Being an avid Rush fan since 1983, seeing Rush retire in 2015 bummed me out but I knowing Lotus Land is near by, my love for Rush will live on thru the efforts of these incredibly talented musicians. Many have already said it. Chris Nelson's vocals sound like Geddy Lee from the 90's, very crisp and true and the bass playing is mid boggling. Bob Chartrand's guitar work is about as spot on to Alex as one can ever get and his deep voice in "Subdivisions" is so true to the studio cut. His musicianship is second to none. Mark Dalton is exactly what his band mates refer to him on stage as, "He's an animal back there" and just let your imagination run wild on that one. He's incredible. The solo, WOW! The set list was pretty standard and they threw in a surprise by playing "Kid Gloves" from "GUP" from 1984. Always a treat hearing about a minute's worth of "Roundabout" by Yes in the middle of "Working Man". Not only is this band enormously talented and spot on to Rush, but they are also very nice guys and very available to their fans whether on FB or in person after their shows. Totally worth your while to travel from anywhere to see this amazing trio play!

Chris Nelson's voice sounds exactly like Geddy in his younger years. The band recreates Rush like no other. Excellent trio tribute.

These guys are fantastic! My description can be summed up by saying that they are as exact in their playing and vocals as the original band was intheir early days...if you close your eyes, it sounds like the original recordings...just phenomoineal...an excellent show all around...I will see them every time they come to Showcase (which is an acoustically excellent venue)

We saw Lotus Land on October 1st at Showcase Live in Foxboro. They could not have put on a better show. There is not one thing I would change about their performance. If you are a Rush fan this is a must see band! My husband & I will be going to all shows from now on.

To be able to play Getty Lee bass lines with accuracy and precision is a feat in and of itself. To be able to sing while doing this, is even more amazing. But, to sing exactly like Getty Lee? While playing those bass lines? Throw in that he LOOKS like Getty Lee?? I wonder if these guys are some sort of alien clones of Rush, they were THAT good. Drums were right on and the guitar was perfect. The atmosphere was nice, after enjoying a good meal and the service was excellent, I highly recommend this show. No bad language and I did see a few kids there, so it was fairly family friendly as well.

Lotus Land is a terrific Rush tribute band. Chris Nelson's vocals are very close to Geddy of the mid-80's. Bob Chartrand and Mark Dalton do an excellent job recreating the sound of Rush. This show was truly a celebration of the music of Rush. The band members' respect and affection for the music was obvious. Showcase Live is a great venue. The food was very good and the service excellent. Imagine seeing a rock show in a place that's neither dirty or really crowded.

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE....EVERYTHING WAS RIGHT AS IT WOULD BE IF YOU WERE SEEING THE REAL THING. HOWEVER THE SOUND GUY HAD IT SET WHERE ALL INSTRUMENTS WERE BALANCED ONLY IF YOU WERE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE BAND. THIS DID NOT RU-EEN THE SHOW AT ALL...GET SHOW FOR THE MONEY. I HAVE SEEN LOTUS LAND AT OTHER VENUES AND THEIR CONSISTENCY IS UNMATCHED. ALWAYS A GREAT SHOW NO MATTER WHERE THEY PLAY.

First off I must say I consider myself to be an avid Rush fan and I was extremely skeptical of a Rush cover band. I was pleasantly surprised by Lotus Land. Right from the start they took the stage and played note for note and beat for beat some of Rush's best tunes. The vocals actually sounded better than Geddy's as his voice has changed a bit over the years. The drumming...which obviously is the highpoint of Rush music... was almost perfect. Not saying anything bad as he did a fantastic job and the guitar work was amazing. All and all Lotus Land made for a great night out listening to Rush music. I will be watching for them to return because I want to see them again.

Great show for Rush fans or music fans alike. Beautiful venue. Easy in and out. Nice restaurant and bar. The band was great. Stayed for photos and talked with the band after the show. They played more songs in Sellersville PA. earlier in the year and the sound was better at the other venue. Stage and lighting much better at Penn's Peak. Overall a must see!

First of all - in the interest of full disclosure - I am a Rush fan. There, I said it. I've seen them on every tour since 1982 at least once. I also play drums, and have off and on for many years. The whole idea of a Rush cover band seemed almost absurd to me. You'll hear or see a song or two out on the Web and think "close, but no cigar". But I happened to see these guys open a local showing of the Rush documentary with about a half-dozen songs and my immediate reaction was "wow"! Rush is no doubt a "musician's band", in that much of its audience play an instrument to some level of proficiency. With that in mind, I feel I need to add my $.02 in. When you go to the shows, you will not be hearing 3 guys trying to do a "note for note" duplication of every Rush song. Some other reviews on here might lead you to believe that is that case. It is not. But these guys have got it right. You can't replace the original. Thus the word "Tribute". And what an amazing tribute it is! What makes these guys stand above their peers is not their musical prowess and love of Rush - it's that intangible "something". Like when you watch a stand-up impressionist do his rendition of someone famous. It's never exact, but there's something about the performance that makes you think: "yeah, he IS that guy!" It might just be Chris Nelson's truly stunning vocals. He's doesn't sound just like Ged, but at times, he IS Geddy. And make no mistake - these guys can play. They have yet to do a song from Tom Sawyer to Cygnus X-1 where I've thought "oooh... so close". If they play it, they nail it. And they have a wonderful report with their audience. They come off being very down-to-earth and appreciative - not unlike Rush themselves. These guys are coming into their prime in a very interesting time in Rush's career. One thing I can assure you - I have yet to talk to a Rush fan at one of their shows who wasn't "blown away". If that isn't reason enough to go see Lotus Land, then I don't know what is.

Ok, saw Rush for the first time during the Signals Tour in Dec 82 and have been to numerous shows over the years. I can honestly say this was my first time to see Lotus Land Rush Tribute and you would be HARD pressed to find difference between these guys - seriously. Differences obviously in the stage show itself - sure, with over 30+ years of doing shows and the money behind them, Rush can pretty much do whatever they want, including rotisseries on stage, but given time and following, LLRT is certainly well on their way to greatness. The music and effort was pure, old stuff, new stuff, pretty much anything a Rush fan wants to hear, without the cost ;) See them, hear them - enjoy them - I know my wife and I did and WILL again. Thanks guys!

Can't imagine a tougher band to cover than Rush considering they have the the greatest drummer to ever grace the stage and one of, if not the greatest, bass players of all time. These guys nailed it!!! Their lead singer sounded EXACTLY like Geddy and played bass EXACTLY like Geddy!! Any Rush fan will be blown away by these guys!!! Couldn't recommend them enough and I've seen Rush about 7 times.

Let me begin this review by saying this was the 3rd consecutive year I have traveled from Rumford, Maine to Salisbury, Massachusetts(a round trip of 5 hours) to see Lotus Land. I knew what to expect musically and vocally. And yet, Lotus Land continues to surpass my expectations. The Blue Ocean Music Hall is set up like a dinner theater-round tables with 6 chairs each. My wife and I attended with another couple, and the other 2 seats were taken by a couple who were first timers. It was fun to sneak a peak at their expressions during the show. Lotus Land does not draw the casual Rush fan, or music fan for that matter. Chris Nelson, who plays bass and keyboards, sounds so much like Geddy Lee that if you closed your eyes it would be difficult to distinguish between the two. Bob Chartrand on guitar plays Alex Lifeson to a tee, and Mark Dalton on drums is exceptional. To cover Neil Peart, who I consider one of the best drummers ever, is no easy task. Some of the highlights of the show included "Red Barchetta", "Tom Sawyer", "Freewill" "Closer to the Heart" "Trees" "La Villa Strangiato" "YYZ" "Xanadu" , heck I could just as well say every song. Two sets of music, approximately 2 1/2 hours of Rush to the sublime. DO NOT pass up an opportunity to see this band if you are a Rush fan.

I just have to say if you never had a chance to see RUSH live, this is your chance because the band Lotus Land plays RUSH music to the T with incredible spirit ! I brought my teenage daughters who are fans of RUSH by default (because of me) and my older daughter had experienced a live Rush concert and said to me " they sound exactly like RUSH. If you are a RUSH fan than I highly recommend that you check them out on youtube .I would be willing to bet that you will be checking their touring schedule shortly after.

Lotus Land is simply the best tribute band around playing the catalog of RUSH. I've seen them 6 times before and the show never fails to impress. Chris, Bob and Dave do an amazing job of playing arguable the most difficult band RUSH.

I have to say that these guys are the best Rush impersonators I've ever heard. They've nailed everything to recreate and authenticate the sound and style of Rush. That includes the stage antics, instrument tones, MIDI, and to top it off, Chris Nelson's vocal range, which matches Geddy's so closely, it's scary. I was also amazed at how much they could perfect from Rush's catalog: any of their music, new or old. Even though Rush may be retired from the road, Lotus Land has it down for when we still want to hear Rush's music live.

I've taken to settling for cover bands recently because the prices of concerts have gone up considerably. I don't care if it's the actual guys playing I just want to hear the music, but it's got to be good. Lotus Land is the Poor Man's RUSH, they sound exactly like RUSH for a fraction of the price. The lead singer even looks like Geddy Lee. A novice RUSH fan would not be able to tell the difference. The place was packed with RUSH die-hards and they gave a standing ovation.

These guys do an awesome show and are only a smoke machine and pair of silk robes away from the real thing. First time seeing Lotus Land (as were much of the audience), but everyone I made contact with were extremely impressed by the show these guys put on (a difficult achievement considering Rush is a musicians band). Close your eyes and you'll think your at a Rush concert. Not a note-for-note reproduction with guys dressed up as Rush, but three extremely talented musicians covering songs close to perfection. I will now follow this band as much as I did Rush.
