The Buzzcocks were awesome. Could have done without the 2 opening bands and the over priced drinks.

I first saw the Buzzcocks in 1979, in England.Their performance last night, at the Nokia club in Los Angeles was awesome. They played the 1st 2 Album's, track by track, which worked well and with high energy and enthusiasm. Their new ( not sure how new)Drummer was amazing and stole the show!BUT Diggle and Shelley still showed their true brilliance!!!

Teenage dreams came true last night. I got there early, so I hung around the front the whole time. I was in the front row center the whole show. I wish the first band didnt hang around so long, buuuut, I guess it was just more anticipation. When the Buzzcocks came on stage, I was ecstatic! They tore right into their instruments and gave an amazing, energy filled show. I stood right in front of Pete, staring up at him, literally two feet away. Steve rocked so hard on his guitar, I could not keep my eyes off him. I got sprayed with sweat, I made eye contact with every member, got smiled at. . .During ESP, I started crying a bit. It reminded me so much of my teenage years that are no longer.

I had an awesome time seeing the Buzzcocks play live! They were amazing! It was a lot of fun and they played a lot of the songs I really like. The opening act wasn't that great, but the Buzzcocks really rocked. I love the place too, it was really cool and fun. Overall, it was an amazing concert, and it made their songs keep playing in my head.

For lack of ever having a hit, this band somehow flew under my radar during the first punk rock era of the late 70's. My loss! They write wonderful little pop songs. The show rocked. I recognized as little as a dozen songs during the hour and one half set, but I enjoyed the songs I had never heard as much as the ones I was looking forward to. This was a great show! I consider this a must-see event.

The show last night was one of the very best shows I've ever attended. Punks came out of the woodwork and I danced on the second level and the guitarists and drummer were looking at us often and seemed more enthusiastic in that we were really enjoying it, like an energy feed. One of the guitarists has tremendous stage presence with jumping, moving around the neck of the guitar, and pointing up at us now and again. It was hot and some people were sweating. There were brief spurts of moshing on the floor level. It was a high energy feel and after seeing Johnny Rotten, this was a real British TREAT. The show was flippin' AWESOME; rad. I love you Bloats; truly.

For the classic punk fanatics in the audience, the Buzzcocks brought us right back to 1978. The band thrashed through their first two albums with amazing energy. Guitarist Steve Diggle, especially, seemed totally amused and keyed up throughout the show. The band's very sweaty encore was the highlight of the night, culminating with "Orgasm Addict". Awesome!

Yes, they're in their mid-50s, but who cares? The show was electric. They sound amazing and powered through their classics. Also, the drummer (who is not an original member) is phenomenal.

They performed energetically and tirelessly two complete albums and then sum. The original bass player came on stage for one song. They were great, and so was the venue..

Buzzcocks totally on top of their game 30 plus years after they originally introduced the branch of punk that spawned Green Day and countless others who owe them everything. The only reason it's not 5 stars was the insufferable heat of the venue. Where were the air conditioners?

Saw the Buzzcocks at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston and they definitely still know how to kick out the jams. Very intense set with almost ALL older tunes and very short breaks between songs. Overall, I'd say make sure to see them if they come anywhere near your 'burg!

The songs have lost none of their power, and they still play with energy and love. It's a little odd to see punk classics performed by guys who now look like your old uncle, but in a way it's also touching. Still here and still rocking. The Dollyrots played a great opening set, too. Girl-fronted guitar punk with a roller derby attitude -- what more could you want?

the show was a truly great opportunity to see The Buzzcocks perform and what a bash it was with mic stands being smashed on the stage just like the days of The Sex Pistols. The show had all the rock nostalgia of years gone bye dramically brought back to life in an energetic concert.

AMAZING!!!! They played Both "Another Music In A Different Kitchen" and "Love Bites" in their entirety plus a few other classics at the end. It was like hearing "Rubber Soul" and "Revlover" back to back for a Beatles fan!!! I've seen them several times since they reformed in 1989, and this was perhaps the best show. See them!!!!!!

The Buzzcocks totally rocked the Paradise last night! Non-stop, pounding, pure punk. Steve Diggle was having a blast! It was great seeing all the old punks (including my husband and me!) at the Paradise. I recognized a lot of faces from the old days of Spit and the Underground. If you have a chance to see the Buzzcocks you HAVE to go! Excellent show!

Putting on a high energy 2-hour-plus show revisiting their first indelible albums, the Buzzcocks ripped apart the Troc in Philly and made us remember why they (and we) were punks in the first place. Pounding, fast-pulsed rhythms fueled the alternatingly melodic and arch dual guitar work of Steve Diggle (love the Rickenbacker!) and Pete Shelley who looks like he should be the pub-loving uncle in a Hugh Grant movie somewhere, but still sounds the singularly distinctive voice that instantly earmarks the Buzzcock sound. After an hour, they were stronger if anything and by the end of the encore (Orgasm Addict, of course), Steve Diggle's act of throwing his Telecaster off-stage and bashing one mic stand with another were more exhaultative exhaustion than punkish posturing. So many highlights and too little space. The albums are desert island classics, and this performance was a memorable reminder of why, next to the Pistols, they architected the British punk scene to its heights.

Nice long set of classics and a few new gems from Pete and the guys. The opening band left a lot to be desired and over stayed their welcome on stage, but all was forgiven once the Buzzcocks came on. The drummer was amazing and so was the bassist. Both much younger than original band members. Overall, I enjoyed myself.

This was the 4th time I've seen the Buzzcocks and I wasn't sure how I felt about the fact that they were going to play their first two albums in their entirety, but it turned out to be a non-issue. The band was in perfect form from start to finish and they really seemed to be enjoying themselves as was the crowd. The musicianship was excellent from searing lead guitar to crushing drum solos. Diggle was bouncing around like usual, but became more and more energetic as the set wore on. The drummer (not sure of his name) was outstanding and the bass player did a fine job as well. We were just sad that they didn't play longer. Encores included Harmony in My Head, Promises, and Orgasm Addict.

They opened with "Boredom" which everyone loved, then went on to play a a slew of songs that no one seemed to be familiar with and weren't good at all. After the 3rd or 4th song, it became a talk-amongst-yourselves show. They lost the crowd almost immediately and never got us back. I've been listening to Singles Going Steady and A Different Kind of Tension forever and I can tell you I recognized 3 songs in the set. You don't go to see a band like Buzzcocks to hear new or obscure material. They're old. You're their partly for nostalgic purposes. Pete, play the hits and make the crowd happy. That's all you needed to do.

I have been waiting 35 years to see this band. The Buzzcocks were worth the wait. I loved their energy and mixed crowd, parents bringing their children who are now their biggest fans. Young folks recognize the brilliance of this original punk band. The music was still edgy with an angry bite to it, but the performance was exuding sheer joy. They were having so much fun and it was totally infectious. Musically they were brilliant, tight, punchy, great sound. It like being back in 80s but with a better sound system. I was bouncing with the songs for the next two days - a harmony in my head :>) I so hope to catch them again sometime. One of the very best live performances I've ever seen.

If you Closed your eyes you would think you went back in time to 1978 and you were at some small club listening to this fresh band called Buzzcocks. They were just as good on Friday June 19,2015 as they were over 30 years ago. Albeit, Pete Shelly not looking like the pale punk of the 70's, still attacked the guitar and mic with a ferver. They played everything I wanted to hear and some songs I've never heard , but all in all, no surprises and just what I expected from one of the great Punk/Post punk bands.

If you're a big fan of seminal Punk bands from the 70's, Buzzcocks stand head and shoulders above those bands still making the rounds. In addition to there cannon of songs that made them famous, Buzzcocks' new material is very entertaining and loaded with great hooks, harmonys and sharp lyrics. Factor in that these guys exhibit the same energy and power that they did in their infancy, and you're rewarded with a fantastic experience by a legendary band. A must for any fan of great, original music!

The Buzzcocks have to be one of the best live bands still after all these years. They play fast, loud and album perfect. What's great about seeing them live is the audience knows all the songs and sings the harmonies along with the band. They don't play very often here in the US so if you see them coming to your town buy tickets ASAP! It will be the most fun you had at a concert in a long time.

. Thje Buzzcocks ditched their newer releases to play only their songs from the late 70's. Having been to 7 of their shows & knowing all of their early songs, this was the first time that I heard many of my favorites live - no reply, you tear me up, love battery, nostalgia, just lust and an incredible version of moving to the pulsebeat. They possibly sounded better than ever to me and seemed excited to be performing - what a thrill to see Pete Shelley take over on 90% of the lead vocals just like the old days! I came all the way from Phoenix to see this show and surpassed my highest expectations as I was drawn to singing at the top of my lungs, dancing, slamming, pogo-ing & even found time to do some moshing - incredible show!

Buzzcocks have always been in my top 5 punk bands of all time. I learned how to play guitar listening to them and Ramones back in 1979. Never got the opportunity to see them until now and I was completely blown away. Vocals and music in perfect harmony and the instruments must have been the same ones they used in the 70's as the sound was identical to the vinyl. Great stage presence, incredible precision on the instumentals and well timed breaks in their 90 minute set that rolled over you like a Ramones Steamroller. Biggest mosh pit I have seen since Pistols in 1998. Excellent show. The only bummer of the night was Dollyrot who played waaaaaay too long, drunk guitarist that had as much stage presence as a stoned turtle, and the squeeky vocals we were over a long time ago with Josie Cotten and Cyndi Lauper

2 warm up bands. I really didn't need 2 warm up bands. One would have been enough. Anyway the first band Images were pretty good. They were so young since i'm a Buzzcocks age. The drummer was awsome. The second band the Dollyrots were lame. I love chick singers but the songs dragged and they were on stage way too long for a warm up band. Then the Buzzcocks came on and blew away both warm up bands. They played all the songs from the first 2 albums and i knew every one of them. I just wish Pete Shelly's voice was miked a little louder. Non stop 3 minute songes one right after another with no breaks. That's the way is should be wit no talking in between songs. Steve Diggles was funny as he has always been and looked in great shape and looked like he was having a great time playing. The 2 other members couldn"t have been older than their early 20s. Drummer did a short drum solo, which was a lot of fun and got the crowd going. Overall a great show by one of my favoirte bands.

The show was solid, playful, fun, energetic, and amazing! opening bands, images and the dollyrots are great and lots of potential to be awesome. venue clue nokia is pretty cool, very clean and nice. it could use more sound volume and heavier base sound. after mosh pit started, there were couple of kids going out of control and there should be a bouncer keep them in order. overall it was fantastic show.

Very cool renditions of first two albums in order. Not so tedious because the songs are short, but unrelenting. Vocals mixed a little bit down, but all in all superb. Not quite as enthralling as other times I have seen them, but the formula played out to good effect as both albums are classic...A short snippet of "Boredom" separated the 2 albums, and it would have been awesome had they carried through with it or the other songs from "Spiral Scratch". Encore was about 5 songs from "Singles Going Steady" that weren't on the 2 original albums. Missed hearing from "Tension" and "Parts" but since I knew the format going in, that's quite alright.

Love them, and have since I had the good fortune of being given a Buzzcocks album in 1980. Wonderfully loud, bouncy, whiny, angst-ridden punk/pop, and as tight and fast as ever. These guys clearly love every moment of their performance, and pull us alongon their noisy, joyous ride. I took my wife along with me, who's never seen the Cocks before, and she loved them too! And that really says a lot. And without the Buzzcocks, Greenday would never exist, so we owe them that too. See them, love them, tell a friend!
