This show was an event of a lifetime for me. It is doubtful that Leonard will ever make another swing through Winnipeg. His energy level was amazing for a 78 yr. old. The quality of the 3.5 hr. concert was superb. A great mix of the old and the new.

Leonard Cohen is as passionate at age 75 as he was when he was a kid. He rocked the stage for almost three and a half hours. His band included a group of virtuoso musicians and the angelic back up women singers was spectacular. His writing collaborator Sharon Robinson sang a moving rendition of her song Alexander Leaving. Leonard Cohen sang most of his vast array of musical iconic songs. He was totally present, energetic and heartfelt, humbly acknowledging the audience and his entourage of skillfull musicians. I was swept away by the beauty and majesty of the performance.

I had never seen Leonard Cohen live before, even though I've been familiar with his music for probably 40 years. It was a great experience, and it was astounding that this esoteric Canadian singer was able to pack Radio City Music Hall.

Leonard Cohen's generosity of spirit shined in every song of this remarkable show. He was generous to his audience, playing for nearly three hours. He was generous to his band, allowing many of them a solo spot. And he was generous to the other singers on stage with him, giving them a chance to shine. The song selection was impeccable, covering the breadth of his remarkable career, and he worked with the limitations of his voice very well. Every member of the band was a virtuoso and found ways to add new twists and turns to many of the songs. It was a fantastic concert - all that I could have hoped for after waiting many years to see him live.

Six concerts, two continents, three countries, four cities and I am actually not a devoted and rabid Leonard Cohen fan. Having said that, this was fantastic as always, except a little better. Only overshadowed by pure brilliance of the first Toronto concert. It baffles me how come that there were still a few tickets left hours before the concert. Leonard Cohen concert will leave you wondering why you have been missing it all for last 10-15-20 years, even if you are really never going to buy his album. I have not been to many concerts this year, but , as far as live performances go, if this is not the most perfect live show this, and last, season what is? I know, it may sound like blasphemy to some, but this show was as mind-blowing as Michael Jackson shows in 1990s, just not the same kind of music. And of course, please don't judge this comparision unless you have been to both. Instead, buy an airline ticket and go to see at least Leonard while he is still on tour. You will not be sorry, you will not. I promise you.

This show was fantastic. I was afraid he would be too old to put on a great show but his energy level and performance were tremendous. The musicians and backup singers were very talented, the sets were long and tight and he played a lot of his classics as well as a good selection of his more recent work. 3 hours plus and my daughter and I would gladly have listened for another 3. He was excellent and had a great rapport with the audience. I had waited 30 years to see him and was absolutely amazed and pleased with the show. don't let the ticket prices scare you off. It was worth every penny!

This was truly a remarkable show, from the very beginning Leonard projected wit, wisdom and wonder. Every song was an amazing soulful, spiritual experience. I would recommend anyone who is even remotely a Leonard Cohen fan or simply a fan of good music to invest the time to see him live. The band that accompanied him along with his beautiful back up singers were also astoundingly good.

THe show was possibly one of the best concerts I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few. His energy and humility and sense of awe at the crowd reaction to him was indescribable. His band and back up singers were terrific. His song selection was glorious, I heard everything I wanted to hear. He is a true poet and his voice is dark and strong and sexy as ever!! I loved it and would see him again in a minute.

I was a regular (twice a week) at the Filmore east back when...I was famailiar w/ Leonard Cohen...but was still amazed at how many songs I knew but didn't know he had penned. The music was amazing and fresh...his performance was totally breathtaking. The theatrics within his music and the quality of the musicians he plauyed with was top notch. I guess you could say I liked it...I will buy the video of this concert, available as Live from London.

Having listened to and loved Leonard Cohen since the 1960's, I thought the concert would be great. This was an understatement - the concert was riveting, from start to finish. In comparison to the many performers I have seen over the years, Cohen and his extremely talented backup musicians and singers clearly don't rest on their past successes; they give their all. They returned again and again for encore after encore until, after over THREE hours, they had sung probably every song ever written and performed by Cohen. I am hoping to be lucky enough to see him live, again.

Non stop entertainment. Sang all his popular, and historic tunes, and added his newest works. Leonard Cohen was obviously enjoying his presentation and gave entra value by returning for more encores than I have ever witnessed. He is the consumate performer. We have never received more value for an admission ticket.

Mr. Cohen and his band put on a highly polished performance that went on near to 3 hours and included so many of his great songs. He was generous with his time and his energy and really gave his all in these songs. His voice sounded great, as did the band. He was very well-received by an enthusiastic audience. Each choice in the setlist was exciting to hear and not a single song fell flat. It was such a great experience to see Leonard after all of these years. This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to and I highly reccomend it.

This live performance was pure artistry and poetry. Leonard Cohen has never sounded better. His voice was never so clear. The musician from Barcelona was unbelievable. One of my favorite songs: If It Be Your Will, sung by the Webb sisters was unforgettable while L. Cohen stood intently fixed on their performance. He is a humble man and seemed truly grateful to the audience for coming out to see him. This was more than a concert...this was a journey into another level of being.

I went to two performances. Beacon Theatre was more intimate than the Radio City one (size of the theatre) and I was able to sit close enough to experience Him without any need for binoculars or big screens. In both performances he and his band were impeccable, his artistry at its best, his magic palpable. It was clear to me that the audience came prepared with their adoring hearts and minds full of memorized lyrics. (Cohen's music and his poetry have been the sound track to my life for 28 years. ) In RCMH his image on the big screen compounded his "bigger than life" quality and it was gratifying to "examine every little inch" of his dear old face in detail. His interaction with the musicians in the band and with his beautiful singers was, as usual, gracious and unassuming. He showered them with respectful acknowledgments whether it was verbally or through body language. He would offer each one of them generous praise, remain folded in his long buddhist bow on several occasions, or he would drop to his knees and sidle up in supplication to his guitar player. He sang on his knees honoring the audience and he took off his hat many times in humble, deferential fashion. In a word, what a Mensch (Yiddish for "true man)"! What an inspiring, beautiful and unforgettable Being. I feel privileged and grateful to have experienced him live again. My heart is singing Halleluia!

Seeing Leonard Cohen live was amazing. Though I had high expectations, they were more than surpassed. His stage presence was fantastic and seeing him actually sing and speak his lyrics really highlighted the beauty of his poetry. The musicians of his band and the accompanying vocals were great as well. In addition, the length of the concert was perfect, there were several encores, he didn't seem in any rush to end it. Overall a highly recommended experience.

I just discovered Leonard Cohen last year (where has he been all my life?) and just had to see him in concert. It was indescribably amazing. He has to be the coolest guy in the world. Mr Cohen was perfect. He sang his bigger hits, many of my favorites and a few that were new. His voice was deeper and better than ever. Some songs had new words and different arrangements. The acoustics were perfect, not too loud and you could hear every word and each singer and instrument. His back up singers were sensational, the musicians were really proficient. The lighting was dramatic and tasteful.

I felt like I had achieved one of my life-long goals in finally seeing Leonard Cohen live. I have been listening to his music and poetry for 44 years and had been unable to see him in concert all those years. I am still experiencing new ideas and emotions each time I hear a song. I was so glad he sang a blend of the new and old songs. The more I hear "Old Songs" the more I think this is his best work yet. He is indeed my shepherd! And his ensemble of back-up singers and band is amazing!

Leonard Cohen is brilliant and masterful. Every moment on stage was something to behold. His noble nod to his remarkable musicians, the "sublime" Webb Sisters and Sharon Robinson stirred my emotions and can bring one to tears for all its beauty. Leonard Cohen, the deep thinker, the gentle spirit, poet , composer is one of a kind. He, when he was 28 years old as still today at 78 defines 'cool'. His performance is un-comparable. I loved every remarkable moment!

Leonard began his 1st (Sat) evening at the Paramount with his traditional skipping across the stage. It was all uphill from there. He has abilities of: poet, singer, musician, speaker, humorist, class, caring, sharing, agility and endurance like no other human. There is only 1 Leonard Cohen. I've now been blessed to attend 2 of his concerts at the Paramount. The venue itself being incredible, compliments Leonard's incredible talents. At the end of the concert, my cheeks hurt from smiling and I did not sit still the entire show. Can you tell I'm a fan?

This is one of those shows that, if you can afford it, get better seats as close as you can to the stage. We don't usually do that because of our budget but we did this time & it was worth every cent. This was a magical show. Everyone who attended, it seemed was mesmerized by the talent of this man & his very accomplished musicians. Everything from the sound to the lighting was spot on. As famous as he is, he humbly acknowledged his band members & back up singers more than once, removing his hat to do so. What a class act! It' s really hard to imagine that this man is 78 years old. You can tell he loves what he does & that, as long as he can sing & give it away to all of us, he will. By the way, if you read this, consider this your official memo that pork pie & fedora hats are welcome!!! I wore mine! One of the best shows I've ever seen, without a doubt.

The Akoo was an ideal setting for this superb performance. Leonard Cohen, Sharon Robinson, the Webb Sisters and each musician gave us over 3 hours of memories and perfection, as usual. Cohen has gotten even better with age and is a superb statesman of music. The song deliveries were all we knew and loved and expected to hear. The audience often sang to him and stood to acknowledge his graciousness and talent. An icon. As usual, he was his humble, polite self and this just endears him more to his fans. Songs were soft, songs rocked, songs brought memories .... all with the greatest of reverence from he and his group towards the audience. Yes, I'd recommend his shows to anyone who appreciates genius. His poetry/song lyrics say it all. A memory I will never forget.

I just came to USA about 2 years ago and it was my first chance to attending to my Number 1 favorite Singer. I really love Cohen and during his performed I just thinking about my friends in Iran which Love to been there but they don't have this chance and my eyes were full of tear. from my facebook entrance: Yesterday we went to the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and were so lucky to see and hear the the enigmatic Canadian poet and songwriter Leonard Cohen. Someone I was dreaming of seeing in person for a long time. How lucky I was! The songs are about love, sex and religion which he has sang throughout his life. Songs so familiar like "Everybody Knows", " I am your man", Dance me to the End of Love", "Hallelujah" and "Closing Time"- An elegant night!! He and his band were dressed in suits, dresses and so many fedoras. Of course Cohen s band was also playing solos throughout the show. Leonard gave the LA audience an marathon oerformance: - 3 1/2 hours - at least 1/2 an hour overtime!!!

My introduction to Leonard Cohen was in the spring of 1968 when my freshman english teacher brought a copy of Cohen's first album into class. We played the entire album and for the rest of the week discussed the lyrics from all angles ... writing technique, meaning of lyrics (as best we could figure out), imagery, rhythm both of spoken lyric and as used in melody, how melody brought emphasis to lyrics (or vice versa). Of course fro then on I have been a staunch Leonard Cohen fan - he is one of many who have been of deep influence in my own songwriting, poetry, philosophy of life. I got to see Cohen live in 1975 (?) at The Great Southeast Music Hall in Atlanta Georgia ... a small, intimate, LISTENING hall that hosted an a-m-a-z-i-n-g array of artists. I got off of work in Charlotte, NC at 3 pm, drove to Atlanta (4 hours), made rendezvous with a fellow Cohen fan (one of my other Mentors), picked up a magnum bottle of Blue Nun, and headed for the show. We got to sit through two performances - Cohen was in an all white suit, sang and played guitar. There were two female vocalists, a man playing some Mediterranean style stringed instrument, and I think a Cellist. It was what you might call an immaculate show ... it was like listening to a finished studio album in person ... all the musicians were "beyond", and all the musicians seemed to "communicate" with Cohen and the other musicians in some unspoken, ethereal way. The next 33 years were spent buying and absorbing by osmosis any and everything Cohen I could put my hands, ears, eyes, and mind too. I learned several of his songs - learned the chords to Suzanne from Josh White, Jr. Sunday night at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium was, to be succinct, simply amazing. On every level. Cohen's voice having dropped beneath the basement has added new dimension to presentation of and meaning of his always haunting lyrics. Once again, it was like hearing a studio presentation but being there. The music was way better than perfection ... inspired, brilliant, sensitive, challenging, angelic, satanic, uplifting, and, again "beyond". In see Cohen preform, the emphasis, the meaning, the treatment, the facial expressions and body movements became accompaniment - and translator - and clarifier of many lines I simply had never "caught" in certain ways before. There were lines that I had always heard and interpreted as completely serious and prophetic, but he presented them as humble and humorous self-effacement of things like looks, voice, action, his own 'placement' of the level of value, quality, or importance of his work within the category of "poet-songwriter-singer-prophet-philosopher" as compared to others. He presented himself as I believe he truly is ... humble, shy, self-aware, self-effacing, surprised that so many idolize his work, amazed that so many gathered in one place were there to hear him, to see him, to listen to him, to pay homage to him, to learn from him, to wonder with him, to wander with him, to laugh with him, to be angry with him, to be afraid with him, and simply to "be there with him". He truly idolized, credited, honored, appreciated, was amazed by, was humbled by, and listened to the musicians gathered around him. They in turn showed the same for him and for all the other musicians. There was no competition for leads, no on "showing off" (even though there were times you wondered "what planet are they from?". They - Cohen and each musician - were there as ONE UNIT, each a part of the other. They played for a total of just about THREE HOURS. They worked hard but obviously had fun. At one point Cohen said something to the effect that "we are her together for this short instant in the universe, but while I am here I will give you everything I have" ... I hope I paraphrased accurately enough ... whether those were the exact words he spoke, it was what we got ... everything he had. Everything they (the Unit) had. And every part of me listened. Every part of me heard. Every part of me felt blessed. Every part of me knew the presence of Greatness. Every part of me was grateful. Every part of me was alive.

The Poet, Leonard Cohen - - - the High Priest of Observations on Life and Love is a brilliant performer. His thoughtful lyrics and his deep deep beautiful voice juxtaposed to the female voices and superb band --- string, wind, percussion, keys --- leave one spellbound. The gentleman from Barcelona plucked my heart-cords all evening. The sisters Charley & Hattie Webb caused rapture, singing "If It Be Your Will" . Sharon Robinson leading "Back on Boogie Street" brought it up another notch. What a lovely concert !

Mr. Cohen was outstanding. He played for 3 hours, it was truly a magical evening and worth every penny I paid to see him. He put his heart and soul into the performance and made my night one of the most unforgettable times of my life.

This was my first experience with Leonard Cohen and he and his troop did not disappoint. I loved the way his fans/audience responded to this lovely man. He is more than generous with his time and gift. I think I adore him.

I bought my husband tix for this concert at Madison Square Garden as a birthday present. I was not a huge fan prior....but I am now. His music and poetry are amazing and seeing him in person really made me appreciate him. The venue was nice, very organized, and we had great seats.

In a word, I'd call the evening sublime. I hadn't seen Leonard in concert since 1993, but I was not disappointed. His voice is still like warm butter, oozing his poetic lyrics over one's soul to soothe the pains of human existence. His songs are executed perfectly by the uber-gifted musicians who accompany him. Seeing him skipping on and off stage warms one heart to the inevitability of aging and speaks of the power of yoga and clean Buddhist living...

Leonard Cohen proved that he still has what it takes and that some of the acts of today could take a lesson from him on what makes a great concert. There was no flash, just a man, his band and the music! From beginning to end, Leonard Cohen sang his hits and the crowd was enthralled. Every member of the band contributed in their own wonderful way to the evening and provided for some memorable moments as well. Sharon Robinson, Hattie and Charley Webb, Roscoe Beck, Neil Larsen, Bob Metzger, Javier Mas, Rafael Gayol amd Dino Soldo were each able to showcase just what they bring to the band and it was magical.

And I don't say that lightly. WIth the possible exception of my first Grateful Dead show at Merriweather Post Pavilion in '85, the Leonard Cohen show in Sunrise on 10/17/2009 was the best show I've ever seen. The band was tight, the rhythms complex, yet not a single note was out of place, and every note served a purpose. Leonard, of course, brought his mystical magic to bear on all of us. It was a transformative experience. And it didn't hurt that it was my birthday!

For those of us who were able to stay in the area when the storm threats postponed the Tuesday performance to Thursday were rewarded beyond our wildest hopes. Cohen was at his finest and the supporting musicians played with the joy that indicates this combination of instruments and vocal performers were thoroughly enjoying the event as much as the audiance. Redrocks is an incredible venue for an acoutistic performance. The mandolin was as clear as the bass. Cohen showed that he is a top-notch performer, delivering each song as if he were sharing a gift that he loved and natured and had selected just for us.

hallelujah! in conclusion, the LC concert, and the subsequent southern comfort + learning, once again, that the revolution you say you want is yet another self-perpetrated "hoax", as awe-inspiring as it was initially, what with the wind melding with the rocky red acoustics against my cheek and eardrums, as moving as the bic-lit Hallelujah's were, the conclusion is disappointment; ay, dismay; 75 years of yet another legend repeating, reiterating facts such as true love reveals itself religiously near death, not to sound so pessimistic; but "waiting for the miracle" i waited for my brother, and felt a twinge when LC sang about how he hates what happened to his sister; and all the women men humanities; what did they mean when said "repent, repent, repent"?? i insist- i'm innocent. i am pure, innocent; yet my guilt eternally devours me. hallelujah ;)

I gave this trip to my husband for a special birthday gift. The scheduled date in Colorado was 46%, windy and rain. The event was put off for two days. We were able to make arrangements to stay the extra two days, and were awarded with an absolutely perfect evening at Red Rocks - full moon - - absolutely outstanding concert. It was truly a high point in our concert lives, as as my husband said, " a magical evening."

At 75, who would have thought that we'd get to see Leonard Cohen again. He put on a spectacular show. He said at the end that this was most likely the last time he'll be travelling through these parts. He is a beautiful poet and it was very sad to think that this will most likely be his last tour.

Cohen did not fail to disappoint. Great show, Numerous encoreseft little to be desired ( except maybe not singing The Sisters of Mercy, a personal Favourite. I only wished I has coughed the extra $200 for level 100 seats. My seats, in 205 although not terrible, were sub optimal. Unfortunately $85 a seat is what I could afford. Nonetheless. Although the tickets were overpriced specially compared to his last visit, the show was great, and one of his best ever.

The show was everything I could have expected. The humility of Cohen and how he holds space for his fellow performers to do solo acts within the main venue is a real testament to Cohen as a person and a performer.

Incredible show by a Canadian icon. At age 78 his performance was more like that of a man 50 years younger in terms of his stage presence and performance. Song after song he wowed the audience and made it seem like he was performing at a house party before a few close friends. His musicians and backup vocalists were incredible in their own right and he featured each of them several times throughout the show. The sound was excellent. Despite the huge space with every available seat packed it was a very intimate show. There are not enough superlatives to describe this show. When will he be back again?

This was one of the best events I've ever attended. When LC came out he said they would give us everything they had- well they did and MORE. The singers, band, sound, lighting, and of course LC were just amazing. This was a serious, Jewish, 'come to Jesus moment!' The audience was so fired up, LC and the group gave us 3 encores, it was just fantastic.

I sat in the Orchestra section, and am so glad I did. Leonard Cohen's performance is very up close and personal. To see the interaction between the band members makes the extra cost of the ticket completely worth it! It's kind of like when you want to see a movie on the "big screen," because you know the experience will be phenomenal.

Outstanding show. Cohen hasn't lost a step and I can't say enough about his choice of musicians - top notch professionals all. I'd also like to give the Sound Engineers a plug. Everywhere I went in the theater, the sound was great, even up in the balcony. The only negative I have is about the fools who thought themselves more important than everyone else by arriving late, returning late from intermission and thinking that being half in the bag gave them license to compete with Cohen on vocals; but regrettably, I guess that's just part of the current concert scene. Can't teach people manners during a live concert.

From 8:10 PM until just before midnight, 78-year-old Leonard Cohen performed for 3 1/2 hours, including seven encores, delivering one of the most memorable and delightful evenings of music I've ever had the privilege of attending. We had amazing seats, 6th row center, and Leonard was in fine form--funny and filled with an very Zen balance of humility and gratitude. He is touring with a remarkable group of musicians, and his voice, while always at a low gravelly growl, is still the finest instrument ever to interpret his haunting lyrics.

Leonard Cohen played for over 3 hours and every minute was wonderful. He was wry, humble and funny. He surrounded himself with wonderfully gifted musicians and allowed each of them to shine. He recited some poetry that was poignant and lent itself to the feeling that we were not in Radio City Music Hall but in an intimate club. By the end of the gig he made us all feel we were his friends.

I saw the same show in Dec. at MSG, and it was magical. For some reason, I did not get the same vibe at Radio City Musical Hall. LC, his band, and his singers, are all excellent, and the repertoire includes everything you want from Leonard Cohen. Maybe they were just a little tired from being on the road so long, or maybe it was because the MSG show was my first experience of LC in concert. Or maybe it was just a case of first love not being as good as you remembered it.

Leonard Cohen delivered a perfect 3 hours of his best music. His performance was flawless, and he lived up to his promise of giving us his best.
