Avalon At Mohegan Sun New Year's Eve Party

Bartender, Maria, was so friendly and fast. The whole vibe was just fun and celebratory. The DJ was amazing and when people got too "intense" security handled it quickly and quietly to keep the vibe comfortable and fun for everyone.

This is one of the best nightclubs in New England and I highly recommend it. It's very clean, they have lots of security, and it attracts a high-class clientele. However, the DJ on NYE was very low energy. He played a lot of slower hip-hop music, especially after midnight and a lot of people stopped dancing. He also repeated a lot of songs.

My only thing was that the crowd was much older than usual, probably because the cover charge was so much. I paid the early fee of 75. The previous time I was there I had an incredible time. I think the DJ that night was good. I ll definitely return.

Normally, I don't leave reviews..but the way Avalon New Year's Eve Party was handled was so poor, I felt I needed to. Excited for the night, we stood in an expected long line to get into the club..only to wait almost 30-40 minutes to only get told by the security up front that our tickets would not grant entry and we needed to stand in the wristband line. You would have thought the dozens of security that had passed all of us in line could have informed us of this to expedite this process. We headed over to the long wristband line which was made up of people just like us, who had felt they had been ripped off and were angry they could not have just been told when we were in the actual line............ not the case. After that point, everyone in the wristband line made a point to tell those walking by that they too would be forced to turn back...Made it into the club with about 20 minutes till New Years..thanks for starting it off on a good note management at Avalon.

best music ever! I'm 35 years old, was dancing 10pm to 2 am non stop with my girlfriend. 3 bars and never waited more then 5 min to be served. bartenders were quick serving complimentary champagne too. great night!

New year eve for couples and bunch of dudes showing off their booth filled with booze when I saw zillion of girls getting denied entry supposedly being sold out (of guys (yes))!

Arrived on the early side, it being a little after ten. Place was dead. Grabbed some drinks from the first bar... Aweful. I wasn't sold on ordering anymore however my husband still had his cup full so ordered another from the back bar. I believe her name was Marie (short blond bartender) my drink was then made perfectly!!! Only downside is no seating unless reserved. We went early anticipating a couple drinks before dancing as we don't get out often due to our having kids. Had I known Prob would have had drinks elsewhere beforehand. First Dj was just ok. Nothing to crazy. once Enferno started, complete turn around!! The place by then was more alive and can't say enough about his live mixes (he did quite a few). Crowd was good too. Everyone seemed to be there to have a great time, no catty females and tons of smiles. Overall a fun New Years eve. I'd def be back.
