Floater

Both Floater and the opening band Kleveland were very entertaining. I most definitely got my money's worth. I first started in the 21 and over section, but moved after I had the urge to move around a bit more so my group decided to move over to the "mosh pit" area. Having seen Floater before, I was confident that the crowd would be a bit more...buoyant then the older and traditionally more stuffy crowd. Naturally wanting to get as close as possible, my 115 lb. accomplice and I worked our way through the pit, and for the next hour or so we were barraged with flying body parts and a torrent of angry shoves. This isn't exactly angry music, so it was quite off-putting to have to constantly be on my toes for fear of harm befalling myself or my friend when all we wanted to do was jump around. The next time Floater comes to down, I'll have to sacrifice my good viewpoint for breathing room, but it'll be worth it : )

I've seen these guys a couple of times over the last 5 or 6 years, but they have gotten better every time! I love seeing them at smaller venues, so much more up close and personal. The show was incredible and I am officially in love! The opening band, Zeperelli,(?) was a totally rocking chick band that my husband and I both give 2 thumbs up for too! Please come back to the Washington County Fair guys! I live 2 blocks away and next time you can come to my house when it's over!!!! Thanks Floater, you ROCK! I'll be sportin ur T-shirt today. V.

If you like bass guitar driven music (Primus), you'll love Floater. I know I do.

The PA system was bad even for an outdoor show, but it did not ruin the event. At most Floater shows I don't get anywhwere near center-front stage, for fear of getting moshed to death, but this was not the usual Floater crowd. I was right up against the barrier and suffered no elbow jabs, kicked shins or broken ribs. Floater always puts on a great show. It's amazing the amount of talent you can witness for a $15 ticket.

floater was so on and together. one of their best shows i have seen. they kept going into riffs which was great. looked like they were having fun. and they actually had a great opening band.

I have been to (5) Floater events, and this is by far the best one so far. The sound was clear and amazing, there was room to move around and yet if you wanted a mosh pit, you could go up front and be right in the center of it. it was totally amazing, it was incredible and unforgettable and so totally American!!! I listened to the music with my honey and just ahead of me I watched families sharing good times and creating memories. These kids will NEVER forget Mom & Dad taking them to the Washington County Fair and watching the band Floater. And the band respected the fact there were children present. My respect to the band.

Floater is a great band there latest CD is more mellow then usual still a dependable good rock'n roll. I liked it and would totally see them again.

I have been following Floater since 1996. My first show was 12/96 @ La lunas (now closed) in Portland. I can say every Floater show has not let me down. The feeling you get inside when hearing this band play is one you wont want to let go.

Great show comprised of some old favorites like Cinima and Danny Boy, lots of Stone by Stone era stuff with some new material (4 songs) and some unexpected covers like Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode and Helter Skelter by the Beatles for the 2nd encore. Crystal Ballroom kicks ass with flexible floor and great sound. Only bummer was weak and expensive mixed drinks!

great show as usual by floater. was irked at the crystal ballroom ending the show pre-midnight so they could have another late night show of some sort. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Floater is always phenomenal. I have been going to Floater shows since 1994, and they are easily one of my favorite bands.

When we first saw Floater, it was 1995 at the old La Luna opening for the greatest Portland band, Sweaty Nipples. I have lost track of how many times we have seen them, but they never disappoint. The one song I was hoping they would play, the newer Weightless, gave me chills with the crowed singing along. Floater's newer songs fit perfect along with classics like Cinema and Danny Boy. It is rare and very cool how loved this band is by their fans, and they continue to be a reliably great show every time. This show rates 2nd to when the band provided the soundtrack to a little boat trip on the Portland Spirit a few years back that included a jaw dropping cover of Elton John's Rocket Man. Good job guys and thank you for yet another memorable show. Please keep up the great music and see you next show.

Floater always puts on a great show. With a small venue like the Show box Sodo lounge you have great interaction with the group. Rob, Pete & Dave put a full effort into all of their performances. This world is a better place because of their talent and we are all so lucky that they share this with us. We try to make it to every Seattle show and will continue to as long as Floater is playing.
