Eagles

In today’s faddish, fractured rock landscape, it’s refreshing that classic bands like the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre -- Dad may not know what Spotify is, and Little Johnny may not know what LP stands for, but chances are both know the words to “Hotel California.” As the best-selling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles’ relaxed harmonies and California-inspired sound came to define what critics eventually dubbed classic rock, and cemented their role as enduring musical icons. Since forming in 1971, the band has undergone breakups, makeups, and more than its fair share of success and drama – so much drama, in fact, that 2013’s career-spanning documentary History of the Eagles had to be released as a two-parter. In support of the film, the Eagles are back on the road in 2013 for the History of the Eagles tour, which frontman Don Henley has hinted may be their last – meaning this may well be fans’ final opportunity to see the Eagles play their greatest hits in concert.

I grew up in the 80s and fell in love with the Eagles. First concert ever and it was one I will never forget! The sound, the performance and Joe Walsh was on fiyah! The voice and the energy; the best ever.

Eagles are amazing in concert. The loss of Glenn Frey is tragic, however, his son Deacon Frey and country music star Vince Gill split up those sons and do an amazing job. The harmonies are outstanding and the music is awesome. Almost 3 hours of joy in Boston tonight!

What a concert! These guys sound has not changed over all these years. They make the sound fresh ... like when I first hear them in the 70's. Great musicians and showmen. What a great time we had at the bowl!

Well, the crowd is always interesting to watch before, during and after the show. My, we are getting old! Talking with folks in line for some popcorn at the intermission, we acknowleged the lack of spark. The band was doing a fine job with the songs, but the performance lacked the drive that a great show has from the get-go. The second half of the show got going along, not so much from the song selection, but from the band (great horn section and fiddle player!) getting into gear. Joe Walsh seemed to be "in and out," although I'm sure they all have played these songs in their sleep ad infinitum. There were three encores, each very enjoyable; and the band played for three hours with a half an hour break mid-stream. I think they need to write and perform some stuff with a new twist, or take, on their social vision and rock/country sensibilities. I guess that is the challenge for an aging band: great professionals looking for something to say in a new and ingenious way......

This concert will be the best to hit Denver this summer. I ve purchased my tickets and can t wait for May 20th! Probably the most versatile band to hit planet earth. They still do all the old rock stuff that you grew up with as well as progressive rock and country. The fallout with Don didn t make an impact. Steuart is probably one of the best guitar players of all time and his resume speaks for itself!

Caught them in Kansas City at the Sprint Center. Were absolutely blown away. When we found out they were coming BACK to the Sprint Center we got tickets again (less than a year later) and were blown away AGAIN! They sound just like their recordings if not better- they connect with the audience - and the videos they use as background were just incredible. The music was crisp - the crowd got into the entire evening. When they finished it seemed as if they just started - even though they took a break half way through the concert. The next time they tour (please - let there be a next time) - we are there again!

My husband & I went 3 years ago and seen them here in San Diego, California at Cox Arena, what a spectacular performance they put on. All the members & their band couldn't have done better. The sound output was phenominal and I loved the slide show presentation of them in their early band years. All I can say is WOW! They're probably one of the few bands left that all the members are still together, so fantastic.

I have seen the Eagles over 30 times in the UK, Ireland and USA. They are awesome and they get better with every year. They are one of the few groups that go for three hours - real value for money, singing all their classics as well as new stuff from long road out of eden album. They are truly fabuous band - you come away feeling on top of the world and I would urge you to go and make this an experience to remember xxx :_

I saw the Eagles' "Eden" tour one year ago this month in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After one year, I am still thinking about how outstanding this show was. Although "Eden" has great music, it is best appreciated live. The album was not familiar to me at the time but being a long time Eagles fan, I figured I could "Put Up With" the new stuff and wait for the classics. How wrong I was! They played a fair amount of the new album and it sounded just as good and at times, better than the old classics. The "Eden" album, not sold as a regular cd but only available on-line, is already a classic album. The range in talent on this album and the energy they showed playing it live is something to behold even if you are not the biggest of Eagles' fan. I am hoping they decide to come around again and I strongly recommend this show to any fan of great music and refined talent. They not only still have it, they're better than ever before and they will rock your socks off! The Eagles are truly an American Classic Rock Band with a little bit country!

The music was fantastic and sounded great, even up high. Complaints are that too many things hanging from the ceiling were blocking views, especially blocked the Jumbo Tron. Cheap seats (which were not very cheap) should be able to view screens and stage with ZERO blockage. Just not fair!

This was a once in a lifetime concert! The Eagles are legendary - Joe Walsh is still the entertainer, Vince Gill was a needed vocal addition, and it was amazing to see Deacon Frey. Sets were incredible and musical arrangements were new and refreshing. But the venue - not good! Sound in AT&T is horrible for a concert...paying $1000 each for floor seats you would expect much more more. Departure through the catacombs of the stadium (as required) was also ridiculous!

I play in a band and understand running sound. You can NEVER please each seat. I get that.. but when the upper deck, 4 rows from the top seat can't see the stage well one would think one of the largest TV screens in the world would be used to help bring the show to the fan. The big screen was NOT used for some reason. Extremely dissatisfied customer with a nose bleed seat of $110... Why was this screen not used? Thank you

The Eagles have been my favorite group for over 40 years! They have the best sound vocally and musically! Even after all these years, they still got it! From the opening acapella song Seven Bridges Road to the closing classic Desperado , the Eagles put on a wonderful show! They played their classics for 2 and a half hours. The addition of Vince Gill and Glenn Frey s son Deacon was a great idea! The only negative comment I have is that Don Henley did not perform any of his solo material while Vince Gill did 1 song and Joe Walsh did several! I was beginning to think it was the Joe Walsh and Eagles show. But even my wife commented on how they sound just as good in concert as they do on the radio! Highly recommend!

Having seen them before Glen s passing, it was different at first. Yet, the addition of Vince Gill and Deacon Frey made one move beyond the past and appreciate their talents as compared to the Eagles with Glen. Timothy, Don, and Joe we re outstanding in their own rights and collectively with Vince and Deacon. The sound in the Smoothie King Center was fantastic ( kudos to the sound crew). My only complaint was a slight visual obstruction to the video screens from our seats by some speakers suspended from the rafters.

As Don Henley told the crowd in his opening comments ... "we're going to play 2 1/2 hours for you ... because we can." Hit after hit after hit, the Eagles had the crowd singing along! The tribute to Glenn Frey along with his son Deacon taking lead on a few of his dad's hits brought tears to the eyes of many in the crowd. The addition of Vince Gill is a great choice. Vince's voice and guitar licks fit perfectly into the Eagles. And they honored JJ Cale while singing Tulsa Time ... the crowd wildly approved! The multi media and various camera angles were awesome. The video production guys were having way too much fun with their effects which really added to the show. Two thumbs up! I'd go again tomorrow!

We flew from South Carolina to Minneapolis for this concert. In general it did not disappoint. First time seeing Jimmy Buffet and he was great and engaged well with the crowd, which was full of Hawaiian shirts, leis, Margaritaville clothing and actual parrotheads. He played for 85 minutes. The Eagles performed for almost 2.5 hours. We saw them on their History tour in Charlotte about 5? years ago. This did not match that, and only partly because of the absence of the late Glenn Frey. His son Deacon was exceptionally good, and Vince Gill's voice works well on Frey's songs. What was missing was the storytelling from the History tour, and noticeably in the background for much of the evening was the face of the Eagles, Don Henley. They had an incredible co lead guitarist (with my husband's idol Joe Walsh) Stueart Smith, who was not acknowledged. Longtime band member Timothy Schmitt at least got some more time in the spotlight than last time, even singing one of Henley's songs. Don't get me wrong, I love the Eagles and we are considering going to San Diego to see them with another favorite the Doobie Brothers. There were just a few minor takeaways.

Concert was best I have ever seen!! Getting into it was worst I have ever seen...we spent over an hour in a mob scene in front of Coors Field in record 105° heat trying to get through security. Not good, people!! You need more check points and more help getting fans through them...we missed half of Jimmy Buffet!! Eagles were outstanding, miss Glenn Frey terribly, but his son, Deacon Frey, is a GREAT addition to the band, as is Vince Gill. They played for 2 1/2 hours straight, with 2 encores! Loved that they did all their old classic songs. They said they love Colorado and have many ties to our state, and it sure showed by their outstanding performance! Jimmy Buffett sang too long. The Eagles Show was a 5-Star performance. Fantastic. 2 hours. But it's not the same Eagles that I have loved . Yes, Glenn Frye's absence was quickly felt. He brought warmth and character to the stage. His son Deacon is very much a lightweight now, and sang just a couple of Glenn's songs. Vince Gillis was the primary replacement for Glenn. Good, but not Glenn. But it was more than the absence of Frye to make it a much different Eagles. This show is a blockbuster performance. Lighting, effects, 3 screens, getting more amped as the night continued. But this is no longer the warm, friendly group with great songs and group vocals. The Eagles are now a loud, orchestrated blockbuster group with great songs, and individual strong vocals. Joe Walsh led the vocals, the energy. Vince Gillis second. Don Henley was not very obvious. I love these new Eagles in concert. I loved the old Eagles in the shower, riding my Harley, having a beer, anywhere. Anywhere, not just a concert.

I only have 2 complaints. 1) It was very hard to understand Stapleton s lyrics compared to the Eagles. 2) Something has to be done about getting people home. We had to walk 3 miles to our hotel because we couldn t get an Uber or Lyft ride.

Only The Eagles could jam for almost a full three hours and still leave you wanting more. For a band that has been together, and then apart, and then different for over 40 years they sure know how to make you feel every single one of their songs. This show was particularly poignant as Deacon Frey played in place of his gone but not forgotten father, and truly channeled his pops' voice and charm. Also, the addition of Vince Gill was very well received. And man oh man can Mr. Don Henley still hit those notes. Bucket list show. No complaints!

The Eagle's took the stage a lil before 9pm and played almost until 12 midnight. Music was so authentic sounded like original tracks! Glenn Frey's grandson, Deacon Frey is now a guitarist in his place and memory. Ultimate cool concert!!!!!

Best concert I've ever been to. No fanfare and drama and no dancers everywhere and all kinds of things to entertain you. Just good music and good musicians and amazing voices!

From the opening song "Seven Bridges Road" to "Hotel California" and etc. The Eagles were incredibly fantastic at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Friday, June 15, 2018!!! Don Henley leads this band of consummate professionals. Deacon Frey did an excellent job, and Vince Gill was the perfect fit to take the late Glenn Frey's vocal parts. Timothy B. Schmidt was incredible with his shimmering vocals and steadfast bottom line. But Joe Walsh is the driving force behind this behemoth band. His impeccable guitar playing, vocal ability and showmanship is truly undeniable. May The Eagles continue to play for many years to come!

Great concert. Played more of their mellower music at the beginning but brought the house down with their classic hits. Venue was good just wish the acoustics were better but where else do you schedule one of the best bands ever for all their fans!

What a fantastic show!!! Minute Maid park was filled to the rafters. Just goes to show you how much this band is loved. The stage was huge. It had to be at least 10 stories high and took up 1/2 of the outfield. Chris Stapleton started the show and we loved his bluesy country rock. He puts on quite a show. Lots of his hits and a few I d never heard before. Great show! Then on to the Eagles with Vince Gill and Glenn Fry s son; Deacon. That kid didn t fall far from the tree. Looks like a young Glenn and the boy can sing and play. He s a great addition to the band. And Vince Gill... he is already known for his singing and guitar playing and he fit right in harmonically with the Eagles. The band played 27 songs. At least two hours. They still can harmonize like no other band. It was like seeing several concerts in one with solos by Deacon Fry, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit! . It was a fabulous night of awesome music from America s favorite band! Best concert ever!

Took two musicians to replace Glen Frey, but they never skipped a beat. It was great to hear actual singers and musicians with great harmony without electronic voice backgrounds.

Vince Gill and his amazing voice. Glen Frey s son. It was as if I had been taken back in time 25 years ago. I can t believe how good their voices still are. Joe Walsh hitting those notes still!! Wow!

I was so hoping that with Glenn Frey gone that the Eagles would not have lost their long term appeal as one of the best icon bands ever. I was not disappointed. The concert was almost 3 hours long and every song, every guitar solo, every word sung was in true Eagles style. Vince Gill fit in so well as did Deacon Frey, making every song ALL Eagles. Was Glenn Frey missed? Yes indeed he was, but his soul and memory are still on stage every night this group performs. He was loved by all and no one can forget him. That said the rest of the band are still the Eagles in every way, many of the original or long term members are there performing as they always have! And the special effects are great, so a bad seat turns into a great seat as you can see a 20' view of each person. I highly recommend the Eagles in concert and I would go back again and again if the opportunity arises. God Bless Glenn Frey.

What an awesome first concert for my youngest (17) son and I to attend. I have been to many concerts and the Eagles did not disappoint. They opened up with 7 Bridges Road and the harmonies adding Vince Gill and Deacon Frey (Glenn Frey's Son) to the mix was genius. A moving tribute to one of the originals that shaped their music. We had a great time at the event and The Moda even upgraded our tickets for free without us asking because our seats were behind the stage. So my boy and I found ourselves in a 200 level seat that we would not have been able to afford otherwise. The parking spot we chose was less than 2 blocks from the event and only cost us $10 showing up 15 min before the opening band started. We still got inside easily and got to our new seats with plenty of time to listen to a few tunes from the opening band and then grab some refreshments before the Eagles came out. They played all of their great tunes and even threw in a few Joe Walsh solo tunes and an oldie but goodie from the James Gang. They even played one of Vince Gills tunes that fits right in to the Eagles country leaning roots...

I was curious if the new line up would be able to match the great musical gift I have experienced the 3 previous times I have seen the Eagles. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! This line up works, I miss Glenn Frey and his son Deacon has the potential to be everything his father ever was. He is a talented guitarist with a fabulous voice. Vince Gill, while good in his time, turned out to give the best I have ever witnessed of himself. Joe Walsh, though he looks 120, played like he was 25. With the exception of Don Henley they all appeared to be having a great time, even Timothy B. Schmit who was seated the entire night with an apparent broke leg. This line up worked for me.

I use to wish I had seen the Eagles before Glen's passing..but now with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill I feel I have seen the Eagles! Great show, great sound, and a great tribute to Glenn. Joe Walsh was amazing..as was the whole show..I wish they would have done one or two of Don Henley's songs and some of their new stuff..but there is only so much time...Kudos again to Deacon :)

The best concert I ve seen! The gave it their all, and some. They entertained for two and half hours as Henley promised at the start. The tribute to Glen Frey and adding Glen s son, Deacon along with Vince Gill to the band is priceless. They have the unique ability in making more than music. They ve made memories for millions of us. I found myself tearing up and dancing at the same time. They are masterful and haven t lost sight of the past nor present. I will forever remember this night.

I m a child of the 70 s and never saw the Eagles so it was a big deal for me. Sad without Glenn but Deacon was great, loved him. The harmonies and eight guitarists on stage at some points was incredible. Joe Walsh was simply amazing! They played for over 2 1/2 hours and the show surpassed all my expectations. Thanks guys!!!!
