I could hardly wait to have fun and reconnect with my inner child and get away from the madness of office visits and visitors. I don't have any pets so I don't know if I should beware of Pet Owners. I can hardly wait to see them though and perhaps even milk a real live living Cow! OMG Marin County and their bronzed shiny chains. Dear God let there be nice red candy apples and real root beer floats and ofcourse delicious popcorn and fresh Cotton Candy. And hopefully a better decent smoking area. I really hope to enjoy this years fireworks. Have fun everybody I know my wallet wont instead I will keep in mind that atleast I will try not to miss out. Goodbye.

We are avid county fair goers but this was our first visit to the Marin County Fair. We loved it. It was very family friendly with excellent security and lots of fun things to see. We mainly went to see the ageless Toots and the Maytals. They put on a great show for one of the most enthusiastic audiences in memory. Lots of fun!

I have 2 little ones (age 2 and 5) and we love the animals, the arts and crafts and, of course, the carnival and food! We go in the morning at 11, then go home at about 2 (about 3 miles away) for a bath and nap time, then we come back around 6 and stay through the fireworks. It takes us about 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot after the fireworks. We just plan on it and don't stress about it. I've been following this routine for 3 years, and it works great for us. The only drawback is the heat, but we miss a lot of it by leaving mid-day. They have a baby station at the West end of the fair, near the fine arts pavilion that is just fantastic, a real asset to the fair for families with little ones. A quiet, calm place to nurse and/or change a baby.

I brought ticket in advance from ticketmaster and it save my time to go through the gate. I love this Fair. My 14 years boy enjoys the rides, Chinese performance and funnel cake. I like the art, the corn and rides. It is really suitable for whole family to enjoys a day inside a place. I really recommend other people to enjoy a happy family day inside.

That was the first fair I've ever gone to, and I have to say, you will absolutely not be disappointed. I really went to this fair because I heard about some acrobats, and so I decided to take a look. The show was breath-taking. It was completely worth the long car drive and wait outside under the scorching hot sun. They were amazing! The Chinese acrobats was definitely a great show, and I will come back next year to watch it, if it will still be there. The booths were nicely organized and was of a great variety. Although I did not buy anything due to my own preferences, it was an amazing sight to see almost everything put out there. Food and cold drinks were available around every corner, and it was reassuring to see sheriffs walking around patrolling. With this, I conclude my review.... Go!

Our family had a great time at the Marin County Fair! It was a our first time attending, and we will definitely return next year. The kids really enjoyed the free carnival rides and animal exhibits. The food was also reasonably priced compared to other County Fairs. We also enjoyed the Pointer Sisters concert and the fireworks. The eight hours we were there flew by, and was so much fun.

Given the price of about $15 it's hard to find fault with the Fair. But that's part of the problem - too many people for not enough capacity. The Chinese acrobats performed 3 times a day in the 870 seat Marin Veterans theatre, but there must have been 10,000 people there that day (Sunday 7/3) so only a relatively few got to see them. However, you'd wait in line for a half hour and still wouldn't get in. Surely they could have told people in line past a certain point that they were wasting their time standing in the 95 degree heat, but they didn't so thousands of wasted hours right there. The pig races were cute but you couldn't see them run for more than a couple of seconds each race (there were 4-5 races). Plenty of food. A good jazz band, not publicized, so a nice surprise. The bridge stuff was interesting. We were going to see the Pointer Sisters but wimped out after several hours in the heat. People were "reserving" seats three hours ahead by putting sweaters over chairs even though the rules (not well displayed) said you could not do that. No doubt many arguments would ensue later. So management of the crowd rules could have been better.

We searched the web for a place to go on the 4th. We found the Marin County Fair. We were attracted by the Chinese Acrobats and the Temptations. These two were our reasons for going. For 15.00 a person, we thought it was well worth it. We saw the acrobats twice, both times the audatorium was full. On a side note, I am a US Marine Veteran. It was nice to see the audatorium dedicated to all the veterans past and present. That says a lot about Marin County !

Marin County Fair was lively and fun as always! We appreciated the chance to talk in person with Comcast and Marin Clean Energy. We loved the energetic professional yet personable performances. The exhibits were top notch. Somehow two barnyard events didn't happen when the schedule said. But it's great to see the animals and all the green efforts.

Our family looks forward to the announcement of the music line up to the MCF so we can pick our annual pilgrimage out of the fog into the warm air of Marin. This year was a no-brainer. Toots & the Maytalls called to everyone but my husband who loves to wander the fair on his own. He surprised us all with his first purchase of a framed photograph by a local artist. The image called to him and he could not resist it. We have been going since the kids were little and it remains a family favorite. Who can by pass the pig races, funnel cakes and fireworks? Avoid riding the Scrambler after eating!

As usual the band put on a great performance. An incredible bargain for only fair admission and parking. They performed all their old hits and they sounded like they did 35-40 years ago. Their new material is better though. Worth going a long way to see these 'old' guys.

What a great surprise. The music, the rides, the art exhibits, the food, the breeze off the water in very hot weather, the fireworks...truly best fourth venue one could ever go to. I'm always looking for just the right thing to do on july 4th and now i've found it. With the exception of the thousands of others who have now found the secret place to go, I loved it and was able to go inside to the art exhibits if i got too hot or just wanted to silence the noise. A great day from start to finish. Truly the best fireworks I've seen ever...and i've seen alot. So enjoyed my day with friends.

Great art works from all ages of the Marin Community, as well as a fabulous Golden Gate Bridge exhibit, complete with the original stainless steel test model of the tower, to make sure it would all work!! It did, and still does work. Meet me there for the next commemorative exhibit in 2036!!....the 100 th anniversary!!
