After seeing Joe three times in the last 5 years, I can say that his voice sounded better than ever. Joe looked slimmer and gave his famous yell in many songs which was right on pitch. He sang all of his hits and his back up singers were awesome.

He still has the voice and still rocks at 65! Some of the longer notes - especially the high note in "You Are So Beautiful" - didn't last as long - but he still hit them. There was a great mixture of you andold in the audience - and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

The song list was well chosen and performed with so much soul. The backup band was exceptional, especially the piano player. They were such an eclectic group but performed together with such ease and really seemed to be having a great time! The sound balance and level were excellent.

Joe Cocker still has the right stuff. His voice is as soulful now as it was in his younger years and he can still hit those infamous gut wrenching notes. The choice of songs was well rounded and even though he has a repertoire worthy enough to fill three more similar venues, he performed most of his classics ranging from rock pounding "Come Together" and "My baby wrote me a letter" to the more soulful ballads "You are so beautiful" and "Mountain High". Even the most picky of fans undoubtedly got their fill. As to be expected, the ensemble of musicians accompanying this rock legend (which is astonishingly still not in the Rock of Fame), was impressive in its own right, delivering a solid musical performance with jamming solos throughout the night. And what better location than the magical evening ambience of the Greek Theater with its remarkable acoustical resonance and vibrancy. After such a rich experience, one can't help but feel honored and humbled to have had a rare and perhaps final opportunity to have been part of an unforgettable performance by a legendary icon.

We are not big Joe Cocker fans and only went because of Huey Lewis. that is why we gave 4 out of 5 because we would have liked to see Huey play that entire time. My husband has seen Huey play 6 times since the early 1970's and said there was not as much energy but that makes sense. overall, great show and I hope he comes back in the next few years so we can see him again BY HIMSELF. :)

Even though it was a rainy night in Clarkston, Michigan...the performances by Huey Lewis and the News followed by Joe Cocker was anything but gloomy! Huey Lewis and the News played a wide variety of all of their hits plus a few off of their latest CD "Soulsville". Joe Cocker was really good as well!

Bethel Woods is a fabulous venue with a traffic issue. Fortunately, because of the weather and predictions of storms throughout the evening, this was not a factor for this concert. It was a pleasure getting in and out (getting there early and leaving during the encore) and the talent was terrific. Huey Lewis and the News were crowd pleasers, all over the stage and always drawing the audience into their music. I would absolutely see them again. Joe Cocker still has the voice, the music was awesome, but they stayed a bit too far back on the stage and never really moved from their "spots". All in all, the concert was extremely enjoyable and I don't regret heading over to Sullivan count in the rain!!!

The performance and the stage presence that Huey Lewis still commands was worth the ticket price alone. But adding to that was the pleasure of watching the Woodstock video of Joe in the museum, and then seeing him live on stage. History relived 43 years later. It was absolutely tremendous. The only way to top this was to put them together on the stage.........

Great concert. Hard to believe Joe Cocker is 68 years old. Played all of his greatest songs. He didn't move around the stage much. I would have been disappointing if I didn't have great seats in the middle of the stage. I was disappointed with his backup singers. I expected much better. Up Where We Belong we a major letdown. Don't get me wrong, Joe was fantastic and I had to smile every time he did his signature wail (which was about 20 times). I was able to get 2nd row pit center on the day of the concert thru ticketmaster.

This is the second Joe Cocker concert I've gone to. Joe's band and backup singers are always top-notch. Joe is so full of energy and so emotional when singing his songs, whether they are high-energy songs or tender love songs. The time flies by too quickly, but the memories of the concert remain long after!

Huey was the opening act he had an eight piece band and two backup singers. They did a fantastic job. They did a lot of their old songs, a few new ones, and a couple of covers. The band was really tight and three of the guys have been with him since the beginning. The horn section was strong and during the encore they had a Doobie Brothers sax player sit in with them. Everyone was standing at the end, they really rocked the house. But that was only the warm up. Cocker came out with a six piece band a two backup singers and was on from the first song. A lot of Joe's song are piano based and the piano player was a pro. I loved the bass player and she was excellent. I kinda forgot just how many hits Joe has had over the years and he just cranked them out one after another. He did all of his hits, did a blues song and Huey came out and backed him up with the harmonica. People were singing along to Up Where We Belong, You Can Leave Your Hat On, a cover of the Beatles Come Together and others. The show was originally supposed to be at the Tower near Philadelphia but was moved to the Trop., reason unknown. He wasn't a sell-out but was well attended. The Trop. was handing out comp tickets to a few of their high rollers and we heard some of them turned them down. They have no idea how great of a concert they missed. I've been to a fair number of concerts over the years and this was easily in my top five, maybe in the top three.

We ended up with tickets for both performances. First night in the upper sections and second night on the floor in the first 20 or so rows. They put on a great show both nights and varied the set list a bit. Dave Mason played first and ran through a bunch of his own music. Then Joe Cocker did his set and a duet with Dave. If you are a fan of either one it would be well worth catching them on this tour.

Both Dave Mason and Joe Cocker were excellent. Dave's set was wonderful, just him with another guitarist. Music was perfect, and of course his songs brought me back to my youth. His back up singers were better the last time I saw him, but still, thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Joe Cocker is awesome! One doesn't realize all the good music he has made over the years until he sings one hit after another. The band is fantastic and included two girl backup singers that help create the orginal records. Nothing fancy here; Joe just sings his heart out and is soaking wet at the end of the night. He also did an encore made up of 4 songs.

Joe is just as electric, just as soulful, and the voice has not changed one iota since his early days. OK, he is not jumping around like 30 years ago, and he looks a little like George Carlin now, but the show, the backup band, and the VOICE takes you back to the heyday of rock. The crowd was into it and I thought the song selection was tremendous. A 3 song encore just added to the experience. Would have given 5 stars, but was a little disappointed at the Dave Mason opening. An acoustic set with 2 players for 25 minutes was not what I was hoping for from the man who was once Traffic.

Before this show, I was somewhat familiar with Cocker's repretoire and legendary singing style. But never enough to go out and buy his records. But, seeing him live blew me away. He is a consumate performer and a power house singer, even at his age. He is truly a legend. His band was just as riveting, eight super professional musicians. The Hammond organist was terrific, backup vocals, everyone! Now I want to start acquiring some of his works. My only regret is that it took me forty years to begin appreciating him.

I had never seen Joe Cocker in concert before and he has been on my bucket lis of must see concerts for some time. Was all excited about concert. It was entertaining, but I felt like he didn't bring it. His signature screeches and quirky stage demeanor are his main attraction. The band was way overpowering. Couldn't figure out if that was deliberate or whether sound guy didn't get it. Perhaps age is catching up to Joe. Like I said, it was entertaining, but I expected better.

I'll admit I had my doubts...Joe Cocker and Huey Lewis? When I purchased the tickets, my thought was that it'd be a Huey Lewis concert with a little Joe "on the side." I couldn't have been more wrong. Huey Lewis & TN were ok, but they didn't play quite a few of the hits they're known for, opting to play more recent material and some covers of classics. Huey didn't seem particularly engaged with the crowd which surprised me given it was the last show of the tour. Instead of ending the tour with a bang, he seemed rather....tired. Joe Cocker was a completely different story, and OWNED the crowd from the moment he stepped on stage. To say we were blown away by his energy would be an understatement. Every song he sang sounded as though he'd just recorded it that day, with as much passion and enthusiasm. I'd have to say the only exception would be "Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong" because the backup singer simply did NOT do the song justice. She was off-key for much of the song, and her efforts to "make it her own" were not appreciated. Sorry, but the song's been around longer than you - pay it (and Joe) some respect by singing it properly. Long and short? I'll buy Cocker tickets again if he comes around. I'll probably pass on Huey Lewis, though. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Cocker tunes I need to add to my MP3.....

Well...I didn't see THAT coming! I just assumed Joe Cocker would be opening for Huey Lewis. We all know Huey-great music, great performer...right? And he was; however, HE opened the show and great as he was - it was Joe who took the place down! Maybe it's because the opening act is at a loss cause they are just getting the audience warmed up. But Huey did mention it was the last show of this tour - maybe he was a little tired? Joe Cocker however was so ON IT! What a performance! This guy is heart and soul - I don't care how many birthdays he has - it was perfection! I even ran out and bought one of his "best of" CDs! Thanks for a most memorable evening!!!

Huey was everything the girls needed him to be. His Band was top notch and if you went to hear what made you love Huey Lewis and the News, you did not go away dissappointed. Joe Cocker, well now, that's a different matter. If he had sounded like,,,,and had the same stage presence, and done the same songs he did last night, way back when he was in his prime, he would be even wealthier, and have more awards than he does at present. He could've played all night and nobody would have left. It was a wonderful night in Santa Barbara for all who attended

I really went to see Huey, seeing Cocker was out of curiosity, Turned out Huey was bland for the News, but Cocker was incredible....what a surprise!

I hope they return again soon! Best concert I have been to in a while. So entertaining, amazing performers and beautiful venue. Wish I could see them once a month! Hope you can book them again soon. I understand Joe Cocker is rarely in the states performing. That's too bad. Been a fan for many years.

A fabulous concert. Joe Cocker and Huey Lewis played what we came to hear. Not disappointed in the least. Well worth the price of the tickets.

Joe played a lot of his classics. It was great. The only disappointment was that he did not play "High Time We Went", one of my favorites. Oh well, maybe next time.

Joe Cocker was awesome. He is older (aren't we all) but that voice sounds just the same. We had a great time. Thank goodness Harvey's has dancing areas!

Joe Cocker.... and all of his raw emotion !! Still doing it after over 30 years in the business. He is no shrinking Violet.... that is for sure... !! In real life, he is a most unobtrusive gentle man. On stage he is full of passion and raw, naked emotion.... ever present with the song.. he is Singing !! ...then: Huey Lewis... consumate entertainer... !! Gleeful and ready !! Quick with the quip.... !! and his harmonica... Wow !! Don't miss.... if you have the chance... One wonders, how Joe can still sing each hit with so much feeling at each show .... A top notch professional he is.....Huey... is cute and very entertaining !!

Couldn't have been better! A wonderful billing, good crowd, and high energy. Oh, and did I say the musicians were superb?

Huey Lewis was awesome Joe Cocker I love but I think he may have been not feeling well that night. Saw Joe Cocker 4 years ago and I know how awesome he is I think some thing was wrong but he pushed throught it I would see them again for sure. The only problem was the 6 drunk people around me that wanted to talk and yell at each other instead of listening to the artist. So rude I had to leave my seat that I paid 99.00 Dollars for before tax and go stand on the side with the people that were there to listen to the artist and dance and have fun.

Huey Lewis and the News were not in the same league as Joe Cocker and his magnificent band. I cannot understand why they appeared together. Joe Cocker was simply amazing. His voice is like no other. Sexy, powerful, wrenching. Wish he would tour the U.S. more often, as I would love to see him again.

Huey Lewis and the News were great! Huey's voice hasn't changed much from his younger years and they had lots of energy and played all the songs I knew. Huey also is a great harmonica player! Joe was great! I was hoping that he had the same great voice and sound and I wasn't disappointed. His band was great. There's nothing like professional musicians! Harveys or Harrah's Outdoor Arena is a wonderful venue but I think that this concert was quite overpriced. I think they should have lowered the prices a little. They would have had a much better turn out.

For "old guys" (my generation), they rocked it!!! I'm so surprised at the stamina and the passion with which they both perform! I've seen both before and would see both again. So having a two-for-one night at Lake Tahoe, it was epic!

Great concert giving everyone a 2 for 1! Would have been worth while with Huey alone, as Huey Lewis absolutely rocked the house! Joe Cocker a little less so, but still gave a very good show. Loved it!
