Best Concert ever!!! Great Performance, his voice is Amazing. had the privilege of being front row @ his Concert Wish i could go back in time and experience everything all over again!!!

Hozier doesn't need to make himself or his band bigger than they are. The man and every member of the band give from the heart, are incredibly talented, and connect with the audience with ease. I have rarely felt such enthusiasm, love and gratitude from an audience and a band at the same time as I did on Friday night.

I drove hundreds of miles to see Hozier live. He and his band are nothing short of amazing. He had great rapport with the audience and was very appreciative of them as well. He is quite the talent both vocally and instrumentally. I will definitely seek out his next concert hopefully closer to home.

This was one of the greatest shows I have ever been to. They are a great band with an amazing sound. Truly great performers. Also, they are really genuine people and give off a great vibe. Bowery Ballroom was great as always.

Honestly one of the most memorable shows this year! I love Hozier's voice and truly deep lyrics. The venue was small and the acoustics were dynamite! Would definitely go back there. Hope he has great success and popularity!

Andrew Hozier is amazing live! It was the best concert I have ever been to. His appreciation for his fans and his talent is beyond compare. His band is top notch as well and he is very happy to promote other musicians.

I saw HOZIER for the first time on October 24th, 2014 in Boulder, CO. Since then I've seen him at the Masonic in San Francisco, Red Rocks in Colorado and ACL Festival in Austin. His final show in the United States was this October 23rd, 2015 show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. HOZIER's talent has catapulted him into stardom selling out venue after venue on this tour. He is tall, charming with a beautiful voice. A good enthusiastic audience usually bolstered the performance of those on stage and such was the case during this show. HOZIER no doubt was looking forward to a break after this lengthy tour, but he put on the performance of a lifetime at this show. He sincerely thanked the audience for their support and promised to return to America in the future.

This was an amazing show! The house was packed, the floor was packed with people trying to squeeze in for a close-up glimpse. Hozier has an incredable voice and is a very talented song writer. The songs just keep running through my head. A very unforgettable evening.

I absolutely loved the show. I was in the pit but you could have seen the stage from anywhere. He was really sweet and came out to play an encore of 3 songs. The opening act, Little Green Cars, were awesome. I had never heard of them before but now I can't stop listening to them. The venue was packed and we showed up at 2 to get in line and ended up pretty close to the stage.

Hozier was so gracious to be in Berkeley for his last stop of his US tour. His performance was MAGNETIC, everyone was singing along to every one of his songs. He took time to explain some of the background stories behind his songs as well as time to express his gratitude for his band, fans, and background workers who made all of the concert possible. The opener, Little Green Cars, was a great start to kick off the evening. All in all, it was a great night thanks to Hozier's infectious energy and the venue's chill atmosphere.

I usually go to a concert hoping the artist sounds as good as they do on their CD, but kind of expecting that they won't... Not the case with Hozier! He was not just as good as the CD, but actually even better! You could hear so much more depth and range in his voice! I had goosebumps from the beginning of the concert to the end!! I can't wait for him to come back to this country to perform, I will definitely go see him again!

Hozier delivers an amazing show filled with energy, emotion, and silky smooth singing that sounds just as good as you'd expect and honestly, even better live. A great musician! If you get the chance to see him, do it!!

Hozier and Little Green Cars were amazing. So much talent and i always appreciate concerts with live music and no cd playing in the background. It was definitely sold out, but it is obvious why. I'm glad I got to experience the last show in America.

Friday night's Hozier concert was brilliant at The Greek in Berkeley. This is one of my favorite venues & my daughter & I were thrilled with our experience there yet again. We had general seating & arrived early & settled into waiting in line. We were pleased with our seats & fully enjoyed Little Green Cars whom we hadn't heard of but now look forward to hearing more. Hozier never disappoints & we thought he was amazing as were his bandmates. We appreciate his humble, Irish personality & look forward to hearing more of his music. Can't wait to see him again live, too.

For an artist to out do live what they did on their cd... Absolutely amazing!!! This was the second time I've seen Hozier live. I will continue to go anytime he and his band are in town. They are so fun, funny, and talented. Andrew is an absolute joy. The show started right on time. The Little Green Cars opened and were also amazing! The band played for well over 2 hours with their music and covers. The encore was something I will also never forget. After the concert Andrew even came out and met with fans. Stand up lad! Stand up band! On a scale from 1-10.... He and his band deserve 100. Unforgettable. Amazing. What a great time!! Slán!

Amazing event. Parking was pretty brutal -- Greek Theater is definitely a venue for which I suggest an early arrival, and we missed the opener and had trouble finding seating as a result -- but the show was amazing and beautiful.

This unassuming artist provided the audience with everything he had to offer. His voice and lyrics are soulful and sincere. Authenticity is rare, yet here comes Hozier. This rising-star performance will be remembered as the last show he is considered to be a "rising" star. Hozier has arrived.

HOZIER SOLD OUT IN RENO, NV & he was everything that I expected and more! He is so live, present, and engaged. There are no words to describe his vocal skills. he just truly gives his all. And on top of that you feel he is a wonderful soul. He thanked and thanked his crew, he valued them all on stage individually as well as the opening act, Little Green Cars. Hozier is real!

The experience was great, but in a smaller venue it would have been nice to turn the volume Down. So many great musical events are ruined by shear volume. Let the music be heard, as close to Unplugged as volume can go let us hear the voice not just the base

Great show for a guy who only has one LP out. Great voice. Lots of teenage girls and their mothers screaming like the Beatles showed.

The opening act was great, except the music volume was way to high. Hozier is great, but, they had to do the annoying lights blinding the audience. I wish this fad would disappear. Also, three very rude young girls two rows in front of us insisted in standing up and dancing and blocking the view of the stage. The theater has a mosh pit. They should insist that all the people dancing should be down there.

Hozier was entertaining and sounded great. First time at GSR's new concert venue. Not a bad seat in the place. GSR is bringing in a nice eclectic roster of entertainment. Hopefully, GSR will bring back Hozier.

Our evening with Hosier was exceptional. With one hit album to his name, we were familiar with everything he played. The random covers Hosier threw into his set were arranged in fun new ways that led to some interesting listening and he has a sweet way of interacting with the crowd. But most impressive was Hosiers talent which is a mix of rock and Irish folk. Loved the show!

Was so looking forward to this concert. It absolutely lived up to my expectations. He's a very talented and kind artist. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Hozier's performance was great. His voice, his guitar playing, the cellist that that accompanied him, along with the rest of the band sounded even better live than studio recordings. He played a decently long set list -- originals plus a very fun cover song (made the cover song sound better than the original artist!) I recommend Hozier for a easy going but fun evening, and definitely an amazing concert to take a date!

Andrew Hozier is much more than a musician. He is a poet, an artist with meaningful and picturesque lyrics that captures you from the very first moment. He sings from his soul and with all of his heart. It is in every song he plays. The entire audience could feel it and the vibe was quite obvious, we witnessed something magical and extraordinary. From the moment Little Green Cars stepped on the stage until Hozier closed with Work Song it was pure perfection. Hands down the best musical experience I have witnessed in many years. I am 59 years old and have seen almost everyone save the Beatles and Elvis. He is right up there with the best of them. He was gracious, kind, warm, sincere and appreciative to all the members of his band, crew, lighting, stage, etc, and the audience. Unheard of in this day and age. Somebody sure raised this man right! I cannot say enough about this wonderfully talented human being. It was my absolute divine pleasure hearing and watching him play. Not to be missed if you are given the chance. Freaking Amazing! The Gold Standard I will now base all future concerts on.Good luck! You are going to have a devil of a time topping this one!

Grand Sierra has upped their game and created a magnificent concert hall. Seeing hozier here was incredible. The sound was crisp and loud. Layout perfect! Trying to give it 5 stars but it won't let me :/

The concert was one I won't soon forget! The lighting was phenomenal, they put on an incredible show! I can't wait to see him again soon! He paid a little tribute to the Beatles by singing "blackbird" which was lovely. He also sang a bit of " regulate" which got me out of my seat! It was all very, very entertaining! Thanks HOZIER!

I waited for this concert all year! Bought my tickets in March, the minute they went on sale, because I knew it would sell out. Finally went to the concert in October & sure enough, there was not an empty seat in the ampitheatre! The Santa Barbara Bowl is beautiful, even if it's quite a trek. Driving to Santa Barbara takes hours, you have to park pretty far away & walk to the entrance to the ampitheatre, then you have to struggle up a very steep hill to get to the seats! Wear comfy shoes! But it was all worth it... Hozier was super fine, the audience (mostly female...cuz he is so fine) loved him & he loved us back! The acoustics were great, loved hearing his beautiful, deep voice filling up the night air. Great show all around!

Absolute bliss. Andrew is so talented on the guitar, and SDSU OAT created the perfect atmosphere. In addition, he placed a huge emphasis on giving thanks to his accompanying band, his tech crew, even their tour bus drivers. Such a great guy and an awesome show. Can't wait for Hozier to come back to SD!

I couldn't wait for this show! Hozier and his band is just incredible live. Some bands are strictly studio bands but they are the opposite. The sound was awesome and I enjoyed every second of the show. I'll see him again for sure :)

I have been trying, without avail, for years to see major headliners in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM. The last five that I have tried to attend have been woefully cancelled and so I decided to go venture out of Albuquerque to see the show. Dear God it was worth the five hour drive, rental car for the weekend, and sketchy hotel stay. This show was the entire Hozier CD (minus Foreigner's God) plus a few others. [You haven't lived until you've heard Broken Wings (Mr. Mister) and Problem Ariana Grande) in the Hozier interpretation.) He sounds BETTER in concert than on the CD--which is why I was just blown away. I will say, though, I was so disappointed when I though for sure he wasn't going to play Work Song--a song I have loved since the moment I have heard it and has supplanted my decade-held favorite Awake (Josh Groban) I was ecstatic when he did. I mean, I would have been so disappointed if he hadn't but he did and my life was fulfilled in those moments. Oh, man, and that rendition of Take Me To Church modulated to be more in a minor-scale feel was just mind-blowing. He's got some excellent stage presence, if people would stop cheering when the guy is trying to talk. [The poor guy was like, "I'm sorry, I've been sick" and there were a ton of teenage girls who just lost their minds in ecstasy that he was talking. They also were super happy about and proposing marriage during Cherry Wine, which is a song about pretty significant abuse.] And dat speaking voice. I miss Ireland, and I'm a fan of the the accent so it was really nice to hear him (and Little Green Cars) speak. Little Green Cars--I hadn't heard of them before this concert but I've since bought their first CD. There's like 5 or 6 of them, only one of which is a woman. She was singing her heart out and it sounds like she was probably sick or straining. The guys don't have to work so hard because there's so many of them. I wish they had had a better stage presence, though, they seemed a bit rushed. (Hozier was a bit like that, too, but probably because all the performers realized they could have announced they were serial killers and the audience was going to scream in elation.) It was just one song after another, very little in-between. (But, again, not that the audience was really listening. It was Hive Theory at its best.) I am now a FAN of Alana Henderson--who sang In A Week with Hozier during the concert (the cellist). Wow. You can really tell that Ms. Crowley on the CD is Irish (the way she sings the vowels). However, Ms. Henderson's voice was amazing and I couldn't have been happier about the choice to have her along. They complement each other well in presence, tone, and pentameter. I'm not sure if pentameter is the right word but its the word that I feels describes them together. It's already a very moving and illustrative song but the two of them together on this was just...awesome. This is no slight on Ms. Crowley, who I also enjoy very much, but I did like the Ms. Henderson version better. I wasn't a fan of the venue. [Although, when else am going to have a chance to say, "Waiting for a concert by an Irishman at a sombrero-shaped theater"?] Maybe it was the seats that Ticketmaster wouldn't let me move being in the second tier of the sombrero, maybe it was the screaming girls who left my left ear ringing, or maybe it was the way the sound bounced off of the walls where we were at. I'm not sure. The seats were strange, and anytime anyone moved or used their phone or spent the entire performance recording the performance, you just couldn't help but notice. Of course, there is no other venue where I would have had the perfect view of the middle-aged guy wearing a Hozier t-shirt as a head cape (distinct from the one he was already wearing), dancing, and losing his mind with his friends while tripping out on actual ecstasy. It didn't diminish the performance, though. Seriously, though, this was good enough that I went home the next day and saw it again in Albuquerque. and I probably would have gone to see it in Austin if I didn't have to go back to school on Monday. Probably my ADR professor would have understood (as he, too, has had extended time in the Wild Atlantic Way) but definitely not by Evidence professor.

Hozier was fantastic live. So good in fact, that he made us forgive him for being 45 minutes late. He is a great vocalist and to my great surprise, one hell of a guitarist. This is a top 3 performance of my lifetime.

Hozier is an accomplished musician with a voice that exceeded his album. Loved the show.

I fell even more in love with his music after this show. I love that his band is men and women. He talks and laughs with the crowd in between songs. He played a completely out of character song from another artist. He sounds beautiful live. His voice is so clear and his tone is beautiful. Loved it!

I am a frequent concert-goer and this is the best concert I have attended in awhile. Not only is hozier extremely talented, but he just really displayed great character as well. He seemed to truly be a humble and authentic guy. His man bun also rocks.

Venue was perfect. I had general admission and I was afraid that I would have no chance of being front row, but I was! They give everyone a fair chance. Hozier was incredible!!!!! The band was amazing. Everyone put on a spectacular show. I'm so happy I went.

My friend and I drove down from Seattle to see the show and it was entirely worth it. It was our first time in Portland and at the venue and both were a top notch experience. Hozier is without a doubt the best live performer I've ever seen, he's the real deal, a true poet and artist. The venue was easy to navigate and well staffed with helpful, friendly people. We will definitely be back some time!

I wasn't sure what to expect since Hozier is new, and doesnt have much depth in terms of songs to pull from. He was wonderful! Great show. Especially loved Little Green Cars, the band that opened for him. All in all, a wonderful evening.

One of the best shows I've seen in years, and I go to a concert once a month:) Hozier is a shy and soulful Irish gentleman, with a solid repertoire to keep audiences engaged. He's a very humble guy who thanks everyone from his back-up band to the guys selling his T- shirts. His guitar work is as awesome as his bluesy voice and anyone would enjoy his performance. He doesn't talk much but has a sense of humor. Wished he spoke more so we could enjoy more of that Irish accent! Loved every minute of him and his mostly female back-up band.

The opening band, Little Green Cars, was remarkable. I looked up their songs a few days before the concert so I could sing along at least a little, but I didn't really need to. It was awesome just swaying to the beat along with the rest of the crowd. Hozier, however was a different story. I knew all the words to everything and I was probably screaming them the whole time. He sounds exactly the same on recording as live which is pretty hard to come by. I love the meaningfulness of his music. I will definitely be seeing him again in the future.

Really enjoyed every bit of this show! Hozier was fantastic. I sort of didn't know what to expect to be honest. I've been following him for a while, but all I'd seen that was live were videos with just him and his guitar. This was a big stadium show with some fun effects, a big supporting band, including back-up singers. Yet it often felt more intimate like a club show. The sound and lighting were great. I loved the effect of the mixed style of lights, big flashy stadium lights with old fashioned Edison style standing & hanging lights on the stage. I'd been to another show at this venue and really wasn't impressed, especially by the sound. Now I'm thinking it was the crew for the previous event that didn't do so great. Hozier is not just a great performer but authentically appreciative of everyone in the crowd and everyone he works with. He seemed happily blown away by the crowd's response. And like a true Irish gentleman thanked every single person with him on the stage and every single person on his crew all the way through to their bus driver "who really keeps this show rolling." Yes, he's got a great sense of humor too.

Awesome venue, artist and band!. Can't wait to see him again!

Hozier is an amazing performer. He is humble and incredibly funny. I saw him earlier this year at the Masonic and I can say his opening act choice has improved. His performance was great at both shows. Attending multiple shows does not feel repetitive due to the high quality and his rotating cover songs. I would highly recommend going to one of his shows and if possible one that does not have complete general admission. The Greek Theatre overbooks their venue and it makes the show less enjoyable. A good portion of the audience was on the extremely slanted slope grass seats getting wet, which was better than those stuck in the standing room seats. The concert goers with good seats were in line for more than 5 hours before the show. Next time he tours in America I will go again, but hopefully he picks a new venue.

Hozier show was great. there is no doubt in my mind that this kid is going to prove himself to be considered one of history's all time greats. Super talented guy with a seemingly humble and appreciative demeanor. Really enjoyed the show-from beginning to end.

He seems to be one of the most humbled artists and down to earth. His opening act was amazing as well and he brought out Alana Henderson to sing In a Week with him.It was general admission so I was really up close. The early you get there the better. He has great energy on stage and overall it was one of the best concerts I have been to.

Opening act was ok but main act was awesome. Overall a good show though. Hozier has a great voice and fun on stage.

I've heard Hozier's live covers online, but never in person. This venue was really nice, and I was able to get great pictures of him. His singing was phenomenal, I would pay ang go again just to hear his voice live again. The stage setting was lovely, the lighting was minimal, and he integrated his background singers and cello player beautifully. Lastly, he allowed a few people in the encore to come closer into the pit, so I was able to stand right by the stage and hear him. One of my most memorable nights.

Hozier sounds just as good live as he does on the record, and of course better because the music is loud enough to reverberate in your soul. He isn't a flashy performer, he lets the music and his obvious genuine emotion while playing do the talking. The one thing he does show off is his excellent guitar skills and his deep, resonant voice. Even if you've never heard of the man or his music, he's worth seeing. He is an absolute force of nature.

Went to this concert and had only heard 1 or 2 of his songs and after the concert, my husband and I are big fans!! He is amazing and gracious and a great entertainer!

SB Bowl is one of my favorite live music venues and this night was no different. Hozier put on an amazing show, his band was great (loved that 4 of 6 band members were female!) and the sound was good. I'd certainly go see him again!

Hozier's music is absolutely genuine - no prerecorded tracks, no electronic distortion - just a guy on a stage with accomplished musicians and vocalists as support. The lighting was exactly right - enough to highlight the musicians without overpowering the performance - perfect for the venue. I love the CD; I enjoyed this performance even more. I was also quite impressed with Hozier's poise and humility on stage. He introduced the cellist, Alana Henderson, and spoke highly of her own singer/songwriter career; he thanked the audience for welcoming Little Green Cars (the opening act), saying the band had travelled from Dublin to perform that night - it all came across that this performer is in it for the music more than the ego, and it made me glad I'd spent my money on a ticket.

Take me to Hozier! This show was great. I was not as familiar with their music as I am other groups with a couple of exceptions. But, the show was fun. Little Green Cars did a fantastic opening I love the Santa Barbara Bowl venue. There are a few recommendations - the Free-Fill water station; there's only one. Putting a watering station at the top of the arena would be a great way for those not close to the entry to take full advantage of the refillable cup

Hozier is even more amazing live! he's been the only musician that I have wanted to watch perform live and I was definitely NOT disappointed.

Hozier was just wonderful - the set could have been a bit longer, but not surprising as he only has one album. We enjoyed the covers. Can't wait to see him again - it was nice to see him in a relatively small venue before he gets so huge he sells out Sleep Train. I always enjoy the Open Air Theater too.

Saw Hozier @ SDSU open air theatre with my daughter and loved the show! He is amazing! He did not disappoint - played many of the songs we loved from his album and even a couple of other songs that were not his own but put his take on it and they were great! Became an even bigger fan! <3 <3 <3

Right from the first act which Hozier brought from Ireland, the vocals the entire night were awesome, as was the unique instrument combos Hozier uses in his music. The weather was perfect

Hozier sounded exactly like he does on his albums. He is humble and is great towards the crowd. I brought my children with me as well and they loved it. Will definitely see him again next time he is here.

the venue was nice since it was outdoors but if was hot it would be living hell. The opening performance went on forever they were okay. Hozier came out for about an hour and then was called out for another half hour because of the screaming crowd it was a short show but well worth the price and wait. The Location is nice the college campus has a very nice food court right next to the venue which was nice. Parking was $15 and locating it was a chore.

This singer song writer will follow in the footsteps from other notables from the Emerald Isle. With more than the occasional nod to Van Morrison and Rory Gallagher he smoothly moved through ballad to rock. The crowd loved this somewhat homely young man. Global stardom waits this most talented of troubadours. Best wishes to him.

Venue was really nice. Great sound quality and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Hozier is not just for the 20 something crowd. He's a true talent and I can't wait to see what he does next. If you love musicians like Stevie Wonder, you'll love Hozier and his fantastic band.
