HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.A Chicago company of HAMILTON opened in September 2016; the First National Tour opened in San Francisco in March 2017; and a Second National Tour will open in Seattle in February 2018.  During the 2017-2018 season, HAMILTON will play at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, the San Diego Civic Theatre, ASU Gammage in Tempe, and Paramount Theatre in Seattle, the Buelle Theatre in Denver, Keller Auditorium in Portland, the Fox Theatre in St.

I have been trying to see Hamilton on Broadway for 3 years and was beyond excited when I was able to purchase 2 tickets for my son and I to see it on tour in Houston! I didn't know what to expect with this tour after memorizing the original cast recording. Believe me, we listen to it on the regular! We were both pleasantly surprised with the excellent talent on this tour! They delivered a spectacular performance! Bravo! This is a must see and I will see it again and again :)

This show was so terrific. The cast was so good, such a tight performance. All the cast members were perfect in their roles and the choreography was exceptional! This musical has changed musical theater. Every child should be taught American history in this way!!

Having listened to the soundtrack multiple times, I thought I knew what to expect from Hamilton! Nothing could have been further from the truth! The visual impact and the audience's collective response lifted this experience to another level. Of course, people love this show- it is unlike anything we've ever experienced before. The musical structure of the show is operatic. No dialog. And they seamlessly incorporated hip hop dance and beats into the story. There are many clever rhymes and lot of great ideas that work with this production and bring it into the frame of modern interest. The costumes are mostly uniforms, understandably so, and the few women that have any sort of prominent role are dressed simply without any showiness as if it's an attempt to down play their contribution to the time. It was an interesting choice for a musical. This period of time and Alexander Hamilton's contribution to the development of country was a time of artful diplomacy, creation of a complicated structure of laws and a lot of writing. Not really something I would l think of as drama-filled or song worthy but they put the story across well. Alexander Hamilton's story has always been one of my favorites. I'm glad his contribution is getting in the spotlight once more.

Hamilton was very unique in the sense that the musical was done in hip hop music. It was different, but yet was able to deliver the story effectively. I love the powerful vocals of the male and female leads, especially the females. The supporting cast was ethnically diversified. The energy level was high throughout. The audience reaction was very positive. Though pricey, but I definitely don't want to be left behind. I missed not having Lin Manuel Miranda playing Hamilton.

Was everything we had heard and more. Want to see it again! I would highly recommend listening to the music before going. You can miss some things if you have not heard it prior to the performance. Get to the area early and grab a bite. What a way to make an evening out of it.

One actor plays two parts! One guy is a friend of Hamilton's in a scene and later he plays his 9 year old son. Not believable! I've been waiting a year and a half for this play. I love the music / story! But this was very disappointing.

We saw 'Hamilton' at the LA Pantages at the Saturday matinee. Beforehand we were hoping that we would not be disappointed after all the hype. It was far better than the hype. It was more poetic than like the rap we think we know. Plus singing, dancing and acting. Plus a history lesson. Marvelous.

This is simply one of the BEST theatrical experiences of my life. I have been a subscriber to the Pantages for many years and have seen a countless number of amazing shows but this knocked it out of the park! It towers over some of my favorites like "Phantom", "Wicked" and "Motown". This is stating the obvious to any who have seen it. I highly recommend it to young and old. It's (a) fun (b) educational (c) uplifting (D) thought provoking (e) funny (f) inspirational and finally (g) sad, but in a good way. Alexander Hamilton died tragically and way too soon, but he left a mark on America that now ,thanks to this show ,will never be forgotten.Through this play ,it's songs, rap and music, Hamilton lives.

My daughter introduced me to Hamilton nearly 3 years ago. She was 12 years old. We purchased our tickets February 2016. We had a memorable time. Her smile near left her face. We had the best time. The Pantage employees were gracious and helpful. It was well worth the wait to see Hamilton in my city.

Run don't walk to see this production. It lives up to the hype. The staging works to focus your attention on the actors . The songs replay in your head after each scene. The actors own their parts and give it their all. Most importantly the story is compelling and helps you appreciate US history in a new and eye opening way.

My first trip to the Pantages Theatre was a wonderful one. It was my daughter, my niece, and myself and the people inside were very nice. There could be more leg room. I had to get up and out every time someone wanted to get out as I was on the end. My only other complaint was there aren t enough restrooms for a 16 minute intermission. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. The show was just amazing. More than I was hoping for and seeing the smile on my daughter s face was priceless. The cast was superb and my daughter said she liked them more than the original cast. I would love to go back to this musical and venue.

Buy parking ticket! We went on the day of the Christmas Parade, Hollywood can be a tough place to park when they have all these special events. The show is INCREDIBLE! I won't spoil it for you. Lots of restaurants nearby, from classy and expensive to simple, search on Internet before you go, we ate Hollywood Hamburger right across the street, it was good and quick, bathrooms, too. Enjoy!!

I ve never seen the broadway production, but based on my experience with seeing broadway shows at the pantages, they are always well done, as was hamilton. Amazing cast with amazing voices. I went in with low expectations as there is so much hype and I m not in to hip hop. I m gen x, and usually hate all things millennial. However, Hamilton is a great show; very original with great performances. I d love to see it again if ever given a chance. I think it s the kind of show that may be better the second time around.

You almost don't realize the genius that is unfolding before you until you listen to the soundtrack again after the show. Then you start re-appreciating everything you witnessed LIVE! The set and costumes of this show are relatively simple. It's the storytelling, music and choreography that is so compelling. I mean, who would think a rap battle Eminem style would fit effortlessly in a play about Alexander Hamilton. The acting is flawless--Eliza's guttural cry on stage was hard (but necessary) to watch. The actor who played the King of England provided comic relief. Yes, this is pricey. But I have no regrets. We sat in Orchcenter right seats u 213 and 214. The view from my seat is attached.

I highly agree with Michelle Obama's summation when she said, It was simply, as I tell everybody, the best piece of art in any form that I have ever seen in my life, Also the Pantages is magnificent. A simply breathtakingly amazing feel as you step into the lavish art, architecture and beauty of Old Hollywood history.

I only wish I would have purchased closer seats! The performance was incredible. I'm a singer myself, and therefore, always a little more critical of every detail when it comes to musicals. I will say, however, that everyone in this cast poured their guts and soul into their performance. I was floored and amazed by the voices, not to mention the countless lyrics/rap they had to memorize. I could understand every word of every rap too, which, in my opinion, is a big deal, and very hard to do. The very last song was so powerful, and full of passion and emotion. I wasn't expecting an ending such as this, but can't imagine it any other way. WELL DONE! I brought my 17 year old niece with me. This was her birthday present and her first broadway musical. She loved it so much. The theatre was gorgeous, and the whole experience was one that I will never forget. I want to see it again! I would love to see it in New York too!

The play far exceeded my expectations. Li Manuel Miranda is a genius. The music covered a kaleidoscope of genres including the now famous and recurring opening rap number, My name is Alexander Hamilton . . . . A bonus was Huntsville's own Michael Luwoye in the title role. The seriously subdued ending with a soliloquy by Eliza surprised me. I d love to see a musical with Eliza as the title character. Hamilton is a must-see.

We took a Hamilton history class, listened to all the music ahead, listened to "Hamilton the Revolution" on Audible...and only lived and appreciated it more when we saw it. Staging, lighting, dance, athleticism, rhythms, rap, music, story...so many moving parts that all work together for the greatest theater experience ever....for all ages, late grade schoolers on up!

WHAT A SHOW! It was the kids who became Hamilton fan(atic)s first, and we enjoyed their singing and acting, but were peripheral to it. We bought tickets long ago because two of our adult kids accidentally bought twice as many tickets as they needed...we bought the extras off them. We had a lengthy build-up to the performance and at one point, I thought to sell my tickets because I wasn't sure if I'd like It and they cost so much. We decided to go. The week before seeing Hamilton, we listened nonstop to the soundtrack and read various synopses so we would have a better handle on what was happening during the musical. I AM SO GLAD WE DIDN'T SELL OUR TICKETS! I was enraptured from the very beginning to the last ovation...completely amazing performances by all the cast and musicians. Blown away by the level of talent displayed by Mr. Miranda with the writing of this musical and attention to detail. Particularly enjoyed actors playing Mr. Jefferson, King George, and Msr. Lafayette. Music/hip-hop was outstanding, as was the storyline. Would see it again if given the chance and finances!

I've been listening to the soundtrack for over a year and was able to get tickets on presale the second they were released. Seeing it live after listening for so long was a rush and very emotional! The actors were all so amazing and did a great job bringing all the characters to life. It was immersive and wonderful and I wish I could see it again!

I ve seen Hamilton twice at the Paramount. The theater is incredible & fits the historical theme of the musical. If I could award a Tony to anyone in this cast, it would be Jon Patrick Walker, who portrays King George. Such an amazing performance! His facial expressions had me laughing as well as realizing the madness that the King s disease caused. The other truly outstanding performance was that of Eliza, portrayed by Shoba Narayan. Her vocals were haunting & the raw emotion displayed in the song Burn had me in tears; and when Philip dies...her mournful scream shattered my soul! And nothing to be taken away from the rest of the cast. It s truly an ensemble performance. You take any one member away & it would not be the same. If I could afford to see it again, I would! Bravo!

My sister lives in New York, and somehow, we won the lottery for the original Hamilton cast including Lin Manuel Miranda. It inspired me to change my major to study public policy and volunteer more in my community. This touring Hamilton rendition fueled the fire in me to inspire others to help the community and grow our country. The actors were so ambitious with their singing and acting that it was better than the original! I believe they where able to expand on the original actors roles and smashed it entirely. I bought tickets for my family members and they where stunned at how talented everyone was. Hamilton will live on with amazing actors like this.

Excellent show but I would suggest listening to the soundtrack first of possible because they sing quite quickly in some parts and with the music included it might be easy to miss what's being said. So enthralling that I went out immediately after to get the book it was based on on. Excellent choices for each character, the King and Jefferson were absolutely fantastic!!

Bottom line this show is amazing...!!! For parents with two children in the Arts this was an experience they will never forget and my wife and I will cherish. From start to finish the cast was brilliant captivating and on there mark...!!! I am amazed at the youthful Talent the actors displayed their brilliant voices from the dancers to the set to the tech crew to the entire show was spot on in all categories...Truly Astounding...!!! ! I've been to many Broadway shows but none as compelling as this The entire crowd was in it from the beginning. To put the cherry on the top I would like to thank many of the leads from Hamilton to Burr from Angelica to Eliza to Lawrence and many more for your humbleness and your kindness to come out after the play after the performance after the standing ovation and meet with the crowd sign autographs and take pictures with my children who will never forget this moment...!!! This was my second time seeing Hamilton. It did not disappoint. The story, music and acting are so powerful. Everyone in my party, and seemingly everyone around me appeared to me completely engrossed. What an incredible way to interest humanity in such powerful historical events.

Because this is not the original cast, I was worried that It would be sprinkled with a bit of disappointment. I WAS NOT! This cast was worthy of every track, lyric, line and dance. It was terrifically fantastic!!! My 7 year old daughter sang almost every word and even cried lol so she also gives it 5 stars. Eliza and H.Mulligans really brought it and Hamilton and Burr were also amazing!! I can t wait to see it again!!!! Until then I have to WERK WERK so I can buy some more tickets hahahah thanks for a great fantastic show!

I can t believe I had the opportunity to go. Loved the story line and the performers put on a truly spectacular show. I was a little saddened about the ending. Lots of lighting effects and no dull moment. The singing is beyond words. Would pay to see it again.

11 year old enjoyed the show. My second time seeing Hamilton and was not disappointed. Went to the matinee. Drove from Los Angeles to catch the show. Only issue is the venue, it needs renovation.

This show was absolutely phenomenal! I cried during most of Act II and a bit during Act I, but that was to be expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the cast and the way they sounded, after getting used listening to the Original Cast Recording for two years. The energy was high and the actors knew when to be big and when to be huge. The only complaint I had was that Jefferson wasn t cocky enough, but that was easily overlooked. Even in my Balcony Row AA seats I could see the stage perfectly fine. One of my all time favorite musicals. Shout out to Julia and Rory!! Y all did a wonderful job as Eliza and King George!

My daughter, at 10, is infatuated with Hamilton. It's all she wanted for Christmas it the Vegas ticket prices are insane! She went as far as offering to "sell a kidney" just so we could go! By the Grace of God we got into the San Diego Lottery and was able to get the seats for this event on the 20th. As a single mom, it was worth every sacrifice, every penny! I've never been to a show where I was captivated for the entire time...start to finish. My daughter smiled from 6am to 6pm, she knew every word to every song. She could see everything, the sound was amazing, the venue was perfect! My only regret was not taking my son...so now the search is on for tickets again. We will DEFINITELY see this show again.

I absolutely loved the show! Its a must see! The Civic theater was beautiful and our seats were great. We were in the first row of the balcony but we were still able to see everything really well. I brought binoculars but really didnt need to use them.

This play was phenomenal! If you haven't seen it, go see it! First listen to the music and fall in love with it, then see the show. It's amazing to think of the creativity it took to put this whole play together. The actors were terrific and so captivating. I was not disappointed and had waited a long time for it to come to Los Angeles, then bought my tickets nine months before seeing the play. Had to wait for my girl to come home from college for winter break. Highly, highly recommend.

This was one of the best shows ever. I enjoyed the whole show, not just parts. My 12 year old granddaughter wants to "see it again", and that's coming from a girl who is bored by almost every thing. My whole family enjoyed the show. Anyone who missed it this time should make sure the next time they are in town GET TICKETS. Amazing

When I first booked our seats, I had my doubts that we would be able to see or hear the performance very well. But, the seats were the only ones available that I could afford. So, I set the bar low for my family's expectations to avoid disappointment. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely venue & staff, and our seats were fine. By happenstance, we saw the very last performance at the Hobby Center, and we couldn't have asked for more. The performance was amazing! We all felt magically transported back to the turn of the 19th century. We laughed, cried, and even sang along to the parts that my teenager had forced us to listen to for months. We didn't want the show to end! It was an absolutely hypnotic performance which quickly turned our family into huge fans of musicals. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful touring cast of HAMILTON for the experience of a lifetime!

I really enjoyed the show and would recommend for anyone. Some of the actors did better than others, but it was fairly easy to ignore the bad accents and enjoy the music.
