Played the whole Beer Comercials EP and even gave us an encore. Such a sweet band, and I had the pleasure of meeting the band after the show.

INVSN put on an amazing show. Talked to the vocalist and the other band members after the show for a bit. Minus the Bear played all the right songs to make my genitals tingle. Cory handed us his pick and shook my hand. :D

This show was really worth going to, especially considering the price, this show was a bargain. Minus the Bear and As Tall as Lions really put on an insane show. Definitely one of the best shows I've been to.

Minus the Bear is a great band. They have groovy tunes and insightful lyrics. And they seem to be pretty popular as this was the first show of theirs I was able to get tickets to -- read: they sell out a lot. But despite this popularity, and for whatever reason, I saw them in a bar last night. A bar is not a "real" venue for a concert, and the Crazy Donkey was packed to the hilt, making my experience extremely uncomfortable. Now, I'm also very into metal, and I've been to shows with mosh pits and crazy fans, so I'm used to being smushed against people, but Minus the Bear isn't that kind of band. I was expecting some breathing room, at least; maybe not to get consistently elbowed in the chest by the couple in front of me. It's good that you're enjoying the show, I'm happy for you, really... but for the sake of my boobs, could you move a little less? Thanks. Moreover, I didn't even get my ticket as a souvenir as "Will Call" was a girl with a printed-out list of people who had bought tickets. No booth, no computer, no credit card machine; just a clipboard. Minus the Bear themselves performed well, but if this is a trend of theirs, to ignore the size of their following and play in too-small joints with only one bathroom, then I'll just have to enjoy their music from the privacy and comfort of my headphones.

The show was sold out. My boyfriend and I were among maybe 3 couples over 40 in this crowd. My 20 year old son recommended MTB to me over 2 years ago and I have been a hardcore fan ever since. I have been to many concerts in my life but I have not enjoyed one as much as this one. The only thing I didn't like is the venue was way to small!

Minus the Bear are incredible musicians and their live shows are no exception. The Glass House in Pomona is a smaller and more intimate venue and i got to see them up close. Great show, good sound, and lots of bars and stuff to do in the immediate area. I also brought a painting I made with me and the band signed it after the show !

They played really well. The new songs sound fantastic and interesting. The 'old' songs sounded just as good as ever. Singer's voice started cracking second song in but it was more endearing than annoying. I am a big fan and this show has gotten me very excited for the next level of Minus the Bear.

Let me start off by saying that the band was great. Apart from the bass player looking deathly ill, the band performed well and they were very entertaining. Much more than I expected given what I've heard about the band's live performance. What was concerning, however, was the length of time the band performed. I didn't go to see the opening acts, rather I paid a lofty $25 to see Minus the Bear, so when they perform for only an hour and 15 minutes I can't help but feel that I didn't get what I paid for.

Minus the Bear has a monopoly on talent. I had come from a string of dance pop concerts and after the 2 opening bands I wasn't sure if I was in the mood for some moody rock, but as soon as they started playing I knew the answer was yes. Now a days it's so easy to hide behind autotune and techno-y beats it's nice to listen to a band with genuine skill. They love their fans and their fans love them.

Murder by Death was the best part of the show. They couldn't have played with more passion or skill. Minus the Bear's set list blended together in the middle of the show and was a little forgettable. Minus the Bear was still good overall.

I've waited so many years to see this band live, and they were touring my favorite album, the album that served as somewhat of a soundtrack to my life for the past ten years. 17yo me and 27yo me both lost their chill. The band was amazing, set list was perfect, everything was amazing. Only thing is they turned the a/c on way too late so I spent the first two hours sweating my eyelids off, among other things. But overall it was perfect.

This was my 6th or 7th time seeing Minus The Bear and it seems like their sets get better every time. This tour they played their EP 'They Make Beer Commercials Like This' all the way through (only 6 songs), and then they spread about 1 song off of each of their other projects (old and new)

I'm a big fan of Minus the Bear and I've seen them before, they always put on a great show. This night, however, not so much. Their obscure song selections and complete lack of energy was confusing. It was almost as if they were angry to be there. Very disappointed.

It's very rare that a band such as minus the bear is able to come ALL the way down to ft lauderdale, let alone have a huge crowd at the show. The scene down here is different, the Spanish community takes over Miami. When I saw the amount of people in the crowd waiting for minus the bear I was happy. The venue is fairly small especially for a band that's been around long enough such as they but it was filled with young teens to adults in their 30's. Overall the show was amazing. They played a perfect mix of old and new songs, all of the musicians were having fun, with the crowd and each other. It really showed how much they love playing and that it's not "just another show"

Minus the Bear never ceases to amaze me every time I see them. This time around, they played a bunch of awesome songs, however they cut out two: White Mystery and This Ain't A Surfin' Movie. Not sure what the reasoning behind this was, but I guess kerfew. Jake had a few issues with his guitar not working during Burying Luck, but that didn't stop them from rocking out like usual. They also seemed to really enjoy the crowd, as Cory and Jake kept looking around and mouthing thanks all night.

1st time hearing both of these groups. Snowbird was energetic and the vocalist tugged directly on my heart strings. It looked like the drummer was doing something with a foot pad as well as drumming. The guitarist rocked. For a young band they have incredible maturity and sophistication. Can't wake to listen to them in a more reflective environment. The Swede's were great. I'm partial to my rock being political and they mixed in enough to deliver great messages with fantastic ear splitting power cords. The front man owned the stage adn captivated us in the audience for there entire set. Just wished there was more time for both groups.

Third time seeing Minus the Bear in SoCal. The first two times were at The Troubadour and the Glass House. These guys are absolutely fantastic live. Seeing them at the Fonda was depressing. This band is capable of pulling off one of the best shows that I've had the pleasure of seeing and the sound for them that night was really quite terrible. Bass and drums were too loud. Guitars were not loud enough and unbalanced. Vocals were feeding back and their backing track (which they use for added layers/samples/etc for songs like "Into the Mirror") was too quiet. This is supposed to be a professional entertainment venue and it sounded like it was mixed by a 17 year old DJ.

Minus the Bear started at nine thirty, even though doors opened at seven. They played for a little over an hour and the set list was very mellow which was not appealing in the hectic environment that the Boulevard pool provides. I was more disappointed with the Cosmopolitian and the audience members than the actual band. I will not be seeing any other performance at the Cosmopolitian.

Minus the Bear never disappoints. I've been seeing them for almost a decade now and they continue to just get better and better. They don't just play their 'new' songs --they play all the obscure tracks from their EPs and early albums such as 'Highly Refined Pirates.' Get as close as you can to stage--you do not want to be sitting for a MTB show.

I had never heard of Now, Now, but they sounded great! I actually ended up buying their CD after the show. Circa Survive was very energetic, and though they're far from my favorite group they put on a pretty good show as well. Minus the Bear was stellar. They sounded even better live than they do on their studio albums, and I expected the opposite. Dave created all of the special effects during the show and used his feet and hands to control the clips on his DL-4. They had a great stage presence, and as we were leaving we ran into them around back of the music hall, said a few words and they thanked us. Easily one of my top three favorite concerts I've ever been to, awesome, awesome band.

This was my 5th year in a row seeing Minus the Bear @ The Glass House in Pomona CA. All 5 shows in November coincidentally enough (except for 1 back in march of 2009 which was supposed to have been held @The Glass House, but was cancelled and rescheduled for 2 days later @The Fox Theatre right across the street from The Glass House). This was by far the best of those 5 shows. Everything from the sound, the lights, the ambiance, & the setlist was perfect. Their selection of songs played was incredible. With a new album recently being released (Infinity Overhead), you would think that the majority of the show would consist of songs from that album. That was not the case. Although a handful of songs from that album were played, their setlist was an hour and a half long. So they played songs from every one of their albums it seemed. It was absolutely fantastic, and the people who came along with me were a perfect addition to an already stellar show. The bar has been raised from here on out. I will now judge all of their future shows against this one. And its going to be hard for them to top, but if any band can do it, they can. To describe the show in the least amount of words possible ;Face Melting, Baby Making Music EPICNESS!

I'm from the Philippines and I just got here in the US last June. I didn't thought I would be watching Minus the Bear that soon so it was an awesome feeling. I'm still ecstatic about it. They did an hour and a half set, I think. Played all my favorites except for Ice Monster which I was waiting for! So it kinda felt short to me, but then I realized Minus the Bear is a band that you would love to watch over and over again and never get sick of it. I love this band so much and I'd definitely watch them again if they come here in ATL! There was a Meet & Greet after the show but it was only for those who bought a poster, which sucked coz I wish they allowed anyone to come in line and greet the band. Also, I hope Jake was as friendly as Cory.

Minus the Bear was great, and their opening act, Caspian, was AWESOME. Super cool venue too. Passed it a few times because it's so small (literally in a strip mall), but it was great!

This show was unbelievable. The energy from Caspian set the mood. Then Cursive comes out and rocks it. Followed by the undisputed Minus the Bear! The crowd was in an uproar but also respectful of those around them who came to enjoy the music. Much love to MTB for this tour. It was well worth the 4+ hour road trip.

Cursive seriously rocked this place. I didn't care for the venue too much, but it didn't matter. My friends and I drove over 4 hours to see both bands, and cursive is our favorite. We stuck around to see MTB and they put on a good show. The crowd was pretty nice and polite for people trying to take photos, but they didn't move much..

Good band, but they were pressed to get to their next gig and ploughed through a one-hour set with little acknowledgement for the people who came to see them. Excellent musicianship. However, I own most of their CD's and a lot of the songs sounded new, or were played in a different way. Would love to see them when they have the next night off and can concentrate on the moment at hand.

Great band and one of my favorites - this was my second time seeing them, and they did not disappoint. They sounded tight and were really into it until the encore. Things got rowdy in the crowd at that point with a lot of moshing and crowd surfing, and you could tell that they didn't quite approve (not that I blame them - it honestly was out of hand).

As usual Minus the Bear was unforgettable. The venue, Stage ae, was the perfect place to have them come. They were so melodic as expected and just spot on all around. Definitely a crowd pleaser, and should be on your must see list for sure!

Great live show. Surprisingly recreated similar effects and synths from the albums live. Solid musicians and compositions.

From the first song to the last the place was rockin!!!! They did a track from their new CD that was so damn good. It seemed like the show was short from a time standpoint. I think they did a 10 song set with 2 encore songs. Absinate Party the last!!!! Only three songs from OMNI; into the mirror, hold me down and my time. ALL AWESOME man!!! I'm a 54 year old father that was turned on to MTB by one of my sons. This group is amazing with their song writing, lyrics, and music as a whole. Very cutting edge. I can't wait to see them again, and again and again!!!

First of all it was fabulous that as a 21+ group attending we were able to sit in the bar and get drinks and priority entry as opposed to standing outside in the freezing cold line that was wrapped around the building. I did not know who the Velveteens? were--- and they were pretty amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed their performance. Minus the Bear was phenomenal! I started listening to them in high school (2003-2007), I met very few people that knew who they were around the same time that I first got into them and it gave us a connection on a whole new level. There is something about their music that really bonds you when you get the chance to enjoy it with someone. Planet of Ice is my favorite album and I still, to this day, blast it and go for a drive just to enjoy the beautiful mountains with some laid back, feel good tunes. Great job bands and venue team!

Without a doubt one of the coolest concerts I've ever been to. The venue (showbox at the market) was amazing, the set was amazing, and then to top it all off getting a sweet poster signed and meeting the band, complete and utter amazement.
