Candlebox

This was an all ages show, so it was the first time my two youngest kids (10 & 12) have ever seen Candlebox!!! We all had an absolute BLAST!!! Everything was perfect. Great venue with super nice people working the event....and....of course, the band killed it. They had the amps cranked up to "What F-in Roof ?!?!" Kevin's vocals are unparalleled and always spot on; Brian and Island both shred the guitar and are a great duo; Adam is always full of positive energy coming through on bass; and Dave is a one-of-a-kind greatness banging the skins!! The setlist was amazing and my older daughter (who has seen them several times) got to hear her long, long awaited favorite song!!! We would DEFINITELY go back to The Meadows for more concerts. As always, can't wait until the next time when we can jam to air guitar/drums, sing-a-long, and head bang to some ---- seriously bad ass rock and roll with CANDLEBOX!!!!!!

I have been a fan of this band since the beginning, and have seen them countless times. I travel to see them as well, and this venue impressed. Candlebox have not lost a step, and in fact continue to improve on their overall live shows with unparalleled musicianship and professionalism. Kevin is absolutely killing it vocally, hitting every note to damn near album perfection. It is usually very difficult to replace founding members and sound this good, but Brian is a ridiculously talented guitar player with the feel of Peter, so dare I say you won't miss him? And this rhythm section is hall of fame worthy...o wait, one of them is in already. Anyway, go see these guys and you will be blown away, as usual, as they are one of the best touring rock bands in existence and criminally underrated.

Undoubtedly this was one of the best Rocks shows I have ever seen! Kevin's voice is absolutely amazing and the music, like always, was extremely tight. These guys are better than ever and it is great to have them back in the music scene. If you haven't had the opportunity to see them, you have been missing something special. If you get the chance to shake their hand, you will be pleasantly surprised by their down to earth and friendly nature.

Penn's Peak was a beautiful place to see a show!! Candlebox sounded great as did the opening band. There were not alot of other people at the show so we had a great view of the band. I would highly reccomend seeing a show at Penn's Peak and I would highly reccomend seeing Candlebox when they come to your town. Their lead singer had an amazing voice and none or the old songs have lost their appeal.

Was impressed by stage performance, not a huge turn out for this event, but i was happy to finally see them after enjoying there music on radio and albums for years. Great place to see any show also!

Awesome band, awesome show! Please bring them back! All the members of this band are so wonderful to their fans!!

I wasn't sure what to expect because I really only knew a few songs but what a great concert they put on!

As usual, it was amazing and awesome. They never disappoint live.

Candlebox played at the House of Blues in Houston, TX on July 6, 2009 with Earshot as the opening act. This concert was a birthday present for my husband's birthday and he is a big fan of Candlebox. After eating in the restaurant down on the first level of the House of Blues, our receipt was stamped with 'Pass The Line' which allowed us first access into the concert. Standing front row center was one of the best places in the House. Earshot put on a great show which got the crowd rared up and ready for Candlebox. Kevin Martin was a treat and really got the crowd involved in the show. He is very energetic; reaching out and really touching the crowd, signs autographs while singing on stage and even grabbed up a cell phone and sang into it at one point. The whole band lets you know that they are enthusiastic about their fans. Wonderful solo spotlights for all band members including Scott Mercado who is an excellent drummer. Candlebox played their set list and even came back out for an extremely long and still energetic encore. I was not a huge Candlebox fan before the concert, but went out and bought 2 of their CD's two days after the concert. This was one of the best shows that I have attendend in quite some time and really recommend seeing Candlebox live in concert!!!! It is a show well worth the money!

From a far thrown back, bygone time, often referred to as the 90's, emerges Candlebox. Gotta say I was not disappointed to see them, hear a few from the past, and some kick ass new stuff. Given all of that and in a venue that lent to their audience driven approach to giving us their best, this show was tops. Their connection to the audience was palpable, all were vibing at a metaphoric rate, while the band punched on song after song. Every transition was tight, well rehearsed and played to the bands strengths of in your face upbeat driving rock, to the slow going, "I m home again" melodic grab your girl, songs well all know by heart. Great concert, I hope they stick around for a while longer this time.

The first time I saw this band was about 14 years ago on the Dallas Fair Park grounds. I stood first row center and got the opportunity to shake Kevin Martin's hand as he performed, and like the true gentleman he is, Martin opens his performance singing and shaking his fan's hands, classy. His musical genius lies within his words and vocal prowess of his music. There are very few bands today that captivate the souls amd emotional hearts of their audience like Candlebox. Candlebox's lyrics are both dark and poetic and the sound, a bluesy rock, almost soothing at time. I would recommend Candlebox to anyone. Candlebox gave an outstanding rock performance!!! A must see!!

I have been listening to Kevin and the boys for more than 20 years now and they did not miss a beat last night... They sounded fantastic and Kevin as usual puts on a great persona. All in all it was a great show!

Both bands were awesome. The energy was unbelieveable. Great venue.

I had never seen Candlebox in a live performance. It was great. The guys have never ending energy. House of Blues is a great venue.

What a great show...the boys from Seattle show they can still bring it, and heavy. We were at sound check, met the band, and really enjoyed the show. Earshot was awesome and a good opener, but Candlebox stole the show! Especially when they ripped into some covers during the middle of the set.

Candlebox has a way of making you feel like you are the only one in the crowd. Their stage presence was personal and inviting. One by one the band members came to the edge of the stage and played, handing their guitar picks to a lucky fan. The memebers of the audience swayed and jammed to the new and old songs. We were all friends by the end of the night. They do an awesome job of mixing new with old and keeping you interested. They played a great set, and even if you didn't know the new stuff, you were equally mesmerized by the familiar chords of their guitars and sway of the music that in turn swayed the crowd.

Last night was a blast! I took 3 friends with me, one of which didn't know candlebox, and they had a great time. Old songs were great, and new songs were AWESOME! Keep coming back to Houston Candlebox!

Candlebox rocked it! Great performance from the entire band. They interacted with the audience, signed autographs and took pictures with fan's cameras, etc. Fantastic entertainers! They sounded amazing and the House of Blues was great as usual. I'd go to see them again tomorrow if I could!

I haven't seen Candlebox in over 10 years and they still sound terrific. Pretty much a no nonsense show with great songs and sound. They truly acted like they were appreciative of everyone being there. Played alot of new stuff, but did leave out "Happy Pills" and "10,000 Horses". Great show all around at the great House of Blues

Candlebox was very high-energy! Participated with the audience all through the performance, you could tell they were having fun and glad to be there. Played all their best songs + new ones and even covers of other bands (in one song). House of Blues is the BEST venue hands down to be more intimate with the band. It was a great, great concert. Worth every dollar spent for tickets.

The revamped Jannus Live is a near perfect venue. Candlebox continues to rock as hard as ever. Put the two together and you're in for one of the best shows you'll see at any price, but for $15 nothing can compare. Candlebox rocks!

We drove up from the Baltimore area to see our favorite band. The club was great along with Candlebox. We saw them at the Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach 2 years ago. That band puts on a great live performance. Highly recommend this club, reminds you of the original Hammerjacks in Baltimore.

as usual Candlebox has done another great performance, the other bands that opened for them were also very intertaining, had a blast and I was glad to buy VIP it was well worth it!

This was a great show. Seen them twice before this summer at Bike Week in Sandusky, OH, as well as the Park Street Festival in Columbus, OH. That show was free. House of Blues in Cleveland is an exceptional venue for real FANS. Very intimate setting to say the least... the mezzanine seats were candle-lit and cozy... the general admission floor is very small, so its very easy to get up front and get some handshake action. After the event, Scott and the boys came out to the grand lobby and did a meet and greet. The line moved quickly although upon our turn, we did not feel rushed and the gentlemen were very open and genuine. Over all I am a huge fan of this band. The have amazing live sets, and their new album, Into the Sun, is well-composed, mature, and is great from start to finish.

It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Very energetic and so worth the 5 hour drive it took us to get there. :)

I just saw Candlebox in March and was thrilled to have a chance to see them again. Candlebox "Rocked The House". Acoustics were great and the group did more than just deliver they blew it out of the ball park!! Before I knew it the night was over and I still wanted More and got it...Candlebox stuck around and signed autographs as well as took time to take photos. They were warm in their conversations and they were true gentlemen......... I can't say that about to many other groups groups. Good Music.......Good People....that sums it up!

AWESOME NIGHT! The show was excellent. All of the bands there were good, But Candlebox Rocked the house. Royal Bliss was the opening act and if you could have been there you would understand that the next opening act that you go see should be Royal Bliss. Awesome Band. The next time they are in your town, GO!!!!! You don't know what your missing.

Candlebox/earshot was GREAT! My friend and I both had the best of times. We wanted to follow them to their next show! We loved the location, the preformance. We will definately attend many more shows as often as we can!

Second CB show I've seen and the performance was wonderful. They are a great group of guys and seem to take up a lot of time with the fans. If you get a chance to do the VIP ticket thing I highly recommend.

Been enjoying their music for many years. First time seeing them live. I am still impressed with the depth of the vocals and the songwriting. This band seems healthy and still excited to throw down their great sounds.

The show was unforgettable! They sound just as good as they did back in 1994! Couldn't believe they sound just as good live as they do on their cds!! Would recommend anyone and everyone to see them live if they can!

If you get the chance to see Candlebox live I highly recommend it, they sounded amazing! It was a great high energy show, with some of the best crowd interaction I've seen at a concert recently. I was highly impressed and would go back and see them again.

One of the best rock shows I have ever seen! First, my husband and I had never been to the L'Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge. It was a great place to see a concert. We would definitely go back to see another show there. Second, Candlebox rocked!. Kevin Martin's voice was incredible! His voice was strong and he looked great!! His energy level was non-stop! It was a general admission show and we were able to get close. Kevin was engaged with the audience. He took the time to shake hands and talk with fans close to the stage. He even playfully took someone's phone to record himself singing. Towards the end of the show, he thanked his fans for their support. The other band members rocked too!! We are hoping they continue to tour because we would see them again in a heartbeat!!

The show was INCREDIBLE!! They still kick azz!! Greatest part was getting to meet Kevin and thank him for the music over the years!!

Every show candlebox performs is stellar. They have high energy and give it their all. The interactions with fans is amazing.

I have seen Candlebox a few times in the past. The tickets were the most reasonable price I paid in a long time. The show was incredible, perfect sound great music and awesome stage presence making it a great night for us. If you haven't seen them in a while I highly recommend you check them out and you will be surprise on the high quality of show.

Candlebox was amazing! Lead singer connected with the audience in ways that I haven't seen with most bands. Definitely will catch them again in person.

One of the best most relaxed yet upbeat concerts I have ever been to

This was our first night out without kids in over 7yrs and it was great!! Kevin was funny and I loved hearing the stories behind the songs!!

It was a nice change to just sit back and enjoy hearing the stories of the Candlebox songs and what inspired Kevin to write them. Brian Quinn's guitar playing is always phenomenal!

The band~~As always, Candlebox put on an awesome show!! Kevin was much more engaged with the crowd than in past shows & his vocals are off the chart insane...WOW!! 25 yrs & still blow me away!! The venue~~ we love the intimacy of the venue but the cigarette smoke is so bad, I have to rush home to shower & put our clothes in to wash so be aware of that aspect. 5 star show minus a star bc of the smokiness of the venue.

I have loved Candlebox for years, Kevin never disappoints. Although the shows are always rocking with the full band I love the more intomate setting and him talking with the crowd. His voice is spectacular as usual and I loved the personality he was able to share. Wish we would have k ow there would be chairs on the floor however. Otherwise outstanding!

Wonderful show! I loved the acoustic version. They showcased their voices, and talents, down to the great story telling. I have seen them both ways, and absolutely loved the show.A+

The concert was great, other than the fact that ticket master did not post that it was age restricted. (21 and older). Made sense since it was just off the casino floor in a lounge, but I thought it was in an arena associated with the the casino hotel. Drove over an hour with my extremely excited 16 year old son, and we were turned away at the door! We snuck back in however, so the night was a success.

The boys rocked hard and heavy. We have seen them several times. We flew from Florida to Lake Charles LA to see them and can't wait till they visit flirida next year. The boys were coming in the back door of our motel and we got to get some pucs with them.. Awesome..

Kevin Martin's voice is still as incredible as ever. He's a genuine nice person, and a fun entertainer. He went out of his way to move a stack of monitors so that people on the side stage could hear the show better. His ad libs between songs were great. Thank you for coming to Lake Charles, guys. :)

Really liked the menu, great interaction with the croud. Love the second floor side balcony, it gets you eye level with the artist. There's a great view anywhere you stand. Great show!!!

Candlebox was Awesome! The opening band was OK at best. After all these years Candlebox still knows how to make the venue blow up with anticipation and excitement. One of the best concerts I have been to this year and that says a lot.

This was our 2nd Candlebox concert and our first time to the Stone Pony. The music was wonderful and the band really played to the fans. They are nearly timeless. The fans were aged teens to 50 somethings. Everyone had a great night out. Thank you, Candlebox! Can't wait to see you again.

Haven't seen Cbox since the early 90's at the Patriot Center (Fairfax, VA), as well, I haven't been to the Fillmore until this show. The Fillmore seems to be the only place offering good rock/metal shows, therefore I plan on seeing shows at the Fillmore instead of the 930. Candlebox has always been one of my favorite bands and am glad to see them back! I took along a buddy who really new Cbox's first album and a couple of songs and not much more, and he was blown away! Great show, I will definitely be looking out for them when they come back around. If your looking to catch a great rock band (there aren't that many anymore) I defintely recommend catching a Cbox show!!!

I'm a big Candlebox fan anyways so they will always rock. They played a good set but there we're many songs I was hoping that they just didn't get to play. Hopeful ly next time around the set will change and I'll get to hear them. Culture Room is great even though I think Candlebox could play bigger venues.

What an incredible show. As always the energy was through the roof. The whole band was on point. I can only hope that they will tour again after the release of their new album. They played two songs off the new album and they sounded absolutely insane. This was my eighth time seeing Candlebox live and I hope to see them again and again. The Culture Room was a concert goers dream. Anywhere in there you are up close and personal. It was like being at my own private concert. If you have never seen Candlebox live you are missing out on a lifetime experience!

Great show,the lead singers voice was PERFECT. Played all the songs you wanted to hear,well worth the time and trouble to check these guys out if they tour in 2012. MUST SEE LIVE!!!!!!!!!!

So good to see all the old school and some new school too ::including myself:: I loved how they would jam out together... they looked like they were totally enjoying playing together and just having a great time doing it!!.. overall it was an awesome expriance cant wait till they come down again!

Amazing performance by Kevin Martin! He is truly a showman! Dave Krusen who has played on most of there albums was there and as we all know is the original drummer for Pearl Jam was with them! Such a surprise! Kevin,Adam,Brian,Island,and Dave melted the venue down!

I haven't seen the guys play in a long time. It was a great concert! I would recommend having the first 2 bands play a shorter set though. The Culture Room is a great venue and reminds me of the Whisky in Los Angeles. I love Kevin Martin and the band's style.. They are all so down to earth and Kevin's voice was off the chart!!!!!!! Never skipped a beat. They engaged the audience like no other band I have seen in a very long time. What a voice, what an amazing talented group of guys!

The candlebox show was of the hook mixing in their old tunes with their new which I thought the new ones are better. However the tribute to the parkland shootings death with you was so moving it drove many to tears. That was really moving. This is a must see show if your are rock n roll fan. Hats off tot he band phenomenal job. The only negative is this band needs a bigger venue place was way overcrowded.

I'm a big fan of Candlebox. I play classical piano, a rocker & metal head. Music in family. Anyway, some of songs I could make out & then others I couldn't at first, only because the Culture Room is too small for their Bigness, the equipment & the band is too big for that size space. Thats why I gave a 4-Star, not a 5. Sorry! I seriously couldn't hear when I left, which never happened to me, but I'm so glad I went to see them. Love their music & they're nice to look at. :))

Energy and vibes are running high and a great show!!

Though I never got to see Candlebox live at the height of their popularity, I did see them at Freebird Live in Jacksonville in 2008 and again at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall last week and they were awesome both times. Over 25 yrs. since their first album and they still rock it out. I can tell you their talent hasn t waned. They sounded great and Kevin Martin is very engaging and energetic with the crowd. The venue allowed for a fairly intimate concert which I prefer over large stadiums. I would undoubtedly see Candlebox again and I wouldn t hesitate to see another show at this venue again. Parking and lines to get inside the venue, at the bar, and the bathrooms were no issue whatsoever. Great experience!

My wife and I saw them in Spokane about 11 years ago and that show was awesome....this show was even better.

I'll return to this venue again! Great acoustics. Perfect size. My sister has limitations and the handicap area was great. Security was very helpful. Candlebox has always been in my top 5 but this was my first time seeing them live! They did not disappoint! Better live! And it's so nice to have a great concert experience at an affordable price. Excellent show! Great venue!

Candlebox show was fantastic...loved the closeness of the venue. Just wish minors could attend shows there as my youngest daughter LOVES going to shows

Kevin Martin's voice is as strong as ever and the band is tight. The show was a rock-solid, 90-minute set of hits, new material, charming stage banter and a few surprises. If you were a fan in the 90s or are a fan of rock and roll in general, Candlebox is definitely worth checking out live. Additionally, the Hard Rock is a great venue for these mid-sized shows. Ample parking, multiple restaurants on site, great sound and highly-professional organization and scheduling. Be aware that bands will start on or near the stated start time on the ticket. This show started a little after 8pm and was done before 10pm. Don't be late!

The seats were great especially for the price!!! We will deff be back!
