It was so amazing as usual to see the original members of the Billy Joel band again. These guys made all the music on the best of Billy's albums. Not a cover band. These guys were and are it. A must see for all Joel fans I go every time they play. Cant get enough

The show was really fantastic they sounded every bit as good if not better than the real Billy Joel show every month at the garden the venue was really great I was right on top of the stage and the sound was perfect they also did a lot of older songs that you would never hear at Madison Square Garden

This was more than just a band playing Billy Joel songs, this was the real deal: Billy Joel s original band. These are the musicians that played on all the original recordings that catapulted Joel s music into the top 40 numerous times. Exceptional!

This concert brought us right back to the original concerts we saw and heard many years ago. Recent concerts, although good, were always missing something and now we know what it was..!. These guys are great and should have never been replaced! Thank you so much! Our eyes and ears are so very happy! *Note to Ticketmaster: The nickname on our account should be djgmmt... not sure how to change this. Thank you

This is one awesome band. If you love Billy Joel music, this is the band you must hear. They are not a cover or tribute band, but the original band that backed Billy. Their energy on stage is just phenomenal. It's easy to see they are enjoying themselves and that transfers to the audience. We had such a good time. The Space at Westbury is a really nice theater with a great sound system. The lounge outside the auditorium is great for having a drink or snack before the show. Unfortunately, the bar inside the auditorium was extremely noisy, the people were very rude. Even Richie had to ask them to be quiet when he was trying to talk. Eventually they quieted down. Must have been enjoying the music! All in all it was a fantastic night.

Billy Joel's original band rocked! Liberty DeVito, and Richie Cannata were awesome! So much fun. While I love Billy, it was his loss they are not playing together again. Highly recommend!

Excellent show. The band members are proven veterans and have reunited to perform the songs they recorded with Billy Joel in the 70's and 80's. Dave Clark is a BJ clone in all aspects. Richie Cannata stops the show with his original sax solos on NY State of Mind, the Stranger, Stiletto, Still Rock and Roll, and more. Liberty is playing drums better than ever. Russel is great and of course Dave Clark does BJ better than Billy (sometimes). The other band members are exceptional musicians too. The Space is my new favorite venue. One commendable thing the band did was a "meet and greet" after the show. They are down to earth guys who enjoy what they do and put on a great show. Add a star if you know a band member or two. Six stars from me.

My husband and I were so excited to see the Lords of 52nd Street and were not disappointed. It was an unforgettable evening. The band was fantastic....even better than a Billy Joel concert and not just because the ticket price was affordable. It was also emotional at times when the 3 former members spoke and also paid tribute to Doug (RIP). We would go see them again July 1st. I do agree with another reviewer that it was a very long wait for the concert to begin. The opening male/female duo were very good but it was too long. Still had to give it 5 stars though! It was our first time to The Space in Westbury and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great venue and the staff was efficient, courteous and friendly. Can't wait to go there again.

The Lords were fantastic, as expected! The venue was beautiful and comfortable, and the sound was fine. What almost destroyed the entire evening, was having to wait 1 and a half hours for the Lords to come on!!!! Whoever booked the show decided that it would be appropriate to put a male/ female duo folk act on first who proceeded to bore the crap out of the audience for an hour followed by a half hour break, while the venue attempted to wring every last nickel in alcohol revenue out of the bars. Look, I'm one of the few patrons that actually still loves folk, and if I had seen them on any other night where I, like everyone else in attendance was expecting a folk act, the folk couple may have had a chance. But I like everyone else there was expecting to rock out to some old familiar tunes. I don't think I've ever seen a more tired-looking, disinterested crowd that could only barely muster their most polite-est golf clap after each song. My recommendation: If you are ever going to The Space again, find out if there is an opening act, and if there is show up at 9:15, have a drink and go to your seats. I would have given the review 5 stars, were it not for the aggravation of waiting.

I first saw Liberty, Russel, and Richie with Billy Joel at the Nassau Coliseum in December of 1977 and I saw them numerous times afterwards. These guys were - and still are - the real deal. Although I am a big Billy Joel fan, and although several of my musician friends have passed through his band over the years, I can't watch him in concert anymore, especially not since Liberty was the last of the originals to get the golden toe. Today's Billy Joel shows sound to me like bad Billy Joel tribute shows. Not the case with The Lords of 52nd Street. First of all, I knew Dave Clark was the best Billy Joel guy around from the first time I saw him. "All he needs," I told everyone I knew, "is a stronger band behind him." Now he's got it, and now we all have the absolute best Billy Joel Tribute band in the world! The Lords of 52nd Street bring us back to a time when every note and every beat really mattered in rock and roll. Although these guys are in their 60's now, they play like they are still hungry 20 year-olds loving what they do and hoping, someday, for that big break. I haven't been this energized by a concert since the last time I saw Liberty play with Billy, and I can honestly say that, with him, Russel, and Richie on stage, I didn't miss Billy a bit. The PA mix at this, their first show, was a little rough on the ears, but I'm sure this will be worked out after a few more gigs. Same with the lights, which blinded the audience for much of the set. Still, this show was up there with any of the Billy Joel gigs I attended over the years and I am really glad the blizzard of 2016 made it possible for my wife and I to attend. Get your tickets now. You won't be disappointed!

Venue was great, not too big a room, acoustics, ambiance bar service was awesome. Great place for a show. The band was clearly connected and sounded as good if not better than the original days! DeVito was amazing, Rico was his old self, Javers sounded great and you could tell they all had a great time! Lead singer was as close to real thing as possible and played a wicked key board. All the other band members were amazing. Only thing missing was Doug Stegmeir(RIP)!
