SoMo

In 2012, SoMo—aka Joseph Somers-Morales— independently released his mixtape, My Life, after growing a vast following by uploading popular renditions of new and old classics to YouTube. A powerful, palpable, and passionate collection, My Life merged R&B spirit with pop soul, showcasing SoMo’s dynamic voice and his songwriting prowess. The mixtape spawned the Texas native’s first hit "Ride," which began selling 10,000 digital tracks weekly- prior to any radio support or label backing. At the time, the accompanying music video, directed by Dan Gotti, quickly amassed over 3 million views which has since grown to nearly 14 million.

I didnt know about this artist prior to seeing him in concert. I was taking my sister bc shes absolutely in love with him. Well needless to say the show was amazing and i have all his albums in my playlist now and most songs memorized!!!! Will definitely see him again. Hes now in my top 5 artists!! How did i not know about this man!!

This show was my nineth time seeing him, I flew all the way out from DE to ATL just for this event and like every SoMo concert I've been to, I had nothing but the time of my life. SoMo sounds exactly like he does on the radio as he does live. This alone is perfection. The concert was phenomenal and easily the best one I have ever been to, and I have been to many concerts. For his Meet and Greet, he is the most humble amazing person to meet. He makes you feel special and is simply perfect. The only complaint I have is that some people who didn't buy meet and greet were able to join us in the pit, and many of them pushed us forwards and shoved through us to get closer. There should be a gate separating the groups because we paid extra and some of the people got closer than us and made our experience horrible in the beginning.

I never saw the email that told me when the meet and greet would be its turns out that the email was in my spam folder. Who looks in their spam folder? I barely do. I was super upset that I missed the meet and greet but the concert wad unforgettable! SoMo reached down, held my hand and sang to me. Also, Power Surge had an after party at the casino across the street and I ended up meeting SoMo and the other bands so it wasn't so bad. I'm going again!

The show was awesome. I actually brought my 15 year old daughter and two of her friends. They had an amazing time! They loved every minute of it. They were excited that Somo sang mostly his original songs. He also sang two new ones and they loved them. We all had a great time.

I had never heard of the 2 performers that opened for Somo but they were awesome! The tour had such a positive vibe and positive music it was so much fun! I was on the side of the stage and he kept coming over and singing to us too not just focusing on the front audience which was great.

Good: SoMo was a good performer, venue easy to find, parking was easy Bad: Seats were uncomfortable (I'm too short to stand in the crowd), the bass was too strong and overpowers the singer's voice, lights were a bit too bright

If y'all get a chance to see this man live. It is worth every penny and time. His voice live is even better than in his videos and you can tell he doesn't use any auto tune. He's a very down to Earth guy during meet and greets and also his crew is awesome!!

Somo put on a great show! He always sounds perfect, and I like how he interacts with the crowd on all sides of the venue. I feel like his set was a little short, but maybe it's because his opening acts went on FOREVER. Jordan Bratton was too young to be singing about some of the things he was, and I felt like I was watching American Idol. Kirko Bangz was a complete douche-bag; I was actually excited to see him because I do enjoy some of his music, but he acted like a complete tool. ALSO, general admission usually doesn't bother me, but this time I was WAY too old to be dealing with all the 18+ people who tried to bum-rush the stage to see Somo. It's okay ladies, he is not going to go home with you. I'm 30, and these girls acted like they actually had a chance with him. Get it together!! Thank God Somo took over and hyped us all up and performed wonderfully. Would definitely recommend!

The show was unforgettable. I got into the meet and greet on time and the wait wasn't long either. The crew and the artists were so nice and got through the line as quickly and orderly as possible! The only thing I didn't like was standing around waiting for 8pm to come along bc I was standing the whole time. Kirko Bangz killed as the opening act and made it easy to turn up the atmosphere in the venue <3! The sounds was amazing for the whole show in general and I had a wonderful time! Leg you haven't been to a SoMo concert, then I would highly recommend it!

The first opener he had was not very interesting, the second opener was really good, but once SoMo hit the floor he took over the show and killed it. He is great live, good stage presence and very interactive with the crowd. Loved the lights and effects from the show. Overall I recommend it to anyone who is a fan.

This is the second time I have seen SoMo and I am even more impressed than the last time! He has produced more music since the last time, so he performed for a longer amount of time. SoMo somehow has managed to become even more entertaining. I was very impressed with him and the covers of songs he incorporated into the concert. The lighting was on point too.

Although the bus broke down and he was an hour late, standing in the cold made it all worthwhile when I heard his singing. I was warmed up by the end of the night by how hot and shirtless he was. I would definitely go to his concerts again.
