Oh my gosh, where should I start?! Since Grouplove is my favorite band of all time, I got to the venue at around 10:30 in the morning and I was the second one in line(doors open @7:00). The area was pretty nice so my friend and I got donuts in the morning (it was right around the corner), and we got pizza for lunch and dinner (down the street). Okay so about the actual concert, we go in and the boys and girls got separated which was dumb, but after that we got into four lines. So we go in, and the only complaint I have is that the merch table wasn't ready when everyone got in. Anyways, both opening acts were great, but Grouplove, Grouplove was absolutely pheonominal!!! The concert starts, and I start crying because I made it to second row middle and every one starts dancing. Later that night, I had a note for the band and Hannah took it which was pretty dope. It got even better when Hannah and Christian crowd surfed, and the light work throughout the show was super cool. Also, when Ryan threw his drumstick, I ALMOST caught it! Overall, with everything included, the show was pretty dope!

I already knew I loved their music but seeing them live made me know they're going to be a huge band. The day my wife & I saw the show was the bands album release. The band rocked the Bowery Ballrooms small stage with an energetic set. Although the band is made up of an eclectic group of people they played a tight set. The only disappointment I had was the disappointing assortment of t-shirts to choose from. I don't understand why such an artsy band didn't come up with a better selection. I wish they would have put the artwork they have on their drums or the large poster of the girl on a tee.

The show grouplove put on was great, I would recommend them to anyone, but the venue seemed to just be an excuse for tons of people to get really drunk and annoying. I prefer my music to be about my music, not getting fucked up and causing problems with those around me.

The Grouplove/Young Man show at Bowery Ballroom was awesome. Grouplove came out with a ton of love and appreciation for being in NYC for their album release party night. They were loving the crowd and the crowd loved them back. They sounded great and the venue wasn't too crowded - everyone was dancing and smiling. Definitely would see them again wherever they go.

grouplove has a lot of energy. this was the first time i'd seen them and i enjoyed every minute of it. i was a little peeved starting out because the tickets said doors at 7:00 - i showed up for the show at 8:00, only to find out grouplove wasn't going on until 10. not a terrible thing, but for a work night with a drive from long island, it put my night a little later than planned. but the show was well worth the wait. the energy the band put out made the 2 hour wait well worth it. they sounded better in person than i'd expected, and they ended the show with colours, which was awesome. i would definitely go to see them again!

I'm into a lot of different music and go to a lot of shows. This was hands down the most fun I have ever had at a concert. I never doubted their song execution would be great, but it was perfect. The creativity and eccentricity written into their songs straight-up exploded all over the venue. So much audio and visual stimulus I forgot which was which. I wish today (7 months later) that I was still there.

I didn't get to see Typhoon, the first opening act, but GroupLove and Portugal. The Man were both equally unforgettable. The crowd was just as excited to see GroupLove as they were to see Portugal. Both bands played several songs that weren't theirs by amazing artists like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Beyonce and the Who among others... I loved this because they would start off playing one of their own songs and somehow managed to turn it into something completely different which gave an awesome fluctuation of energy throughout the show. Also, how many of us are gonna get to hear "Tennage Wasteland" live ever again? Simply incredible. I will always be a fan of both bands and forever attend any show they play near my current location. KEEP IT UP GUYS! YOUR FANS <3 YOU!!!!

Overall, because this event took place in Central Park towards the end of the summer and capped off the Honda Civic Tour, I give this 4 stars. I was thrown off by Grouplove opening for Portugal as early as like 6:30pm, when I expected them to go on stage at like 8-8:30pm. Grouplove's stage presence was a lot better than when I saw them in March at Terminal 5. Only things that felt weird were: (1) Christian's hair cut made things feel off, and (2) Sean Gadd suggested via Tweets that he'd be coming back and he didn't so we missed out on some great songs that he plays bass for and brings vocals to. Great highlights include these covers: - Grouplove yet again covered "Drunk In Love" by Beyonce - Portugal covered "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd - Portugal covered "The Nightman Cometh" from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" - Grouplove and Portugal ended the show with "Hey Jude" by The Beatles Portugal was talented but a few of the songs sounded very similar in melody. There was a point where I was hearing "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis and then... the song turned into a cover of that very song! Their other songs sounded like "Fell In Love With A Girl" by The White Stripes, "Believe" by The Bravery, "Sea of Love" by Cat Power, etc. They're very talented and I hope their next album features more original sounds (even though that's tough these days - don't get me wrong, Grouplove echoes the sounds of so many different bands but they make mask it with their own sound).

First of all it was a beautiful night in New York. The weather was just right and the crowd was ready to rock and roll. Typhoon opened with a great set and it just kept getting better. Grouplove was spot on and their take on Baba o'rieiiy was outstanding. Portugal the man kept the show at a high note and the their closing with Hey Jude (featuring all the bands) was really sweet.

I had not heard of most of the bands before they were announced in the show, so I listened to them weeks leading up to the show. Though the lead singer of Brick + Mortar was rude to the audience (telling them to "Shut the fuck up" after nearly every song so he could share a bit about himself), they rocked the show. Another favorite was Sir Sly and of course Grouplove. I think everyone in the audience was shocked by Grouplove's cover of Drunk in Love.

Just to get it out of the way, my group of friends and I were there to see Portugal. The man. We had no interest in Grouplove so in all honesty, we didn't really pay attention to their set all that much. Portugal delivered an outstanding set, per usual. They played the best songs off of their latest album, plus a lot fan favorites from their past albums. The Greek was definitely a great venue for them, a good crowd but not so big where the small show vibe gets lost. I recommend that everyone check out this band at one point, they're fantastic live and put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. 4 out of 5 stars ONLY because they didn't close the night. Next time have Grouplove open.

I went to see Foster the People in Minneapolis at 7th St. Entry and Grouplove was an opening act. I would have left happy if they were the only band that performed and enjoyed them better than any that I have seen lately. They have great vocals, guitars (love their chord progressions and strumming patters), and percussion. I didn't want for them to leave and hope to see them in the future. I hope that they keep this style of music in the future.

...I would make every attempt humanly possible to see them at some point in your life. They are probably the most real people I have ever seen perform live. Not once do you feel like you're alone, like you're just an audience to performers on stage, or that you're having a dull time. Grouplove knows how to really embody their name and create a sense of love and belonging with every individual in the crowd. Not to mention they sound absolutely fantastic live. The venue itself wasn't exactly my favorite in terms of accessibility and parking, but the interior was quite nice and had a decent capacity. But I will always tell you that Grouplove is worth every single second of effort and every single penny. I will be seeing them again.

This was my first time seeing Grouplove live after years of following their music and I have no complaints. They put on an extremely positive and well put together show, their fans are wonderful people, and the energy was incredible. Going to see Grouplove melted away layers of stress and anxiety and spread positive vibes to all.

Walking in there I had no idea how amazing that night would be. The energy was beyond incredible and everyone was like a family that night. The music was amazing and the performance blew me away. Next time they're even close to me, you'll bet I'll be there.

Very organized very fun show. I liked that there was plenty of personal space. The times in between artists went pretty fast. I hope to go back to another one next year.

As if the concept of a free series of summer concerts wasn't amazing enough, 104.5 secured a stellar lineup that had the crowd rocking from start to finish. While I missed all of Brick + Mortar, and some of Wolfgang's sets, Sir Sly and Vance Joy came to party with this unforgettable Philly crowd, and Grouplove brought us all to our peak with a jamming performance. I was jumping up and down the whole time, completely unable to stand still. I loved it, and am so happy that I scored some last minute tickets. Thank you 104.5!!

Show was awesome. Sound quality incredible. Line up Amazing, and even the weather cooperated. I have to say, at Festival Pier, there's no bad "seat" in the whole place!

Your event and your organization worked with us prior to the vent to accommodate a large group in the VIP area and the service and overall experience were absolutely OUTSTANDING in every aspect. Keep up the good work!

The main reason I was disappointed by the concert was because the performance times that were provided were inaccurate. I went expecting to see Grouplove perform for over an hour and half instead they only performed for about an hour. The concert ended a half hour earlier than what was stated in the provided schedule and then the night got worse since it took over an hour to get back to my vehicle via the shuttle service. Taking into account all the expenses (tickets, parking, concession spending, etc.) and the time spent getting there and leaving, this event was not worth my time and money. I would not recommended this to a friend.

We saw Portugal. The Man and Grouplove play at The Greek-- Portugal. The Man was awesome, Grouplove was pretty good, and the venue was amazing! Seriously, if there's an artist you're even somewhat interested in, and they're playing at The Greek, see the show. It's a beautiful venue-- basically a smaller version of the Hollywood Bowl-- and there's not a bad seat in the house!

Tokyo Police Club is amazing live. All the band members are incredible. Portugal, The Man's artistic lighting is breathtaking. The smoke mixed in with the cool cloud light was mindblowingly beautiful. Their music is also amazing and they are such good artists and performers. But Grouplove's performance was life changing. I don't think I'm exaggerating. The energy in their performance is the best. Wow. They are amazing and I love them so much more now after watching them live. Watching them live is actually living life to the fullest.

Grouplove is so incredible. Their energy and love for performing makes the show and who they are. You can just tell by their smiles and energy. All their songs are great and even if you don't know all the songs it's a great show. Portugal the man was also great but songs sound very similar. Came for grouplove but Portugal the man was still amazing.
