I have been waiting for over 30 years (since college) to see him perform live. What a great night! His guests had phenomenal voices. His catalog of work is jaw dropping. Even though I already gave him credit for most it, the show was a great reminder of the breadth of his work. He also has a good sense of humor and gave anecdotes from his life. Overall, very entertaining. My only regret is that he did not play "Katie's Theme" from the Stealing Home soundtrack. That is my all-time favorite.

David Foster is amazingly talented in writing songs and playing the piano. He had three really talented singers singing his songs which made the event even better, and the musicians were equally special. I had a wonderful evening! So glad I saw and heard this show.

The concert was an excellent venue, excellent performances, very entertaining and we enjoyed ourselves! However, we were extremely disappointed that we paid so much money for the Meet & Greet package, only to find out the only meet and greet we had was with David Foster himself. It should have been made clear on the emails sent on the artists websites promoting the show that the meet & greet would NOT include any of the performers. Everyone around us who was there for the meet and greet felt the same way. There was ALOT of disappointment with all of the VIP's. If I would have know this, I could have saved over $600 on 2 tickets just to shake David Fosters hand. Sorry.

This was no ordinary "concert"- it was extraordinary!! 4+ hours of music from artists across all genres- truly angelic voices graced the stage. 100% class acts and blasts from the past. The musicians should be given credit for their incredible accompaniment (sp?). The sound was crisp! I loved the humor of the re-takes and sure didn't mind hearing those beautiful songs again. Reminded me of how I hit "REPLAY" on the songs I love!! David was a great MC, as well as musician!! Loved the pairings and Matrina McBride did a wonderful hommage to Michael Jackson. NEO- are you kidding!!!!! I DID MAKE POINTS WITH MY TEEN, but I knew him too. David, give us a little cred, OK? Seal- WOW!! Charise- put GLEE back in my heart. It was worth the solo drive from LA just to hear Micheal Bolton, Kenny Loggins and Kenny G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to 'REPLAY" one more time when it hits the TV waves. The only one missing was my favorite artist- Steve Perry!!!!!!!!! With love & blessings, YOU ROCK!!!

Great artists, great music. The re-do's were a little offputting, and our seats were on the side (121). The accoustics in the event center are crappy on the side. Paid top dollar for the tix and noticed tons of empty seats on the floor fright in front of the stage. That was a dissappointment. Great concert. worth $300 for two tix? Nah. Would go again, but buy cheap tix and bring binoculars. No big screen. Weird. Foster's a little too full of himself. Didn't thank or recognize the violin player or the orchestra. Weird. It was pretty much all about him.

The superstars and the songs that were performed were terrific! To see and hear the great performers like Donna Summer, Earth-Wind-Fire, Chaka Khan, Charice, Ne-Yo, Jackie Evancho, Natalie Cole, and David Foster's special guests in one venue were simply amazing! I plan to attend his shows in the future.

The show was excellent in terms of talent. Stretching the show to go till midnight because of retakes was not fair to the audience. Also because of the cameras roving through the seats the visability was poor at times. After paying such a large amount for the tickets I was dissapointed in the production of the show but not the cast

This show was absolutely unforgettable. Because they were taping this show for a PBS special, everything had to be perfect. There were a couple songs us audience members got to hear twice (darn!) due to minor feedback issues and a couple monologues done twice as well, but all in all I was glued to the 3 and a half hour show. Our ticket price was well worth seeing almost 20 different iconic people/groups sing their hits. I was lucky enough to attend David Foster's first "... and Friends" show over 2 years ago here in Vegas, and this was a great sequel!! I will definitely be at his next one WHEN he comes back to Las Vegas.

Unfogettable show! An all superstar casts - only DF can put this together. This was pure hard work, perseverance and respect from artist made this a magnificent show. It was great to see his perfection at work when he repeated some songs for the DVD to be shown on TV. Only DF in the kinds of Martina McBride to say NO PROBLEM let's make it right (imagine these are superstars). CHARICE, SEAL, NE-YO, DONNA SUMMER, MICHAEL BOLTON, NATALIE COLE, MARTINA MCBRIDE, KENNY LOGGINS - did an unforgettable performance, WOW! Was hoping for more Charice songs or hoping for: Charice-Donna Summers or Charice-Martina(Valentine song). This is a superb show - THANKS DAVID FOSTER! Also thanks for supporting Charice. Filipinos keep their gratitiude very deep in their hearts.

Having gone to the first David Foster & Friends, which I thought was excellent, I was literally thrilled to have the chance to see Natalie Cole, Earth Wind & Fire, Rueben Studdard, Charice, Jackie Evanco, and the rest, but the constant "retakes" and David being so into himself was a bit much. Constantly talking aout his 3-4 wives as if that was a badge of honor, and talk, ing about his being the biggest part of many of the entertainers success was arrogant. It also seemed that the orchestra wasn't prtepared to move onto the next song with their shuffling music arrangements around, and waiting for David to signal them to move faster. I wojld have to say I have seen enough of David, and not enough of his "Friends".

The show was very compelling, we couldn't leave till the last note was played. A wide array of talent, exposed me to some younger people like Ne Yo, who was excellent. Everyone was excellent, and David was down to earth, funny, and I had no idea he had written all those hits and with all those people. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I see a LOT..

Almost four hours of huge artist, beautiful sound quality, entertaining stage presence with his obvious comfort in his gift. The orchestra and performance level of the artist left me still getting chills even the next day as I was telling my work team and guest all about how magical it all was. The love of his work screams from this production and in turn the love those he has mentored, produced and written beautiful music for shows in there dedication to projecting the beauty. So, so wonderful to experience. Thank you David and friends.

The venue is a 4 star, David Foster was a 5 star. We had never been to the Wilbur before and had read some negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We downloaded an app and our drinks arrived quickly. The in seat service was great and seemless. Lets talk about the show. David Foster is great!!! He is interactive, funny and extremely personable. He has worked with the best of the best and his list of hits is endless. He has amazing singers to accompany his band and I cannot tell you how unreal his show truly is. Do not pass this show up if he visits your city or town. If he comes back to Boston we will be there.

An amazing night with a very talented and entertaining man. David knows how to put a show together and make you want more. He brings exceptional talent with him and the evening was a total delight. He is also handsome and charismatic and I bet over half the female audience would like to a chance at being his 5th wife. Getting up to the balcony is challenging as there are about 60 steps up but even more than that once you are there getting to your seats the steepness of the steps is even a bigger challenge and there is nothing to hold on to. Wear your most comfortable shoes and be careful.

He spends to much time trying to make cute jokes that are not good and skips though his songs just to do songs by others. He spends to much time on tributes to how great he is. The best part of the concert was the people from the audience that sang. I was rather disappointed with this concert.

It was the most fabulous two hours! We really enjoyed the more intimate setting of the Wilbur Theatre. The only negative, the chairs are not comfortable. David Foster's life with music is, truly, a gift to all us. His talent for writing & producing music, finding & sharing the talent of other musicians/singers is beyond impressive. Each show will be a bit different, if only for the opportunity for three individuals in the audience to have a 30 second chance to sing! For those of us in Boston, we were treated to three amazing voices! It was one of those nights you didn't want to end. I wish I had a recording to listen to over & over & over again!

David Foster is the consummate entertainer. His music was fantastic and the singers who performed were amazing. I also loved how he involved the audience, looking for singers to perform. He had many comedic touches as well, that kept the audience laughing and engaged. I had my father, who is hard of hearing, with me and the sound quality in the Wilbur was great--we're very grateful for that--as he enjoyed every minute and sound of the show. Would recommend this show again and again. There's something for everyone!!

David Foster's show is so amazing, I can't get hold of myself telling everyone how incredibly good he was, the magnificent performance of Fernando and the other 2- singers sorry, (I couldn't get the names correctly) in comparable to Celine Dion (who is David's #1 artists) and Whitney Houston. I could see more of him ! And as one of his many #1 fans, I give him 6-stars instead of just 5 and I repeat, David is simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !

Excellent concert. If you've seen the recorded concerts "David Foster and Friends", this is not as big scale as those ones were. Don't expect to see major guest stars, in fact the NYC didn't really have any guests, just 3 singers that tour with David, one of them being Pia Toscano who was in my opinion the best singer there. A real surprise of how she improved from her American Idol days. Either way, lack of major stars did not dampen this show one bit. It was great to see David, hear his music from different generations and appreciate the live sound. Show was packed and I didn't see any empty seats. Hope you enjoy the show as much as we did. P.S. After the show, crowd got David to come back for an encore. Of all the songs/compositions he could pick, he comes back and does a composition from the movie "Secret if my success", my favorite movie, my favorite melody. What a pleasant surprise.

David Foster and his ensemble of band and three magnificent singers had the audience on its feet many times during the show. There was a live skype with Josh Groban and a previously taped video with Michael Buble that was played during the singing of their songs. David played many of the songs he wrote or co-wrote with other musicians and also collaborated with including Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Huston, Peter Cetera, etc. Saying the show was magnificent is an understatement and will remain as one of the best concerts I have ever experienced!

The show was amazing, exceeded all my expectations. The smaller setting of the Count Basie Theater (seating capacity 1600) did indeed lend itself to a more intimate setting. David's interaction with the audience, his reflection on the background and inspiration of his songs, gave you a glimpse of the man and creative process. The video was fun with clips of the early years and the legion of great artists he has worked with. The accompanying vocal performers Fernando Varela, Shelea and Pia Toscano were incredible and the music, oh the music ! The evening flew by. I only wish I could see it again.

What a welcome surprise. Everyone knows that David Foster is an "over the top" talented musician but that evening he was so engaging with the audience that we got to know him a little personally. He was warm and welcoming and for sure thought my husband was going to be disappointed but he actually couldn't stop talking about it for days to everyone. In general all the songs bring back some warm memories but when you hear David Foster play them its a rush that can't be described. The mix of performers, musicians and televised guest appearances made this a very memorable evening.

Not a bad seat in the house. All the artist were very good. Purchased additional ticket for my sister and her daughter. They only heard me talk about Stevie, they were happily surprise by the other artists. Sinbad was funny.

Show did not fit it's billing. Where were all the "freinds" KennyG was an amazing "special guest". I didn't enjoy at all listening to David Fosters "entertainment" about supporting ex-wives. The Josh Groban sound alike was good and the female string quartet was good. I will give David the benefit of the doubt that perhaps "friends" are hard to book near New Years. Bottom Line. I came to see Jackie Evancho....I was not disappointed. She is "angelic". Oh, by the way...Dr. Phil as an audience guest sucked. And the 2 audience performers were excellent........what luck for the rest of us.

David Foster was funny. He is right in that he can not sing. LOL but he brought guest that could. Kenny G was ok but other friends of Foster that I would of rather seen. There were no stage decorations , not even a plant. That seemed strange for such an expensive concert.

Jackie sings like God's Littlest Angel, or at least what I would imagine that voice to sound like. She can lift you out of any despair, yet bring a tear of happiness to your eyes while doing it! She is so tiny, yet when she sings, her voice fills the heavens! What a gift she is for all of us! What a treat to finally see her in person! Here's to a long, properous career and life to this little cherub! She was accompanied by The Las Vegas Choir and what a DELIGHTFUL surprise they were! My wife talked to two of them before the show and how excited they were to have been selected to sing with Jackie! Kenny G. was amazing (and funny)! I have not heard him sound this good in years! He really looked like he was enjoying himself and we felt it! David Foster is the Master Showman of our time! His story telling journey taking us down memory lane regarding the many songs he has written made us sing, laugh, cry and appreciate the wonderful talent he is! His way of involving the audience is infectious and engaging! His knack of inviting talented people randomly from the audience to join him on stage is wonderful and his ability to relate to all cross sections of the audience from start to finish is a gift!

Total show OK. Jackie is totally beyond belief!! She is a very outstanding young lady. So mature when she sings and so an 11 year old between songs, which just makes her so great. Jackie, do not change!!!!

Overall it was a great show. I wish he had more guest.. The sound tech needs to be replaced as he messed up several times. Even David had to make a comment during the show. Was never overly impressed with Mandalay Bay event center for concerts. But regardless the show was a great one. Hearing Jackie Evancho sing is unbelievable. Such a voice from a little girl and having Kenny G as the guest was also enjoyable.

Wow! We saw Jackie on Americas Got Talent and immediately bought tickets to Vegas. We tailored our entire NY Eve trip around the concert and were completely impressed. David Foster is a wonderful talent and created a delightful show! We'd see him again, especially with Jackie

David Foster is so talented and funny. I had no idea that he had written and produced so many hits. Jackie and Cody are two wonderful young singers filled with potentials. Good to see David is actively searching and investing in young music talents. Surprise guest Kenny G was a real treat.

Jackie Evancho was great but friends Kenny G and Cory Pier were amazing! David Foster definitely made the concert fun and brought out a lot of great music throughout the 70-90s.

My wife and I attended David Foster and Friends featuring Jackie Evancho on 12/29/11. Apparently, Jackie had a bad cold during the performance, but we thought that she was fantastic anyway--no one mentioned during the performance that she had a cold nor did I notice any perceptible effect on her performance. I'd give Jackie six stars and the rest of the show and the venue four stars (as discussed below) for an average of five stars. If Jackie was a sick as her tweets made her sound, she's clearly a real trouper in addition to being an incredible performer! The other "friends" included tenor Cody Carey, who was very good--he did two solo songs and "The Prayer" duet with Jackie. Kenny G was apparently a late addition to the show and performed a couple of his more famous pieces. The Bella Electric Strings (an all-woman string quartet) performed briefly and also were part of the event's small orchestra. They were very good and wore some incredibly short sequined dresses. David Foster bantered with Jackie quite a bit--she was adorable and seemed very much at ease with David. He coaxed her into singing a few lines from Lady GaGa's "Poker Face". As other reviewers have noted, he did a "talent search" in the audience. A woman sang "Summertime" and a man sang Etta James' "At Last". Both were surprisingly good! David also told/played/sang the story of his music career as referenced to each of his marriages, which was interesting and entertaining. David also spent about five minutes talking with Dr. Phil, who was sitting in the front row of the audience and had the audience sing happy birthday to Dr. Phil's wife. I was ambivalent at best about the Dr. Phil interaction--it was five minutes of my life that I'll never get back, and I'd much rather have heard Jackie sing another song or two! Not to sound like a prude, but there was some gratuitous profanity throughout the show. The adults dropped one f-bomb and several s-bombs during the show. I wasn't necessarily offended, but I cringed on behalf of the numerous families that attended with their pre-tweens and tweens. Overall, I thought that keeping it G-rated might have been better. I thought that the sound could have been better overall--it sounded at times more like a rock concert than a classical crossover concert. There was a small orchestra and what appeared to be a standard band. The band seemed to overwhelm the orchestra at times, and the music sometimes seemed to overpower Jackie. To me, there was way too much bass in the concert overall, and the keyboard was often very loud and seemed to be over-driven and harmonically distorted at times. There was also a choir that backed up Jackie for several songs. I thought their vocals could have been more subdued, and they entered and left the stage at apparently random times which I thought was distracting from the main attraction--Jackie. Also, as Jackie made her grand entrance for the first set while singing "Lovers", it appeared as if the sound guys forgot to turn her microphone on, as we didn't hear the first line of the song. Overall, we had a reasonably good view of the stage from a distance in Section 209. We took binoculars, which were useful. They also had five or six big screens working, but two of the screens by the stage were partially blocked from our view by what appeared to be ventilation ducting or staging equipment installed near the ceiling. Be careful when buying your tickets for this venue if you're sitting in rows A-E in the upper tier of seats (the 200 sections). What appears to be an aisle and an empty space next to your seats is actually the stairwell from the entry tunnel, and you wind up sitting next to and looking through several railings that are installed to keep people from falling into the stairwell area (hope this makes sense). Once the show started, I really didn't notice the railings as much as I did before the show. We had stadium style seating, but it was not canted toward the stage, so we had to sit sideways or crane our necks at a 45 degree angle to view the stage. The floor seating appeared to be on one level and seemed to be pretty tightly spaced. We had to pass through metal detectors when entering the Event Center, and they did a cursory search of my wife's purse. Several videos of this concert have been posted on YouTube, but the ushers in our area were very aggressive about ensuring people were not taking videos of the event. The lady in front of me spent most of the show texting and checking her email on her iPhone, and the ushers checked on and spoke to her several times to make sure she wasn't taking videos, which was distracting and slightly annoying. Parking was free and easy in the Mandalay Bay parking garage, but there was a traffic jam leaving the garage after the event--we took our time leaving the Event Center and sat in the car for a few minutes to let the traffic subside. I'd say the Event Center was only half full for the show (David Foster said there were 5000 in attendance and the Event Center has a capacity of 12,000), so the traffic would probably be much worse for a sold out event. Hope this helps if you're planning to attend a David Foster and Friends show at Mandalay Bay!

The performance by David Foster and Jackie Evanco was amazing, The seating arrangement in a forum would have been much better. The concert and surprise guest was fantastic. There was a snag in the sound and we would have enjoyed the church choir singing.

David Foster was friends featuring Jackie Evancho was spectacular. Everything from the orchestra to the audience participation. I was seen jackie on PBS shows but doesn't compare to in person. She is very talented and gifted. A real treat to see and here her live. Truly soul cleansing and uplifting. Thanks for coming to Vegas. Love to see it again in the future.

Very disappointing indeed, I was expecting more songs from Jackie and less from David and his friends, next time around, I would go to Jackie's concert only if she is the only performer. The show was half an hour late, the background singers from Vegas were singing like they were singing two miles away. The surprised guest used inappropriate language during the show and given that it was a family oriented concert, there were lots of young and old audiences; I found foul language very unsavory. The show was about David rather than about Jackie. I thought it would be like the Saratosa Florida concert on PBS but it was not. It was about David Foster flattering himself. For Jackie's loyal fans, you don't miss a thing. Jackie performance was adorable and amazing. I will continue going to see Jackie concert everywhere I can butI would never go if David Foster is part of the show.
