Monica gave a spectacular, down to earth, fun and interactive concert. I enjoyed the intimacy of the venue the Arena Theater provided.

Monica has yet to fail me with her performances. Monica always put on a great Show and always sounds good. I just love her and her voice. Thank You for putting on a great Mother's Day Show. The one thing I didn't like was that Monica only performed for 45mins as the headliner. The performances should have been longer for the fans but needless the say the show was still Amazing. Plus I got to meet Monica at the end of her show for my birthday.

I love Monica however I was very disappointed with the concert. The show was scheduled to start at 8pm however Monica didn't get on stage unil 11pm. All the foks that went on before her SUCKED and it was very hard to sit there and listen to them. Before Monica came on stage the DJ made an announcement saying that Monica was sick and that she probably wouldn't make it out. Then Monica comes out on stage. She informed everyone that she was sick and that her doctor told her no to perform but that she was going to perform anyway. She only song about 5 songs and it was the entire song. She song the 1st and last verse and the hook on the songs and that was it. I live in VA so I had to drive 1.5hrs to get to Lyric. I left my house at 4:30pm and by the time I got there it was 7:20 due to all the traffic. And for me to drive all that way and to wait 3hrs for Monica to come out...it jut wasn't worth it. I feel the right thing that should have been done would have been to give everyone a refund on their tickets. Once again I love Monica but the way that this was handled was HORRIBLE. She mentioned that she would be back to Lyric after her new album dropped but I will not be going back because this concert here has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have been to alot of concerts before and I have never experienced anything like this.

i did not like the concert! 1) the opening acts where unknown performers, not to say it was bad but they could at least sung a song that we would have known~ 2) it took monica about 3 hours to come out and even though she was sick and horcse she sounded good. 3) Monica only sung about 15 songs and they werent even the whole song it was the 1st verse and the course. 4) there was only 3 songs sung off of the new cd still standing! MONCIA IS A GREAT PREFORMER BUT BAD IN CONCERT.. WILL BY NEW CD.

i love monica, shes a very talented singer.show started @8:00, she came on about10:50to 11:30. The show should have been rescheduled or cancelled. Unforseen things happen, were all human we understand that, but i personally bought tickets to see monica, not the 4 opening acts. Hope she comes back so i can enjoy her show, because i didn't care for that one.I gues in that type of business the show must go on, or the other acts lose out.

1st I would like to say that I do understand that Monica was sick; however I paid $56.00 including fees to see her and drove 1 hour away from my home. The show was bad...I like Monica songs but her performance was trouble.

This was my first time at Lyric Opera House. I arrived early to find parking fortunate for me I found parking easily. The down side I arrived at 7p.m. for an 8p.m show and were not let in to be seated until 8:00 p.m. The sound was terrible and Monica didn't come on until 10pm due to the fact that she was sick and didn't want to cancel. She sang a couple songs and that was it. I don't feel like it was worth the money. On top of that the parking structure I parked in is still under construction so there was a long wait to pay so you could leave and it cost top much. Was not a good night. I love Monica she was good. It was just two long of a night and didn't get enough of her.

Monica was great. However, I can not say the same for the opening acts. The show was supposed to start at 8 and did not start until 830. Once the show started, it was hard to hear the performers. The 3 opening acts appeared to be very disengaged. At one point the audiece began chanting Monica's name, hoping she would appear on stage. She did not come on unitl 11:00 and only performed for 30 minutes. Her performace was GREAT!!! Monica is still the best! Her performace was worth the cost of the ticket!

The show was supposed to start at 8:00pm the opening act didn't take the stage until 9:30pm and they were garbage, so most of the night was listening to DJ's trying hyping the crowd. Monica actually took the stage at 10:53pm and the venue ended the show a 11:25pm so we didn't get to enjoy the show as much as we would have liked. We appreciate Monica for going against her doctor's orders and coming to perform anyway, but we would have preferred for her to reschedule and give us a full show.

Monica shows up at the venue at 10:48. This venue usually closes at 11:00pm. She says something about her doctors told her not to perform but she is going to perform anyway. There was no band, just a DJ playinmg her musica "with her vocals" on them I might add. When she first started out I beleive her intention was to lip synch but the crowd was yelling, we can't hear you !!! (Her mic was shut off). So she satrts singing a little, gets the crowd to help her out. I think she ran through 4 songs and the show was over. I would have like for her to cancel the show, have the audience hold on to the tickets and come back (on time!!!) when she was feeling better. That would have been the professional thing to do. I know there needs to be a lot of coordination with promoters, managers, venue whatever, but she owed that to the fans. Did no songs from her "new album release" that has not hit the streets yet.

ONE WORD: Disappointing! People are Ignorant!!!!!!

The hold event was poorly coordinated. It started with a few unknown artist that could not capture the audience and was given too much stage time. Monica did not take the stage for 2 1/2 hours. When she finally took the stage, it was just her and the DJ. You have a packed house, she's the Headliner and all she did was give you the performance that an artist gives when they are paid an appearance fee to show up at a local club. This was quite a disappoint to her fans.

The show was very long winded and unorganized. The sound was horrible n echoed throughout the gallery on numerous occasions. Also at other times there was no sound at all. The show started late and after sitting in the galleries very uncomfortable seats for about 2.5 hours Monica finally performed. Her performance was also hindered because the sound was not working when she first came out and lasted for about 5 minutes. Overall Monica made it worth the time but it was rediculous to hear other acts for that long of a time and then hear the headliner perform for only 30 minutes...

In Monica's defense, I will start with the fact that she had been advised by her doctor not to do the show and that she was obviously doing the best she could considering that at times she could barely talk. That has nothing to do with talent, Monica has that by the boatload. It's just that after many years of not being able to see her perform that we were looking forward to seeing the best of Monica, who is still in my opinion one of the best doing what she does. The show got stretched out as long as possible with all of the other acts with the purpose of limiting Monica's time on stage, I swear that there were at least 3 intermissions between all of the performers. B-more's own Paula Campbell came and did her thang, she did a great job and is very underrated. Another artist by the name of 'Algebra' (I think) also did well, and I enjoyed the creativity and talent that Eric Roberson displayed for a Baltimore crowd that at times showed less class than I would have preferred. At times during Eric Roberson's performance, the crowd blatantly started chanting 'Mo-ni-ca! Mo-ni-ca!' while he was clearly in the middle of singing one of his songs. The class that he displayed against that adversity showed that this man is able to ascend above such petty displays of ignorance. Much respect due to this man. Even though Monica wasn't 100%, she still displayed the talent and ability that propelled her to being considered one of the best pure talents in music since the age of 12. Few could have sang as beautifully and as soulfully as she did under the circumstances and when her 'Still Standing' tour starts we hope to be in the house to experience everything that she has. Love Monica, wish she were well. Hope she gets better soon and we look forward to when she comes back to B-more in full force!

I love Monica and I was very disappointed last night first the openning acts were terrible I just could not get with it you could tell they were stalling everyone was shouting for Monica to come out and people started leaving and asking for their money back. It was well after 10 and she had not hit the stage yet. They said she was sick and was on her way and when she finally got on stage she did like 5 or 6 songs she sounded great and you could tell she was really sick but it was not worth the money I spent not to mention I brought 3 tickets. I would say if Monica camed back to Baltimore I probably would not go see her this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I would get the CD less drama involved.

That show at the lyric was triff way 2 many opening acts monica yes she sounded great but she was on stage 4 less then 30 min. She should come back in do a free show 4 everybody who paid for those stinkey tickets.

Monica was sick, but she came any way to perform, did not perform long enough, but I could understand, you could her the sickness in her voice when she was talking, but "Oh My God", the girl has a beautiful and powerful singing voice.

Show did not start on time, DJ jammed which was great, Leela James did not stay on long enough and Monica was good.

I just knew Monica would have the whole spot rocking and that she did!!! She had us on our feet the entire evening singing along to her classics and a few others classics lol. If you have never seen her in concert, you need to get to one of her shows and fast! She puts on an outstanding show and her voice is simply incredible. I was so happy I got to see her live! She most certainly did not disappoint! I would go to another one of her concerts in a heart beat!!!! I am truly a fan!!!!!

Leela james did more DJing than singing. Very disappointed in her performance. Monica was awesome. It was hard to enjoy the concert because it was so HOT. The ARENA had so AC issues. So not worth the money we spent.

The show was good overall, aside from the fact that Monica had her fans waiting for over 3 hours. I've always loved her music, but her positive Instagram posts made me a fan. So, when it was time to meet her after the show, I was not feeling her energy at all, she did not exude that positive energy that she always post about. She acted as if she didn't want people to get too close to her as if she was too good or something. Maybe she was having a bad night, I don't know but I go off peoples energy and hers was definitely off.

Monica did absolutely great!!! The promoters, Experience Jackson needs to stop ripping people off. I paid $66 to hear Monica for 45 minutes. I was highly pissed. If Experience Jackson promotes anything else, I will not attend.

I want to start off by saying that I personally really like Monica. She did a wonderful job performing, that is when she finally came out. The show was advertised to start at 7:30 p.m. Now granted we're B/P (Black People) time here so I was expecting things to start rolling at least around 8, no later than 8:30 p.m. And by rolling, I mean for the main event to begin hince Monica's performance. She didn't even come out until after 9 p.m. and was off the stage before 10 p.m. That's more than an hour and a half past the advertisement of waiting and less than a 45 min show! Yes, we did have opening acts and a 20-25 min intersession, but it wasn't worth the wait nor the money. I knew she wasn't going to do an entire 2 hours per se, but I would've hoped for at least a full hour or more. Unless Monica can give us more of her time and/or not keep us waiting as long as we did; causing everyone to grow tiresome and lose a bit of interest might I add, I will NOT be attending anymore of her shows. Anything less than a decent hour or more of a performance that I spent my hard earned money on and invested insurance with is an insult to my pocket, honestly.

Love! Love! Love! The show was short but I still enjoyed it.

I enjoyed seeing Monica but I thought the show would have been longer. For 45 minutes she ran, yes ran, through her hits, talked with the audience, and let each of her background singers have a turn in the spotlight. Her interaction with the crowd and personable, funny, and entertaining. I was hoping she would have sung "The Boy is Mine." I'm glad I went to the show though.

She did an amazing job! She never disappoints, and this show was no different.

I had such an amazing time. This was my first time being this close to the stage. What a wonderful experience, I felt like she was looking right at me while performing and I got to meet her and take a picture afterwards. I m so thankful.

She was part of the the I love the 90's tour. Ginuwine, 112, jagged edge, Guy Teddy Riley. Everyone was up dancing Ginuwine just left the stage we were all up dancing and then Monica comes out darn near singing slow cuts. It was a buzz kill. I normally like Monica but it was just boring. I left to hang out in the lobby until she was done - I wasn't the only one that felt that way. She could have kept the party going... but not so much. Sing faster song - don't put me to sleep almost at the beginning. Even one FAST song would have kept me from giving one star.

I have been a fan of Monica since middle school when Miss Thang came out. This concert will be my third time seeing her but my first time being able to sit this close. I have autographed lyrics, cds, and have won contest for Monica merchandise. I love her so much. Her spirit is so awesome.

Musiq Soulchild was horrible. He seemed like he was doing a sound check the entire time and only sang every other bar. He should only get paid half of his check because he only sang half of his songs. Thank goodness for Monica. She was awesome and brought down the house.

Ok concert but felt a little disrespected that I brought Fantasia tickets as a surprise without any explanation show got switched to Monica. She did her they but drive from Philly to reading I wanted to get what I paid for.

I went to see Musiq Soul Child. Sound was terrible. The drummer and bass drowned out his voice. Maybe it was just a bad night for him, but he would have sounded better a cappella than screaming over the drummer. I could have done without the MC. DJ between sets was great!

I love her and everything she does. I just wished she would ve stayed on a little longer but overall, the show was amazing.

I really enjoyed the concert, all 3 singers were wonderful and I would go to another concert.

If it wasn't for Donell Jones, my ranking would be less than one star. I'm not a huge Monica fan but her performance was good. Case not showing up was not a major deal but slightly disappointing. The emcee was entertaining but overall the event appeared to be very unorganized. Coming from Birmingham, I was disappointed in the turnout. The venue is very nice but with the turnout maxing out at 50%, makes you wonder why this show was booked in Huntsville instead of a larger city like Birmingham or Tuscaloosa where it's known that people actually come out in LARGE numbers. Thank you Donell Jones...he was my only reason for driving up there. Promoters take note: Huntsville isn't ready to host acts like that. Consider Birmingham and the people will show up in droves and want more of the same.

The concert was outstanding! Monica and Tank really gave their fans what they needed.

Monica's is phenomenal. She sang some of my favorite songs and she talked to the audience like we were her old friends.

I had the best time. Didn't know Tank was a comedian as well as singer. And of course My favorite artist Monica showed up and showed out!!!

I was truly looking forward to seeing Monica Avant & Melanie Fiona... beware the host of this event is HORRIBLE not only did she kick Avant off the stage in the middle of performing she kept dancing around on the stage as if it was her show!!!! this is supposed to be "love stories" however the DJ in the mist of changing the artist kept playing rap & hip hop music!!!! There was no act in the middle of the artist changing out beside the host dancing around on stage. There was no set up for each performer no back drop NOTHING they just stood on stage and performed!!!! I recently went to a Fantasia & Anthony Hamilton show which was AWESOME !! They could take notes from how that concert was set up!

I have been a fan of Monica's since her first album. And I know now why she has lasted so long. She sounds even more amazing in person as she does on her records. She had several costume changes and performed a good mix of her hit songs and new songs. I had VIP tickets so I was able to meet her after and it was probably one of my favorite moments of 2015.

I had a great time seeing Monica in concert. She sounded and looked Beautiful. The music could have been a Lil lower it over powered her voice. And the wait to get in the theater was ridiculous and very upsetting. Although I had a great time, I would not go to the Gramercy ever again for a concert because of how long I had to wait outside to get in the theater. Tickets said 7:00pm. We were not able to get into the theater until after 7:30pm.

If you enjoyed Monica's music over the years then go see her in concert! She sung all of her hits plus some new music from the Code Red album. Rico Love was good too, I enjoyed some of his music. The audience was mature, no fights or drama! Overall a good concert!

We didn't really catch any of Rico Love's set but what we did hear, he sounded pretty good. Monica came out and we caught life! She sounded and looked great and spent time to connect with the audience. Monica slays! Unfortunately, her DJ didn't slay. He was annoying.

Monica and Rico were great! I love the soundboard venue its so nice and intimate.

This show was amazing!! It was well put together and organized. The local group that opened the show was even a good act. Of course the best part of the show is when Monica came out and sang her heart OUT! I'm not just saying that because she's my favorite singer, she's a genuine and down to earth artist!

Monica was absolutely everything I thought she would be....nothing short of AMAZING. I had to make sure I caught her at this show because the last time she was in Omaha where I lived I missed the show and was heartbroken. Not only did I get to see her perform but I met her and she was so sweet! A beautiful person inside and out. I was so nervous/happy when I met her, I forgot to tell her my husband & daughter said hello & they love her just as much as I do lol While she was incredible, the VIP listers experience was very unorganized. We had to stand in a line before the show to receive our VIP after show passes, giving other normal ticket buyers better chances of the good seats. By the time we were out of line all the good ones were taken. Then after the show, her bodyguard, Big Curt, and the manager of the venue shared some choice words because the bodyguard instructed us to do one thing while the manager was very rude to both him and us. He raised his voice on a number of occasions. Would have been great all around if the Meet & Greet was a bit more organized.

I really enjoyed myself!!! The venue was nice and the performances was great!! Monica and Rico Love made sure we were engaged and they sung real music .

I went to this concert by myself. Monica is my favorite singer , not one of my favorite singers, but my favorite singer. Monica you didn't owe me, the crowd, or the stage nothing. You killed it, this was my 1st time being able to come and see you. But this will definitely not be my last. Thanks to you and Rico for bringing back that old school r&b.

Rico Love lyrics have depth and you can tell he's passionate about music and respects the art of making great music!! I'm glad I got to see him perform live because he sounds much better than the radio. I downloaded his TTLO cd from Google play as soon as I got home. Monica is freaking amazing!!!! It just don't get no realer!! Oh my goodness, she is so genuine, humble, and that woman can SINGGGG!!! I mean sing from the gut! You know that REAL singing, that ONLY someone blessed from God can do. Yeah honey, she has that blessing and it was beyond wonderful to experience her voice live!!! I wanted more, didn't want the concert to end! I cannot wait until her album Code Red comes out this month!

Monica was absolutely amazing, just as I expected. This was the 2nd time I've seen her in concert and she outdid herself. I loved the energy she displayed....she kept the crowd hyped. She is my absolute favorite artist and I'm so glad I got to see her.....still smiling 4 days later:)

The show was amazing, my seat was great, This was an unforgettable nigjt hope to buy more ticketd to see Monica and the future she is a beautiful person with a beautiful voice.

I loved the performances from all three artists but what I didnt like was the wait between each of them. There was almost an hour wait between Musiq and Monica and they were trying too hard to stall us. I thought that was very unprofessional and we shouldve gotten some of our money back.

I love each of the artists who performed; however, the intermissions were way too long. I would say amateurs were on stage longer than the actual performers. Chrisette Michele's performance was too short and she sang over tracks. I've seen her twice before for free and she sang way more and had live music. Musiq was good and had a live band. Monica's voice was flawless; however, I was disappointed to see as a headliner she had no band. She too sang over tracks. Her performance also seemed short due to her extreme lateness (no fault of her own). Overall, I enjoyed the concert, but was there way too long.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY//SOOOOO FUN! ME AND MY FRIENDS HAD A GREAT TIME// ID GO TO HER CONCERT EVERYDAY IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.

I was thoroughly expressed with Monica. My first time seeing her perform. She gave a tremendous performance. My 2nd time seeing Ledisi. She is always great. Musiq is a lazy performer. Saw him last year and chalked up his performance to a bad sound system. It's wasn't the sound this time. He expects the crowd to sing half his songs. I paid to hear him sing, not the audience. His shows have very little energy. I'm still a fan if his music, but I won't pay to see him perform again.

Ok worth the price if you don't have to spend the night.

Monica was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. The intimacy of the venue was great however it was to hot and to many opening acts. The DJ was fantastic keeping the crowd entertained with Old School music before Monica came out on stage. I purchased the VIP tickets and I was disappointed that it cam with no table or chairs.... the only perk was it was in a designated area (standing by bar only). This was the hottest area in the entire building so I could have saved the extra few bucks purchasing general admission.

So happy I bought tickets! Monica was amazing. What a talented beauty

This was an amazing concert that I attended for my birthday. All the artist performed extremely well all vocals were on point. My highlight was of course Monica my favorite female artist of my era. But who surprised me the most was Ashanti.

Had an amazing time! I dont feel as if Monica held up to my expectations with her performance but case exceeded my expectations by coming up to where we were at and Ashanti did great

First time at Chene Park. I will definitely be going again.

This concert was one of the best shows I've seen in forever it brought back so many memories and made me realize why I love music so much! The guys were cool but Monica and Ashanti tore the house down! Vocally, visually and all that! Love them both! And to top it off I was able to meet Ashanti for the second time and I was able to speak to Monica's kids!

It was a great show and great experience for my first time there
