This was nothing like i expected. I'd never heard of them before my son needed to see some type of preformance for a humanities class. There were people of all ages kids to my 79 yr old mother...everyone enjoyed it...i bought their cd & cant wait til their new cd comes out this summer...well worth it...these guys are so gifted...excellect show

Great performance by the artists. The venue was very appropriate and the smaller more intimate venue definitely enhanced the sound quality and overall performance. The artists remained after to sign cds and took photos with those that wanted them. Will definitely make it a point to support them at any other of their performances and/or events.

Words cannot express how WONDERFUL the Black Violin performance. I brought my five year old son and he was up dancing the entire time. I was in tears when the young men played the classical music section. It was beautiful! I hope they plan to come back next year because I didn't get a chance to take my students to the day shows and I want to take them. The young men said some positive words to the kids and I love that! I pray that they continue to do positive work and much success in their lives.

I have been looking for a hip hop violin concert every since I saw a different set of African American men playing the violin at the university in which I attended undergrad. While I was just playing on ticketmaster one day, I was elated when I came across Black Violin! After I bought my tickets to the show, I encouraged everyone that I know to buy tickets because I know it would be an awesome experience. I was not disappointed in the least bit! I had an amazing time and i would definitely pay to see them again.

My daughter plays the viola and introduced me to this duo. I'm really glad that she did! They were amazing and worth going to see. They played all types of genres and I feel like there's something for everyone. I had no idea that one of them sang as well. You won't be disappointed checking them out.

I never thought I would enjoy a concert that featured string instrumentalist. This is my third concert and I plan to see them every time they come to town. My son said he loved the way Kev Marcus smiled as he playing. He was also impressed the way Wil B made the viola sound like he was playing a guitar. The concert was fun, classy, family friendly, inspiring, and left me longing for more. After a roaring ovation from the crowd, they came out and played another song. These guys really know how to please their fans. Even more powerful, my son had an opportunity to meet Kev Marcus who gave him words of encouragement. I took my partner who stated "This was better than any Rock concert he'd ever attended." He purchased several t-shirts and all 3 cds... He's in love, as am I, with the Black Violins.

What a concert. Both energizing and refreshing. I missed the 1st weekend of the NOLA jazz fest and drove 350 miles to see the duo and I am so glad I did. My 3 sisters who came 300 and 600 miles to join me at the concert in Memphis were equally impressed. Ironically we gained an appreciation for classical music listening to their unique fusion of classical and hip hop. The talent of these young men is humbling. Their passion for the music was evident in every note. They are true virtuosos. I will be following their careers avidly from now on. Signed A Fan For Life.

This was by far the most entertaining performance I have attended in a really long time. I attend live concerts and performances 5-10 times a year. I am a lover of the arts. To see Black Violin turn what I love, symphonic strings, into a thing of glorious beauty was overwhelming. The music was everything. The feelings emoting throughout the building were unbelievable. The passions of Black Violin, their DJj and percussionist were projected from their instruments into the atmosphere. Casa Manana was the perfect venue. It was quaint and intimate. There was nothing to complain about. These artists put on the best show. The lighting, the staging, everything. Bravo to those who brought them to us, in addition to the staff in the lobby. I traveled over three counties, from work, on a Friday, in the metroplex to make this concert. It. Was. Worth. It.

I've been a follower of Black Violin for a while now, but to see these guys live and direct!!! Truly inspiring, emotional on every level knowing their background and their future! They will continue to inspire all around the world.. I put money on it. They don't just showcase themselves and their own talents but they lift up their own team - DJ and drummer, both on point!!! This was one of the best shows I have attended thus far. My son is playing the viola for his school's strings class and a friend of mine told me about Black Violin. So I researched them and shared their story with my son. When I found out they would be in our area I decided to take him. I purchased their latest cd for him ("Magic" is his favorite song on the album) and we've been following them ever since. We really enjoyed this show and it was a great experience for him because not only did he enjoy their performance he also got a chance to meet them. Taking him to this show really boosted his confidence in playing his instrument (he dubbed himself as Black Viola :-) ) If they ever come back to this area we will be right there!! I bought tickets to this event as a way of exposing my boys (ages 11 & 12) to music from a classical instrument, but presented in a different/modern way. I had never heard of this artist before, but the description sounded like something we'd all be interested in. Well let me tell you, Black Violin didn't disappoint! The concert was fun, energetic, and had me bopping my head right from the start. The performers have great energy and synergy that made their music and the performance greatly enjoyable. I would totally see them perform again!

I d heard so many positive things about Black Violin. I thoroughly enjoyed their range! I also loved how the youth orchestra was incorporated into the show. I actually regret not taking my god daughter to the show as she is a preteen violin player and would have appreciated the performance and the message. I would definitely go see them again. I also liked the ATL Symphony Hall venue! The lighting and acoustics were awesome. And they offered reasonably priced concessions.

This was the most wonderful event. Talented young men that took a different twist in order to become successful with their talent. I LOVED IT!!!!

Nothing like I've seen before. Classical music with some stank on it. Great crowd interaction. And I loved that they invited a local elementary school orchestra to perform with them. They were great, too.

I knew that I would like the show, but did not think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. It was absolutely amazing, and it broke stereotypes and norms about black men and the hip hop community. I will definitely see them again. And the guy on the turntable played it like he was playing an instrument. GREAT SHOW!!!!
