. Not any signs to help flow of traffic find parking. Oh yea, net needs to be added to goal post to prevent balls from coming into stands.

Stadium good game -OK Parking - abysmal - or maybe nonexistent, blocked off roads, lack of signage, police having cars go in circles, had to park over a mile away, at least there it was free. if they get the parking straightened out all would be good

The parking needs to be improved. The sound system needs work. They need to rent seat cushions. The public address announcer was irritiating. Other than that we had a good time

For a school that has had trouble in the realm of football lately, the University of North Texas made sure that the first game played in the new Apogee Stadium was top notch. Aside from a sound system problem (and the Mean Green losing the game), the game went off without a hitch. The sheer number of tailgaters and the amount of space they took up (two parking lots on both sides of the highway) was something this NT alum had never seen before. I was so proud of my school and all the effort that is being put towards creating a better, new, and more exciting Mean Green college experience. Now if only we could put more points on the board.

The new stadium is fantastic, and all that I can do is hope and pray that people continue to support the Mean Green the same way every time. Anyone who's been to a game at Fouts in the past 15 years knows that it was never much of an event. A few people tailgating, some booths set up, and around 10-15 thousand fans at the game. With nearly 30,000 fans at the opening Apogee game, this felt different. This felt real. This felt amazing. Sure, having to park at Fouts or on Campus and walking 15 minutes sucked, but not that bad. Worth going early and having a great time on the hill. Anyone who wants the football team to be more successful needs to be heading out and supporting this team NOW! I'm telling you, if the turnout is that good on a consistent basis, the feeling will be infectious and the players will feed off of it. I know this will happen. Anyway, Go Mean Green, go UNT for building this place, go all of the tailgaters, go all students who helped pack this place, go all alumni who are as excited about this as I am, and go team for what you're about to do in the next few years.

What a fiasco. Arrived 1.5 hrs prior to the game and the cash lots (Fouts Field) we sold out and there were no handicapped slots available. Unless you donate large sums to UNT sports, you are stuck with a mile walk even though there was parking available at the old hotel parking lot. It took us the equivalent of an entire quarter to walk from the stadium back to our car. Then getting out of Denton was another headache. Half the concessions took credit cards, the other half didn't, but you didn't know that until after you waited in line for half and hour. No separate lines for cash, so you were stuck behind people paying for a $2 popcorn with a credit card. Lines were long. There were only 26K people there...should have gone smoother. Very poor planning by UNT. Used to be a 10 year season ticket holder...bet a bunch of them are going to be selling their tickets this year...

Brand new stadium was very nice. Wide open spaces, plenty of room for lots of people. Concession stands were everywhere and prices did not make me scratch me head. UNT should be proud of their new stadium - just a minor microphone issue.

Its been a long time since I have visited Denton. The opening game of the new Apogee Stadium was a perfect excuse to make the trip! The new stadium is nice. Plenty of bathrooms and concessions. Seating was comfortable and viewing was excellent. The game was entertaining, especially during the first half, but North Texas has some work to do before they will be competitive with even average upper-tier teams like Houston. The parking and traffic situation was not as good as it could be. Expect congestion, and a long walk to the stadium. I'm sure this aspect of the stadium will improve over time. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

North Texas did it right, the new stadium is excellent. Even if you are not a fan of the Mean Green, it is a fun venue and reasonably priced for a date or a family.

One of the most exciting games I ve seen in awhile and a great marching band!

Denton police must try to see how difficult they can make it for fans to get to a game. "Let's set up as many roadblocks as possible to make it as difficult as possible to get anywhere in Denton." I noticed that at 2:00pm, there were more fans arriving outside the stadium just arriving than there were inside the stadium. I surmise they were all caught in traffic. And is there no place to add parking on the stadium side of the freeway? I won't be back to Denton.

Last Saturday, November 8th was my first time at the new stadium. We tailgated for a couple of hours in the lot near the old stadium, Fouts. It was a cool scene and the entire lot was packed. I did not expect such a turnout, as Mean Green games used to be pretty sparsely attended. There were people barbecuing, playing games, partying everywhere, just like you'd expect at a good tailgate. The stadium is a short walk from there. The club donors tailgate over there, and it's a great scene, too. There is an alumni club with a nice patio overlooking the water and field. As far as the stadium itself--view is cool from the hilltop, with the windmills...concourses are wide, bathrooms and concessions plentiful. All seats are bench seats, so bring a stadium seat or cushion. A good portion of the fans were late to the game which was unfortunate, but after they arrived, the place was probably 75% full, which was good considering UNT has been pretty bad this year. Stadium is intimate, so every seat has a good view. Game presentation was good. Don't go expecting Kyle Field or anything, but it's still really cool. And of course Denton is a fun college town. Definitely recommended overall.

we loved to support the Mean Greens but they played badly that day. will be back for almost every game though. The Apogee Stadium is really beautiful, there is a good amount of support, I'm supper glad that UNT allows the students to enter with no charge, it's all about support... pretty easy to get out at the end. Good work police directing traffic.

That Texas sun at high noon, straight up over the playing field, with no shade at all in the stands, was too much for many people. Who the heck approved playing a football game in early September at midday? Insane.

Incredible facilities, new stadium is great. Only need to work on parking.

If you want to watch a bunch of rich boys get smacked, this is for you. If you're a football fan, go elsewhere

Thank you North Texas for making my return to UNT so special! I attended the tail gate parties, parade and walked the campus prior to attending the game against UTEP! Not only was the game super exciting, but the spirit of the university was reflected in the participating students and fans who filled the entire stadium! It could not have been a better day! There was so much school spirit in the air, it was infectious! My Sam Houston Grad was zealous! The Apogee stadium is impressive! Made me proud to be a graduate of UNT! First visit to North Texas new football stadium. Easy parking and short walk over bridge to stadium. Plenty of food stands so no long waits is lines. Good line of sight from all seats and great scoreboards. Great time!!

The seats were great. If the action was on the other end, the score board screen was right in front of me. Nice folks in the crowd. When the action was on this end, it was very in your face. I will be back for more games

We had a wonderful time being back on the North Texas Campus. The game was great for a family. There was free face painting available, free pictures, and good food options. Will be back again!

A first class stadium (Apogee) with a first class team (Mean Green) at a first class campus and organization (UNT). A GREAT time!

Although North Texas doesn't win manny games, the experience is AMAZING!!! the half time band they have is the best i have ever heard... Over all the best time i've ever had.

I love my school, but the team is just not up to par. However, I had a great time.. the new Apogee Stadium is quite impressive. If you are a UNT fan and you haven't been to the new stadium yet, you should get out there to check it out. Maybe with UNT in the USA Conf next year, we'll see a better team emerge. Long gone are the days of Mean Joe Greene.

We've being going to UNT games for 10 years and it is great to see them playing in this first class Football Venue - Apogee Stadium. About 24,000 fans on hand for this one. It will continue to get better and better

The only problem with going to a UNT game is parking. Cash parking is soooo far away from the stadium, it's almost further than Cowboys Stadium's cash parking. Unfortunately the foot bridge across the highway isn't complete so you have to take a very long path instead. This will get better in a few games when the footbridge is complete. UNT is a fun football team to watch, and the stadium is a great facility. I wish that they served beer, though.

The new stadium is great! The college atmosphere is great! Every seat is a good one in the stadium.

Parking was horrible - bridge not complete to walk to stadium, team was even worse. The Stadium is terrific - good seats just about anywhere you sit. Was looking forward to a better team than played - quarterback was worst we'd seen in awhile - you'd think with all those players on the roster - one of them could actually throw a ball and hit his receiver.

We had a great time at the UNT football game. The stadium was awesome, and we really enjoyed meeting the people who sat around us. The Green Brigade performance was spectacular, and the highlight of the evening was the drum line solo. The cheer leaders and dancers were also very entertaining. Go mean green!

I wanted to be right in front of the cheerleaders because my daughter cheers for UNT. Seats were perfect!!

the stadium and grounds are incredible clean and the FANS are incredibly loyal. Just look at them ,, so much GREEN being worn by everyone. Its great fun.

The game was Awsome from the football team, the band, the dance team, the cheerleaders all the way to Scrappy the Mascot that was among the fans in the second half!!! The only negative was the parking. I can't believe a better parking layout wasn't thought of. Besides that, the event was AWSOME!
