Jacksonville Icemen

So glad hockey is here in Jax!! We have so much fun going! We suddenly have become die hard hockey fans! The energy in the arena is awesome and we love watching the fights too! Highly suggest you check out Jacksonville Icemen!!

Great family TIME...seats were awesome and very very reasonable...Best time....prices 4 beer and other things were out if control.

It was great! New to hockey but it was easy to follow and entertaining. Sound volume wasn't too loud. Will be back but not currently a season ticket holder.

Fun for the whole family. Lots of action and entertaining without paying the top dollar prices for NHL.

It would have been nice to know it was "kids day" and 7,000 kids from every school in the area would be there. They made the whole game obnoxious. The announcer had to cater to them and they wouldn't let the players fight which lets face it, is one of the best parts of the game. We couldn't get anything from the concession stand because the line constantly had a minimum of a 30 minute wait because they only had one on each level open which was one of the worst moves they could have possibly made. Between that and being surrounded by 7,000 short people hopped up on sugar wasn't fun at all. A warning would have been great.

I had a blast with my boyfriend. The atmosphere was very nice. I especially love that it was cold.

It s was a surprisingly decent level of hockey but it is very cold. Dress warmly

It's was good game. Atlanta was stronger but we have nice perspective. I'll come next time again becouse some players Icemen from Russia.)))

This was low junior hockey at its best. One game was all I needed to make the decision. Decent seats way too expensive for such weak play.

My wife and I went to see the Icemen's 2nd home game. The atmosphere was great. I really liked our seats too. We had a great view of all the action but I could also say that there really isn't a bad seat in the whole venue. The pace of the play was great and I really enjoyed my time at the game and highly recommend you come and check them out. We were on the edges of our seats all the way until the final buzzer sounded. Even though the end result was that they lost 3-2, it was still a great game.

I don't know anything about hockey -- but it was still fun to watch, and even way up in the cheap seats we had a good view of the rink. There were kids and families there, and while there were some people behind us that were yelling down at the rink, nothing around me seemed drunk or inappropriate for kids to hear. Good fun for just a cheap night out, we'll be back!

This is the second game I have attended, and I am thrilled to have a hockey team here in Jacksonville! The games are very family-friendly but not boring in any way. The music, lights, and continued action are great for keeping interest the entire night. I felt very safe with just me and my son, and the other attendees all seemed to enjoy it as much as I. We will definitely be back for more!

It was a great time to watch them. However bring earplugs if you have sensitive hearing.

Fun night. Reminded me of the Barracudas back in the day. Good hockey, affordable tickets and a solid hockey atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

I have followed NHL for many years, but I have never attended a minor league game. The quality of play was way above my expectations. It was a very entertaining game. As far as the venue goes, I was a little disappointed in the food and beer selection. Seating was good. At only 10,000 seats, it would be hard to find a bad seat.

We had great seats. The hockey was at a very professional level and the atmosphere was rocking. Good parking options. The food service was slow in the arena - for us anyway. Would visit other games and events at the arena.

Exciting event for the whole family. Can't wait to go again! The crowd was electric!

It's been a number of years since Jacksonville has had professional a professional ice hockey team. The newly formed Jacksonville Icemen were greeted by a sold out, enthusiastic crowd for their home opener. They came back from a two goal deficit late in the third period to tie the game and force overtime, but came up short. The game was fairly physical (three fights), competitive and an great experience. For around $120.00 we had four seats behind the Solar Bears goal and a pass for parking. I prefer sitting center ice, but the view was still good. In fact, there are very few bad seats in the Veterans Memorial Arena. Considering an NHL game will run you at least double while providing similar entertainment, it's a great value. My wife and two boys (who don't watch the NHL with me) thoroughly enjoyed the game and have asked me to buy tickets to the next home game. The convenient location, nice venue and the greatest team sport on earth, equals a fantastic time. Take the family, there's something for everyone to enjoy at the game!

Great game even though we lost in heartbreaking overtime. Will definitely be going again!

The WiFi and signalmin the building needs help. Other than that, it was fantastic!

Great game, great venue, great fans. Fights, OT, lots of goals, what more could a hockey fan want? Reasonable parking nearby. Easy in and out before and after game. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere was great but the music was way too loud....Please turn it down !

Game was amazing and so excited to have hockey back in Jacksonville. Fans need to learn to sit and watch though - so many people getting up for concessions in the middle of play so it was hard to watch the game around them walking up and down the steps. If it was once or twice I understand but this was a constant flow and most times the same people!! If you go to any sport, watch the game!!

It was wonderful to have hockey back in Jacksonville and the Icemen played an exciting and competitive game. Unfortunately the sound system was far too loud and obnoxious and the security staff (well one) behaved like an immature 12 year old, not the professional he should be.

All in all the hockey was great. The arena need to add more merchandise areas. The wait to buy a shirt was stupid!

The hockey game was such a great atmosphere! My older teenage kids loved it and so did we. Our seats in section 110 were perfect, we could see the entire rink. The staff was helpful. We thoroughly enjoy our time at the game.

First time to an ice hockey game, it didn t disappoint. Fun game!

What an awesome game! The Icemen skated great and really put the pressure on, with a couple of fantastic looking goals. Had an awesome time and its great entertainment! If you haven't gone yet make sure to catch one of their last home games of the season this Thursday or Friday.

I love going to watch the Icemen! I've been to several games this season and can't wait to go again. The tickets are very reasonably priced. I've sat in various seating sections and always had a good view of the ice. Veteran's Memorial is the best public venue I've ever experienced. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked. The food is good and there is a wide selection to choose from.

First time seeing the icemen. Would go more often if tickets weren t so expensive. Lots of empty seats. They need to lower the ticket price.

Venue and Icemen are awesome, however be sure to eat and drink before you get there. The prices need to.come down about $2 on everything.

This past Saturday's game against the Stingrays was one of the most exciting we have been to. We already have our tickets for next Saturday. Much cheaper to purchase tickets from the Box Office as opposed to Ticketmaster due to all the fees. However, the refs still suck!!!

I had a lot of fun and plan to come back to more games.

Besides for the sticky steps and floor the venue was great. The hockey game was fun. Having raised two hockey players it was great to be able to see a game in Florida. One would never know that the ice rink comes up and down, so other events can be held. Looks very professional. I spent 26 years in Olympic arena so saw ice being put down and taken up. It is a big job. Can t wait to go to more hockey games ,

As a NE Florida native, I am by no means a hockey expert but I noticed significant improvement in our team's play since the beginning of the season. Very exciting and entertaining (even without the fake fights). The 3-1 win was well deserved and the goal keeper was outstanding!

I was in Jacksonville for the week and decided to take in a Jacksonville Icemen game. The crowd was small but energetic. I understand they are a new team so I m hoping they can grow their fan base. They beat the visiting team and were fun to watch.

My son and I went to a game 2 weeks ago and had so much fun that I brought my whole family back this week for a game. It was a ton of fun and very entertaining!

Had a birthday celebration with my family and I won the 5050 raffle. What a surprise! The experience could not have been better.

We had a great time. This was the first time my nephew had been to a professional hockey game and he's now a big fan. Our seats were perfect with a great view of the ice and play. I'm looking forward to going to another Icemen game.

First, the Icemen match with Atlanta was terrific. My arena experience is something that hopefully will help others in ticket selection. We paid for A row (70.00 per ticket plus facility charges, total 86.00 per ticket) so that we could be next to the glass. What we noticed was that the A row was Not sold out and others who had purchased less value tickets moved down to the A row seats once the match had started. Additionally, A row seats are not part of the newer seats. They brought A row seats to place against the glass, but they are not better than folding metal chairs, and smaller too. We had folks on either side that didn t pay for those seats standing up and blocking views, spilled several drinks, and when we asked if we could get by to go to the concession stand, refused to move, so we had to step over the seats into B row and then proceed. The ushers refused to check or enforce the seat assignment. My advice if to pay for the lesser seats, which are more comfortable and then move according to which seats are unoccupied once the match starts. Hope this helps in your ticket selection.

First time in this facility and I was impressed. It is on par with other large cities and very clean. Had a great time and definitely will come again to watch more hockey!

Had a great time at the Iceman game, but there needs to be more cometary during the plays

We had a great time, glad to see Hockey again. Have already got tickets for two more home games. They need to have a little more fun activities after each period. Overall the team played hard and it's a good time.

The hockey games are so much fun. While the Icemen lose most of the time, it is still a fun time. However, the refs suck!!! They take the fun out of the game by not letting them fight. Hope the team improves to become a winning team but in the meantime, we will still support them.

Iceman looked good and actually scored in the goal in front of our seats. I was amazed at the all the families in attendance. I grew up in a NHL town and hockey was not a normal family event. So if you want to see good hockey (professional) and take the family you will really enjoy the event.
