The Show was amazing. We lined up at 10am for the 8pm show just to be sure that we would get front and center. The next people in line didn't arrive until 4pm, so we were a bit over-zealous. My only (minor) complaint is that T&E weren't on as much as I had hoped; they shared the same amount of stage time as Steve Brule. I love T&E more and their stage presence is amazing, so I was hoping the show would be them more than Steve Brule. I realize anybody else would totally disagree with this complaint, but that's just my personal preference.

Oh wow, where to begin? This was the best night of my life! The whole time I had a huge smile on my face even when I went to sleep that night. They were hilarious of course! I am really hopping they do a bedtime stories tour or another tour real soon!! I could see and hear everything just fine in the seats that I was in. I was seated in lodge seating. Me being the fan that I am, I really wish I was in the orchestra seating, because the actors got really involved with those who were. That's another thing that I really liked that they did.I wished I could have seen more of the original Tim & Eric stars but other than that it was the best night ever! It was fun. This was well worth it! if you are a Tim & Eric fan....GO SEE THEM LIVE!!

Bet a lot of people use that title. This is a funny forum for this, but I can't contain myself -- unreal. Wish they had performed two nights so I could have invited everyone I know. T + E are total cheerleaders. I feel like they're my friends. Thanks guys. And thanks to the refreshingly psyched and nerdy crowd. Can't wait for next show.
It was... a bit weird. I think you have to be a big fan of the show to appreciate it

I have been a pretty die hard Tim and Eric fand from season 1. And I had a great time at last years show. Even and especially through the 10 minute Diarrhea number. This year, however, I felt like the show took its time getting started and then I felt like I was at a low talent concert rather than a comedy show. The mix of live performances (Jim and Derrick, terminix blues brothers) and the videos (zak galifinakis, pasta bear, cinco food tube) were hilarious, disturbing, and what I came for. The second act of all Pusswhip Bang Gang, while a great T&E title, was not funny nor was it good music! I felt like it was a surreptitous ''im in a band'' fantasy that I was being forced to bear witness to. While I very much enjoy the songs as accompaniments to the comedy in the show, as just plain music, 'SPORTS' isn't really great entertainment. So that to me was enough to ruin the show - an entirely humorless, unskilled 2nd half. I will still watch the show but I don't need to see them live again. Sigh.

I went to the Tim and Eric show 2 years ago and i have to say i think that it was a better show back then. half of the this years show was their band playing songs from their album that i wasn't interested in. Had i known that half of the show would be music i wouldn't have gone as me and the people i went with were interested in the sketches. the other problem was whoever controls the cameras for the displays of the stage needs to learn how to control a camera, as it was off center or the action 90% of the time.

Unfortunately, The brilliance of the Tim & Eric Awesome show on television...does not translate well to a LIVE stage performance. The videos played in between skits were the best part of the show...which does not bode well for "Live". Words cannot even express how unfunny and painful it was to sit through the last 30 minutes of their "Pusswhip" jam band session.....I'd take my money back if I could....

Love T&E, but alot of what makes awesome show funny is the closeups and clever edits. Alot of that is hard to translate into a live show. I had a great time at the show, but I guess it was a little disappointing, as alot of the show was pre-taped bits, and another large portion was a live performance by Pusswhip Bang Gang.

I adore these guys to the core, so it wasn't hard for me to feel appreciative. But objectively, I still thought it was a good show. They acted out some old personas and test-ran some new ones. Pusswhip Bangang kinda dragged on a little long, but it was impressive how they could produce a sustained illusion that a bad rock 'n roll band was concertizing. In my op, these are some of the most progressive comedians in the biz. Great jobs.

When I found out T&E were doing a live show to conclude their cinco seasons on Adult Swim I knew I had to go. I was so happy to find out that tickets were only 26 bucks and that there were two showings at 8PM and 11PM (awesome idea). I was definitely surprised the show would be at the former Nokia Theater in Times Square. It was great that you could either sit in your seats or stand up at the stage. There was plenty of room, the crowd wasn't smushed up against each other, and the mood was overall ecstatic and people were happy to be there. Tim and Eric did different characters, performed some audience favorites and added video segments. The show was close to 2 hours, including Neil Hamburger's stand-up, so it was great to see them for so long.

Tim and Eric put on a great show, a little bit more music than we had anticipated but all in all it was a total beach blast. Was a little disappointed that some of the other regulars couldn't make it, like David Liebe Hart but I'm sure there's reasons. In the end the show was amazing, was my first and hopefully not my last, unless this will be the last year they perform since Awesome Show is over. Great Job!

The show started with a mumbling and indecipherable sad sack by the name of Doug. Doug played a barf soundtrack interspersed with some other delights to which the very high audience members responded with extreme laughter while the rest of us stared on dumbfoundedly. When you could understand what he was saying it just wasn't funny. Embarrassingly, uncomfortably, unfunny. Next Tim and Eric took the stage. They played this "fun" trick where they pretended the show was over after just a few minutes of them standing around stupidly on the stage. This wasn't a total bust, but after Doug, anything looked good by comparison. The Tim and Eric segment proceeded with clips from their upcoming television series "Bedtime Stories" which wasn't bad. In general their material was ok - some parts were better than others. Since the length of the show was almost three hours, the crappier parts seemed well suited to being cut out. When Dr. Steve Brule took the stage the audience was finally engaged - people gave him a standing ovation before he even started - likely because The Dr. is what they came for, and likely because they were glad the other crap was finally over. His set was funny. It made up handedly for the other trouncing about and, if you are going to this show to see him, still go! - just be aware it'll take some time to get to the good stuff. The ending saw the return of Tim and Eric as their companion to Steve Brule's Character: Jan and Wayne Skylar. Easily these were their best characters, however the writing and pacing of the last bit seemed off, with a rushed underdeveloped ending (replete with Broadway style revelation to draw the curtains) that wasn't congruent with the bloated length of the rest of the show. Ultimately if you are a fan of Steve Brule it is a must go. It just seems like a more careful production and a large amount of editing would have done wonders for the experience as a whole, 3/5 stars, would still recommend.

well we really only went to see Dr. Steve Brule and I must say he was great and did not disappoint. The show is worth going to just see him. Tim and Eric to me were a bit of a disappointment. I know that they are extremely talented but in the end every skit just ended with bad sex references. I know they were mainly playing towards the younger college age crowd but really the crowd was mostly older and not all college kids as the skits were geared to in my opinion. Most of the audience was into them but I personally just felt like they went for the cheap laughs when they have so much more to give. But like I said, we went for Dr. Steve Brule and he made the show worth it. I would love to see a show that's just all Dr. Steve Brule. 5 Stars all the way for Dr. Steve Brule!!!!!!

I got my boyfriend & i tickets because he was on a heavy Brule kick, but to be honest I was way happy to do so as a huge Tom goes to the Mayor fan myself. The show they put on was very exciting, & since it was Tim & Eric you were wondering "what are they they going to do next??" every step of the way. & since it's Tim & Eric they did not disappoint! I wish i would've been able to get better seats. It was sometimes hard to hear & we were too far for any of interaction with the audience they did. (I would've loved to see my boyfriend be part of the show!) but overall : recommend. I got to see my guy laugh till he cried!

The show is completely off the wall, so I had no idea what to expect from a live experience. But I'm a fan and a visit from Dr. Steve Brule convinced me this was a must-see. The opener was DJ DougPound. 25 minute set of DJ-style rap sampling comedy. Really funny. Guy cracked me up big time, but I have no idea where he might have come from. Not even much on YouTube. Any event, well done DJ DP. Tim & Eric started the show riffing on how they had no show. A little improv, working the crowd a little. Nothing really followed the tv show outside of some obscure references. Mostly really funny original sketch and what appeared to be improv between the two. After checking some videos, I believe they change the act up quite a bit. Maybe even from town to town. All of it disgusting, offensive, and roaringly funny. In a brief silence, Dr. Brule (John C. Reilly) made his appearance. He told his backstory, showed some video. Then began a glorious hour of completely improved audience participation bits. It worked seamlessly with the character. Brilliant even. As he wound down one of the best comedic experiences of my life, Jan and Wayne Skylar (Tim & Eric), talkshow hosts appeared with Brule as their guest. Suddenly the three were tied up together in hilarity bliss. I will not spoil what is probably the common ending to all these shows, but the finale is a bonanza of comedic talent, belly laughs, and nudity. Fantastic night, amazing show. Go see this!!

The show was really fun and engaging. I felt as though i was a part of the experience. It was a great time and the venue was better than i thought it would be.
I do not watch Tim and Eric. In fact, while I am familiar with what they do, I have never seen any of their shows. Similarly, I am familiar with the Dr. Steve Brule character, but never seen any shows featuring him. Lastly, I rarely attend events where I am not familiar Having said that, I enjoyed the show quite a bit. I would say if you are a fan of wacky sketch comedy like TKITH, The State, Stella, UCB, and so on, you will certainly enjoy this. The only reason I knocked off a star is because for a Tim and Eric show, there was hardly any Tim or Eric. They did an opening thing, then only two other sketches. I felt that was weird, but they seemed to understand that Dr. Steve Brule is a big draw, so he was on stage more than they were. I thought the Brule parts were masterful, but I would have liked the show to be a little more balanced between the two acts. Also DJ Dougpound who opened for them was great.
These guys put in a show like you wouldn't believe. Never breaking character, never wavering in their commitment to making you laugh. Worth every cent.
I'll start off by saying there were waay more people there than I thought there would be. We got there about 10 min before the event and ended up in a winding line with about ~200-300 people in front of us. I'd recommend getting to their shows at least an hour or two in advance to have the opportunity to be closer to the stage and possibly be involved in the production. As for the show itself, it was exactly what I was expecting from Tim and Eric, crazy unpredictable humor. They performed a lot of their popular characters in new sketches and John C. Reilly stole the show with his performance of Dr. Steve Brule. Would definitely go again if they tour near me in the future.
To state it briefly, it's perfect shows like these that enrich our lives with laughter and great memories. The Variety Playhouse is such an incredible venue. Great job everyone and thanks for an amazing show!
As always Tim and Eric bring the laughter. Throw in Steve Brule and you have a masterpiece. Don't regret missing this show! Funniest show I've seen this far! Highly recommended.
Tim & Eric is not everyone's cup of tea. Be sure to review some of their videos before going, the content will be explicit! Having said that, if you are a fan you will not be disappointed!! They are true showmen!
I had no idea what to expect from this show, but it was great. The DJ starting the show was hilarious and the intro video for T&E really set the tone for the "fully improvised experience" - which it wasn't. T&E were hilarious and Steve Brule (John C Reilly) was genius. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much over the span of two hours.

Tim and Eric, in my opinion, are really not that funny. I am not really into their style of humor, and could have done without them entirely. That being said, Brule completely delivered and it is worth it to go just for him although he only encompasses about half of the show. If Brule was not a part of it, it would not be worth going, unless they lowered the ticket prices to between $5 and $10.

I didn't know what to expect since I had previously seen Tim & Eric perform at Festival Supreme, and was somewhat disappointed that it was just them performing with a band. However this show is a full on production with skits, comedy, an opening act, and best of all: Dr. Steve Brule! I've never laughed so hard for 2.5 hours as I did at this show. There's all kinds of funny skits that are full of references to the show, and a lot of crowd interaction. You may even end up on the stage! I would gladly pay money to see it again.
