Highlight of our holiday so far! Clay is incredible...his voice is as strong as ever considering he hasn't performed in a public concert in over 4 years! The orchestra was phenomenal and coupled with Clay's beautiful tenor voice...what more could we ask for!!! We only wish he would go back to performing and touring and putting out CD's...we miss him terribly!

GREAT show! I've seen him concert a few times and have enjoyed his past shows. But this show left all the others in the dust! Putting his touch on classic songs and made them definitely "his own". I wish I could watch it again... especially his new version of Unchained Melody and Build Me Up Buttercup! The bit with Ruben Studdard and Quianna Parlor was really cute too!

What a great show! Clay was at his best, doing music he loves and having a great time, so all of us there had a great time as well. His voice was strong and powerful and the lighting and effects were awesome. There will be some who aren't happy with this direction for him, but he honestly fits this genre wonderfully and it's obvious he really enjoys doing this music. I hope he does really well with this new direction.

Clay Aiken's show last night was polished, professional and amazing. His songs all has that jazzy feeling to them He had a great mix of slow and fast songs and every one of them was interesting with lighting and a tight sound from the orchestra and the band. But the most wonderful thing was his voice. Clay sounded absolutely outstanding. The best I have heard him sing. The entire production was well thought out. All in all, I cannot wait to see this show on PBS.

If anyone can get one in the mood for Christmas it's Clay Aiken. He can sing them all so well. I enjoyed ever minute of his show from "Mary Did You Know" to "What Are You Doing on New Year's Eve." When he sings those high notes everyone is thrilled and amazed. This man can sing and Christmas songs are made for his voice, his fabulous voice. He is also funny and seems to interact with his audience in a cute and endearing way. Love the "Voice" love the man and love how he sings with such joy and such passion!

Show was fantastic! Right off the show started at 8 pm on Time! Cay's singing was Great and the way he inteacted with us in the aduience was wonderful, this made us feel really special! He is funny and very entertaining and can laugh at himself! Having the singing contest for someone in the audience was an added part of the overall entertainment. After the show we met one of the hired base players out side and we asked if Clay was as nice as he seemed? And Andy said, "Yes even nicer". I tell everyone I meet, he is worth the time and money! This was the 11th time I have been to a Clay Aiken concert and alreay have tickets for his show in Anaheim, CA for Dec. 21st. Really looking forward to the show!

The Clay concert "Tried and True"was really amazing. He said this album was made for his Mother who had him singing all these old standards around the house all the years he was growing up. He wanted to give back to her for her love and support. He also did some stuff with digital manipulation showing the audince and explaining the difference between Analog sound and digital. It was so interesting. He said there's a growing interest of people who are going back to Analog because of it's richness and he also said a lot of performers out there now don't have to know how to sing it's done for them electronically. Then he did a demo. Talked the frist line of who's sorry now and they playe it back with the keyboard and it was so funny. he mimicked a Miley Sirus song and almost sounded just like her recording. So he gave a lot of good information to the audience too. He was so relaxed it was like he was in our living room. He was natural, his songs were wonderful,he has an amazing range, and he was VERY funny. He talked to the audience a lot, made fun of the 25 guys in the front 2 rows about being forced to attend with their wives, girlfriends, and the rest of the gay crowd. It was so funny. He has great comedic timing. Everyone was roaring in laughter. He singled out a little 4 yeard old and thanked him for sitting so still and being such a gentleman through all his slow boring songs. Then after while Clay stopped and went back to the little boy and appologized for waking him up. Conrad LOVED it too.All the way home he thanked me and talked about how great it was and his incredible singing. I took some video sound and a few pictures. Camera's were allowed. He thanked everyone for paying for a ticket to come see him live concidering they could all watch it on you tube in just 30mins.after this lady arrives home. He pionted to a lady in the audience and said to her I recognize your lens you have been to every show for the intire tour and then he she will post it soon.then everyone laughed. He was teasing with the audience about the postings.

Clay's voice was excellent as it is every time he is LIVE!! However, a few strange happenings prevented it from being a perfect show. I'll just call them technical difficulties... they set the show on a different path...a few lighting occurrences among other things. The overall show was great, good to hear his band playing 50/60s Jazzy music!!

I was dissappointed when my tickets arrived and Rueben Studdard was on the bill (this wasnt mentioned when I bought the tickets) I thought I could just skip Ruebens part but the whole show was intermixed with the two of them. The music was from the 50's to the 90's with excellant song choices by both. They were interacting the entire show and were very entertaining. The both sang very well some times together sometimes alone. Great music and singing and very funny interaction what more could you ask for. LOVE YOU CLAY

Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard were phenomenal together at the Silver Legacy in Reno. They beautifully sang individually and together, supported by two great female singers, and sang numerous songs from the 60's to the 90's. The concert went over 2 1/4 hours and was thoroughly enjoyable. I will definitely see them in concert again, what a pairing of voices and talent - praise God!

He has matured and grown into quite an entertainer. I loved seeing both of them together and enjoyed their duets as much as I did their individual songs. I was very happy to see Clay again, missing him for the last couple years. I'm looking forward to his 2011 tour. LOVE CLAY!! WELCOME BACK CLAY,,,,,

I don't think that are words that can fully describe the Tried and True concert performed on March 12th. What an amazing event - from the set design, to the lighting, to the orchestration, to the special guests. But foremost, the vocal talent and personality of Clay Aiken. This is the Clay that millions fell in love with in 2003, only better. He has grown as a performer and as a singer and his vocal abilities rival the greats. He is a musician in the truest sense of the word. This particular performance was taped to be shown on PBS. I highly recommend that anyone who was unable to attend this concert be sure that they tune in - it is a not to be missed performance.

If you have ever heard Clay Aiken sing, you know that he has a good voice. Well, that voice is BACK and better than ever!!! This show was amazing. It was FILMED for a PBS special to be broadcast sometime this summer. You must not miss this show when it comes on!!! The set and lighting were gorgeous. The band was EXCELLENT. Clay was beyond EXCELLENT. He debuted songs from his new CD, Tried and True, which will be released in late spring, welcomed dancers and guest singers (including his "arch rival" and good friend from American Idol days, Ruben Studdard!!!) and just blew our socks off with his incredible voice.

Clay Aiken introduced his upcoming new album "Tried and True" in a concert performance in Raleigh, NC which was filmed for a PBS special to be broadcast this summer. He performed with a combination orchestra and band and selections included big band classics such as "Mack the Knife" and pop standards from previous tours such as "Suspicious Minds" and "Unchained Melody". He even included a complete version of "Build Me Up Buttercup" which many in the crowd remembered from American Idol and brought everyone to their feet for one of many standing ovations. Guest stars included Ruben Studdard and Linda Eder. Ruben and Clay and Miss Quiana Parlor gave the "big band" treatment to "modern classics" such as "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "Poker Face". It was hilarious! From the ridiculous to the sublime, Linda Eder and Clay did a duet of "Crying". Their voices together were sheer perfection! Clay paid tribute to his fans and recognized one lady who rode a bus 36 hours to get there! He also recognized the teachers who made such an impact in his life and sang a heartfelt version of "In My Life" to them. The show ended with an encore of "Moon River". I'm so looking forward to the broadcast!!!

I have never been to a show that was being taped for TV so this was a new experience for me. I was concerned that cameras and technical personal would be a distraction. That was not the case at all. The show was riveting from start to finish. From the opening curtain, with the beautiful play of the stage lights, the music was full and rich. Wonderful new arrangements of classic, timeless songs, and some I really didn't expect, like the duet of "Crying" with the fabulous Linda Eder. The medley piece with Ruben Studdard and Quiana Parlor was both funny and so good! Who would have expected a big band version of "Poker Face" and "I like Big Butts" to actually sound so good! The only complaint I had was that the whole evening went by too fast. I could have listened all night. The venue was so beautiful and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I never even noticed the technical people when the show started because they worked so well and did not intrude on at all.

Clay Aiken previewed his upcoming album Tried and True to a packed house as part of a television taping for a future PBS special. The genre was 50's and 60's music but with all new jazzy and big band arrangements by Chris Walden. Beginning with an ultra cool version of Mack the Knife and including a specially arranged version of Unchained Melody written just for Clay, the night was a wall of sound and spectacular production. Guests included long time friend Ruben Studdard who performed an interesting medley of today's more popular dance and hiphop songs but in a big band format. Don't miss this when it comes on PBS sometime in early to mid-summer.

Clay Aiken was amazing last night at his PBS Special at Memorial Auditorium. The band was great, the lighting was also one of the best I've seen. His Unchained Melody was fantastic and uniquely Clay! What a voice this man has -- truly a gift! Mr. Aiken is witty and funny and his vocal talent is the best! It was an incredible evening! I hope to be seeing him on tour this summer and on TV promoting his new CD "Tried and True" coming out possibly 6/1. Please have him back at the Memorial Auditorium. This man can sing anything! The venue allowed for Clay's magnificent voice to carry beautifully. He has got the greatest singing voice of anyone in this generation. He is also an incredible showman and entertainer, interacting with the audience wonderfully, very timely witty and humorous on stage. The Christmas show was fabulous. He did all of the Christmas songs we really want to hear and in his own Clay Aiken style that makes him stand out from all other performers. He didn't waste any time on stage singing obscure songs that would have been unfamiliar to the audience. His wardrobe changes throughout the show were classic and subtle, always resulting in a most professional, elegant appearance. I could have sat there for another 6 or so hours and enjoyed further this concert and performance from Clay Aiken. The audience also was never without a full house of enthusiastic applause.

Clay Aiken's show was unforgettable, mesmerizing, and beyond wonderful. His voice touches the soul in a way that makes the spirit feel peace, contentment, and inner joy. Clay sang all of his favorite holiday songs from when he was in the choir as a young boy. His feelings of love for and his connection with these songs is obvious as he every delivers emotion into the presentation. I sat in awe as I always do when hearing him sing, as if I were being a private concert. Once Clay begins to sing, it's as though there is no one else in the room; that is the power of his voice. The show included Clay and an orchestra, different from his previous "Joyful Noise" shows, which had back-up singers and an abundance of hoilday decorations. It was pure Clay! This new format was what the audience was there for; to hear Clay sing like no other can.

Concert was good - Seats were awful - too close to another person, large people could not sit properly. Squeezed into one another - extremely uncomfortable

I have been a Claymate for 10 years; hooked from day one on American Idol. Have been to numerous concerts, but this one is by far the BEST ever! He is like fine wine; gets better with age. His voice is so pure & powerful & yet tender all at the same time. His banter with the audience is side splitting. He is the ultimate entertainer. As a man sitting near me stated after the concert, he mesmerizes the audience & commands the stage & has such a presence; he draws you into a trance. NO ON E comes close to Clay Aiken live!!!! I saw Paul McCartney a few years ago, and there is no comparison to Clay - he beats him hands down as THE performer!

Clay Aiken is the ULTIMATE PERFORMER!!! He puts the audience at ease; shows that he's a regular guy; and has a voice like an angel. I'd go to every concert in every city if I could!

I bought tickets to this concert not realizing it was a Xmas music concert. We all were very disaqppointed after Clay came out and we realized it was going to all be Xmas music. Clay has an excellent voice. I hope he puts on a regular concert soon in the Philly area.

I have attended previous Clay Aiken Christmas concerts and expected this to be of the same quality. It was far below my expectations. Clay missed several notes on many of the songs.. Clay left the stage numerous times to change and while this happened there were recorded stories playing. Very boring. There were no back up singers and the song choice was poor. Not lively and upbeat at all. The most disappointing part was the venue. It was a dump. Unclean, no ambience at all and not a holiday decoration in sight. I had hoped for so much more.

I love Christmas. I love Christmas music. And I love Clay Aiken. So what better way to start the holidays than by combining all 3 of them. I started off the evening watching Clay do the countdown for the Christmas illuminations show at Boardwalk Hall. Then it was on to the Taj Mahal for Clay's Christmas show. He began the show with All Is Well, a beautiful song with a very difficult vocal range. I had heard that he was recovering from the flu, so I crossed my fingers and held my breath...but he hit every note. Did I notice a couple of off notes to his usually perfect voice during the evening? Yes... but I doubt that anyone else noticed. I have just heard him sing so often that I know when he hits a different note. But the bottom line is Clay on a bad day is better than most singers on their best day and there is no other singer that I would rather hear especially at Christmas than Clay Aiken.

Clay's shows are always beautiful and very entertaining. His near perfect vocals, quick wit and sense of humor combine for a great show. Clay sings with such emotion and control making every song his own. This show was no different.

As Raleigh-ites, we are extremely proud of our Clay. I watched him as he rose through the ranks of Idol and brought interest to our area. This is the first time since the show I have seen a full-length Clay concert. He had made various appearances in the area after his runner up final. I was very excited to see him!!! By the 3rd song, I was falling asleep. My daughter, 17, literally had her head on my shoulder and her eyes were closed. Clay s voice is glorious and beautiful and strong. The songs\u2026all Christmas songs\u2026were very slow and mellow. The regular Christmas songs were sung slowly. The slow Christmas songs, well, they just inched along for days it seemed. They also had a campy, Vegas-y feel. I am sure he just wanted to showcase his awesome voice, but just went a little bit too far in his attempts. He has a very small but intense group of followers who have seen him numerous times. They seem to love this show. I enjoyed it, but eh, it didn t fill me with joy and enthusiasm as a concert usually does. Also, even though this was a Christmas show, I have never seen an artist sing not. one. single. hit. He is adorably awkward on stage. His timing is sometimes just a nano-second off. You know, when you think you re supposed to clap, and he starts talking, and throws you off, so that by the time he stops, the time to clap has passed. And speaking of talking, boy does he talk a lot. His show was a full two hours long. I suppose half was singing and half was talking. He also brought a surprise for the audience. Some girl named Keona who has be touring with him and I guess also appeared on Idol, though I don t remember her. She certainly didn t seem happy to be there. She missed her cue and we had to wait for her to make her way onto the stage, from the very back, in very high heels, and she acted like she seemed to be doing him a favor or something. Clay. Lose the girl. He also had a small orchestra with him who were phenomenal. Really outstanding. If you like Clay and you like Christmas songs, Go. Enjoy. This was my first and last Clay concert. I really am glad I got to see him at all. Checking that off my list.

Everyone knows the man can sing, but he is simply hilarious. The man behind us was laughing so hard that people were laughing at him - in a good way. After the show he said "That guy should be on television." I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I'd go again without hesitation. Fabulous.

The beautiful sounds of holiday music sung by Clay, accompanied by an orchestra; what more could you ask for? His voice ushered in the Christmas season. This concert was a perfect blend of holiday music and artist interaction as we were invited into this hometown hero's inner circle for a few hours. Pure bliss!

Clay Aiken has been a favorite of mine ever since he first appeared on American Idol and this show certainly did not disappoint. As a singer and as an entertainer, he has been blessed with the whole package. My friend and I were positively awestruck by his powerful renditions of a wide variety of Christmas songs selected from the traditional to contemporary. The orchestra was excellent as well and complemented Clay's beautiful voice so nicely. The four Christmas stories told (one by Clay's mother), with piano accompaniment were also very touching, sounding as if they came straight out of one of the "Chicken Soup for the Christmas Soul" books! The entire show was simply wonderful and all in attendance certainly got their money's worth and then some. Great performance, Clay--you continue to make North Carolina proud!

Clay Aiken has such an amazing range in his voice! And he can hold a not longer than anyone else I have heard. He has humor and is a gracious performer!! He is much loved by his Claymate followers as well as anyone who attends a concert. Christmas is his favorite time of year and he does quite well with both familiar and newr Christmas songs.

Some songs were moving and beautifully done Certain notes were so loud they were painful and I actually had to cover my ears There were so many references to the prior shows this one felt "less than" vs new and better In the spirit of connecting with the audience, it didn't seem Clay gave thought to some of his comments. Rather, they were sometimes random, rambling, not cohesive or not the meassge that left me, as part of his audience, glad I was at this show vs a prior one Opening "act" made no sense to me

In addition to his great voice, he was extremely funny and very entertaining. He really connected with the audience with stories and banter. The orchestra was fantastic too. French horns were phenomenal. If you get the chance to see him live, do it. He is talented and gifted and I am thankful he shared his voice with us.

I love Clay and his voice in person is better than anyone can imagine. He did not have his back up girls on this tour. It was a one man show with the orchestra and his piano player. Very intimate. He was his usual quick witted self with a few one on one moments with audience members. The two hours flew by with no intermission. I could not believe it was over when it was over. He did one quick encore with a walk down the right ailse to the exit. He offerred one lucky woman who flew from Japan the night before to see this concert free tickets to the next night's concert, and a 5 o'colck meet and greet to an audience member from Brazil for the next performance. I would have liked to have seen some video moments used behind the orchestra instead of the plain curtain.

Clay is the ultimate performer when it comes to singing and entertaining. He sang each song beautifully -- like no one had ever sung it before. The entire concert was magic to the ears. When he put the entertainer "hat" on, Clay informed and entertained us with observations and comments about current events and the music industry among other topics. He can make you laugh so much that you almost fall out of your seat. At the end of each concert, he lets everyone know that he really appreciates their support.

I took my mother to see the show. It was fantastic! I thought Aiken was just a generic pop singer. I was wrong-he is a master with the great American Song book. His voice is exceptional. One of the best performers I have seen in a while. I was irritated by the women videotaping and snapping photos. I sprung for seats near the front. The lady in the row directly in front of me never looked op from her camera. She kept moving it into our sight line. It was distracting.

Intimate yet casual concert. Clay was very relaxed on stage. I saw him in his other concerts and wondered if he would be able to perform with the same passion. I was very pleased that he was even better than I remember. He entertained the audience with old songs with a new twist and he threw in conversations with the audience (which is nice that he paid attention to the fans). He was funny and sang just like I remember. The arena was not sold out with the crowd at approx 3/4 full. I think this contributed to the intimate atmosphere. He also seemed like he didn't miss the Claymates throwing themselves at him. I did see some but they acted more reserved and left the posters and extra underwear at home! I hope he makes a comeback. I miss his voice on the radio!
