What a Great show, venue was very Nice & small. Good sound, couple of technical issues with sound but seemed to get resolved quickly. Tim Very hits the skins so hard with great precision, Fantastic! Andy Hull, as always with his unique & amazing vocals, awesome lead guitarist Robert McDowell, & wow, bassist Andy Prince was killing it. Missed one song could have snuck in The Mistake, but it was a great set list, could have stayed another hour easy. Stood 7 rows about from stage in GA. This was the 3rd time we saw them, me and my family love this band. Went to this show with my 22yr old daughter & I am 54. My whole family has seen them, Philadelphia, NYC, & now Delaware. Can t wait till next show. .

The first opener Foxing was slow and repetitious. Nothing interesting about them and definitely not a good band to see live unless you plan on falling asleep. The second opener was a pop rock group named Tigers Jaw. They brought more energy than the first band did but their songs were all four power chord strummers that sounded the same. Manchester was sweet relief. They came on and everyone sang along with every song. They played with passion, the set list was perfect, great lighting and excellent sound mix. It would be so much better to see these guys touring with better bands.

I discovered Manchester Orchestra through a solo project done by the lead singer. I thought his voice was unique so I really got into his side project, Right Away, Great Captain. They opened for Brand New a few months ago and I thought the singers voice sounded familiar so after a bit of web searching I discovered it was the same guy. They are going on tour with Thrice in a few weeks, and being that Thrice is my all time favorite band, I will definitely be going to as many of those shows as possible. Besides all of this, they put on a great show, full of energy, and sound like the cd, which I greatly appreciate.

The first act, O Brother, was ok. They played a short set, but definitely seemed to be playing as if they were headlining. Then Biffy Clyro played, and they blew me away. I had heard them before, but their live music was outrageous. Next, as most of you know, the Features played and were awesome as well. Manchester Orchestra was AMAZING live! They sounded much better than any recording i have heard from them. And, Andy is one funny bastard.

O brother and Chris (acoustic guy) were absolutely terrible openers. If you're going to see this line up just miss the first two. They had bad sound and terrible moodings for the next acts. The Features put on a great show and sounded great. Manchester Orchestra did an amazing job. The Brand New drummer didn't miss a beat and Andy Hull sounded amazing.

This was one of those events where I can honestly say every band was amazing and it was well worth the cost of admission. I'd seen Manchester before, but the smaller and more intimate setting Revolution allows for really favors the band. Their music is raw and emotional and fun and moving. The show was one of the best I've seen recently.

Damn, it felt good to be at a show again! Felt good for the local boys to be home, as they proclaimed many times. I should have boned up on the music a little because I caught myself not remembering lyrics for opening tunes "Shake it Out" and "Pensacola". Gotta turn that Pandora station back on. Plus, I hadn't heard anything off the latest set, Cope, except for their performance of the song by the same name on Letterman. But, thank God, it was LOUD. I haven't had my ears tuned like that since Halloween. Seven months without a show... for shame. They came back for several encores, however, during the first break, a strange thing happened. The Tomahawk Chop and chant started up. When the group returned, frontman, and expectant father, Andy Hull told us, "Man, I wish we liked baseball." That statement made the T-shirt I bought exceptionally ironic.

Last year I saw MO for the 1st time, they had not released new music in 4 years and I was blown away to see how passionate their fans still were. They made a fan of me that night and almost a year later at the same House of Blues venue, they showed me once more this is not a band you should ignore. Good and great rock bands are far and few between, I think MO could well fill that void. They ROCK. They have a new record out and seem to be having ball playing their new tunes. There is going to be a day when I say i remember when I saw them at The House of Blues because they will be playing in much larger venues.

What a great show in a perfect setting. The National does such an amazing job of providing the optimal space for a rock show. Into that space stepped what has to be one of the most refreshing new talents in song writing and performance that I have heard in many years. I saw Manchester Orchestra open for another band here in Richmond in support of their Everything to Nothing album. I bought their album the day of that show and listened to it all day, but I was floored by the power and emotion in their live show. Wednesday's show did not disappoint, either. I have to admit that I have recently been out of the music loop lately. Basically I didn't even know that M.O. had come out with a new album in May, until about an hour before the show. So I basically went into the show once again not knowing what to expect. It was beyond my expectations though. I enjoyed the new songs and love where the band is taking their sound. Most impressive to me were the new looks of the older songs. Many have been touched up or shifted in ways that actually give a fresh experience to the music. This is highly unusual for a band with such young talent. It show a confidence and maturity that one would not normally expect from today's usual blah, blah, blah. Whatever you do, go and see M.O. at every chance you get. I will!

I'm a fan of MO. So regardless, my opinion is bias. However, I had a friend in town from Australia whose ears fall toward dance/house music like Kaskade. While she's very open minded, she was blown away by Manchesters performance. Their show was great, but furthermore, their encore was unforgettable. Came back out, played four more songs, and ended with The River that led to a cover by Willie Nelson that seriously stunned the audience. Bottom line - if you are passionate about music... you will understand why they are a great band.

Awesome show. O'Brother was a great choice for opening up the show. Cage the Elephant was INCREDIBLE, Matt Shultz is a fantastic frontman with such good stage presence. He kept everything exciting and they played a great set. Manchester Orchestra was amazing as well, I probably would have swapped them with Cage though, just because they were more chill and though they finished the night off well, it was a little odd to go from such high energy to something that was down a couple notches.

This was my third time seeing Manchester. Normally I'm a one and done concertgoer but this band has always been different because of the energy their show would generate. It was lacking at this one. The 'routine' 90 minute show featured no solos, no banter, no extending of any songs. While I really enjoy all their music, including Black Mile' there was no difference between the live show and listening to their music recorded. That saddened me Manchester. You can do so much better.

Venue was awesome. The concert was great. Will definitely see them again.
Small venue allowed for dedicated fans to come and see a truly remarkable band play an unforgettable set. I actually cried at one point cause I could feel the pain behind some of the songs. If you get a chance go see them on this tour at a small venue, it is honestly the best show I have ever been to, and I've been to many shows by many different artists.
Every time Manchester Orchestra has a show I do my best to attend. The Stuffing event they put on every year is fantastic. Not everyone has plans for Thanksgiving or some people want to escape their relatives for the evening and this show is a blessing. Not only do I get to watch Manchester play another amazing show-I get to watch other bands play and learn about bands that I've never heard of but are just as great.
They blew the PA system just a few songs in. After about 20 minutes the sound crew got it working again. The rest of the show was amazing. Sold out and killed it!
Great show and great lineup, unfortunately there was too much drug use and smoke in the crowd. Got to be unbearable and had to leave after the 5th band. Disappointed because I really wanted to see the headliner.
Went to Summerfest for my boyfriends birthday, and it did not dissapoint! We both had a great time! We are starting a new tradition by going every year! So much fun!
While the first couple bands were forgettable, the headlining acts were incredible. I was blown away by how good Ok Go was live, I really did not expect them to be that good. And as expected, "Here It Goes Again" pumped up the previously distant and unexcited crowd. Manchester Orchestra was incredible as well. The food trucks present were very good, but the lines were so long that you had the potential to miss entire sets while waiting in line. The A&R Music Bar served as a great escape from the heat, and with Late Night Slice located inside, it was a far better option for food than the trucks. Overall, I think that Summerfest was a very well put together and enjoyable event, and I can't wait to go back next year!

Kevin Devine & the Goddamn Band opened. They sounded pretty good, but I'm not one for stage hopping. He did get some pretty good height on him though. Balance and Composure followed, and again, they sounded pretty good, but I couldn't really understand them. The vocals were way to distorted, and that may have been partially because I was right against the front gate! :P Finally, Manchester Orchestra came out, opened to Shake It Out, and that was the most energetic the crowd had been all night! They all rocked the show harder than they had 3 years ago. I don't even think 3 years ago they played anything off of Simple Math, which came out just a few days before the concert. This year, there was a nice mix up, from "I'm Like A Virgin..." to "Cope." And if you have ever listened to Pensacola on Simple Math, hearing it live and hearing the crowd mix up with Andy leading... WOW. It was such a great night! Keep up the great work, guys with Manchester!

What a great show! Beautiful melodies over just the right amount of KICK - ASS! Each member as talented as the other, rocked the stage with their energy and tone! Vocals were spot on! The tunes are all fantastic and each recited back to the band throughout!! Andy Hall is OOBER talented. An honor to watch this incredible show!

Overall, the show was amazing! The only recommendation I would make is that Balance & Composure should've opened, then Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra. It seems that B&C are maybe still working on their stage presence.

Manchester Orchestra was absolutely amazing. The two opening bands were also really great. Overall a lot of fun, the energy in the room was amazing. All great bands live, can't wait to see them again!

Maybe my definition of "acoustic" isn't right, but I wasn't expecting electric guitars. that being said, the performances were good. Kevin Devine and Justin Townes Earle were amazing. Each playing solo, with an acoustic guitar, showcasing their vocals and prowess with fingerpicking. Manchester Orchestra was good, but I would have liked to hear more songs off of Simple Math. The lead singer frequently complained about not being able to "rock out" because of the "acoustic" setting. If you don't like playing an acoustic show (again... not sure how this was an acoustic show) then don't plan one.

Very disappointed. This was billed as an "unplugged" or "acoustic" show and was not. Man Orch played plugged in but slowed down the tempo to a continuous drone that made one song almost indistinguishable from another. Would have been great if they had actually played acoustic instruments and given us a real stripped down version of their songs.

More rocking than I expected. Was there mainly for the Front Bottoms, Manchester sounded great though.

This was a great show. Manchester is just as good live as on record. This was my first time at Newport and the atmosphere there was awesome. There were no bad views in the venue and the crowd was really great.

It usually requires some tragic event to unite a largely varied group of people into a fluid singularity. Well, I would hardly call Manchester Orchestra tragic. To be able to take a room and visibly draw out every person's deepest emotions is a feat in itself, but to do it solely through the power of music is another thing entirely. Manchester gets what's it's all about and doesn't stray from that path. They are honest, raw, and still unbelievably original in their shows (even more than the recordings, I would say). This is not a band you should miss.

Manchester Orchestra was by far the best show I've ever attended. If you get the chance, I strongly suggest that you see them play. They had the best and nicest fans I've ever been around at a show. Their performance was amazing and borderline a religious experience. They really know how to put on a show and the whole crowd was into it.

Manchester Orchestra was unbelievable. Their first show in NYC too, apparently. Opening acts were fantastic. Front Bottoms were so much fun, the crowd had so much energy. Then Manchester Orchestra came out to the Full House theme song and then continued to play an amazing set. Andy Hull is an incredible front man, every song is played as perfectly as it's played on the original records. Played 3 encore songs. Best night ever.

Incredible band to see live, Andy's voice sounds just like the record he's a great singer. So heavy, so brutal.

Fourth time seeing them live. They were fantastic as always. I still have the elephant fetus shirt I bought when I first saw them open for Say Anything way back in the day. :]
