The Jannus Live was great, the people there are very attentive and made sure my group had the best experience. VNV was spectacular and Ronan was very interactive with the audience. This was such a blast!

Having never seen a VNV Nation show before I wasn't sure what to expect but was really pleased overall with the show. The music was great and Ronan is a hell of a showman. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the encores- its lame when a band only plays one song for 1st encore and then does a 2nd encore- not too mention that they wanted an awfully long damn time to come on for the 1st encore to begin with.

This was the 2nd VNVN concert I've been to. it was a great show - small venue, lots of energy, fans who love VNVN and not there just to go to a concert. Ronan gets really personal with the crowd and seems to be all about the fans.

Wow. One band, 3 and a half hours, 28 songs, and a great crowd. This is the best VNV Nation show we have ever attended on land. Loved Janus Live as a venue as well. Good drink and food vending and not too crowded. The only complaint would be the sound was a bit too bass-driven on a few songs, which made it a bit uncomfortable to listen to at times. Otherwise, great energy from Ronan and Mark, Gabriel and the rest of the VNV Nation team. The crowd was awesome and intense.

I have seen VNV Nation for the last 16 years and I don't know how they still can keep up the intensity, make people sing, dance and just feel liberated. Love there music and lyrics where I wish this show could of gone another hour after almost 3 hours and 15. it was just pure essence!!!! Love you guys and can't wait to see you again somewhere on this planet for another enormous experience. If you love to dance, collaborate and meet a great band I suggest to go and listen to there music and specially live.

It was fun and the energy was good. My only complaint would be not many older songs were part of the venue. Kind of a bummer, but the show still rocked! Traveled from Vegas to attend their show!

Always incredible, though Ronans vocals overstep the rest of the music and he sings them however he wants, he keeps the audiences attention at all times and never fails to deliver the experience theyr there for.

Don't get me wrong, VNV nation is amazing!! Tho song and music are breathtaking and the band loves to interact with the fans a lot. I have only one small criticism - sometimes the engagement can be a bit too much. Lead singer Ronin obviously likes to get the crowd pumped, but sometimes he'll start off a song and then throw it back to the fans to sing along or finish off the lyrics. This can be fun sometimes, but I feel he just does it too often. The lyrics are intelligent, beautiful, but also long. Sometimes we don't always get a chance to memorize every single song. So when he starts singing one, and then expects the fans to join in and finish it, it can be disappointing because not everyone know the lyrics and it kills the song. It feels like we just keep interrupting the song. It's like karaoke gone awry. It would be nice if they just sang vast majority of the songs so I could enjoy his smooth vocals (not other peoples') and dance to the music rather than having to keep showing him that we're all singing along. Besides this, the band is awesome and they love their fans. So this review is more about the concert experience and not so much the band. The band would get 10 stars!

You won't find a frontman move side-to-side on a stage with more synergy and passion than VNV Nation's singer and songwriter, Ronan Harris. While just about all of us in the audience had to take a break from moving after a few songs, Harris went the entire night with only a few short breaks. The music and words produced are so profound they've literally changed lives. To go along with his witty antagonism to get us moving throughout the show, he emphasized his appreciation for all of us. It definitely felt like a family-oriented atmosphere. This truly sets VNV Nation apart from every other band is through their genuine appreciation and grace for those of us who are fans.

ok for starters the opening act, WhiteQube was actually pretty good. He suited VNV Nation well and got the crowd going with alot of excitement like he an opening act is supposed to. now there were few issues with the show itself. none so major that it would keep me from loving the show. the first is that both the opening act and VNV went on late. WhiteQube at 8:30 or so and VNV at 9:45. the doors opened at 7. the other issue was audio feedback. no not constant loud screeches of ear splitting feedback, though there were a few minor ones, but more of a constant wail coming from a mic or 2 during the latter part of VNV's set. this issue i believe was a little venue related and by no part VNV's part. now for the part y'all were waiting for. VNV Nation put on the best show i have ever seen. few bands can fill a room with so much excitement and play to the fans as well as they did. Me being one that does not dance and does not really get into concerts much at all, i found myself "jumping when they wanted to see jumping" clapping when they wanted to see clapping and just outright enjoying the show. but i'm not the only one that got into it. i dragged a friend along for the ride. he is incredibly smart and incredibly socially impaired. i have never seen him dance, i have never seen him really enjoy music, and i guarantee that he has never been to a concert outside of maybe the symphony. i dragged him to this concert as a sort of mind game to see his reaction, and well i think he was enjoying it just about as much as i was. i have never seen him dance or smile listening to music. he did both. i think i will drag him back next time. now back to VNV's show, the band has a sense of humor unlike some of the other bands i have seen. a few things they did was make a joke about piracy and the fact that "end of days" is actually "Further," and then they burst into short reference to Boys of Summer... Also my favorite part of the show. then at one point in the show at the start of the first encore they gave away a signed keyboard/synth from an old/early tour. They played many of my favorites and quite a few from their new album, TransNational. Outside of the aforementioned feedback, all songs were well played and very enjoyable. they had a good mix of the new and old. they started with something from TransNational, then did one of their more popular songs. then about 3 songs in they cracked a joke about how some people come to their shows for only illusion then played it. they played more from TransNational (joked that the audience did not know the songs YET) then played more hits followed by one of their old old songs. more hits and more stuff from TransNational. in all i was very impressed with the show and the band, the personalities and the energy. i would have to say that this was the best show i have ever seen. i have newfound respect for VNV and that hunch that this was a show that i did not want to miss was rightfully satisfied.

VNV played a really amazing show at the masquerade. It was the most love I've ever experienced at any show let alone "Industrial/Goth" show.... I believe we are dawning into a new area here in Atlanta especially the era of the Hippie Goth... the finally stage of goth. People think goth is all about death which is false. IT IS ABOUT REBIRTH AND LOVE

A night full of dancing, laughter, and positive vibes! No, this is not a jamband review. This is VNV Nation. A band that brings hard hitting electronic music. I found myself mesmerized and in tune with every song. This was my 7th time seeing the band live. Every show is special, but this particular one was soaring! VNV Nation never holds back in a live performance. On this night, their range went nearly full spectrum. It was a long set list, and at the end, despite my body being soaked in sweat, I still craved more! We are only human though. I couldn't have asked for a better time. As long as this band continues to tour, I will be there in a heartbeat.

VNV Nation is very well known for their highly energetic shows. This show was no different, and was every bit as exciting. Ronan and Mark were very interactive with the crowd, which is not something you see in many concerts! They grabbed an audience member's cell phone and continued her recording from the stage point of view! Must have been truly unforgettable for her. Not a dull moment throughout the show. Even songs that the majority of the audience did not know were enjoyable, as crowd participation was encouraged. Finally, the opening act, Whiteqube, was excellent as well. Their highly energetic stage performance, marked by their hypnotizing light effects certainly set a good mood for this show. We should be on the lookout for them to break out onto the scene soon. Overall, great show from one of my favorite bands, and I cannot wait to see them again!

The concert was simply amazing! VNV-Nation really rocked! Great energy, great performance, really nice to the public. One of the very best concerts I've been to for sure. The concert was pretty long, and that felt really great. Everyone was dancing, jumping, singing, and enjoying themselves. I'd go see VNV-Nation again. Bowery Ballroom was a pleasant surprise too- no lines, no fuss, everyone was pretty friendly. The layout is great there for concerts like this, as there is always opportunity to be closer to the stage or go to the bar, or downstairs lounge.

My first concert in 25 years. This group ,which I found on an internet music provider, is now a group I listen to constantly. This concert was an atmosphere of human high powered energy. The performers were utter perfection with a palpable love of their fans. The lead singer was charismatic and had a voice that was a solid beautiful, like a pristine marble pillar, who also knew how to communicate to his audience and ignite their hearts with true passionate belief and dedication to the ideals the lyrics praised.

Ronan puts on an amazing performance! Constant energy, interacts with the crowd on an individual level, gives you shit if you aren't having fun, encourages crowd participation, asks us how we're doing, and then gives some of the best speeches i've ever heard a musician or human being period make. There was nothing I did not like about this show! VNV Nation put on an incredible concert, playing songs from as far back as 1998! The venue was a club rather than a stadium and it was small and intimate. I was shocked it did not sell out. During the after-party, the musicians made themselves available to fans and simply mingled in the crowd. Absolutely awesome night in Boston!

A bargain price for a Hope Diamond show. VNV played well over 2 hours for the closing show on the 2011 tour. Playing songs from previous albums and songs from the newly released album, "Automatic", they kept the crowd moving and singing along for the whole show. Not only that, they came out after the show to sign autographs for the fans. My whole entourage will try to catch at least one show when they return to the U.S in February for part two of their U.S. tour. Great band and great show!!!!

This show was fun from beginning to end. The opening acts were good and quite entertaining. VNV Nation was amazing. Ronan is so personable, I love that he makes everyone feel like part of the show so that it is more of an experience than a concert. He stresses that while he doesn't care if you snap a few shots here and there or record a bit of the show, he wants you to step away from the camera and not miss the real thing. "Enjoy what you're seeing right with your eyes, don't end up watching the show through a 2 in screen and end up regretting it later." I've seen VNV Nation live 3 times now, and it always gets better...I would definitely recommend seeing them live at least once.

VNV Nation was great! Their live performances are so moving that you can't help but to dance and move. And if you don't move or dance, Ronan will make sure that you do; even call you out if he has to. We got their early and waited outside for 5 hours. Ronan came out and talked to the around 10 of us that were there. He asked us where we came from and all that. When the show did start, I got front row, as you can probably see by the pictures. Ronan and Mark have amazing energy and can keep the crowd going. There was a small break because of a computer malfunction 2 songs in and Ronan pointed at us and said "There's the Knoxville people" and we were like "No, they (meaning some other people that were waiting in line early with us) are from Knoxville, we're the ones from Johnson City, TN." His remark was just "Us Europeans and our damned geography". Afterwards, Mark went out to the bar, so I waited to meet him, and found Ronan in the parking lot. I asked him for a picture and he ushered me and told me to come back and party with him, but I was like, "I gotta drive 5 hours back to Johnson City, remember?" I will definitely next time. (when he came out early to talk to us..) "You're awesome Ronan!" -some person "Me? No, I suck!" -Ronan Harris

I've heard from past shows that VNV Nation doesn't sound as good live in concert as they do on their records. While this did turn out to be true, nevertheless the show rocked. Ronan did a great job making up for his voice not sounding as good live with his personality, energy and interaction with the crowd. One thing that didn't go well had nothing to do with the band but I arrived way to early and ended up leaving a half hour before they stopped playing all their songs.

I truly love this band that have so many wonderful songs and a lot of them they played at this show. They played most all tracks from Empire/Burning Empires and Automatic..and a few B-sides from Empires like "Further" wow!!! I saw them live once before in 2002 and it was and so 15 years later I caught this show. I remember in 2002 there was a power issue at the venue and there was a lively fun discussion with the band and the audience that was well clever and I remember that connection. This time around it did not work for me-- I thought the audience and band interaction was distracting and interrupted the performance of some great songs. Almost every song was interrupted by a joke or comment about camera phones. Truly I share Ronan's disdain for camera phones but bringing it up on nearly every song was tiresome to the point that I was getting bored as I knew the song was going to again be ruined. I will buy future VNV nation albums and singles etc but probably will not go to another show. Thanks for coming to South Florida though.

Seeing VNV Nation live has long been a dream, but I had no idea how much they would exceed my expectations. This was hands-down the most amazing concert I've ever been to. It wasn't even really like a concert... it was more like a party with a bunch of your best friends. It was life-affirming and blew my mind. Even my partner who had said "I hate electronic music" had an absolute blast. Highly, highly recommended. The three stars rating is solely because the floor was so sticky I couldn't properly dance and the bar staff put ice in Ronan's scotch...when the headlining act asks you, from the stage, with a microphone, for a scotch with no ice and water, it's bad form to screw that up in front of a room full of witnesses.

1,400 miles in 3 days for 3 hours and 10 minutes of continuous hits from my favorite band\u2014a montage of the music that has absolutely carried me through these ten years and more. It felt more like forty five (45) minutes. The crowd was everything I've come to expect\u2014cheerful, respectful, introspective, eclectic and diverse. What a magical time.

I have seen VNV Nation live so many times I have lost count. What made this time special was it was the first time my sister, who is autistic, was old enough to come with. VNV Nation has been her favorite band since I introduced them to her 8 years ago. It was also the first time my boyfriend saw them live too. So ... we get there 20 minutes into the VNV Nation set .. sorry Straftanz .. thanks to having to leave late. As soon as we walk in, the crowd was going nuts. I was more focused on finding the bathroom then what the first song was. As soon was we found a place to stand, Epicenter started. From there they played about 3 more songs. I spent the majority of the time watching the joy on my sister's face because the night was all about her. My boyfriend even started to dance .. and he is one of the most stoic people I know. We ended up going to the other side of the crowd so we were not having to let some one through every 30 seconds and I was able to let loose with the little room I had to move and I danced. The place went dark and people started to leave. I smiled as I grabbed the arms of both my sister and boyfriend and said "Just stand here." They listened .. and as a few more people cleared out we moved up. VNV Nation took the stage again and as soon as I heard the first note .. I squeeled and grabbed my boyfriend so hard he almost fell over. Beloved is my favorite VNV Nation song EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nova followed (which is now my BF and my song). My sister was dancing and smiling so big .. and of course VNV NATION was impeccable. There is something so refreshing to see a group at that caliber, who not only puts on a great show, that can laugh at themselves and have as good a time on stage as we are on the floor.

Drove from central Florida to Atlanta, GA for this show. I can honestly say it was worth every penny of the trip and the long ride both ways. Would certainly make it again!

VNV Nation always puts on a phenomenal show. The fans are extremely devoted, and Ronan is brilliant at engaging the crowd and building an awesome atmosphere. Masquerade is also an excellent venue with a lot of character.

The show was amazing! VNV performed and Ronin brought tremendous stage presence and audience participation. He got the crowd going and the energy was electrifying. They played then performed 2 encores. Each encore was 4-5 songs. I lost count of the total number of songs but they rocked the house for 2.5-3 hrs. Best show I have ever seen!!

VNV Nation never fails to astound, bringing a positive and fun vibe to Atlanta every time they tour. They mix deep and powerful emotion in the music and lyrics with a humorous and hopeful outlook in the witty banter with the crowd. The end effect is one of unity and joy.

I've listened to VNV Nation for years but this was my first time seeing them live. These gentlemen seriously deserve our support. What the *@&#D is wrong with our radio stations in the states? $20 a ticket. VNV Nation played for almost 2 1/2 hours with 2 encores. When I say encore, I mean they came back and each time played several more songs. Oh and there was an opening band Straftanz who were pretty good in their own right. Seriously...20 bucks...I've paid a heck of a lot more for shows that were not half as good as VNV Nation. These guys feed off the energy of the crowd and the more you give them the more they give back to you. It was an experience I won't ever forget. VNV Nation will make you feel they are there for YOU. That your night with them is the most special night of their life as well. The sincerity they express during the course of their concert makes you believe and really takes you to a whole nother level. Run to see them the very first chance you get. I swear you will not be disappointed. I would recommend VNV Nation to anybody who loves MUSIC. I cannot recommend them high enough. The Masquerade as a venue was not the best imo but I went to see VNV Nation, the venue honestly made no difference at all. The music was perfect and I'd dare say they are even better live than on CD. The small venue made the experience even more personal. I'll be seeing them every chance I get from now on.

You'll always enjoy a memorable show @ VNV Nation. Ronan engages the crowd totally, unlike some performers who have a memorized routine. The opening band, Straftanz, was also lots of fun! A perfect compliment to VNV. To VNV Nation, Straftanz & everyone who was there, Merry Ravemas!!

This was my second VNV Nation concert and it was just as good as the first. The group doesn't disappoint when it comes to choosing a variety of their songs, and they're all very personable and love crowd interaction. Can't wait for the next one!

The venue is tiny, felt like I was in someone's house. Not a bad seat in the house. For a "synthethic" band VNV sounded incredible. The vocals were perfection. VNV nation are so engaging. They made sure the audience was having a good time, asking for participation. I trully felt that band was making eye contact and genuinely cared about the audience. My husband who is not familiar with industrial/goth music was very pleasantly surprised at how positive, friendly, and endearing the band was. And their music.....there are no words the DRUMS AMAZING! the power the words. Wonderful Show definetly recommend everyone see this band live.

Industrial/EBM/Synthesis Pop live acts are generally tough to gauge: you can't tell how well each musician is playing their instrument, the vocalists generally focus on what they're saying versus how well they're singing it, and often times there just aren't enough to musicians on the stage to create any real presence or energy on the stage. VNV Nation, thankfully, is not one of those acts. Ronin, the vocalist, is one of the most energetic front men I have ever seen on a stage. He constantly engages the audience, is funny, quirky, very charismatic, and most importantly, conveys the energy, meaning, and intensity if his songs. The band behind him interact with him accordingly and provide a solid musical backdrop to Ronni's performance. The musical performance varies song to song, either being very true to the original recording (for newer material, generally) or with varying amounts of live interpretation for their older material. Most of the time, the changes are to accentuate lyrics or inject energy into the show. On rare occasions I'm disappointed by these interpretations, but most of the time they're spot on and add to the song's overall performance. However, the best part about going to a VNV Nation concert is the audience. They are dedicated fans that love what they hear. With Ronin's prompting they sing along, chant, cheer, and dance along with the music. At some shows, especially general admission ones, crowds are mixed bags: there are people who are cool and respect others, and then you have drunk people who often act, shout, dance or moshI and chant with no regard to others. These individuals are generally people you have to tolerate in order to enjoy a show. After seeing over eight VNV shows, the audience on way occasion tends to be supportive, engaging, and full of energy. Most importantly, they are also in love with the music. Their love and adoration is potent and can be felt by even those who are not fans if the band or even the genre. The audience adds to show, gives the band the extra energy to perform, and makes going to a VNV Nation show an enjoyable concert experience. I highly recommend for those who enjoy the genre, for those who wish to be entertained, and especially for those who love the band.

Amazing show! They played a mix of both the old and the new, so fans of either type would have totally enjoyed the show. Ronin loves New York City as well as his fans, and you can tell by his performance he was being truthful when he said so. Absolute great time. Would definitely recommend seeing this band live to my friends.

There was an unbelievable amount of energy from this band. It's very hard not to move around with you listen to them. I also have to admit they sound every bit as good live as they do on cd if not better. If they come to town again I will definitely make time to go see them.

Ronan was highly interactive with the crowd, joking with us and pushing us to become a part of the concert instead of just watching. The light effects were also amazing. The show started with a bunch of fog and an old school countdown on LED light boards. They played their older stuff as well as their newer, and I almost wished I was old enough to be a club kid in the 90 s, to be able to dance to them when they just came out. The show ended with "Perpetual" and all of us (Mark, Ronan, and the crowd) singing "Let there be, let there always be, never ending light."

The show was incredible! It was a night I will hold dearly in my heart! Although, it was a bummer to find out that the VIP portion of the ticket was the following day which i was unfortunately unable to attend due to having such a short notice sent to me. Other then that though it was an awesome pumped up show. The venue was beautiful and intimate, and I would definitely do it again !
