Yes, Los Amigos Invisibles are now down to three of their original members. However, they have retained their distinctive sound and have not skipped a beat with their latest songs. But the best thing is that their live performances are still as kickin' as ever! Lead man Julio Briceño masters the stage like the pro he is, and he and the rest of the band love and respect their audience better than anyone. Good luck finding a better live act than Los Amigos!

What an event! This is such a good band. They interact well with the audience and put on such a good performance. Looking forward to their next local concert. This HOB venue is really nice too. Great atmosphere which amplified the concert experience.

Never heard of Los Amigos Invisibles till that night. The band played for 1 hour and a half straight, no stopping, breaks whatsoever and i find that incredible for any band to do. This show was really fun lots of dancing went on here, everyone was friendly. I dont go to night clubs or dance but i do enjoy watching live bands play which is what The Fonda Theatre always offers, and seeing Los Amigos Invisibles play disco, funk, acid jazz made me feel a lot comfortable to dance while watching a live band play. Overall great night!

amigos invisibles always deliver a high energy show and this was no exception, but this time they were just allowed 1 and a half hour to perform. Also, Diva Gash was supposed to play, but they never showed up, maybe I missed if they said why they didn't perform. Still a great show and you can't beat $5 tix from subway ;)

As always, LAI puts on an entertaining show appreciated both by Spanish speaking and non-Spanish speaking enthusiasts who like to see a great Party Band play live. It does not appear a souond check was done as there was a lot of echo when they were playing; but that could be blamed on the acoustics of the HOB; I've seen them @ the Belly Up in Solana Beach were the acoustics are incredible.

I have seen the Amigos play live 4 times now and it is always a great show! They never disappoint, even with guitar trouble. It's never the same show. Funny, interactive, spontaneous. I also love the fact that they play a lot of their older songs along with songs from the new album. I always go see them when they come to the LA area because it is well worth the ticket price.

Great show! Julio has boundless energy. I love this band, even if I don't understand or speak Spanish. I'm happy they played a lot of songs from "Commercial" - my favorite of all their albums (Arepa 3000 is a close 2nd).

Wonderful musicians and music from Los Amigos. I would nonetheless recommend everyone to wait until Clandestino's DJ is done to actually join the venue. Awful sound, arrhythmic mixtures, really unnecessary pre-show. He should have played just untouched original songs from related bands just to warm up the environment.

The place was great located (just in front of a green line T station) and it was large and clear, the environment was fabulous, the sound was perfect, and, as always, "Los Amigos Invisibles" were energetic, fun and musically impeccable. It was a perfect party night

The songs and the show are awesome. Maybe not enough pauses between songs to let people enjoy, and breathe for a second. Not enough interaction with the crowd either. But overall, the artists are great and talented, the songs are amazing and the show is there. Definitely a concert to attend!

We arrived late to the show and were sorry to miss Ana T., and then Los amigos and nortec brought the house down. Los amigos closed with so much energy, I thought the place was going to explode. The power of the Ipad was seen in the Nortec show as Bostitch and Fussible ditched their Tenori ohs for Apple Ipads. At one point Los Amigos made the place sound like a huge Rave! Keep these shows happening! Zas!

opening act was refreshing...Anna T Played a great set. LAI was awesome like always. loved it. They played a popurri of their hits. wished they would have played longer. Nortec was a new experience for me. Having only heard a song or two, i didnt know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Experiencing them in person was truly the cherry on top for the evening.

The reason this show is only getting 3 stars is because we thought they would be going on last as we thought they were the headliners and instead they went on second! We missed part of the show because of it. Who puts them on second!!!! They should have gone last. I will never attend another show where it is not clear that they are the headliners!!!! Needless to say we did give Nortec a shot but left after the first song....

I am an avid fan of Amigos and in all my 10 years of seeing them play, I have never missed their show because they went on before another group who was NOT the headliner. The Amigos always use their performance time to create a wonder of musical delight.....of their performance there are no complaints. However, who decided that they should go on before 9pm? Who does that??? Next time you sell a show with a headliner and two opening acts, should I assume that the headliner will go on before the others?!!!!! This event was frustrating and a waste of money.

The doors opened late, Ana Tijoux seemed to almost spend an equal amount of time on stage as Los Amigos. I understood this concert to be " Los Amigos Invisibles " with other opening acts. At the end, it seemed like more of a sampler of talent from Nacional Records. Next time I will do more investigating before hyping up my crowd to go see LAI. LAI are great with their fans and normally play a satiable set where everyone leaves happy.

I went to see LAI and thy were awesome. They were listed as the headliners so I expected them to go on last. When I arrived they were already playing so I only saw half their set. Nortec closed and I am not a big fan of theirs. LAI only played 1 encore song and Nortec got like 3. Oh well, overall it was a good show.

As a female who doesn't understand Spanish very much (half Japanese, half French), I LOVE Los Amigos Invisibles! My bf (who is Hispanic), introduced me to this band back in Novemberc, and I've been hooked on em ever since! A friend of mine told me they were performing in LA, and I just had to see them! They did such an amazing job during their performance! They were sweating their tails off, and they all looked like they were having so much fun. I luckily got to stand in the front row, dead center..and I was able to capture everything. They played all of their hit songs, and of course some new ones from their recently released album. They especially played all my favorites!! Mentiras, Dulce, La Vecina, Sueno Erotico, Plastic Woman, Que Rico, Vivire Para Ti, and much more! Honestly, they never once stopped to take a breather. It was constant song after song after song. They also did a lot of transitions from one song to another, and just playing from there. Not to mention their encore was like 5 songs worth! Their openers were two DJs..including DJ Afro. I was surprised that they didn't have an opening band. But..I'm happy..because it was worth the wait and anticipation. One of the crew members from LAI handed me an "after show" pass during the concert to have the opportunity to hang out with the band! Lucky me! Though we didn't stay too long afterwards, I got to see them lounging around and talking with their friends and what not. They seem very down to earth, and just fun guys to be around. Can't wait for their next show! Hope you enjoy the pictures, and I'll be posting the videos later on, on my YouTube! AyumiPULP :]

Amigos Invisibles ALWAYS prove how great musicians they are through their fantastic music! the performance was very entertaining and they succeeded giving a great ambiance in House of Blues last Saturday. The venue made it intimate and affordable although I could have saved a significant amount of money if I'd have purchased the tickets at the door. The only real BAD thing about this event and the reason why I gave a 3 star versus 5 was because of the opening band. It was all the opposite from what the people went there for. I totally understand it, I get it, every music has their own audience, Amigo's audience wasn't for this opening band. It was simple, a total different tune, they didn't even bother to give eye contact to the people, it truly felt it was only a gig for them, lack of respect for the public. Amigos is about music and their signature phrase: "gozadera" which means joy, fun, party. Maybe this is a promoter issue (shame on you in that case), but this was an insult! I was very annoyed by this, good thing Amigos kind of fixed it.

I simply had a fantastic time dancing my behind off to the great music of Los Amigos Invisibles! I really love the different styles they incorporate into their music: some jazz, salsa, blues, rock etc. Their characters, positive energy, their musical skills & styles and playing with the crowd makes them a unique band. Saw them in San Francisco and was very happy to see that they were in NYC the same time I was.

5 Stars for Los Amigos. I wasn't as familiar with their latest album, but they put on a great show. They played some new stuff and some of the their past hits and concert favorites. I had a great time. 3 Stars for the venue. This was my first time at the Parish. I had been to the HoB back in the day when it was in Downtown Disney and I liked the old, bigger venue better. The "Parish" didn't feel very inviting, it was like an industrial space they tried to minimally decorate to give it a Parish-y look. It was on the smaller side, but I guess the sound was ok.

I don't speak nor understand Spanish. I came to know Los Amigos Invisibles because it was offered as iTunes freebie one time. Even so, I'd heard only two songs of theirs, but I really like the two songs. So I grabbed a Latina friend, who only know only one song, to go to the show.
