The quality of hockey was top notch. The fans were electric. and the action was nonstop. Much more affordable than a NHL game and was worth every penny. Highly recommend watching a Storm game. can't wait to do it again.

Aimee Mann put on a fantastic show at the Wilbur. The set list was loaded with tracks off her new album and peppered with some of her older solo material as well (no Til' Tuesday). The acoustics of the venue played very well with music creating a warm and inviting sound. The addition of the 4 string instruments really added depth and a sound to the music that really enriched the experience. It was one of the first shows on the tour so there were a few candid moments that really made it even more entertaining.

Sleeping Beauty is a bit of a dry plot, when compared to the more action-packed Nutcracker or equivalent ballets. Lending to the confusion, no program booklets were handed out for the performance, so it made it tricky to guess the number of acts/intermissions, let alone follow some of the characters in the last act (if you weren't familiar with the ballet) or even the names of the dancers. The scenery was nice, costumes very sparkly and appealing, and dancers were very good. The theater was absolutely beautiful and historic. There's a whole separate club area with a bar and food, but I was confused as to how anyone could stand in the concessions line and eat in the short intermission time. The bathrooms are downstairs - I don't know if I noticed handicap access. We managed to find a nearby $12 parking lot, but, for the price of the tickets and the exorbitant handling fees, I wish parking had been included.

I was so excited to see him play in Minneapolis. I have wanted to see him play live for YEARS and I was completely blown away. He and his band exceeded my wildest expectations. The only criticism is that he didn't play until the early morning hours. I am very happy. Checked another off my bucket list.

As Prince says "When I want sax, I call Candy" (Partyman video, 1989) She is the most amazing, warm, talented, magical saxophone player of our time. Her Dutch background infused with her years of hits have made her shows absolutely enchanting, funky and smooth. I discovered her through Prince, and now I never miss a chance to see her!

WHL is a great use of an evening. Cheaper than a movie - more exciting than watching NHL at home. Highly recommended. Good community spirit too.

Excellent concert. Emanuel Ax did the Mozart Concerto No. 14 (K. 499) for piano and orchestro, and he and Orion Weiss played the Concerto No. 10 (K. 365) for two pianos and orchestra. The Asheville Symphony also did the Sinfonia in D Major by Antonio Salieri (q.v. Amadeus the play or movie) and Symphony No. 5 by Schubert, which is a tribute to Mozart. So all late 18th century with a Mozart connection. Ax and Weiss received lengthy standing ovations and performed an encore.
