The time allotted for each team's selection was tiresome and created a loss of interest after the 8th selection. 5 minute selection time for teams (wait time for audience) should be brought down to 1 minute. Also, there were no physical activities, therefore the ticket price didn't match the event. With this being the NBA draft, there could have been 3 point contests, free throw contests, dunk contests, half-court shot contests, dance contests, basketball trivia contests, photo opportunities with players and media personalities, meet and greets with draftees, and raffles for prizes and merchandise. Also, since it was held at the Barclays Center, the entire Brooklyn Nets could have been there for the fans. All of this feedback from the 15 year old student I took for a mentoring program.

Pros: Great view from value seats, engaging event staff Cons: Not able to hear speakers for large portions of night (sound/mics too quiet), no updated transaction information (trades, etc.)

My son and I attended the 2017 NBA Draft at the Barclays. It was a great experience for both of us. The interaction with other fans present and our discussions about our teams was a great bonus to the experience. At the end of the first round we were asked to move because a lot of fans left after their team drafted in the first round. So when we moved we were near the Barclay production for the draft and beside NBA TV. We enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year.

The seats were horrible! What a waste of money. All we could see was the podium. The whole side of the stage was blocked out and you couldn't see anything. Even the seats below us were not available so I don't know how the seats I was in were allowed to be sold. We tried moving to another section aand were kicked out by the usher. We tried complaining to customer service as the usher told us to do and that was also a waste of time. I was very upset that tickets were sold to me that were so bad. I was extremely disappointed and I do not like getting ripped off which is exactly what happened. The NBA and the Prudential Center should be ashamed for selling such a bad seat. $50 down the drain. Next time I will watch it on TV. I really wanted a refund but they couldn't do it.

The event is slow and the commentary and entertainment between picks at the Barclays Center is beyond atrocious. I ignored other users' reviews that mentioned how bad the commentary and entertainment was but I completely understand now. We were Sec 209. Our seats were listed as "side view", they should have been "obstructed view" because you could barely see the front of the podium and the commissioner's bald head. 98% of the stage was blocked. It also felt like a morgue in there it was so damn cold. In the future I will it on tv and enjoy decent commentary. I'll give this another try if it's at MSG and the Knicks have first round picks.

Don't bother going live. Too much time in between picks with nothing going on.

The NBA Draft is a great fan experience for anyone who is a big fan of the NBA. It's always nice to see NBA fans come together and cheer there team selection or boo there team selection (Knicks fans in general). My seat was ok but i got an upgrade to move to section 8.

The Barclay Center is beautiful and I saw fans of all 30 teams. Being a non-competitive event the feeling of joviality and excitement for the upcoming season was palpable. I met so many great and friendly fans from all over the country. However, The Barclay Center commentators (Malik Rose & whoever he was with) were HORRIBLE. They are as PC as it gets (Malik Rose literally said "I think he's gonna be great" about EVERY draftee) and have nothing interesting to say. They kill time (and there's a LOT of time to kill at the draft) by showing their cheerleaders dance... over... and over... and over... The panacea for these issues would be to simply broadcast the ESPN feed on the jumbotron. Not only are they entertaining as hell (Simmons, Jay, and Jalen are fantastic) but they are informative and do great live interviews. I watched the ESPN telecast when I got home and learned so much more about every draftee. Unfortunately, I probably won't go again until they dump their boring proprietary coverage for ESPN's.

One star simply because of the cheesy and useless entertainment Barclays Center throws at the crowd during the draft (NBA TV hosts, DJ, dancers, trivia). Please do it like the Prudential Center did and have the ESPN announce team over the loudspeakers. It's a no-brainer, but Barlcays Center has dropped the ball and disappointed the fans two years in a row now.

I had a complete blast at the NBA draft. I attended with my family. I enjoyed the outcome of the draft for my team, the Lakers. I enjoyed the basketball focused night in terms of it being a basketball junkies dream night. Great draft. The Philly fans were a little less than classy but other than that it was fine.

Enjoyed being at the event but the negatives are that you miss on the analysis of ESPN. The NBA opts for a softer coverage that did not meet my needs. Barclay Center has great acoustics

Last years NBA TV coverage in the arena was terrible. Please please please go back to ESPN team like it's always been. That's what the fans want.

I absolutely hated not hearing the national broadcast. I went there to hear Bilas and Simmons. Was furious about that.

Over 50% of the seating had obstructed view. Unless you were sitting directly in front of the stage, you could not see all that was going on as well as the draft board set up on stage. When I purchased my tickets, there was "ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION WHATSOEVER" that I was purchasing obstructed view seats. When I spoke to the manager on site, they said "oh well" we are sorry. I called the box office immediately upon arriving at my seat, but no response. Also, there was no need for a time delay from when the team's time ran out to make a selection, until David Stern decided to come out and make the announcement of teh selection. This delayed the event an average of 3-5 minutes per selection.

Unique experience, but the main problem is the draft is too long with 5 minutes between each pick, the NBA should speed up the process because by the 15th pick or so (or after your team selected), you already want to leave.

Ticketmaster & Barclays promoted there would be lower-level seats available; there were absolutely none available when tickets went on sale. If you're going to reserve the entire 100-level for corporate seating and friends/family of draftees, fine. But then don't promote it publicly for weeks that lower-level seating is available for $50ish. 2. The NBA should treat its biggest fans — those who made the effort to attend the draft in person & pay $$ — better than those sitting at home. If I m AT THE DRAFT, I should be getting faster, better information than I can get from the NBADraft.net Twitter feed. Announce trades as they happen — not 90 minutes later! David Stern deserved every boo he got. 3. Venue should play the ESPN broadcast with Bilas, Jalen, Bill Simmons, Katz, etc. in the stadium. NO ONE wants to hear the NBA TV drones. 4. Prices at Barclays = worse than Yankee Stadium. $25 for a beer & a sandwich. 5. Barclays Center: thank you so much for the blinding spotlight that was pointed at section 203 all night long. We couldn t even look at the stage.

I haven't missed an NBA draft since 1994. While the atmosphere at Barclays was nice, the draft coverage was very mediocre. I found about trades online instead of at the draft. This there was no advantage to being a member Of the audience versus watching on TV at home.

You could not hear the Broadcasters well , and you could not hear their interviews with the players. There was no posting anywhere of trades that were going on, I had to find out from my cell phone. Next time Ill have a much better experience if I just stay home.

First time to a pro draft and to the BARCLAY CENTER. The ticket had a 7:00 PM start time but it was actually after 8:00 before anything happened. The event moved pretty fast. The sound system could have been better and the BARCLAY CENTER should recognize their upper level patrons. There were a lot of big screen views of smiling kids in the good seats but never a shot of the other areas. Would have made some kids day if they only bothered to point higher.

I missed the most exciting pick - No #1 overall - but I still had a good time. I could do without Jay Bilas's inane comments, but I love Jeff van Gundy. And the fan atmosphere is always fun to be around.

Generslly, the draft was quite good in the venue. Jeering of the commish was juvenile prior to each selection and was a disservice to the selectee. I got the message the first time. The sound system for the commentators was ghastly, appearing not to be connected to the main system. I was nineteen rows from the floor.

Hated waiting until Pick 48 to be disappointed by my Knickerbockers. I can't say that I'm surprised though. If you're a true NBA fan, I recommend the draft. Great energy and awesomely nostalgic jerseys galore.

Attending the NBA draft was an awesome experience for my brother and I. It was a last minute decision to attend and we are so glad we went. The atmosphere at the arena was incredible and attending this type of event for the first time allowed us to experience first hand what goes on behind the scenes to make such an event possible. We now know that the last week of June we will be attending the NBA draft annually.

It was nice to see the invited players looking happy after getting selected. After the first few picks the novelty wears off. With 5 minutes between picks there was a ton of downtime with little to do aside from hitting the bar. After our favorite team made their pick we got out of there. The Prudential is a great venue, no complaints there. Overall, this was not an expensive ticket and it gave us something different to do.

Ok, here's the thing. I'm elated by the decision the charlotte bobcats made by picking Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. I mean, it's a horrible team and they need a leader. I was never a bobcats fan until now, because MKG was drafted by them. Smart move but they'll need to learn how to adjust him to their system. I was also extremely impressed by the Cavaliers. They did a great job adjusting their back court and now have an excuse to trade the ever so decrepit Verejao. I feel like the Cavs will definitely have a better season than this past season (hopefully) and compliment Kyrie Irving's and Thompson's game. The Celtics to me had one of the most prestige in the end. They drafted two very important roles. I mean Jared Sullinger knows how to play the game and Fab Melo was probably one of the best shot blocking presences in the draft. I am looking forward to see drummond adjusting to the Warriors too! This draft was overall incredible. I recommend going next year as well. Expecting for KU power draft 2.0. Enjoy!
