Fly lo's layer three show is the future of entertainment. The visuals and the music will take you to worlds and feelings that normally only drugs take you. Taking drugs then watching the show is also encouraged. Mix the fly lo with captain Murphy and its an amazing back and forth

FLying Lotus killed it! Thundercat and Peralta didnt seem to be in the correct venue. Completely different musical styles had the audience restless and I could actually hear more conversation among them than the music itself. Felt they should have had some more flair to stand up against Gaslamp Killer, who tore it up! That hair was wild and the beats hard. Great show overall though

One of the best dance parties I've been in awhile.

Been one of the people following these artists since Lincoln Height's Low End Theory had 20 people standing in front of a speaker. These artists are TALENTED. but the show was AWFUL - it seemed like a bunch of underground musicians uninterested in playing true quality sets for a mainstream venue/audience. Bummer :/

FlyLo and his Brainfeeder pals rocked the Music Box Thursday night. If you like electronic independent music this was Nirvana. Loved everything about it and the theater is great for intimate concerts. First time I have been to this place and it was really cool including a rooftop terrace. I can't wait to see FlyLo's next gig!

I was looking forward to see flying lotus again since I saw him play in a small club in Paris, France, last year. This concert was more experimental and less danceable, I specially liked the different rhythmic changes and lineups. Alice Coltrane meets Squarepusher, that would be the direction this concert was for me and I would like to see him play again.

From the opening Strangeloop, to Teebs, to Mr. McFerrin, Austin Peralta and Thundercat to the headliner Flying Lotus, this was a consistent performance of sonic bliss. The array of sounds (and sights courtesy of the projections behind the performers) and styles made for a delightful evening.

Flying Lotus. is. the. best. His show was extraordinary. He had Just Blaze, who is the man who made hip hop beats ridiculous and off the walls, appear as his friend and perform. Also after the show he sat on stage on talked to EVERYONE who wanted to talk. It took almost 30 minutes.There is nothing more to say.

Seeing Thundercat come onstage in a Dragonball Z costume, feathers coming out the back of his hat and a 5 string bass was too much for a few people in the audience. This man truly knows what s up. He and Austin Peralta joined the master of ceremonies, Stephen Ellison, for an unforgettable closing set. Just like a good host should, Flylo entertained all his guests and communicated with both the audience and the band. Ellison stopped the music for a while to talk to the crowd and take requests from an group of screaming fans yelling out some of his most obscure work, some of which was leaked and never officially released. He must have enjoyed the crowd s fanatic energy because we heard a handful of those unreleased tracks and they were incredibly awesome. During his set with, all three musicians were constantly improvising and building lines off each other s ideas. Every so often Flylo would cut the beat out to give either the bass or keyboard a chance to take a killin solo break. The group was having a fucking blast and so was everyone in the audience. Thundercat was featured during his single For Love I Come and MmmHmm off of Cosmograma. Flying Lotus dropped popular tracks like Massage Situation, Tea Leaf Dancers, Kill Your Co-Workers, Auntie s Harp, and Do the Astral Plane. Some artists perform songs different than on the record because they can never do it as good as the studio take. Flying Lotus does the exact opposite by creating new songs in the moment based off of original studio material that are in some cases cooler than the original. He did a fair amount of sampling too, bumping his remix of I Feel Like Dying by Lil Wayne, sampling Paradise Garage by Squarepusher (also on Warp), Idioteque by Radiohead, Yonkers by Tyler the Creator, and more that are lost somewhere in my brain. Between playing Alice Coltrane to singing a song about DMT, Flylo had played the most eclectic DJ set I ve ever heard. No one is forgetting this night anytime soon.

Honestly this was better than any concert I could imagine going to. The opening acts where so good I was thinking, damn how is he gonna top this, then Lotus goes up there with Thundercat and Austin Peralta and just does some of the most unbelievable shit ever. It was a jazz show, a rave, and a spiritual experience all at once. This 70 year old dude went up to him after him after the show and said, "I saw John Coltrane live at the Village Vanguard, and this was the best thing I've seen since then." I think that says it all.

Flying Lotus was good on his own, but the problem was that he played most of his set with Thundercat and some keyboard playing white kid named Austin, who didn't seem as though he had ever played a keyboard in his life. Simply put, the show was a mess...it just sounded like noise. Flying Lotus kept saying, "We don't know what the hell we're doing." Boy, I could tell. I actually found the openers more entertaining.

Greatest show i've ever been to. I've been to over 300 shows.This topped them all. Club Nokia has the best sound system I've heard in a venue. Absolutely incredible! Best time!

I was simply in awe of being in the presence of the master beat-maker himself. He played a good variety of his music along with a nice set of other tracks while rocking an Aphex Twin t-shirt, which was one of the artists he opened with. I greatly enjoyed when he dropped Erykah Badu's "The Healer" and my favorite part was when Fly Lo played and sang my favorite song "Do The Astroplane." The nephew of Alice Coltrane put on an exciting and energized performance that was well worth the 5 hour round-trip drive from Maine to Boston.

Honestly, I was there primarily for Little Dragon, but I do like Flying Lotus as well. Unfortunately, his set experienced technical difficulties, so we didn t get the full effect. As a result, we left a little early. I m sure had everything been working for him, it would have been better. I also didn t like when he found out there was an issue he refused to play, pretty much threw a tantrum, and walked off the stage leaving concertgoers confused. A bit unprofessional.

There were technical difficulties with the 3D screen, which wasn't Flylo's fault. I've seen FlyLo before when he toured with Solange back in October 2017, and it was amazing. This time was still good, but you can tell he was peeved and annoyed by the fact the screen was not able to work. Little Dragon and BBNG were great. Although Little Dragon was an opener, their set was a good length compared to FlyLo's. Flylo's show felt very short and rushed, probably due to his frustration with the 3D screen. Many people left after he announced the 3D screen wasn't working which was a bummer. I stayed till the end, only to see that the screen worked on his last song. Hopefully this doesn't happen in his future shows because he's a great performer overall.

Fly Lo came on u were told to put on 3D glasses. 3D show worked for 10 minutes then screen went blank. Fly Lo stopped music and said on mic "not playing music until we fix this s___" comes back to play for 15-20 minutes with blank screen in background. Sound was good but no visuals. The show visuals worked in the end for 10-15 minutes. Sound was good but no visuals for a majority of the set. When it did function properly looked amazing tho. Wished it worked 100%. :(

The sound was too Bass forward for little dragon. You couldn't hear the intracacies in their music. The 3D display had technical issues for 80 percent of Flying Lotus set.

The show was great up until the main act, flying lotus was up. His DJ set was good, but felt incomplete with the technical difficulties of the 3D effects. The 3D show was what I was most excited about besides seeing little dragon and bbng. I felt the flying lotus set could ve been the opener and little dragon the main act.

first two bands were awesome. Flying lotus was quite disappointing. Only played an hour set even though he was the headliner and his visual show was broken for half of it?!? pretty disappointing especially after following two great performances from little dragon and badbadnotgood

The 3D Live aspect of Flying Lotus' set was not working until the last 2 songs. The artist was obviously frustrated, and I felt like I didn't get the show that I paid for. Little Dragon was great.

Show was great. Little dragon and badbadnotgood killed their sets. I was excited to see flying lotus' 3D visuals but they weren't working. He stopped the show once pretty upset . Beautiful night nevertheless. The Greek is always magic

I was super stoked for this show ESPECIALLY because it was mor on the expensive side I figured it would be amazing. When I arrived I was greeted with 3D glasses so that seemed awesome. Once Flying Lotus came on, there were all kinds of technical malfunctions, the bass sounded blown out (couldn t here the music well) the 3D display wasn t working.. so it was sub par at best. He also kept leaving ge stage because he wanted them to try and fix it, but at the Greek you re on a rigorous performing schedule so I m sure he had no choice. I would ve given one star if it weren t for Little Dragon that gave the show any justice :( all in all, paid too much money to be that disappointed.

I have seen Flying Lotus perform at the exact same venue last year and there were no technical difficulties. I was quite disappointed. I felt bad for him. Hope the issues clear up soon.

Flylo and Little Dragon were amazing. If only the 3D screen at the Greek hadn't broken a 1/3 of the way into Flylo's set. This review would be 5 star. It was definitely a bummer. It started working again towards the end of the show, but he played the majority of the show without it. The Greek should've given everyone something for the mistake.

Little Dragon was most enjoyable. I enjoyed flying lotus as well. He did seem to end a little early and abruptly, I was surprised he didn't come back out. Maybe he was feeling some type of way about his 3D effects not working.

Badbadnotgood were on for far too short a time, and then at the climax of the night Flying Lotus' 3D visuals didn't work at all. People left early, the atmosphere died and the huge impact of his visuals was nowhere. No hint of a refund or alternative show from anyone either.

Fly lo couldn t get his 3D screen working. Stopped the music for ~ 20 minutes in the middle of his set. Finally got the screen working at the end for the last song, then stopped playing ten minutes early. tickets were like $50 and I drove an hour. Super disappointed.

Flying Lotus is amazing! He puts on an awesome show every time. I am never disappointed. The 3D show was so cool. Shout out to Sosotopic and Tierra Whack who performed as well! I enjoyed all the artists and DJs.

Blown speakers. Doors opened two hours late. I️ left like halfway through. Flylo is the shit but the venue blew it :(

FlyLo as usual put on a good show. The 3D light show was incredible. However FlyLo had complaints about the venue/sound/management. A friend in a different part of the venue told me he could hear a blown sub, and there was a little mic feedback. The concert started 2 hours late and felt like it was cut short. The venue blamed this on a broken down tour bus but I'm not sure I believe that. I liked the vibe of the venue though good bar service. All in all an unforgettable experience. I'd kill to see that 3D show again. Love FlyLo's productions.

The show was fun but after standing three hours we were drained.

They were scrambling to put the stage together through the entire 1st act, stalled even further with some knock off skrillex dj, then couldn't get the sound right for half of Fly Lo's set. Bass was way too loud, you couldn't hear half the layers, his mic had crazy feedback... It was really sloppy but he pushed through. I would have been pretty bummed about this show if the visuals weren't so good. Definitely need to catch him again when everything is working correctly.

Event said doors at 7, show at 8. Huge line outside theater in the cold and doors didn't open till around 8:30. Show didn't start until maybe 10 and instead of THUNDERCAT opening there were 2 pretty bad djs. All during the opening sets there was stage crew fixing stuff. Fly lo made a few appearances during the openers but didn't play any music and kept going off stage until he came on officially around 11:30. When he finally came on he kept having sound and mic issues and literally got into a shouting match with the tech people off to the side. The whole crowd was rowdy and drunk and kept yelling that the music wasn't loud enough. Overall just an actually terrible experience. The visuals were cool but I would have paid maybe $10 for the show I saw and definitely wouldn't have driven an hour and a half to see any of these performers.

Even though the openers were trash, Flylo always brings the funk and the best light show in the business bar none. I think of Montreal and GWAR are the only acts thay come close to the stage show Flylo puts on. Great set with lots of nuggets for electronic music heads and anime fans.

Flylo only played for about an hour, one of his openers was decent but the rest were just not what I expected. Got some conscious hip-hop when I paid to hear some experimental EDM, was a bit disappointed. Flylo put on a great show albeit it being a bit short. Would see him again.

I have no words to do the show justice. I've only seen a handful of people perform, but this was the best show by-far. It was exactly what you might expect from Flying Lotus, surreal electronic music creator, movie director, pairing up with psychedelic visuals. In 3D. If shows get any better, we're going to start having to make them illegal.

Infectious grooves, trippy 3-D visuals and an enthusiastic crowd made for a great evening of entertainment. The mojo was there. Would recommend seeing this artist live.

The graphics were mind blowing & beats were funky!Definitely a must see!I saw him perform at Coachella and i was blown away.

Next time leave the DJ at home but George, Thundercat were GREAT!!

One of the worst concert experiences I've ever had. Flying Lotus was so loud it was deafening. I spoke with two venue employees outside who said in their years of working at the Fox this was the single loudest show they've ever been to. Additionally there was a blinding white light they kept flashing right in the audience's eyes. I left feeling horrified and violated.

The visual show for Flying lotus was an a amazing adventure into a crazy 3d landscape. Super great. Thundercat and his band are amazing as well. Over all one of the best show I have ever been to

Flying Lotus brought his audio visual experience to the Wiltern and broke new ground on what a concert should be. Situated in a cube with immersive visuals surrounding him this was the closest thing to a psychedelic trip while still being sober that you can get. The only downside was when he stepped outside and rapped on a few songs. This broke the spell he had cast and kind of stalled things but still kudos to him for creating an entirely new music by combining EDM, Jazz,Rock,Noise and genres as yet unheard. I can't say I understand what he's doing but I like it!

Great venue for flylo. The light show projected on his dj booth/cube was too gnarly, and his set was perfect to match. Sold out crowd but the vibes were all good (usual knuckle heads you run into during shows but nothing crazy). Thundercat always did a great opening set, and Hannibal doing a couple jokes was a nice surprise. Its my second time catching flying lotus at terminal 5 and like last time it was a dope show.

Flying Lotus is always amazing! He always puts on an amazing show. Cant wait for next time!

I've seen Flylo 3 times now and this was by far the best live show. The general concept of the show was tight. The first half seemed to be about life..then grim reaper comes out and you die...then the music makes a shift in tone which i believe is about resurrection. The visuals were a big highlight as well. Trippy drawings, and 3d shapes all whizzing by as the tunes massage your ears. Was really cool to hear some well-known songs get remixed for the live show. Also enjoyed that he dropped threw in a few new exclusive Kendrick verses. Really dope show, Flylo!

very entertaining, professional, the paradise is a great venue because no matter what, everyone at the show has a great view, the prices are great, the sound is always on point, Ive never had a bad experience at the paradise. and when its an artist like flying lotus, no matter where he plays its going to be an unforgettable time.

I could not stop watching and listening and loving this show! First time seeing Thunder Cats and Flying Lotus live and they both were incredible! The effects of Flying Lotus was so creative and entertaining and mind blowing! I loved it obviously.

A truly amazing and unique experience seeing an artist further pushing the boundaries of music, doing shit no one else has done or could do. Only 2 drawbacks to the show: 1) Too much focus on the visuals, overly trippy in your face videos got to be a little corny and in the way of the music. 2) Both thundercat and Flying lotus played only an hour and change each. Everyone was really disappointed how short the show was that said im already at the next show he plays around here

Flying Lotus unveiled his new show last night at the tabernacle in atlanta. It's the bomb. Crowd was dope. Everyone had a great time, but none more than the man himself. Thundercat was also awesome. Don't sleep children.

I've never been so thoroughly blown away by a show. He was amazing beyond EVERYTHING!!!

My son and I were extremely excited to see FlyLo, Teebs and Thundercat at the House of Blues in Hollywood last Saturday. We are true fans since FlyLo's humble beginnings and this venue is one of our favorites in LA. The house was full and one gig followed the next until it was Flying Lotus' turn...at 1:15 am. Now I have to say that we are night owls ourselves and that we rarely go to bed before midnight. But going on stage at 1:15 am was a bit too much for us. I wish the night had started at 7 pm instead of 9 pm. This way FlyLo would have been able to start his gig around 11 pm (which is usually his time to go on). We were so exhausted and had to leave early for that reason. We were not able to see the entire show which was a real bummer. I hope this reaches the management so that next time we won't have to wait 4 HOURS!!! for our artist to go on stage.

My wife and I got there at 9:30 (doors opened at 9). We spent the next 3 hours listening to other acts we had marginal or no interest in, even though only Flying Lotus was listed on the ticket, before we called it quits at 12:30. Even if he did come on after we left, he couldn't have played a full set because the venue would have had to start shooing people out around 1:45. What a bummer. I love his music, and he seems genuine in interviews, but I'll definitely avoid his shows in the future. Who knows what you'll get? I definitely feel deceived.

Good show, 5 acts total. The only issue I have is with the House of Blues only having seating if you are willing to pay $100.00 extra.

He ended the show by singing happy birthday while music played w/o anyone behind the turntables--that pretty much speaks for itself now doesn't it? What a letdown.

I have seen him twice before and both times were amazing. I've loved his work for 5 years, and there was no way I could miss seeing him again. But this show was awful. There were a few times that he just completely stopped the music and then he climbed down and started MC-ing, and I couldn't even understand what he was saying. Everytime the music started getting good he would switch it up to some generic trap song that everyone has been playing for the last year. I would have enjoyed it more if he just put on one of his albums and hit play, I am serious. I want my 84 dollars back for the two tickets I bought. I took the night off from work for this too. There was no musical innovation happening that night, and I do not understand why because his album Cosmogramma was like nothing ever created before. He owes me an explanation! Was he just drunk?

Teebs, Thundercat and Flying Lotus were all incredible. FlyLo was one of the best sets I've ever seen, I'd see him over and over again.

I'm an avid music listener. I've been to the Fox Theater before to see many types of music and I must say, this last event I went too, was my best experience so far. The Fox is very nice, comfortable, energetic venue that allows you options for your style of enjoyment. I was saddened to miss the first two acts but was overly excited to get inside just in time before Thundercat started. First, I went and grabbed a beer and the bartender was very friendly and polite. He and I chatted about music, of course, for longer than I expected too. Price for a Lagunitas IPA is $7 for 12 ounces. Expensive but I understand convenience and alcohol at a show... What are you gonna do?? Thundercat was awesome! This three piece band is a group I am somewhat familiar with but never disappointed. It's a jam style that you have to have a taste for because it's just a constant flow of improve. It's basically a jam session with friends, rhythm and creativity. I'm always impressed by the amount of sound they produce! Moving bass lines played by their front man, saucy percussion and that pianist that night, laid down some very melodic flows. Loved them, as usual!! On to Flying Lotus... I have to say that the only reason why I went to this show was for this man. A friend of mine who lives in Fort Collins, CO told me if I ever have a chance to see this guy live, take the chance... I wouldn't be disappointed. She was right!! From what I was hearing on youtube and other forms of internet information gathering, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this artist. Wow, I was wrong to think that I wasn't going to like him. He was so smooth and his stage setup was extraterrestrial and dreamy. It was like flying through space at light speed passing shapes and color changes. Lotus had one misstep that I caught, when one song was ending and he was mixing in a new beat and he lost his way... He ended up stopping the mix, shutting down the song and starting something completely new within a second or two. It was very cool to see that he is so involved with his show that even he gets lost on what he's doing to crowd haha!! Other than that Flying Lotus was absolutely, hands down, amazing. Fox Theater has a funny acoustic problem that towards the back of the room, behind the seated area that has the master control pit. The bass doesn't reach me as smoothly as I believe it could. Love this venue, loved the show, loved the people and I will definitely be going back soon! #peacelovehonor

The show was dope. Flylo played a few too many songs by other people (though I loved the Kendrick Lamar and Portishead cuts) and the crowd was weak--Very, very weak. It's a shame too, because it was apparent that people were digging the music. People were just apparently too awkward to move, which detracted from the experience.

This show was mind blowing in so many ways. I couldn't believe that I got to see Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Teebs and JSP (might have the name wrong). This was unbelievable. Loved every second of it and danced my butt off. Highly highly recommend seeing him. Out of this world!!!

all music performed was excellent - this was JPS, Teebs, Thundercat, Flying Lotus. Venue has a good quantity of ' good viewing spots' if you utilize the balcony. Sound was good. Flying Lotus visuals were excellent. great show!

Flying Lotus was hands down the greatest performer I have ever been blessed with the opportunity to see live. There wasn't anything that wasn't great about this show. Thundercat was amazing and so was Teebs. I never wanted the experience to end. Come back to Boston!!

FlyLo was AMAZING! I really went just for him and Thundercat, never heard of Ultraísta...Thundercat started off the show and he was good, but I had already watched YouTube videos of him and FlyLo live and I saw how hyped people got with FlyLo on and I wanted to feel that, so I was kinda bored out by Thundercat...but he was good live. Vocals everything, he played 'Daylight' and I was ECSTATIC, that is one of my favorite songs ever. Ultraísta sucked..their songs were too long and boring, played like an hour/hour and a half set, and I swear they only got like 5 songs out...they were that long -____- FlyLo, like I said already, was AMAZING. Played a good mix of his early stuff and the newer stuff (Until the Quiet Comes), the light show was banging..I really wanted to go to the Monday show too, but my friends were all too broke to go. :/ definitely plan on seeing them (Thundercat + FlyLo) again next time they're around my parts

Mega good hot shit. Blew my mind. Flying Lotus was the best show I've seen at Terminal 5. Who did the motion graphics? The design was brillant- Flying Lotus glowed like a musical Jedi and rocked the HAUS. Thundercat was hot, and Ultraista sounded incredible. Loved every second.

All that I can say is that it was an amazing show. When thundercat came on he just sounded incredible, the band had a nice dynamic that wasnt overpowering(you know how sometimes bands get that "crunchy" sound when playing live) It was like sitting in the studio during recording. I think he was sick too, but it didnt stop him from taking it to the next level. Fly Lo killed it, I mean come on what else is there to say. Would see again any time!

Awesome audio and visual experience. Would travel 140 miles again to see Fly Lo! His energy with the crowd is intense and his set list filled with unreleased tracks in addition to hyping up his catalog with nuances not heard in their original form make u feel fortunate to have attended his show. P.S. He connects with his fans afterwards to sign purchased merchandise. I don't even have a turntable but I do have a signed copy of his latest album on vinyl and signed poster.

First off, I'm still mad I doubted going to this thing. I've been familiar with Lotus for a minute but money was tight and even at $20 I was sketchy. Then I watched Teebs video that Masquerade had posted for him and that confirmed it. Got there at 7:50 and waited till about 8:20 to get in. Then this unknown DJ started things up around 8:30. He eventually told us he was JPS from Australia. Dude was proper on the tables. Then Teebs popped out and blew me away with his set. Extra chill, the music ranged from serene to laid back. He's definitely slept on by many. Thundercat came on and did his thing which was cool to. A little different from the mood of the night since Teebs and JPS were mixing whereas Thundercat had a live band and did vocals while on bass. A change of pace but still the he got the crowd hype with his sick bass playing and the drummer went hard as well. Round 10:40 was when he wrapped up and then came FlyLo. Epic does not even describe what took place. He did Daft Punk all by himself. It was a visual tour of digital landscapes and vibrant amalgamations of colors. He played new tracks, hinting at doing a radio station for Grand Theft Auto V, and did new Captian Murphy songs. It was bananas. To end the show he hopped in the crowd and banged out a Captain Murphy joint. Everyone went crazy. All in all best concert I've ever been to in life.

This show was magical. Flying Lotus and Thundercat were both amazing performers, and Teebs and JPS opened the show with some amazing music.

I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Me and some friends got there around 9:30 even though doors opened at 8. We got there just in time for Thundercats and then Flying Lotus came on right after. It was pretty incredible. The lights, the music, everything was mixed right there on stage creating an original setlist. I loved it. Everyone was hype, he even stopped his set so that everyone could take pics and then we could dance afterwards.

Though there were a few knuckleheads trying to start some unwanted mosh-pits, this show was amazing. Teebs, Thundercat, and Flying Lotus did their damn thangs lol.

FlyLo played at the Fox with his new Layer 3 visuals and it was literally the greatest thing I have ever seen live. He played lots of material from all his albums (including Melt!, Camel, Do The Astral Plane, and lots of cuts from his new lbum) as well as some intense bass-heavy bangers. He also threw in some Kanye for good measure too.

This gathering of Brainfeeder artists was a fantastic showcase of the talent of their roster. Flying Lotus shows love when he comes back to LA to finish off his Until the Quiet Comes tour.

the show was amazing! didn't care too much for jeremiah jea but everyone else killed it! nice to discover teebs - new fan! gaslamp killer was a nice surprise - mega feels the music, loved his energy! and lotus? WOW! walked away a super ultra fan. the graphics were cool, the stage set-up was simple, clean and awesome! even saw lotus dance for a stick and we came up to the crowd!

This was one of those things in life where you HAD to be there, seriously something I will never forget. BRAINFEEDER >
