Both teams played well, although UNO obviously played a bit better and got the win. The UNO goalie was amazingly good, one of the best I've ever seen at the college level. UND had better passing and teamwork but it wasn't enough to overcome UNO's goalie. UNO won the match 4 to 2 on Saturday, which is when I attended. I guess I should have attended Sunday's match, which UND won 3 to 2. The venue was good too, with a great view from the seats, good sound and camera work, and very pleasant fans. I was the only UND fan in a sea of UNO fans and they didn't make me feel uncomfortable, which was nice.

Upper sections give you a great view. Hockey gets into your blood. People of all ages there. The setup really knows how to get the crowd into the game. It is fasted paced until the horn blows. Following the team side change is also fun, standing in the food court area.

Definitely loved the atmosphere and the hockey was pretty darn good too! I cannot wait until UNO starts selling this place out every game!

This was the first game that i have gone to this season and it was one of the best games that i have watched the mavs play.

Let the good times roll. Had a fun time with kids with plent else to keep them entertained.

We had a great time. The crowd was awesome and the fans were so fun! We had a ton of Wisconsin fans behind us and they were fun. They were having a good time too, despite their team losing. The atmosphere is what brings us back time and time again.

My roommate and I were able to go to this game, and sit one row off the blue line. We had great tickets and the people we sat by where friendly and kind. They also knew about the sport of hockey and we could talk to them about what needed to get done. we were apart of the largest crowd to attend a hockey game in the state of Nebraska. If you can get low seats for 20 bucks by all means do it!

The game was fun with all the activities going on. The atmosphere made it fun and memorable to be there.

Even tho the Huskers were playing at the same time, we had a great time at the hockey game. We had connections with both teams. I was amazed by how many North Dakota fans made the trip down. Almost outnumbering the Mav fans on Saturday night.

Friday night was fun, Omaha fans very friendly and happy to be playing UND. Saturday night sat by a fan who was different than the Friday night fans!

The Qwest center is a good place to see a game and Coach Blais's brand of hockey is incredible. It is highly recommended.

Love the choosing your seat for mav games now. We enjoy the mavs games and the exciting crowds.

Great game but row to close to glass and could only see action in 1 end of rink. Better available seats higher for cheaper but ticketmaster did these as "best available".

This was one of the greatest experiences that a true hockey fan could've enjoyed. Great atmosphere and was very well done. Sioux yea yea!!

Maverick hockey is good way to spend a Saturday night in Omaha.

UNO hockey is always entertaining and we go whenever we can.

Had a great time - I was skeptical for a "girls night out" to go to a hockey game, but we had a great time! One of my favorite parts was that there were really good beers for sale!

A group of 4 highly passionate Gopher Hockey fans travelled to Omaha to watch the Gophers take on UNO. The arena was amazing. Atmosphere incrediable! Very hospitable.

Took my son to the UNO hockey game and we had a great time. It's not something we do often just attending a game once in awhile. Was well worth it.....

Attended UNO Hockey game vs. Minnesota-Deluth on 1-14-12 - awesome game! Attending athletic functions at the Century Link Center is always fun. Great seating, great food, fun atmosphere! Student Section was near us and very respectful. Can't wait to go again.

Thought the event was very good. Event was far from a sellout as there was many many open seats.

The contest winner, Francesca Cutrera, did a great job of tossing out the first puck! Could be I thought so being her grandmother! This was our first UNO hockey game, and we were impressed by the level of play. The fans were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was a good first visit to a UNO hockey game and will not be the last.

It was a great time, it would have been much better if UNO won but that is the way things go.

UNO Hockey has really stepped it up these past few years and this game proves the action. Despite loosing it was still an action packed game. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Not to mention the seats were awesome and beer was cold!

Since we had row one seats, it was amazing. There were many tickets available for the game since the Cornhuskers were also playing. If you want to see an UND game up close, the Qwest Center is the place to go. I have been trying to get tickets at the Ralph in Grand Forks and have not been very successful.

This was our 1st every Hockey game and it was fantastic. The whole family really enjoyed it. My Daughter will be attending UNO in a couple of years and I look forward to attending several more.

Perhaps the UNO fans should read up the basic rules of hockey. I felt that I was at a home game for UND!!!

It was a great game to have for homecoming week. The games was very interesting and the student section was extremely fun to be in. Hockey games are always fun to be at.

Good match...ended in a tie and end of regulation, the end of the 5 on 5 skate and the 3 on 3 skate extra periods. We lost on the shoot out.

Great venue overall! Excellent customer service, easy access and lots of choices for food or beverages.

It was a good view even in the oxygen seats. I was sort of surprised that it cost over $100 for 4 tickets in the highest possible row.

Baxter arena is great. The Omaha Mavericks are exciting and fun to watch.

For parking-go across the street and use the free parking garages at Ak Sar Ben. Short walk, it's covered and easy to get out of. Love the area. If you can, get there early and go to one of the bars, sports bars or restaurants. It's a great location with so many places within walking distance of the arena. Spirit World is a fantastic option too for food and drinks. The arena is great. Great sight lines, lighting is really good. I've had no issues with food either and tried most of it. My son loves the cheeseburgers and fries combo.

Loved the new Arena, and of course the hockey game but we did miss the first period as we were not informed of the time change. Other people mentioned that they were late too as they were not aware of the time change. Also, the parking sucked. If the lot is full, they should inform with signage the lot is full. Plenty of parking if you had reserved a space. Someone was in our seats so we just sat one row below. The Arena was not full, so very surprised that I had limited seating available when I purchased the tickets.

First time at Baxter arena and it is a beautiful arena with great sight lines for UNO hockey. The free parking was all the way across the creek via a bridge and quite a distance away from the entrance. Close by parking seems to be reserved for season ticket holders and "BLUE" something or another people. So on a slightly windy very cold mid-teens evening, we had to walk a very long way with coats all buttoned up, etc. It was not pleasant in the least. Also there was a problem with the game time. Our preprinted Ticketmaster tickets showed a game time of 7:07 PM. The game actually began at 6:37 PM. Not sure how the time change was announced or communicated but we were never notified and only made it for the start of the game by accident. Thousands of other people must also have not been notifed because when the SOLD OUT game began the arena was only about 50% full. Lots of pople had not arrived. Which means that if they had been notified parking would have been twice as crowded and we might have had to park in Lincoln!

I held UNO Hockey Season Tickets the first few years they played in the Civic Auditorium. You felt like, no matter where your seat was, you were close to the action. The New Baxter Arena feels the same way. The only downside, The food could be improved (two dry/hard pretzels ended up getting tossed out by our kids). My family and I really enjoyed our time there.

I would believe every seat in the house would be great. I sat nearly behind the net but in the last row with PLENTY of leg room and an awesome view. As a Big guy, seat size and leg room were not an issue. We ate before at Voodoo Taco (very fast and fun with great eats) & used the garage behind them (easy in with fast out). Based on traffic, parking before the game on a Friday night by the arena may be a slow option. UNO may consider moving home games to 7:30 to accommodate people working until 5p, trying to get home to grab the family, and trying to get back to park and enjoy the views. Great night!

Great game all the way through...but late in the third period UNO scored to make it 3-2. CO takes out their goalie for another offensive player in an attempt to score and comes close. UNO almost breaks one away but CO catches up and works it back down around the goal. UNO finally breaks it loose and runs down the ice for a score that clinches the game with about 50 sec left. CO concedes to the loss and puts their goalie back in. Awesome way to end the game!!!

Always a great time watching the Mavs play hockey, but this game was the best!

Awesome arena, fans, game, and old town Omaha. Definitely be back next year.

Great venue great seats what could be better than center ice up against the glass, the north Dakota fighting Sioux to our right and the Omaha mavericks to our left great night of hockey

Both teams came into the game highly rated and they lived up to the billing. Friday night Omaha won in overtime and Saturday night North Dakota won in overtime. Hockey doesn't get any better than that.

Only been to one game before years ago and it was a great time then. Now, they play in even bigger arenas and the atmosphere is unforgettable.
