Montgomery Symphony Orchestra

This year was amazing with so many different suites! The Hand Bells were truly beautiful. There is nothing that will get you in the Christmas spirit more than attending the Holiday Pops Concert! Love you all and thanks for all the hard work putting this show together.

The Christmas program was beautiful! A very nice variety of types of music. I always love music from The Nutcracker. I did miss having soloists this year, although the bell choirs added a different element to the program.

We're going to start going to their regular performances because the holiday performance was so enjoyable!

This was the best Christmas Pops Concert that I have ever attended and I have been to quite a few. It was breathtaking and so moving! Thank you to the symphony for helping to bring in the Christmas season in such a memorable way!

The first half of this concert was like a funeral. The second half was like the gathering after the funeral...kind of upbeat, but subdued. The first time I've ever left a holiday concert depressed. 1st time and last time.

The first half, before intermission was miserable. My date commented, she felt she was at a funeral. This was suppose to be a Hoilday Pops Concert. There are so many great Christmas carols/songs. Instead we were listening to drab songs in Latin. The symphony needs to have some fun at the pops concert and everyone else will.

Very good execution by the orchestra and singing by the choir. I personally would have been much happier and entertained by classical or pop versions of common christmas songs. The songs we heard were not entertaining to me or my wife.... But the technical playing by the orchestra was excellent! Love our orchestra.

A great show! I'd listen to it year-round, it was just so fun!

So enjoyed hearing Michael Hix, featured soloist, with the Montgomery Symphony!! If you have the chance to hear this talented vocalist, by all means ...go!! The venue, the Montgomery Performing Arts Center, was fantastic. Easy parking ($7). We had mezzanine seats (BB 40-41). This was a great place to enjoy the music! Easy access to elevator, too! The only negative was the concert was held on Monday night. UGH. Need I say more about that particular day of the week?!

Was just a great night. Nice venue, great music, wonderful and unexpected singer.

Just a great light concert for the Christmas season. Always a great concert and having at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre made the concert even better.

Not up to their normal quality. The performance for 2011 was outstanding. They could have phoned this one in. Bleh on music quality, just no energy there.

This night at the symphony, watching the orchestra in amazement, couldn't have been any better !! Our seats were perfect, the music was touching and beautiful !! This was the best event we have been to in Montgomery, and I am looking forward to going next year also !!

This is the first time we have attended this event. They performed very well! I will definitely be going back next year. It really helps get you in the Christmas frame of mind.

The choice of compositions was excellent. The quality of performance and conducting was outstanding. The tenor from Birmingham, Elias, was magnificent. Please bring him again.

Was not feeling like Christmas until now. No amount of old Christmas reruns, blinking lights, or Black Friday sales put me in the "spirit" like this show did. Wonderful selections. Amazing vocals. Great orchestration.

My family andI could not have been happier with the Montgomery Symphony Holiday Pops concert. They played many old favortes along with some popular classical Christmas music from around the world. It was lively and upbeat, in a very convenient and comfortable venue. I hope to be able to attend every year!
